Flour your nose and make baking bread look harder than it was!

I am getting my senior dad a bread machine for his birthday and checked out this book to see if it would make a good gift to go with it. The pictures are a little small (he doesn’t have the best eyesight!) but other than that I can’t imagine what more he would want.

It’s really well organized with tons of good intel about equipment, troubleshooting, pantry essentials etc. before you ever get to the recipes and there are plenty of them. From Beginner-Friendly Basics (white, whole wheat, sandwich bread) to more complex sourdough and marbled rye (who knew you could do this in a machine?) to an entire chapter on international favorites (focaccia, pumpernickel and even pita pockets). Pro tip: you can also do pizza dough, naan and pretzels.

The winter holidays are over but we have more coming up and I couldn’t help but notice two delicious ideas for Easter Hot Cross Buns and Carrot Bread.

All in all a nice book to keep open on the kitchen counter with a little flour sprinkled on your nose to make it look harder than it probably was!
