So naturally, I got drunk, ugly-cried through three bottles of wine, and broke into my best friend’s apartment wearing nothing but a hoodie and a green sheet mask.
What I didn’t know?
He’d sublet it to a green-eyed Bratva killer—hotter than hell, meaner than sin, and absolutely not here for my meltdown.
Now, 100 days later, I’m not just his problem.
I’m his bride. And his baby mama.
Anton Malikov is not the kind of man you survive groping in a drunken haze. Which is a problem… because I second-base’d him like he was a door handle and I was blindfolded.
He's Bratva. Lethal. Quiet. The last face people see when they've made the wrong choice. And now... I'm one of those people.
Turns out breaking into the wrong apartment was just my warm-up act. The real disaster started a few days later—when I accidentally uncovered a laundering scheme at work and got myself added to a Bratva kill list.
Now I'm living in his penthouse—under his rules, his protection, and very much his control. And somewhere between dodging danger, spilling secrets, and trying really hard not to climb him like a tree...
I let him in.
One bed. Too many nights pretending I didn't want him in it. And then I let him ruin me the only way he knows how— obsessively. Completely. On every surface he could find.
100 Days to Ruin Me is Book 1 of the Mark by Malikov duet. Mary and Anton’s story continues — darker, deeper, and more dangerously addictive — in Book 2, 100 Days to Claim Me.
I do love a good mafia story and this one did not disappoint, I loved this book. It's well written and the characters are great. There's abit of humour in the book too which was fantastic and the book is fast paced. another fantastic book by Mya Grey.
Ahhh Yes! Mya does not disappoint once again. We have Mary who accidentally invades Anton's world trying to escape her feelings. Little does either of them realize they will be in very close proximity to each other for the foreseeable future. This story is very well written. All the characters are perfect. Lots of suspense, action, trauma, electricity sparking between Anton and Mary. I highly recommend this book. It's a delightful Mafia read. And I am totally looking forward to reading the rest of their story in book 2.
I want to know how tall Mary is because her weight and physique are constantly talked about as though she’s plus sized, but she apparently weighs 138lbs. On what fucking planet, in 2025, is an adult woman who weighs 138 plus size???
Anton appears to live in Vegas full time and owns multiple units in some fancy building (which he claims he’s never even been to, but he’s got multiple different cars in the parking garage 🤨), so why in the world is he subletting Jasper’s apartment short term and then staying in some janky motel? His character and back story were not thought out at all.
Gordo should’ve just been her cat instead of one who she steals from her neighbor.
I was lucky enough to receive this book as an ARC reader and while it ended right in the middle of some action it didn’t feel like I was at the end of the first book. It was crazy. I loved all of the characters! The MFC, Mary, is a wee bit annoying but in the way that she’s just so naive but also thoroughly enjoyable AND relatable!!! The MMC, Anton, is quiet and broody but also so likeable! As every bratva and mafia reader knows there is always a crew behind the leader and Anton’s crew is intriguing! I hope Mya Grey writes books for them as well! Can’t wait for 100 Days to Claim Me (book 2)!
Lucky enough to get an ARC of this part one of a Duet.
Look…I am a sucker for a good Bratva book. Let me tell you, this one hits it out of the park. I literally couldn’t put it down. Devoured the entire thing in one go.
Character’s are well written, story is fast paced and exciting. It has all the heat, but a brewing romance that takes you for a ride right until the end. It leaves you on your seat and ready for book 2. Wish I had it right now.
Re-reading this after a few days and it seems like I was pretty annoyed when I wrote it. :-) Maybe I'll modify it later.
The author requests reviews that let her know how this made readers feel, so here goes: DNF at 14%. I felt angry. And then I felt despair - for the human race, for logical reasoning, for narrative craft and skill, for respect for genre conventions, for the meaning of words, for the future of the dictionary.
So, apparently, we need to clear up a few structural terms. 1. a PROLOGUE can only be in the beginning of a text. Even if it references the end of the story, by definition, it is not an epilogue, which can only go at the end of the text. This trend of putting mid or end action moments in the beginning of romance novels is dumb and generally not used to good effect in the contemporary romance novels I have read. But in any case, it’s still a prologue – in this case, a flash-forward prologue, not an epilogue. It’s not a cutesy narrative device to put “epilogue” in the front of chapter one. Here it is wrong, and annoying.
Aristotle defined dramatic structure as having a beginning, middle, and end. The prologue (prologos) is part of the beginning—it precedes the main action. An epilogue comes after the resolution. The etymology makes this crystal clear: prologos (Greek: pro = before + logos = word) vs. epilogos (epi = after + logos = word). These aren't stylistic suggestions; they're embedded in the linguistic DNA of the terms.
I would bet this whole thing was assembled with AI and very little human oversight and supported by fraudulent review farms, but I can’t prove it. I actually hope that’s the case because otherwise it’s just cause to be more depressed about the future of human intelligence – if the 4 and 5 star reviews can be assumed genuine.
Everything about this is offensive to the genre and readers because it treats us like a mindless audience of cash cows, ready to eat up any garbage they can thoughtlessly slap together. This book exemplifies why contemporary romance is drowning in low-quality mass production: authors who view readers as exploitable revenue streams rather than intelligent consumers deserving of craft and respect. It is stuffed with nonsensical and blatant filler: *In the author’s note: "Is the book long? I tried to make it long. Really, I did. But apparently my attention span (and Mary's anxiety) had other plans." – so then where did the momentum come from to split this into two books? Somehow, unwieldy book + short attention span = two books?
Before chapter 1 starts there is: 1 page for the title and author name, which comes after the front cover image. 2 copyright paragraphs covering two pages, 3 pages of chapter links ( useful, appropriate) 3 double sided pages of what should be back matter list of the authors other “books.” 3 pages of trigger warnings! For godssake- stop treating readers like idiots – a dictionary of TWs in an alleged mafia romance is insane. This much TW: • Pads the page count, performative safety theater • Spoils plot points • Undermines narrative tension • Is condescending and insulting to readers who can handle dark romance without handholding. Modern romance seems stuck between wanting the edgy appeal of dark content while simultaneously apologizing for it and cushioning readers from it. You can't have it both ways. Either commit to the genre or don't write it. 2 pages for an author’s note, which should also go in the back. 3 pages of a repeat of the blurb. (Authors, please stop doing this. It serves no purpose other than to add padding to page reads. I already have this information; it’s why I downloaded the book.) Then, 11 pages of the incorrectly titled, “epilogue.” *Incidentally – the KU download is free, and there is a print copy available for - $18.99. Neither is worth the price.
More filler and bad writing: pages and pages of single sentence paragraphs. For instance, here in the first 3%, there are 7 consecutive lines of single sentence paragraphs: "But it feels like love. The dangerous kind. The kind that ruins you. I shouldn't want that. I should be terrified. But instead, I'm drenched in it." This is egregious page padding, and it continues interminably throughout the book. The book also ends with a blurb for book two, which you can be sure will also contain this blurb in case you forget. By the way, WHY doesn’t the story begin with the break-in? That’s actually a great plot idea. I’m so fucking tired of being interested in a great-sounding story only to be disappointed with atrocious execution. Why is a Bratva enforcer subletting an apartment from an average citizen? Unclear if they know each other but it doesn’t sound like it. Why did Mary not know that her BEST FRIEND sublet his apartment when he left town for two months?
In addition to all of that – the writing is bad:
-Gems like “knowing the exact sound he makes when he yawns” -Scenes like this initial meeting where he enters the room, finds her in his sublet apartment, he has two lines to her 4 pages of monologue with absolutely no sign this guy is still in the room. “My cock twitches once.” Oddly specific. Is he counting twitches? If it twitches three times, does an angel get his wings or should he go to the hospital? He loves that her belly isn’t flat. She’s real, solid. He picks her blind drunk body up to dump her on the bed, for some reason, and he thinks to himself: "When was the last time I saw someone sleep like that? Without fear. Without checking exits or sleeping with one eye open." "One hundred and thirty-eight pounds, I estimate automatically. I've carried enough bodies to know weight by feel" "Dead bodies are awkward. All angles and resistance, fighting gravity and rigor mortis" The MCs pathetic self-talk: “I’ve been called hot more times in the past hour than in my entire miserable existence. By one woman. With wine breath.” Then later, after he leaves her, he can’t stop thinking about the sexy girl with the not flat stomach and the green face mask who was drunk and apparently not smelling of bad breath, because she was wearing a hoodie and underwear when she babbled like a drunk and then passed out. So hot. So unforgettable.
This reads like the Circle K cashier co-writing a romance with the wino who sleeps out front.
Then there are the cliché crimes against humanity:"[Noun] that [verb/adjective] like [metaphor] and [second metaphor]" • "A kiss that tastes like cheap merlot and delusion" • "An apartment that smells like wet pavement and bad choices" • "Snoring like a drunk kitten with sinus problems" Speaking of the cat - "The cat responds with what looks like a purr."
"A larger ginger cat appears from nowhere, weaving between her legs like it owns the place. She crouches down, scratches behind its ears, says something I can’t hear. The cat responds with what looks like a purr. And I see her face. She’s smiling. Actually smiling. At a fucking cat. Who the hell smiles these days? Real smiles, not the razorblade grins I see in boardrooms and back alleys. Not the painted-on bullshit that comes before someone asks for money or mercy. Just… soft. Genuine. When was the last time I saw that? A face that wasn’t calculating an angle or hiding a knife? Suka. I go still. It’s her. Mary. The girl from the apartment. The wine-soaked accident. The kiss I haven’t been able to forget. The one I imagined fucking until she was screaming, her pussy clenching around me as she came, over and over, her full tits bouncing with every thrust, her pink nipples pinched between my fingers until she gasped for air.”
100 Days to Ruin Me is the first book in Grey's Mark by Malikov duology. This series features Mary Catherine Sullivan and Anton Malikov.
When Mary's boyfriend of 6 years broke up with her via text, she headed over to her best friend's house. Jasper Saint James happened to be in Milan at the time, but Mary knew where to find the spare key. She drowned her sorrows in alcohol and karaoke. She was good and drunk when a man, who was not her best friend, stood in the room, staring at her while she had a breakdown. She was shocked to find out that Jasper had sublet his place to this man. He asked her to leave but she ended passing out.
Anton, a Bratva enforcer known as The Reaper, rented Jasper's place expecting to have silence and privacy. When he stumbled upon Mary, he was not amused. He placed her in the bedroom, where she may have acted indecently in her inebriated state. He admitted to himself that he found her to be very attractive, and soft in all the places he likes a woman to be soft, but he did the proper thing and walked away. When Mary woke up the next morning, all traces of the mystery man were gone.
Mary and Anton's paths would cross again. Anton was on a mission to find the man who betrayed the Bratva and stole from his Pakhan. As it so happened, Mary worked at a bank and happened upon a money laundering scheme. As someone who knew too much, Mary quickly ended up with a target on her back. Anton stepped in to save her from death, and ended up stowing her away in his luxury penthouse.
Mary and Anton end up spending a lot of time together. Their forced proximity and mutual attraction results in a slow burn romance between the unlikely pair, and I loved it! Mary and Anton share a fiery chemistry and wonderfully, witty banter. She is naive to his world, but that makes her more relatable. She is the sunshine to his grumpy, broody self. The author had me both swooning and laughing. It did not take long for me to become captivated by the story and the wonderful characters. I was absolutely hooked! When I reached the end I was shocked as I didn't realize it was being continued in another book (100 Days to Claim Me). Fortunately I unknowingly had that one ready to read so I jumped right in.
This was a fantastic mafia romance. I don't recall having read anything else by Grey however I'm now keen to read all her written works as I found this one incredibly entertaining.
100 Days to Ruin Me begins with an intriguing premise and sparks of genuine promise. The story starts with Mary, who is heartbroken, drunk, and emotionally raw. She shows up at her best friend’s apartment, where she encounters Anton, a man who will soon become far more entwined in her life than she realizes. An impulsive and messy first meeting sets the tone of the story. Then we get the day-to-day of Mary’s life. We spend an extensive amount of time inside her routine, her thoughts, habits, and the small, repetitive details that define her existence. In theory, this should work. Mary is meant to be invisible, a doormat, someone so overlooked that people become lax around her. They underestimate her, dismiss her, and in doing so, unknowingly allow her to see more than she should. And this is where Mary uncovers suspicious transactions at her bank job, and the plot takes a darker, more dangerous turn. The plot idea is solid. An overlooked, doormat heroine stumbles into a web of financial crime, while a morally complex hero watches from the shadows, torn between protecting her and wanting her. Unfortunately, the execution lingers too long on these everyday details and slows the story down, and delays the momentum of the plot. Antón’s role had the potential to create real tension and emotional depth, but seemed to have missed the mark and not quite live up to the concept. The writing pace suffers significantly due to an overreliance on internal monologue. Large portions of the book are spent inside Mary’s thoughts, often focused on filler details (plants, herbs, cats) that stall momentum and weaken the suspense. As a result, the romance barely has room to breathe. Anton and Mary share very little meaningful interaction, and the book ends with their first real romantic encounter, despite a prologue that promises a wedding and a baby. The mismatch between the blurb, the prologue, and the actual story is also jarring, and the mystery element loses impact when the “who” is revealed far too early, especially given that this is the first book in a series. That said, the plot framework is engaging, and several secondary characters are entertaining. With tighter editing and a more balanced approach, the story could have shone. Sadly, it never quite reached its full potential.
The very beginning had me LOLing our loud. This woman, Mary, wrapped in a comforter, wearing only a green colored facial mask and a hoodie uses the hidden key to her friend's apartment to get a little comfort after she was dumped by text. What she does not know is her friend sublet his apartment to a man whose looks could kill, and so could his gun, knife, hands....
Anton is in town looking for the thief who has been skimming millions from his Bratva boss's business. His mission is to find, question (torture) and kill this man then find and return the stolen money. He just wanted a quiet place to stay while working. Instead he gets a three bottles of wine drunk woman in his apartment who passes out. Greatly put out, he still places her in his bed and lets her sleep it off while he looks for new accommodations.
In the meantime, Mary is staying late at work when she sees some very irregular activity on a group of accounts. A misdirected email from her boss gives her even more data and she now knows there is something very illegal going on.
When he learns the bank being used to launder the stolen money is the same one Mary works at he thinks she could be the answer to all his questions. Is she involved? Or just innocently working at the same place used to disappear this money. When he sees a gunman aiming for her through the door of her grandmother's home, he saves her and decides she must accept his protection and spy at her bank for more details until this entire problem is solved.
The characters in this book are a delight. Lev is a comic relief character in between cutting up and disposing of bodies. Dima is the one who never says more words than he has to. Mary is the good girl, who just takes whatever others dish her way, believing she deserves no better and Anton, well he's Anton. One part sexy, one part beautiful male and three parts dangerous.
I loved this book. It grabbed me from the first words and I did not put it down until it was finished. Can't wait for book 2 in a few weeks.
Mary & Anton a 5 Star read I absolutely LOVED this author's writing style !!! Mary Catherine Sullivan & Anton Malikov get married first chapter in; she's two months pregnant. Their attraction to each other has been electric ! Her only witness at her outdoor wedding is her grandmother. Jasper Saint James, is also there and almost makes her laugh at the altar. He's a man, from Milan. In her words, he's a runaway disaster that she's known since 7th grade best friends, who mugs at her wedding, "If he murders you, I will avenge you." Made me smile ! She got married to her Bratva killer; she's both thrilled and scared ! She's just been an overlooked, unappreciated banking complaint taker according to her broken confession ! Her ex, Evan was really a piece of work. Good riddance. Then we GET to see a hundred days earlier when Mary messed up ! It's hysterical ! Ad her grandmother is homey and funny too ! Anton is known as, The Reaper and is in Vegas looking for Viktor Kozlov who skimmed 2 million dollars from a Bratva casino. Anton's Pakhan , Igor is paranoid. He wants him found to get his money back ! And he's getting more deadly paranoid as the days drag on. Ray Bishop, is an ex-black ops now freelance fixer meets up with Anton, offering a place to stay. Bishop owes Anton and they survived things together. People who are closer to Anton are: Boris , is his clean up bodies and tracking phones guy. Lev just likes disposing of bodies and he's funny too ! Dima is a whole different kind of killer guy, he barely talks at all just that glacier like stare. This part of the story kept me all in this and I liked how the story went into the previous days BEFORE the wedding. Now, I'm looking forward to Part 2 of their story, " 100 Days to Claim Me". I received an ARC and these are my own thoughts about it !
Mary is like a wall flower, someone that only get noticed when they need something or want to make fun of her to belittle her.She works in a bank where she gets belittle by the other tellers and her boss, she get treated like crap by her boss one moment and then turns around and asks her to do some work for him so he can go off with his side piece. But this time she got in trouble because she notice something isn't quite right about some numbers and she brings it up to her boss Dave and he says she shouldn't of notice that and asks who she told,of course she tells him no one because she has no one only her grandmother, she needs this job so she can buy groceries and meds for her grandmother. She feels loss, her boyfriend of six years drops her by text,so she ends up at her friends apartment to toast her lost but she didn't know that he rented out to some mafia cover boy man and she is so drunk that she gropes some strange man.Anton is a very hard man and he doesn't crack for no one but the longer he is around her his shell is cracking. This story is so beautiful written, it has caring, love, hope,it's intense and I hated to put it down. This story roots for the underdog, from Mary just being a wallflower, Anton with a shell around his heart that was Un crackable till he met her to even Ditri who doesn't say to words much until he gets task in taking her to the grocery store.Im team Anton all the way because he usually does his job,he is the Reaper, but when he met Mary she wasn't just a job,she was that person who was going to change his life! I knew this was a two part story so I make it when Anton's story came out,I wouldn't read it until Mary's story was set to come out so I could slide right into her story! This story was worth more then five stars and I like the eye candy for the cover,a good strong Russell stud!
This book is so jucy and a can't wait for the second half of 100 days already I mean that beginning poor Mary her 6 year relationship just sailed away she was literally dumped by this toad Evan by text who dose that so Mary goes crazy puts on her green face mask stagers over to her friends place and makes herself at home on his liquor only it's not really his any more no it belongs to the leathel and dangerous bratva killer Anton Malikov at least temporarily while his in town on business someone is stealing from his Pakhan the guys a paranoid jerk but he's still his boss so imagine one killer Bratva guy finding this tragedy of a female in his rental and she's literally all over him he scares grown men but this tiny but curvy female blitzed out of her mind can't keep her hands off of him so he dose the only thing he can do put her to bed to sleep it off and find other accommodations finish the job and move on because what are the odds hill every see that train wreck again oh its moor then possible lol Mary Margaret what have you done. Mary dosen't remember much has a killer headache and is suffering from one royal hangover when she receives a text that makes her remember ever drunken thing she did embarrassed much and then she stumbles across some weird activity at her bank that puts her back in the presence of said scary hot killer and some other dirt bags that will do anything to keep there secret Mary goes from this doormat people pleaser to someone with a spine and grit so maybe Mary belongs in this new world of danger and murder after all. This book has a slowburn build up that gets heated and leaves you hanging for the next installment ugh. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
I have read in Mya Grey books before, but this book caught my attention and since I love to read books about mafia romances be it Italian, American, Russian and other mafia romances such as Mexican Cartel, Bratva. This is the story of Anton who is a Bratva enforcer and timid Mary whose only relative is her grandmother since her mother is dead and her father might as well be. Mary works in a bank where she gets belittled by the other tellers and her boss, she gets treated like crap by her boss one moment and then turns around and asks her to do some work for him so he can go off with his side piece. But this time she got in trouble because she notice something isn't quite right about some numbers and she brings it up to her boss Dave and he says she shouldn't of notice that and asks who she told, of course she tells him no one because she has no one only her grandmother, she needs this job so she can buy groceries and meds for her grandmother. Mary had gone to her friends Jasper's home because he said she could come when she needed to vent not thinking she went without calling him and he was out of town and it appears that he had sublet the condo to someone, and she didn't know and he comes their and finds Mary their drunk. Drunk Mary is truthful Mary, and she starts telling him how beautiful he is and other suggestive things she would not say if she wasn't drunk, having drunk a bottle of wine because her boyfriend had dropped her by email or text. Then later Anton and Mary meet again and thus begins their relationship. Anton Malikov and Mary Cathrine Sullivan have now begun a relationship and it's not what she envisioned in her fantasies. Can't wait to read book 2 of this...Mark by Malikov series.
First comes money laundering. Then comes a Bratva enforcer, and his crew. Then comes marriage and a baby carriage.
Somehow I don’t think that’s exactly how that’s supposed to go, but, then again, we’re living in the Bratva world.
Mya Grey has hit it out of the park with 100 Days To Ruin Me! It’s a whirlwind of love, loss and lust.
Mary (fmc) is an absolute train wreck. Her personal and professional lives are one step away from being declared a disaster area. Her boyfriend (well, her ex) is a cheat. Her grandma is sick. And she works a dead end job as a bank teller. And when she comes across some financial irregularities, that’s when her troubles really start.
Anton (mmc) is an enforcer for the Bratva. He’s been sent to track down a thief, find the money and bring them both to the boss. Along the way he meets Mary in an unforgettable, drunken karaoke-filled meet-cry-kiss-grope. (Just a small invasion of personal space.) Now Anton is hooked, and he spends more time saving her life than finding the thief and the missing money.
Add in Anton’s crew, and you have laughs, hits, a new wardrobe and more laughs!
This was such a fun and engaging read. I can’t wait for 100 Days To Claim Me. Yes, it does end on a cliffhanger, but, the second book will be out later this month!!
I received an advanced copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Whelp! I wondered where this book was going to go and it ends on a Cliffhanger that forces you to book two if you want to find out, and I do.
This is the story of Anton Malikov and Mary Catherine Sullivan. Anton is Bratva and pretty much a stone cold killer. Mary is the doormat at your local bank.… timid, unnoticed, but reliable, sweet and customer oriented.
Unnoticed that is until she stumbles upon something that brings her directly into the line of sight of Anton.
Anton is stoic, masculine, gorgeous, large and in charge of both is his emotions and his people….. except when it comes to Mary. He thinks about her far too often, he’s making concessions he’s never made in his life and he’s serving her needs along with keeping her safe. All things he’s fighting to avoid at all costs. In other words… he’s fighting his own emotions.
This is definitely a slow burn romance. In fact the entirety of book one is setting up for book two. There’s no romance, no spice, nada… just the premise that it’s coming. I’m not a big fan of reading an entire book without something…
But having said that, it was a good book. I don’t know that I’d read it again, but I’m interested enough to start book two and see where it goes. 4 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Well that was a good read. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters and the chemistry build up.
This is part one of a book duet and even though it's a romance you'll have to wait to for any sexy times, but it will still keep you reading. We get both Anton and Mary's pov which is always a bonus.
Characters.
Mary a women that doesn't see her worth, due to a shit ex boyfriend who treated her bad. Shes all women and has curves. She works in bank. She's very likable and real.
Anton the Bratvas reaper, I could call him a stalker too, or is he just besotted with stalkerish qualities, which is acceptable in books lol. In Antons world Mary goes from suspect, asset to needs protection and then more.
There is ofcourse a Bratva/danger story going on as well so let me introduce you to Antons men, Lev is his right hand man, he is cheeky and can see the pull between Mary and Anton and likes to mess with Anton. Dima he is a quiet brooding man, but there's more to him, then there's Boris too.
As I mentioned the storyline and characters carry you easily through this book.
I loved the authors 'hey lovely' note at the end so onto book 2.
Ps. I just started book 2 and trust me the wait was worth it!
I really enjoyed the slightly lowered pacing towards the development of deeper feelings between Mary & Anton - it really created a bigger build-up of emotions between them, while the other exciting sub-plots lead us towards the climax - I felt like I really knew the characters more than I did in the author's earlier work because of this.
Reading one of these darker romance books with a romance angle that really works as well as the action & drama isn't too common; however here I really become caught up with the leads mutual attraction, budding romance and their feelings of mistrust. The development of their feeling towards each other doesn't feel too rushed given the surrounding circumstances, and their chemistry is instantly apparent.
In addition to the romance & criminal elements there is a whole series worth of soap opera worthy drama, so I couldn't begin to guess at what would happen next. The Bratva family internal & external rivalries are very thrilling and the scheming, infighting & plotting involved is totally gripping. Mixed together with the dark romance elements, the humour, the soap opera levels of drama combine to make this impossible to put down.
What a ride! I absolutely loved this book. Mya Grey has a real gift for atmosphere — her description of Mary’s little flat was so vivid I felt like I was right there on the balcony, watering that glorious mishmash of plants. I could see it, smell it, feel it.
The characters were an absolute treat. Brooding Anton, instantly smitten with Mary, and Mary — making that drunken pass at him (brilliant!). Their chemistry crackles off the page. Mary herself completely stole my heart. She’s someone who’s constantly picked on by her colleagues and haunted by her awful ex, yet she keeps going — loyal, loving, and utterly devoted to her wee granny.
And then there’s Anton’s entourage ie “ Mafia Crew” who are equal parts hilarious and irreverent. Their banter had me grinning, even as they treated their formidable boss with a mix of worship and cheek.
All in all, 100 Days to Ruin is a sharp, funny, and heartfelt read with irresistible characters.
The ending! Holy cow, it wrecked me! Mya Grey never ceases to amaze me. The FMC, Mary, is bullied and taken advantage of by her co workers and ex. She just holds her head down, does what they ask, and never fights back. All she has left is her Grandma, who’s sick and whom she takes care of, along with the neighbors cat, Gordo. And then, her honesty and work ethic gets puts her on the Mafia’s radar, money laundering and stealing from the Pakan. Then Anton, the MMC, and his crew, whom are looking into her bank and certain deposits and transactions, rescue her, not once, but twice and decide she’s the perfect person to get them all the information they need. Too bad Anton didn’t count on the way she makes him feel alive and extremely possessive. You’re going to be calling her an idiot one minute and screaming at her to run the next and then fanning yourself from all the HEAT between the two of them. The ending ends in a major cliffhanger hanger that’ll have you hot and bothered and begging for book two!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 100 Days to Ruin Me absolutely hooked me from the first chapter. I love Mya Grey’s writing style — it’s smooth, addictive, and has that immersive pull that makes you say “just one more chapter”… and suddenly it’s 3AM. This book drags you in and leaves you desperate for book two.
Mary and Anton completely won me over. Mary is vulnerable and sad in places, but also so sweet and loving. Her devotion to her wee Granny really got me. She deserves the world, yet life keeps throwing one blow after another — especially with the bully coworkers constantly dragging her down. You really feel her exhaustion and resilience.
Anton… I adored him. Stoic, controlled, always composed — which makes the way Mary gets under his skin even better. Watching him unravel because of her was such a satisfying emotional slow burn. Their chemistry is chef’s kiss.
And his crew! They were such a strong addition to the story. Lev especially — absolute menace, but in the best way. I laughed every time he appeared.
This book gave me emotions, tension, softness, and stakes. I’m very invested. Bring on book 2 — I need it immediately.
This is the first book of a duet and it does not disappoint. Mary gets dumped by her boyfriend of six years via text. She can't believe it so she ends up getting drunk and going to her BFF's apartment to use his karaoke machine. Little did she know her had sublet it to Anton. Anton is also known as the reaper, six foot three and all muscle. He walks in on her performance and just observes. She is uninhibited in her intoxicated state and she can't believe what she is seeing. She kisses him and fondled him a bit and he just observes. Little does she know, she has gotten the wrong man's attention. When she is also involved in the case he is working through, he decides she is an asset he can't lose. Good read. Enjoy.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
This was the start of a fire only two people could put out. Mary is your sweet, innocent, floor mat bank associate who knows too much and know has a target on her back. Anton is literally her complete opposite. He is the Bratva's killer, he has cold eyes, kills without mercy and doesn't think twice about doing it. When these two get together, the sexual tension is extreme but left unchecked by both. They fight it hard, he has to keep his head in killer mode, and he has to protect her. Mary has to keep herself from completely freaking out from everything that she has seen. This book has sexual chemistry, murder, betrayal, a bit of humor, loyalty. The characters are perfect for each character. I would love to be in Mary's place minus the mayhem and murder mind you, but I could live with Mr. Strung tight Anton. Lol I can't wait for the second book..
Like all Mya Grey’s books, it is just pure mix of emotions - electrified tension; initial characters’ resistance to believe in love and be loved; thick in the air sense of danger; and really good laugh. This book read requires attention, in sense that characters’ dialogues and self-talks need to be felt and relived, rather than being just quick skip through the pages. Yes, it is classic motive - complications and love between “invisible” bank clerk and hot Bratva underboss - Mary and Anton. However, at some point I started wonder what would be the love story of Lev or Boris or Dima? How they would handle and balance responsibilities and feelings. Oh Gosh, so many options! And despite all these thoughts and emotions, we are still very much at the beginning of Mary’s and Anton’s story. Still so much to understand, interpret, feel and reimagine. I cannot wait to open Book 2.

I'm not a great fan of duets as I'm impatient and want the whole story, but for this author, I happily made an exception. I'm so glad I did. This is a fun, hot read that tells how Mary and Anton met. When Mary was dumped by text by her long-term boyfriend, she was upset and shocked, and ended up drunk at her best friend's apartment. What she didn't know was that it had been sublet to Anton.
Anton is shocked to find her performing on the Karioki machine and at first observes her. Because of the drink, Mary feels uninhibited, and as soon as she sees him, she kisses him and gets a little too hands-on! But she's gotten the wrong man's attention.
As I said, it's well worth reading and I can't wait for the next instalment. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book and am writing this review voluntarily.
OMG!!! I am totally blown away!! This story of Anton and Mary was so unexpected!! Anton is in deep from the minute he meets her and she drunkenly reaches for him!! I was absolutely captivated by their story. Mary who was used to being quiet and small in the background. Overlooked and cruelly under-estimated by everyone in her world except her beloved grandmother. This book slayed me for all of the women who yearn to be seen and loved and cherished but go on in their lives unseen, unloved and live a life of quiet acceptance of their solitary path. I was blown away by the cliffhanger ending! CANNOT WAIT for the next chapters as Mary's life is going to drastically change!!! Ms Grey you have outdone yourself with this Book!! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Omg! Everything Mya writes is just so damn good! Anton and Mary need each other so badly it bleeds from the pages! Here are two people both desperately needing to be loved that they gravitate towards each other without trying! Mary gets dumped by her boyfriend of six years, and drunkenly goes to her best friend’s place where she meets up with the hottest piece of male goodness she has seen ever! She has a searing groping session with him that is mortified about the next day! On top of all that, she finds herself embroiled in a money laundering scheme at her bank. Now she’s in mortal danger and only Anton can keep her alive. He wants her safe, he wants her help…he just wants her! Now I can’t wait to read book 2! Please!
Mary is a bank associates that helps customers. When her boss asked her to create a report with some information, Mary realizes that something is not right. She copies some pages and places them in her bag. Meanwhile, her boyfriend of six years breaks up with her in a text, and Mary goes on a drinking binge. She heads to her best friend's place without any knowledge that he sublet the apartment. She knows her friend, Jasper, is someplace in Asia so when the door opens she freezes. In walks Anton who continues to stare at her. Mary in her drunkenness tells Anton why she is there and after awhile passes out. Anton places her in one of the guest rooms. The story is really good and you do not want to put the book down. Can't wait for the next one.
I was enjoying this book in the beginning and thought I was going to like it. But the repetitiveness of the smallest thing was killing me. Where I found the fmc funny and quirky in the beginning quickly became way too cringe. The small exchange between both MC’s was so stupid also. How they are suddenly day dreaming about each other after a 30 second conversation is beyond me.
Eventually I just couldn’t be bothered to read it anymore. The storyline had potential but the repetitiveness just killed it for me.
Also why is there an epilogue at the beginning? Especially when it holds zero purpose to the story. I’m assuming the cliffhanger at the end is supposed to shock us but I still feel like it was unnecessary.
When Mary receives a breakup text she goes to her best friend's apartment and gets a surprise she wasn't expecting. Anton can't believe the woman that has camped out in the living room and is trying to decide if she is a ploy or something else. It starts their connection because she ties into why he is in town in the first place and when everything comes out will he have to make a deadly decision when it comes to Mary. This enticing story is filled with twists and turns that draw you in and keep you tied to the characters from start to finish. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
