Learning to forgive and love, even yourself, is a marathon, not a sprint.

Isabel Ashford has everything going for her. Dream job, loving family, beautiful house. But she’s been sitting on the sidelines, watching everyone around her find love. The only man she’s ever truly pictured herself with was her brother’s best friend—now ex-best friend. And when that man comes back into her life, asking for a huge favour, is she strong enough to resist? Definitely not. But that doesn’t mean she’s going to take it easy on him, what fun would that be?

Caleb Sharpe is constantly running from his problems—problems he likely caused. Four years of being completely alone have caught up with him, and something needs to change. He wants to make amends but has no idea where to start. There might be one person left in his life he can turn to, but he has to decide how far he’s willing to go to earn her help. And will it even be enough?

Healing and humour combine in this flirty, steamy, emotional romantic comedy. Isn’t life easier with someone cheering you on from the sidelines?

This is my FAV of this series. I flew through it as well, there was no lagging or side storyline I wasn’t interested in. There is a third act breakup but it helps the story and you’re not necessarily shocked by it. I usually hate them but I was just rooting for them the whole time they couldn’t not figure their shit out. And it’s fake dating and forced proximity?! Have to pretend to share a bed at one point? EE!
I truly have no clue how she was able to redeem Caleb so well. Literally the first chapter you see the race from Caleb’s eyes and he is a straight up asshole. You already have this opinion of him anyways but he’s a straight shithead. And then the whole story you see his redeeming qualities. And how hard he works on himself. And how much he loves Isabel and Stella and Adam. His drawing?? Him repeating that he’s safe when he’s alone? SOBBING. God that was good. I don’t know much about EMDR therapy but you get such an in depth view into his therapy sessions. I loved seeing how much they work on in these. I loved his psychiatrist Shane. She didn’t take any shit but she was so welcoming and understanding.
Isabel is also such a strong female character. Badass and smart and stands her ground. I love her Elle Woods reference and loving how she interacts with that difficult lawyer in the opening scenes. I like that we see her struggles as well despite that we are mainly focused on Caleb’s storyline. But I loved seeing her work ethic and dynamics, we see her struggle with her difficult menstruations that lead to a fun spicy scene 👀
The only thing missing I feel like was maybe more look into Caleb’s work life? We saw a lot of Isabel’s and how she uses Caleb as an expert witness but considering we see so much of his marathon training with the dog and like his busy schedule you don’t get any insight into his actual job. Maybe I just wanted hospital drama? Who knows.
Also Caleb’s relationship with his mom?! UGH. So Self centred. But I love Maggie. The found family with all the Ashfords.
THIS WAS PERFECTION! And I also loved all the running signs. Hilarious. Loved.

Not sure how Sara Clement took the as*hole character from book one and made him a great character in book three. But she did. And she did it well.

I have so much to say about this book. I'm not sure I can even do it well. 🙈

Isabel is steadfast and strong throughout. She sees someone in need, who can be helped but doesn't do the work for him. Instead, she stands by in the most supportive way while that person does some of the most difficult work they've ever had to do. She's all sorts of awesome.

Caleb. I can't even with his character development. That first chapter hurt. We really did see why Adam kept his distance from Caleb's book one shenanigans. But man alive does he do the work to heal. The redemption storyline in the book is perfection.

This book made me feel feels. Caleb had reasons for his behaviours and although not great, totally understandable, justifiable once we get to the causes. And I was gutted (with mixed feelings) to see lines from a character in his life that I'd actually heard from a real life person in my own. Insane! (Keeping this vague so that spoilers are not spoilering so it likely makes no sense).

As this was an ARC, I reached out to the author to say that she nailed that tricky character from my life in the book, but I was equally as devastated that other people had that same experience to be able to do that. This book is going to give lots of people space to feel seen, I think.

'Sidelines' could be read as a stand alone but I really recommend enjoying the series as a whole. Sara has put so much into this whole series, each book brought something different for me: book one was fun, book two really encouraged me to run (no joke, I'm in my running stuff right now and planning to do a wee 5k this morning), and book three is all about healing, redemption, love, and family.

I loved how this book closed on the series, it was perfect!

Thank you to the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The third book in the series is just as good as the first two. Focused on a love of running, becoming your authentic self will also falling in love and this time, the benefits of therapy!

Isabel Ashford has it all professionally, but has no romantic prospects. The only person she has ever had serious feelings for is her brother’s ex-best friend, Caleb. Committed to helping them repair their friendship, they agree to fake date IF Caleb agrees to go to therapy to work through the issues that caused the break in his friendship with Adam.

Personal growth, tackling big emotional issues, childhood trauma, found family - this book has it all. PLUS it’s the perfect amount & kind of steamy in all the best ways. This book was a joy to read and it’s always fun to get updates on past characters and see them again in later books in a series. Definitely check this one out if you like spicy romcoms with deeper undertones.

Thank you to Sara for an ARC of the 3rd book of her series!

I don’t like to pick favorites, but I think this one may be hitting the top. What a joy it is to hang out with the Ashfords again! The mental health journey in this was beautiful and realistic and such a roller coaster. I didn’t believe that Sara could make me love Caleb, but here I am completely understanding Isabel’s obsession with him. No notes needed - not a runner but this series that started with an ultramarathon has me in a chokehold! Thank you for allowing me to ARC read all of your books!!

The third and final book in the Run, Love, Repeat series dives deep into Caleb’s backstory. We get to see him face the possibility of mending his lifelong friendship with Adam — a bond completely shattered in book one. The one person who might be able to bridge that gap is Isabel, Adam’s sister, who has a heart of gold and believes everyone deserves a second chance. But the question hangs over every chapter: Does Caleb have the space within himself for redemption?
💛 My Thoughts:
• Chapter 28 — absolutely stunning. Hit close to home and resonated with me.
• Chapter 38 — prepare your heart 💔❤️‍🩹
• A beautiful reminder that you have to heal yourself to love yourself… and to finally break the cycle of “hurt people hurt people.”
• Fake dating + close proximity = perfection 🫶
• And truly the best found family I’ve come across in any romance series!

Such a great series set in Canadian cities which I love from Canadian authors.

Thank you Sara for an ARC of this book!

I’ve been absolutely obsessed with this series! I went into this book a little skeptical after what Caleb did in the first book. After hearing his story it’s impossible not to fall in love with him. The portrayal of mental health and EMDR was so well done. You truly felt like you were healing alongside Caleb. I laughed, I cried & the ending of the series was done perfectly!

"Love is not a spectator sport"

I'll Be on the Sidelines is the third book in the Love, Run, Repeat series. We follow Caleb, who we met (and was the villain) in the first book. This is his redemption story.

Caleb is determined to fix things with his former best friend Adam, so he makes a pact with Adam’s sister, Isabel, to fake a relationship, forcing Adam to finally face him.

However, Isabel has one condition: Caleb needs to go to therapy once a week to prove he is genuinely trying to change.

Oh how I love a broken boy and Caleb is the very definition of one 🥹 as much as it was incredibly frustrating at times, I feel like Caleb's healing journey was so realistic and believable.
I also really loved Isabel and how she treated Caleb. She was the perfect amount of confident, strong but also vulnerable.

I was not expecting to cry, let alone sob to the point of not seeing the words on the page. Maybe I'm the one who needs therapy? 😅

I loved the romance just as much as Caleb's character development. Also the found family feel in this book was so much more present and I absolutely loved it.

Thank you so much to the author for an ARC of this book!

When I first heard that Caleb was getting a redemption arc, I wasn’t sure how to feel. He’d been such a convincing villain; mean-spirited, closed off, and seemingly beyond saving. Then along comes Isabel: fierce, grounded, and completely unwilling to be fooled by Caleb’s façade (and not just because she’s always had a soft spot for her brother’s best friend… well, EX best friend after book one).

Sara crafts Caleb’s story with incredible depth, weaving in his childhood trauma, his mother’s narcissism behaviour with a whole dose of her victim mind set, and his haunting memories of abuse that shaped who he became. By the end, I just wanted to wrap him in the biggest hug because he finally understood he deserved love. And this mother of his? Let’s just say I wanted to kick her straight in the shins! Sara wrote her THAT realistically, and I despised every moment of her cruelty.

This book was raw, heartfelt, and beautifully executed. Huge hugs to Caleb, massive high-fives to Isabel the true hero of the story and a bonus love for Stella!

What a fabulous conclusion to this series! 🙌

I've been waiting for Caleb's redemption arc since the first book in this series, and Sara Clement didn't disappoint!

I first discovered this series as Sara was releasing the second book. A romance book that revolved around running? Count me in! I wasn't disappointed. Sara writes great, swoon-worthy romances AND she actually understands running.

The best thing about this book is that Caleb actually earns his redemption. He isn't easily forgiven. He actually has to put in the hard work, and the reader is shown not told, what this work is. Healing isn't linear, and Caleb's story proves it. I loved the way Isabel stood by him, and supported him through his healing. There are definitely some heavy subjects, but they're mixed with just the right amount of fun banter and swoony romance.

A big thank you to the author for the ARC.

I’m still emotional because I’ll Be on the Sidelines was exactly the book I didn’t know I needed. It’s the emotional, heartfelt, beautifully full-circle finale this series deserved.

I didn’t think anything could top how much I loved Book 1, but this one comes so close it hurts.

I didn’t even want Caleb’s story at first, but this perspective and Sara’s writing are absolute magic, and now I’m so glad we got it.

Isabel and Caleb’s journey had me laughing, crying, and rooting for their healing every step of the way. I devoured it and felt everything.

The PERFECT ending to a series I adore.

Thank you so much Sara for allowing me to be an ARC reader ❤️

Thank you to Sara Clement for the EBook ARC!!

I'll Be on the Sidelines is the perfect ending to the Run, Love, Repeat series. Five ⭐ without a doubt! Following Isabel and Caleb, we see Caleb strive for Adam's forgiveness. This book masterfully delves into the depths of therapy and exploring the roller coaster of healing from childhood trauma. Sara does a fantastic job of showing how endurance sports, like running, can aid in healing. From fake dating to brother's (ex) best friend, this book also has the perfect tropes and amount of spice! I hate to see the series end, but I love how wonderfully it was wrapped up with the multiple POV epilogues.

Easily my favorite book in the series. I didn’t think Sara Clement could POSSIBLY make me change my mind about Caleb but…

This was everything I needed and more in a romance. Fake dating? Check
Redemption arc? Check
Dual POV? Check
Found family? Check
Spiceeeee? Check

While I’m so sad it’s over, but this was the PERFECT conclusion for the Run, Love, Repeat series and dare I say Isabel may be my favorite FMC?

I really enjoyed this book and found myself sharing meaningful and funny tidbits with my partner. There are so many things I loved about this read that I can’t quite name but - all the feels!? Vibes!? Great spicy scenes that felt realistic, great chemistry between the couple and I appreciate the “reality” of their work life balance (or lack thereof). The running signs were really great and I hope to use a few for my partners races in the future! All credit to Sara’s fun writing of course!

🙅Brother’s best friend
📋Mental health representation

What a finish to the Run, Love, Repeat series. I didn’t think I could love a story as much as Paige and Adam’s but this one gets right up there. The third installment follows Adam’s younger sister Isabel and his childhood and now former best friend Caleb.
Caleb is desperate to repair his friendship with Adam (read See You at the Finish Line for more details about this!) and enlists Isabel’s help. She agrees to pretend to be his girlfriend on one condition- that he goes to therapy.
I don’t know what it says about me that I just love a reformed asshole story, but this one has a particularly powerful arc and reminds us that healing isn’t linear. The race signs at the beginning of chapters were a fun touch and brought levity to some heavy topics. A few made me genuinely laugh out loud! Isabel and Caleb are so much fun and I devoured this book in two days.

Verdict: Two thumbs up! If you are a runner, this is a must read! And even if you aren’t a runner but just enjoy great banter add to your TBR! Fans of Liz Tomforde’s Windy City series will love this one!

I don’t even know where to start, but just… WOW. This book made me go through ALL of the feels. I literally went from crying to laughing to swooning to fanning myself all throughout the book. The rest of my review will contain a bit of spoilers, but if you want to know whether you should read this book? The answer is YOU HAVE TO. This was genuinely one of the best books I’ve ever read. Sara Clement’s writing is so great and she really understands how to balance the good, the bad and the steamy.

Also chapter 28?? Wow 🥵🥵🥵🔥🔥📱

**SPOILERS BELOW**

Isabel is my favourite type of FMC. She’s a fierce and confident high achieving woman who fights back the blonde-girl stereotype and male chauvinist agenda often found in the legal field with one set of sexy lingerie at a time.

“The click of my heels across the hardwood floor is like applause for my flawlessly executed plan. I hope it sounds like a death march to my opponent” - Page 24, Isabel

Caleb is such a sweetheart who has clearly been through a lot of neglect and emotional abuse in his childhood. He definitely became enemy number 1 through his actions in previous books, but getting to see where his behaviour stems from was so special. He is the true embodiment of hurt people hurt people. His journey through therapy and healing was beautiful and made me cry on several occasions.

“A true apology is not only a way to repair something that’s broken - it also strengthens and fortifies relationships because when someone acknowledges hurt they’ve caused, it shows that they care about our wellbeing” - Page 122, Dr. Shane Jihad

Caleb and Isabel’s love story is so magical, because its not just some asshole jock who suddenly realises the perfect woman is the solution to all his problems (as is quite often the case in smutty books) but he actually does the hard work of going to therapy and working on all of those ugly scars so he can heal and allow himself to love her the way he so clearly wants to but just never knew how.

Side note: OMG his mother is SUCH a bitch and I don’t blame him for struggling so much with what love really is if that’s all he’s ever been given.

Seeing all of the signs Isabel makes for him at the beginning of the chapters is such a cute detail. Knowing how much it means to Caleb to finally have someone that supports him at his races/for his runs was just making my heart squeeze in the best way. I’ve definitely noted down some of the sign ideas to use for my own runner boyfriend ☺️

Thank you for letting me read and review this book Sara, this was my first ever ARC and I’m so honoured. Especially getting to do this for one my absolute favourite authors ❤️ can’t wait to read your next book!!! Also ps, please can we get a book for Mateo? 🙏🏼🥹

***I received this ebook as an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review (thank you!)***

I was really looking forward to this book having really enjoyed the first two in the series, and lemme tell you - it did not disappoint. While I definitely raised an eyebrow when I first read that Caleb was the MMC, his beautifully written and realistic character growth, setbacks, self-acceptance, and therapy journey absolutely redeemed him in my eyes.

Isabel is the friend we all need - strong, supportive, confident, and a complete bad-ass. While it took me a few chapters to get behind her decision to help Caleb (likely due to personally having dated a 'Caleb' in the past), his acknowledgment of the situation and dedication to self-improvement quickly had me rooting for him, and for them as a couple.

While this is a standalone book, I recommend reading the series in order (at least book 1, See You at the Finish Line) since a major event in SYATFL leads to this book.

Thank you to the author Sara Clement!! What a treat it’s been to read a series were running features so prominently, and in such a relatable way. And as a native French speaker, I appreciate the extra care taken in having accurate French on the page :)

Honorable mention to Maggie as best supporting character, she needs her own book… or at least short story!

I was selected to be on the ARC team for this book. I LOVE the Run, Love, Repeat series. I was looking forward to Caleb's story after meeting his character in Book One (Adam and Paige's story.) I enjoyed getting to know Caleb's family history and cheered on his progress in therapy. The chemistry and slow burn between Caleb and Isabel is fantastic. The banter between them made me laugh out loud in many spots. Isabel's race signs are the best! I really loved how the the final epilogue updates us on the family members. Run to your local bookstore to pick up a copy when this hits the shelves!

I will admit that I was uncertain about reading a book about a pretty awful character introduced in book 1 of this series: See You At The Finish Line. The prologue and 1st chapter of this book only solidified that for me, but the growth of Caleb through this book was incredible. Reading about his realistic, non linear growth through therapy made me tear up more than once, but the heaviness was offset really well by his relationship with Isabel. I loved her strength and humor, her running signs and her unwavering support of Caleb. Definitely a must-read, and a super satisfying conclusion to the series! Thank you to the author for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Stellar Ending to the Run, Love, Repeat Series

I’ve already read this twice! When I started this journey, way back at Book 1, I did not like Caleb. Neither as a person nor as a runner. Where is your integrity, man?? I honestly couldn’t imagine how Sara was going to pull off a redemption arc. But wow… she did. The way she reframed him and walked us through his growth was incredible. I am officially Team Caleb.

This book gave me full-on laugh-out-loud moments and a few that absolutely gutted me. Being along for Caleb’s journey - his insecurities, therapy, EMDR and all, made him so much more human. Being no stranger to therapy myself, I loved seeing those pieces handled with care. More than once, I wanted to reach into the book and give the guy a hug.

Bel is awesome. Strong, self-aware, knows her worth. I loved her comparisons to Elle Woods, and wow the book started off strong with some great laughs because of this. I also appreciated that she also mentioned going to therapy – to me, it showed that yeah, no matter how strong we might be, we all have issues we need to work through, and that’s OK. The only thing that I wasn’t a big fan of were *some* of the clauses she put in the contract, but that was so minor it didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story. Also, who rents a car in Toronto?? However, she can do no wrong. One word: Stella.

I picked up the first book because I love romance and I love running. How could it go wrong? I’m so glad I found this author; reading these three books, getting to know all these characters, has been a wild ride. Do you have to read the first two books prior to this one? You will definitely get so much more out of I’ll Be On The Sidelines if you do.

As a side note, I have already asked my Mr to up his sideline game for my upcoming race season. I need to see some Bel-level dedication out there!

Honest ARC review 😊

I like many others hated Caleb the first two books because well he was an asshole. Even at the beginning of the book same feeling I couldn’t stand him and it was hard in contrast to Iz’s sunshine.

I think it is very important to read the other two books before you read this one even also get previews of Iz’s character. We get a lot of insight into her in the first two books and the third book solidified her loyalty and care to those she loves.

Now this is Caleb’s book through and through. Yes it’s about Iz and him but truly it’s his redemption ARC and his entire journey. The therapy and recovery in this book was very emotional but done so well. This went well beyond finding out he was fucked up and having the FMC just accept it. Him going way beyond fixing his relationship with Adam.

I cant believe I am saying this but from an emotional depth perspective this was the best book hands down. Sara’s take on mental health and therapy was so well executed. Caleb breaking down to the core and healing himself and showing how it’s not linear and the work that is required day after day 👏🏼

Iz and Caleb were a couple that you may not get all these green flags and overall sweetness because there is so much hurt and healing needed. But in real life you won’t have that either. You have to show up and also pay for your actions.

I loved this whole series. I enjoyed the couples journeys. I also started running because of this series like others. I have taken parts of their journeys and reflected on my own life because of it. Truly will miss this bunch but it was well wrapped up in the end.

This was easily my favorite book in the Run, Love, Repeat series — and honestly, Sara Clement continues to be an auto-read author for me.

I flew through this one and was completely invested the entire time. The emotional depth, the character growth, the healing — it all just hit. Sara has such a way of writing flawed, human characters and letting them work through their mess in a way that feels real and earned.

Caleb surprised me so much. He’s rough around the edges at first, but watching his growth, his therapy journey, and how intentional he is about doing the work made his arc incredibly satisfying. I loved getting such a deep look into his healing and vulnerability — it made everything feel so meaningful.

Isabel was such a strong, easy-to-root-for female lead. She’s smart, independent, and stands her ground, but she’s also allowed to struggle. I loved seeing her work life, her strength, and the way she shows up for herself while still being part of Caleb’s journey.

The chemistry between them was so good. Add in running moments that actually matter, meaningful conversations, and just the right amount of humor, and this book completely had my heart.

Sara Clement never misses for me. Her stories always feel heartfelt, comforting, and full of growth — and this one was no exception. I already know I’ll be thinking about it for a long time.

How am I supposed to write a review for this right now!?
10/10! No notes.

This story was amazing. This whole series was amazing.

Sara writes about mental health and the character's struggles really well! It's realistic and touching.

I loved Caleb's redemption arc! I have to say, I truly did hate him until this book. Reading from his perspective was eye-opening. "Hurt people hurt people." I felt for him! The therapy sessions were really interesting to read. I enjoyed them, as sad as they were sometimes.

There are some triggering topics (I knew what I was getting into, but it still hit hard). I have a new most hated character (f#ck you, Cheryl!)

Isabel is probably my favourite character in this whole series. She's a badass queen with a heart of gold. Her signs always made me laugh!

The Ashford's are family goals! Maggie is mom goals. I always love a good found family trope.

We get to meet a new book doggy! Stella is a sweet angel. I always love when dogs play a part in the story.

The fact that there's an epilogue for the entire series at the end is just🤌🏻🤌🏻 amazing. It was perfect! Everything was wrapped up so well and just made me happy.

I had the absolute pleasure of getting to read the ARCs for all three books in this series. Thank you, Sara! (Please let me read all your ARCs forever and ever)

TLDR: everyone needs to read this book, but you also have to read the two books before this. Just read the whole series right now. You won't be disappointed!

I’ve loved this series so much. I’m a little biased because it inspired me to run a 10k while in Vegas for my sister’s bachelorette.

Pros:
-I loved the Gif commentary in chapter 6. Not sure if other readers will understand all of them if you’re not into Gif trends but I thought they were hilarious.

- In Chapter 22, I loved the ChapStick system and thought it was hilarious. I also have a system and hate when it gets messed up.

-The therapy sessions when he goes back to his younger self had me bawling like a baby. Ugh!

Cons:
- In Chapter 40 when Caleb is standing behind the tree, I realized I didn’t know anything about the setting of the wedding. Was it outside? Where was this located? What time of year is it? Are they hot or cold? What’s the weather like? I would have loved some context about the setting of the wedding in chapter 40 instead of finding out after the fact in chapter 41. Also, how Caleb was hiding behind a tree the whole time without being noticed by anyone. Was the tree behind the guests or near a building? Was he dressed up for the wedding to blend in? I have so many unanswered questions about this scene.

-Them having a hardcore make out session right after him running a whole marathon made me actually cringe. I’m a runner and know I STANK after running any race. I could not imagine having a make out session after running and being stink, sore and tired.

I’ll Be On The Sidelines in the third and final book in the Run, Love, Repeat Series. This book focuses on Isabel and Caleb.

We first met Caleb in book one where he is kind of a**hole. He is responsible for Adam and Paige getting disqualified from the Moab Ultra. After the race, Adam and Caleb get into an argument and haven’t talked since. Isabel is Adam’s youngest sister and a badass lawyer. She has a soft spot for Caleb.

This story gives Caleb the redemption arc he desperately needs. Caleb and Isabel enter into a fake relationship in order to help Caleb get back in the good graces of Adam. Isabel draws up an elaborate contract and demands that Caleb go to therapy to work through his issues.

I loved watching Caleb grow and work through his childhood trauma. It was so nice to see him lean on Isabel for support and vice versa. The two really are the perfect pair. They compliment each other so perfectly and fit together each other’s lives.

On a side note, I have never wanted to slap a character more than I did Caleb’s mom. No wonder Caleb has so much trauma related to his childhood.

I am so sad this series is over, but I can’t wait to see what’s next.

I had such high hopes, but… wow.

I picked up I’ll Be on the Sidelines hoping for some fresh inspiration for cheering signs to use at races. Let’s just say: they’re a bit too spicy to wave around while standing at the course with my kids. But honestly? That’s the only thing this book didn’t deliver for me.

Because everything else absolutely knocked me out.

Seriously—how does Sara Clement do it? She takes a guy we all genuinely learned to hate and cracks him open so vulnerably that you suddenly want to wrap him in a blanket and tell him it’s going to be okay. The therapy scenes? Brutally real. That kind of emotional split you feel in your chest. And the relationship arc… I could talk about it for hours, but I won't, because it deserves to hit you unspoiled.

This is the perfect read for cozy evenings, for runners, and for every cheering squad out there. Sara’s characters are always vivid, layered, painfully authentic—and this book is no exception. I’ve been lucky enough to read all three as an ARC reader, and waiting for part three nearly drove me mad.

And as a non-native speaker: zero issues. Sara’s flow is smooth, natural, addictive—not just story-wise, but sentence-wise.

Five stars. And a big, loud thank you.

I’ll Be on the Sidelines blends humor, heart, and emotional depth into a romance that feels refreshingly sincere.
Isabel Ashford is one of those characters who quietly stays with you. On paper, she has everything sorted: a career she loves, a close-knit family, and a perfectly put-together life. Caleb Sharpe’s return shakes that steady routine in the best possible way. Once her brother’s best friend, now a man weighed down by the fallout of his past choices, he steps back into Isabel’s world asking for help he’s not sure he deserves. His healing journey is one of the most compelling parts of the book — messy, slow, and profoundly human.
The chemistry between Isabel and Caleb feels lived-in, full of history and tension, but also a tenderness that grows with every scene they share. Their dynamic is both comforting and electric, offering the kind of emotional payoff that romance readers crave.

I loved the whole series - there is not enough fiction for runners out there. But even non runners will enjoy the books (and maybe get some motivation 😉).

Getting a wrap up of the entire series at the end of book three was the cherry on top!

I'll Be on the Sidelines is the last in the Run, Love, Repeat trilogy and it ended on such a great note. Dr. Asshole, or Caleb as he is known in the book, has been not only angry at Adam for leaving him while running the Moab 240 but he's now alone. Adam was his best friend and practically his brother and now he has himself. He *could* get back into the family's good graces with the help of one person who doesn't quite hate him, Isabel. Now Isabel is a badass lawyer; she has the brains and she has the looks, but what she doesn't seem to have is what everyone else seems to have... love.

Caleb calls Isabel to see if they can fake date their way to help Adam and Caleb mend their friendship again... and because Isabel is a great lawyer she drafts up a contract that had me giggling SO HARD. Caleb has to follow the rules and one of them is to attend therapy.
The relationship that blossoms was outstanding, the healing that Caleb went through and the bond that happens with Stella (Isabel's dog!), Isabel's signs made this book top tier.
Reminded me of all the signs my mom made for me throughout the years when she would be at the finish line. I loved it

You know what I love? When an MMC goes to therapy. Even if his fake girlfriend makes it part of a love contract to win his best friend back. I have wanted Caleb to have a redemption arc since the first book. I felt like there was more to his story than the first book lead me to believe, I was not disappointed. I love when the MMC is open and willing to better himself through therapy (we could all benefit from a great therapist). I loved watching Isabel and Caleb fall truly in love through friendship first. Sometimes I feel like Brother’s Best Friend tropes are fast paced, but I felt like this one was perfectly timed!

Also, any character that can quote Legally Blonde and watches trash TV like it’s going out of style is an automatic *add to favorite* list. Isabel is strong, kind, passionate, and she takes no shit. She’s a woman who knows what she’s going to go after. Her mom, Maggie, has had me captivated since the second book when she took in Leah’s son like her own grandchild and if I don’t turn out to be a mom like Maggie- I’m doing life all wrong.

Wow!
I’ll be on the sidelines completes the Run,Love, Repeat series and our favourite villain that we have all come to love to hate is the main character of this story.

Does doctor asshole get redemption?
Do Paige and Adam ever speak to him again.

Well this contains spoilers so turn back now or read on at your own risk.

Isabelle the beautiful little Ashford sister is showcased in this last novel. We get to see there is more to her than her fashion sense, beauty and brains.
She has a heart of gold, I mean of course she does she is an Ashford after all.
And after pining away for Caleb for as long as she has she concocts a plan that will not only help Caleb to repair his relationship with Adam but lets her get close to him.

A yes the fake dating trope, it’s a classic for a reason and not only was it executed well but the best part was that no one believed it.

Do Caleb and Isabelle survive the fake dating trope? Can they turn it into a lasting relationship after all?

I laughed, I cried. I loved it.
