Faking it with the Heir: An Enemies to Lovers Billionaire Romance

Rate this book
I was supposed to just play house with the rival ice queen.
Not to picture her lips where they don’t belong.

Isabella Moretti is cold. Brilliant. Untouchable.
The woman born to rule her family’s empire.

I’m the reckless Langston brother.
The one who never shows up on time, unless it’s for trouble.

So of course I end up bound to her.
A contract. A ring. Zero romance.
All to protect what our families built.

But between staged smiles and midnight battles, fake kisses start tasting like foreplay.
Her edges cut deep until she lets me touch the heat beneath the frost.
And against every rule, I fall. Hard. Fast. No brakes.

She unravels for me, piece by piece.
And for once, I’m not the brother who runs.
I’m the man who stays. The man who’ll fight like hell to keep her.

If her family uncovers the truth, it won’t just end our marriage.
It’ll ignite a war between our empires.
And I’ll lose the only woman I’ve ever loved.

Sasha Cross - you sly minx, you…you did it AGAIN 👏🔥
Aaaaand for the THIRD TIME I find myself emotionally spent/exhausted but smiling like a loon.🥴😅

“It's going to be torture. It's going to be fascinating.” (Ch 9)

I can’t help but borrow Luca’s words (Ch. 9) and use them to describe how this book affected my experience. There was SO much highlighted (using the Kindle app) that I need to petition for more highlighter colors for the future. (Or get a better, more concise organization method for said notes)

First things first
Let’s talk about “eh-Spicy-MeatBoll!” 🌶️🤭 (waaiiit was that offensive?? I was aiming for silly, Luca-level-charming. I’m sorryyy)
I cannot stress how perfect this book’s spice level hits. Cross expertly teases us with an absolutely perfectly-paced slow burn 🔥 🙌
The refusal to immediately/right away give us ANY spicy-spice -not even flashbacks!!- further drove home that Slow Burn tension between Luca and Isabella.

How interesting and also hilariously ironic the “player”brother marries his mirror opposite 😅

The expectations the characters place on themselves (as well as eachother……::woof::…
Isabella grew up with some heartbreakingly ingrained (for her) “truths.”
“The usual soundtrack of business being done without me, when I’m the rightful heir to this whole {GD } empire.” (Ch 2)
💔
Luca is such an instigator😅
The [Forced Proximity] doesn’t force him to act like a smug dill weed, but his instigator-tendency takes charge. I don’t doubt that, when the brothers were much younger, Luca was undoubtedly an annoying little weasel…
“Growing up, Ethan was handed the compass, Chase got the map, and I was told to sit tight in the backseat and not touch the controls.” (Ch 3)
I can easily recall memories (of me and my 2 older brothers) similar to this as well as scenarios adjacent. Soon I began thinking about the constant battle for their respect..😒

…until…🥁

I don’t know how she manages the timing SO spot-on, but whenever it seems I am making too many too-real connections, resulting in my unease rising, I’m blinded by my very own “thought intrusion,” and ultimately: I am no longer seeing Luca’s story (written by Sasha Cross)🫨
As if Cross knew what happened (to me);like,, because, its then that a character says or does something that “breaks the spell,” and 1. makes me laugh/cackle*, and 2. that unease/emotional-gut-punch-meter gets reset
Aaaaaaand I journey onwards and continue reading enthusiastically, and with a HUGE smile- knowing full well this cycle of turmoil cycle continue to happen. Indefinitely…

**This Isabella quote gave me a hearty laugh: “I half expected him to fan out feathers and start doing mating calls.” (Ch 2)

Luca’s story was all-kinds-of-wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed every word💚🙌

And here’s my final attempt at being charming…
Here goes nuthin!

Remember those older Herbal Essences commercials where women are suddenly so overcome with the scent of their shampoo, that they cannot help but close their eyes, smile, and shout (in blind ecstasy)“YES” over and over?

[Enemies to Lovers]? “YES”…[Fake Marriage]? “YES”…[Forced Proximity]? “OOHHH YYEEESSS”

Luca arrived at Napa valley after two months in Spain partying, his eldest brother Ethan sent him a massage where he is, when he told him that he’s in Napa he was angry at him because he was supposed to be in New York reviewing Singapore deal.
He went straight to his brother Chase to surprise him, he asked Chase why was he’s in Napa not with his family, he tells him that he ‘s working to try to negotiating a partnership with the Moretti , he tells him that he has a daughter, at that he wanted to hear more about her.
Isabella heard from her uncle secretary that the Langstons are coming to discuss some opportunities , she was angry because no one told her because she’ s the family pit bull and when important decisions are made she’s not allowed.
She went to her family offices building where the meeting is held , when she entered the Langston’s brother Chase woke up from the chair but Luca stayed seated instead of waking to handshakes her hand and winks at her.
Her uncle doesn’t wanted her in the meeting so after some time she went out , when she was waiting for the elevator, Luca went after her and tells her that her uncle is an idiot and all of the people of the room, and continue to say that you’re only one with the brain.
Luca tells his brothers that his going to invite for dinner Isabella and leave out her uncle so they can discuss business , the meeting was with the brothers and her , when Chase left she was going too but an idea came to her mind .

An amazing story that for sure it will be liked by readers.

I really enjoyed this book! Sasha Cross’s writing style flows so smoothly, making it an easy and engaging read.

I loved the main characters, Isabella and Luca. Their chemistry is strong and compelling. Isabella is a successful and independent woman, but beneath her composed and stoic exterior, she struggles with happiness and the constant need to prove herself. She’s always in control—yet doesn’t quite know how to simply be.

Luca, on the other hand, is her perfect contrast. He doesn’t take life too seriously and is seen as the family “fuck-up,” overshadowed by his golden brothers. Both Isabella and Luca are quietly searching for approval and acceptance from their families, and what they find in each other is exactly the support and understanding they’ve been missing.

As a couple, they’re genuinely cute, and Luca is absolutely lovely. I also adored the Langston family—especially the kids, who added such warmth and charm.

Overall, this was a quick, easy, and enjoyable read.

Thank you, Sasha, for the ARC — this is my honest review.

Sasha Cross delivers an intense and supremely satisfying romance, skillfully elevating the Fake Marriage trope.
The novel centers on the strategic, volatile union between Luca Langston and Isabella Moretti, forced together to prevent a family war. The tension is immediate, immense, and fueled by a brilliant slow burn pace.
Cross excels in character development: Luca, the underestimated rogue, and Isabella, the formidable heiress, are complex and compelling leads. Their dynamic utilizes Forced Proximity and an Enemies to Lovers foundation to create undeniable chemistry, built on sharp wit and emotional resistance.
The author balances the high-stakes conflict with perfectly timed humor, ensuring the emotional journey is both gripping and addictive. This is a sophisticated and thoroughly captivating read that promises a hard-earned and explosive payoff.
Highly recommended for those who crave complex characters and superior romantic tension.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "FAKING IT WITH THE HEIR" Whats suppose to be a fake marriage between Isabella Moretti & Luca Langston to prevent a war among their families empire.
Luca's not always dependable, he's often reckless unless his brother's are in trouble, he & Isabella try to make things look real but its hard with an ice queen as a fake wife.
Isabella is strong willed, smart & until she lets him in things start to change he having real feelings for her falling hard will she follow.
Will Isabella & Luca become more if their family knows the truth it could cause a disater between their families, he'll do anything to keep her, you don't want to miss this read I know you so won't be disaapointed.

Isabella and Luca are chalk and cheese. A fake relationship but the chemistry is real and strong. Isabella needs control, she may be independent and successful, but struggles with letting herself know to let go and be happy.
Luca doesn’t take life too seriously. His family don’t think he can’t be more than what they see. His brothers are the golden boys. When these two have to join up and to make a believe relationship neither of them thought the other would be the support for each other. Learning to trust and the chemistry between them is not fake.

Great characters and drama.

I really enjoyed this book and series. Luca and Isabella were cute together. Luca and all his taunting and pet names. Isabella and all her independence. They each had their own issues and baggage from their own families but together they are a power couple. I loved to see them finally come together.

This was a good read. It kept me engaged and wanting more. The characters developed well and became better over the story!

Check this out!

This was excellent. It’s both a fake relationship and billionaire romance all in one. Isabella and Luca were fire. I loved how they met and created a narrative to make their marriage on paper turn into something else entirely. There is a lot going on and I was there for every moment of it. This was the first book I’ve read from this author, but it definitely will not be the last. The cover art is pretty nice too. ;)

He’s Amazing! She’s Beautiful

This story has everything you could ask for. Both characters have a lot of character flaws but together they find their true selves. It takes them awhile to admit just how much they really want each other but the journey is definitely worth the read. Sasha Cross you gave us everything we needed! Hats off to you!

Luca Langston and Isabella Moretti are definitely one hot power couple. They have so much to prove not just to themselves as a whole or as a couple; but also to their families. This was an intense one. There so was so much at play with this one that I love how they just learned to trust themselves and learned a lot about themselves. Beautiful Story!

This is book three of the Langston Heirs. It was a sweet story that flowed quickly. This was Luca and Isabella's story. The main characters complimented each other. Luca grew up and stepped up. Isabella realized she didn't have to do everything on her own. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is the third book of the Langston Heirs. They are all standalones so you can start anywhere. The story was well written. The author did a great job with describing the details so that you could picture it easily without over describing. The story is funny, spicy, and will make you fall in love with this couple. The characters complement each other perfectly. A wonderful read. 4.5 stars
