Last of Breed: Fire in the Green Hell

Rate this book
"Some men chase glory. Others carry the fire."
The jungle does not forgive. It tests, it takes, and it marks the men who survive it.

A hidden city, a hostile jungle, and a team fighting to escape before the Green Hell closes in.

James leads a small, capable team into the African interior to confirm a rumor about a ruin city buried deep in the bush. The job should be simple, follow the lead, verify the site, and get out clean. But when they reach the ruins, the team discovers a city that never truly died, guarded by men who operate far from law, oversight, or mercy.

CJ, an international lawyer and antiquities specialist, understands the significance of what they have found. Perry, the forensics and tech expert, documents every detail. And Mombato, their trusted guide and skilled tracker, keeps them moving through terrain that punishes every mistake.

The moment the team steps inside the city’s perimeter, everything turns hostile. Corrupt officials close in. Armed groups seal off escape routes. The jungle presses hard and strips them down to grit, judgment, and trust.

Their mission shifts from verification to survival as they fight to uncover the truth behind the active ruin city and escape the Green Hell before it consumes them.

Perfect for readers who want grounded action, real-world stakes, and a high-tension modern adventure built on skill, danger, and raw willpower.

"Some men chase glory. Others carry the fire."
For James, it is not only survival. It is about what you pass on when the world tries to take it.

A men’s adventure novel in the tradition of Wilbur Smith, Clive Cussler, James Rollins, David Morrell, and Jack Carr, Fire in the Green Hell is part survival thriller, part philosophical odyssey, and the beginning of a saga where history itself hangs in the balance.

Perfect for readers who
• Survival thrillers set in wild frontiers
• Men's adventure fiction with grit and heart
• Echoes of Wilbur Smith, Cormac McCarthy, and Joseph Conrad
• Ethos-style unapologetic storytelling
• Stories of loyalty, brotherhood, and carrying legacy forward

If you like Indiana Jones, The Mummy, or National Treasure-style adventure films, you will enjoy this book series.

About the author

Corey Molinelli

3 books4 followers
Corey Molinelli has lived the kind of life most adventure novels only dream about being. A former Army explosives and counter-terrorism specialist, Executive Protection and security professional, he has spent years operating in dangerous places, teaching survival and gun fighting skills, walking wild roads where few dare to go. When he’s not in the field, on an expedition, living on an international mission in some inaccessible jungle or village, or on some remote adventure, he’s writing — bringing the grit, fire, and danger of real-life experience to the page.
His debut novel fuses survival, brotherhood, and the eternal fight between good and evil into a raw men’s-adventure story written in a style that echoes Hemingway and Male Ethos: stripped down, unapologetic, and brimming with life-or-death stakes.

Follow Corey as he continues to tell stories of warriors, wild places, and the lessons that shape men into who they were born to be.

“Carry the fire. Carry the story.”
