The Truth That Stayed Silent: Friendship, Betrayal, And A Daughter's Promise To Find The Truth

Rate this book
What if the dead… never truly died?

A forged document. A missing city. A font that never should’ve existed.

Nitya thought she was starting a new job. Instead, she stepped into the shadows of a past that never let go.

When a routine insurance investigation reveals a series of impossible clues — fake death certificates, suspicious claims, and documents stamped with fonts invented years after the “date of death” — Nitya finds herself chasing more than just a scam. She’s chasing ghosts. Ghosts with names her heart already recognizes, even if her mind doesn’t yet understand why.

As each clue uncovers buried lies and fractured friendships, a trail begins to emerge — one that leads back decades, to four inseparable friends torn apart by silence. And in that silence, someone made a promise. A promise now passed down to her.

A story of friendship, betrayal, and a daughter’s search for answers in the ashes of secrets.

Because sometimes, the truth isn’t just hidden. It’s protected.

The Truth That Stayed Silent is a powerful emotional thriller that blends corporate fraud, investigative mystery, and heartbreakingly human choices — perfect for readers who love layered storytelling with a strong female lead.

Perfect Blend of Emotion and Mystery

An amazing tale of friendship, betrayal, and the pursuit of truth. The narrative is deeply emotional yet thrilling at the same time. The daughter’s character is strong and admirable, giving the story a meaningful direction. The relationship dynamics are well-written. I loved every bit of it. One of the best emotional stories I’ve read in a long time.

This book had me hooked till the very end. The inner conflict, the betrayal, and the moral compass of the characters are portrayed exceptionally. The author beautifully captured the emotional turmoil of a daughter who refuses to give up on her promise. A brilliant story that deserved all the praise
