I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and even though I wasn’t required to post a review, I had to share my honest, voluntary impression I had upon finishing it.
Ella has written a heartwarming story about two lonely people- one still closed off after her husband’s
death and the other closed off after his divorce.
When her roof is leaking after Christmas, Jessica needs to get it fixed but everyone she calls is busy until a friend suggests the contractor who is working at the town doctors home doing restoration work there. She calls and after an awkward first meeting and an apology from both of them later she agrees to let him do the job.
They feel a pull towards each other but fear and uncertainty are present because of their pasts and when a casual remark has unexpected consequences, he leaves town instead of staying. Apart they realize how lonely they are apart and reconnect once again later on.
I really enjoyed this story of people who finally took the courage to be brave instead of safe and allow themselves to feel happy again even though they were scared!
I loved the small hometown feelings this book generated within me- of people who truly cared and looked out for each other because they actually cared about them not because they felt it was an obligation!
I heartily recommend this book as I know you’ll love Serendipity Springs and it’s people just as much as I do! Let the magic of this town settle inside you and leave you feeling warm and glad you read such a wonderful book!

They get off on the wrong foot as he is late and criticizes the past patch job, not knowing it was the last repair her husbdand did before dying. If you love those classic holiday movies that wrap you in warmth and familiarity, this New Year–themed romance will be right up your alley. It has all the cozy, heartwarming charm you’d expect from a feel-good seasonal story. And it’s especially nice to have a romance centered around New Year for once—something you don’t see as often, which gives the book a slightly unique twist.
For me personally, the story was a bit too foreseeable. The beats were familiar, and I could often predict where things were headed. Still, the comfort and coziness of the book made it an enjoyable read nonetheless.

It must be wonderful to live in this charming town with annual entertainment and accepting, caring townspeople.
Jessica's and Ryan's connection is new and fragile, so it is easy for disagreements to blow out of proportion. Lots of thinking, overthinking, and helpful advice are given before they come to the right conclusions.
Ryan's real personality is so much better than him trying to be someone else unnaturally for the wrong reasons, and in the process, not being truly happy.
Jessica has a great, talented daughter. I like their mother-daughter relationship.

Ella Score has given us an awesome read once more . Full of heart ,who could ask for more? Jessica Martin is trying her best ,wants to hold her head up high and keep going for her daughter. An handyman does more than fix her leaking roof. Ryan Jackson is the real deal if she can allow herself to feel the love they can be sure of. A sweet romance ,a dalliance . Two hearts that are meant to be if they gave each other a chance . Love ,love ,love this storyline,it’s simply superb,I thought it might be on reading the blurb. Awesome storytelling by Ella about a young lady and an handyman fella. Compelling and cute to boot.

This is my first book by Ella Score and wow! I really enjoyed it! Jessica is struggling to keep her bakery going while raising her daughter. The shop needs a repair and no contractors are available. Being a small town, a handyman working in the area was recommended, but they got on the wrong foot when he was late. Ryan is just about ready to move on again and Jessica won’t ask him to stay. A sweet story of a second chance in a beautiful small town.

New Year's Eve at Serendipity Springs is a great story about Jessica a Widow and Bakery Owner and her daughter Chloe. The Bakery had a leak in the roof and she gets a Contractor Ryan Jackson to fix it. Jessica has built a wall of protection around her and Chloe. Ryan has a complicated past and is finding it hard with relationship. They begin to get to know each other. But can the relationship develop and both of them take a chance with their hearts?

If you love a good Hallmark movie, try this book. I love that it is focused around New Year’s, making it unique. It was sweet and a bit of an insta-love but felt right for the holidays. I enjoyed watching the characters grow and learn from mistakes.

This was a good read and I will probably read it again sometime. The only issue I had was that some sentences were missing words, so they didn't make sense until I added the word myself when reading. Other then that it is a good read and I will gladly recommend it to my friends.

This was an excellent story about finding love the second time around. The positive small town vibe really comes through as Jessica and Ryan try to overcome their past and begin a new life together. The support of their friend from the community plays a big role in the outcome. Another great story from Ella Score. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher.

Wonderful love story. A widow and a man running from himself share a beautiful holiday romance. But fear is stronger. Ryan leaves without looking back and Jessica tries to resume her life without him. Chloe is a great teen that gets caught up in their relationship. I absolutely loved the Twilight Plunge.

New Year’s Eve in Serendipity Springs sounds just as magical as Christmas in Serendipity Springs. Another great story about second chances and taking the leap you deserve. Fear can get in the way of what you want; Jessica and Ryan both experience this. Both learn slowly that they do deserve happiness regardless of their past and the loss and hurt they have endured.
