I expected this to have more political meat. It really is a romance story with a political background. It was a bit unrealistic in that this woman who had to have been intelligent and ambitious, accepted her husband's very bad behavior - even to the point of feeling sorry for him. It just seemed to me that a woman who had so much going for her, took that kind of relationship as being not so bad.

Oh. Why has this been on my shelf in a dark cupboard for 16 years!!! Absolutely fantastic didnt want it to end. A political romance, set in Westminster, a glamourous newly appointed lady Minister, married, embarks on an affair with journalist/editor/tv person......given who the author is it is very believable, credible and still bang on trend!! Well recommend

This is a very sensual novel, both physically and mentally. As a male reader it was good to see how the female brain works.
The book was un-putdownable despite being predictable. Both main characters had little though for how their actions would affect their children

I'm sorry but I only read about 3 or 4 chapters. It didn't grab my attention, just not for me.

Would recommend as light holiday read. Not too challenging, easy to read, mild suspense...enough to make it readable in two days.

A love story intertwined with an interesting, readable view of politics UK style. I will look for her next book.

Pretty basic read, presumably based on all the stories Michael brought home from his day job? The story was predictable and not really that interesting.
