Step Right Up!It starts the way all good detours dusty highway, car trouble, and a small town with a Harvest Fair. A fun night with friends. Games that seem winnable for once. Sugary-sweet treats. What could go wrong?
When the sweet treats turn sour. The prizes pulse beneath the plush. The food tastes like something gone wrong. And somewhere behind the painted smiles, a calliope winds itself tighter, luring its next audience in.
By the time you catch on, the streets don’t lead out. It might already be too late to call it a night.
Step Right Up! is a desert-bright nightmare about guilt, grief, and the show that follows you home. If you hear the music, keep walking. If the mirror looks back, hold its gaze. The gates only swing one way.
I really enjoyed this novela and the eerie vibes. The descriptions were vivid and made me feel like I was there, together with the characters. The action unfolded smoothly and towards the end it reminded me a lot of the hopelesness you feel when you watch From (tv show) a great horror debut, I highly recommend!
