This was an entertaining book - in the way that B movies are entertaining. There's a decent story in here, but I absolutely hated the main character - she came across as an absolute ditzy idiot to me. The book also is a laughable hodgepodge of all sorts of fantasy elements. It jumped the shark so badly from a plot development perspective that you have to sort of suspend disbelief entirely and just run with it. Ghosts? Time travel? Flying motorcycles? Vampires? This one's got it all.
And for the record - no, I did not know that this was what I was picking up when I grabbed this book. A lot of Chinese books seem to be super-sparse on providing blurbs, so I truly am judging books primarily by their covers. There was nothing about this one that would have suggested what its contents would contain...
