This is a book for you if you like a dark spicy fantasy with mystery in an academy setting.
its also for you, if you would enjoy a spicy scene on a demon alter while people surround them...
"ready to be mine, little starlight"
This book had me hooked from the beginning when we get introduced to our mystery man. Just like the fmc I was trying to figure out who he is, and if he was a good guy or a bad guy. And also trying to figure out if we can trust him.
The tension and the connection between the fmc and mmc was so strong, I ate it up.

I need the next one asap.. it cannot leave off on that type of cliff hanger 😭😭 I’m obsessed with X & im hoping they’re lik mates or some shit, that helps him find all his pieces again. Our girl aurora is such a bad ass.

Omg I am screaming. Don’t worry — that’s a good thing. I received Devourer of Light for free as an ARC in order to provide a review. I LOVED IT.
For fans of dark academia, dark romance, elemental magic, and touch her and die kind of spicy tropes, Devourer of Light is not to be missed.
When Aurora, a half-elf, joins a school to be trained as a war mage, she must participate in a “sorting” ritual where it is determined under which elemental house she will study. Is she an aeromancer, geomancer, hydromancer, or pyromancer? Wrong - she is something else. Turns out, she’s a badass who can play with all the magics and then some. BUT - untrained, she can’t control her power. To save her life when a spell goes wrong, she binds herself to a super sexy demonish dude who sort of lives in her head but can manifest in person too, and manifest he does because WHEW if this book isn’t spicy AF. She learns that something sinister is going on at the school, and she and her demon companion might be the only ones who can help.
With a cliffhanger that will punch you right in the teeth, this book is sure to leave you desperate for book two. Join the club.
