Samara Damalas is an assassin with the Order of Odin, and uses her skills as a succubus to enthral and kill her targets. One touch and any man is hers to control. Until she tries to recruit a werewolf for a mission to stop the production of a deadly virus which turns werewolves into feral killing machines. Her hand on his skin does nothing but ignite a passion in her that tests the limits of her control.
Eric Johnson has spent six long years cutting himself off from anyone who could touch his heart. He is forced to leave his solitary life behind when his twin brother goes missing. And he suspects that the beautiful and deadly Samara knows more about that than she is letting on. He agrees to the mission so he can learn more about what happened to his brother, but vows to resist the attraction she stirs within him.
Now Eric and Samara must out run those who seek to stop their mission and end their lives, while protecting their hearts from the love threatening to consume them both.

Great story! Likable characters, plenty of action going on and a super cute romance too.
Eric and Samara made a great couple and I loved all the secondary characters as well specially Nick and Hadria who are the main characters in the second book as it turns out. I was happy that the author threw a twist in there and I am hoping that this character gets his story told since I feel a bit sad for him.
Definitely recommend for a great paranormal romance read with plenty of action to keep you entertained.

I started the book feeling it was a little to raw for me. I felt uncomfortable with the way Leanne, a one-eyed veteran, thought and behaved toward others, and likewise her Walter Reed Hospital roommate, Marci, left with only one leg. However, the rough anger was understandable considering what each had endured. Marci died in the hospital and Leanne walked out of the hospital, bought a car and headed -- anywhere. She eventually ended up in Marci's home town where she involved herself in searching for Marci's daughter who had disappeared the night after her mom's funeral.
After getting involved with Marci's ex-husband she contemplated settling down with him and the daughter, but it wasn't in her to do that, so she just drove off . . .

I found this to be a compelling book!

Wow what a read!

I seriously could not put this book down. I do have to say you have to ignore the typos. There's not so many that it disrupts the flow. But this book is amazing. I actually cried with this one and I don't normally do that. This book pulls you in slowly and gains with suspense. The characters great. You want to hate Eric but you begin to love him. And Samera is just bad ass and lovable wrapped up into one package. I highly recommend this book📚

Wow! Another new author for me and I loved this book! Both Eric and Samara have gone through so much and both deserve a better life. Especially Samara and she's definitely not what you think she is at first glance. Eric isn't quite the jerk, either. He does have some blinders on, though. I'm definitely reading the next books in the series and adding this book to my keeper shelf.

Dark Assassin

I knew Alex was up to no good once he revealed himself to Samara. Eric should have trusted his instincts and not trusted him. I knew Samara would end up pregnant. One because she is Eric's mate and two because she was now half wolf.

This is my first book from Dena Christy, and it was a rally grate read. The Story starts when a hired assassin had to put down the wolf, which went rough. But the heart of the story is when this same sexy assassin has to get involved with brother of that rough wolf...and here the show starts :)
Sex scenes are hot, steamy...it was very good reading...and than God it was standalone, there was no cliffhangers. When i was reading, and when all hell broke, i was like...pleas dont let it end here...i hate cliffhanger.

All who likes shifters, sex, action, and not too short story should read this :)

It was OK

The premise was interesting, the heroine less kick-ass than I would have liked, and the hero just plain grumpy. There are some editorial glitches throughout, not a lot, but enough that they made me cringe when encountered (e.g., whiles instead of wiles). The writing is decent, but not enough to really grab my attention.

In short, this was a story to while away a lazy afternoon, but not one to keep me up late to finish reading it.

I am not sure why there were so many bad reviews. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend to others. There may have been a small amount of grammatical errors but nothing to ruin the book. I really enjoyed the characters and the way the meshed together. The story line was great as well. I almost felt it could have even been longer because I didn't want it to end, lol. Definitely don't let the crappy reviews get to you. The book was really great!

Interesting Read

Plenty of things going on in this book. Romance, mystery and your normal everyday paranormal stuff lol. Team an angry werewolf with a half human/half succubus and watch the sparks fly.

Aaaaawwwwwwsssssooommme

This book was so awesome and predictable at the same time but it was awesome. I would definitely recommend this book for its details of the way of the werewolf. Dena Christy is definitely my new favorite author in the universe.

This was a good read. Wasn't perfect and I rolled my eyes sometimes because it was over the top but for the most part I quite enjoyed it.

Yep

Nice story ,love the idea of hybrids since they are a natural progression since stagnation and great story telling contradict each other.
