What can you expect? - Vampires who like to share - Magic - Horror Elements - Pumpkin Monster - Guaranteed HEA - A hauntingly good time
A quick Halloween read with humans, vampires, Jack O’Lantern, werewolves, witches and other scary monsters!
Lydia, is on a trip with her girlfriends to a scare camp for a week. What they don’t expect is that the ‘scare actors’ are not all that they seem, O! They can scare alright but what lurks within is far more than she anticipated 🧛♂️🎃🧙🏻♀️She’s the one who starts out the scaredy cat only to become the one that learns the truth.
It’s a good Halloween read, a bit of their background and a smattering of intrigue, together with a whole lot of spice being MMFM 😈
Second book in the Nightmare Acres series, set in the same world as Hallows Fright, but can be read as a standalone.
Great short, fast-paced & spicy MMFM story with a girls trip in the woods, primal chase, pumpkin monster and vampires. Perfect for spooky season!
I really enjoyed this book. The idea of the scare camp was interesting. The FMC, Lydia was a really relatable character (I’m also a chicken when it comes to scary movies, pack a book with me everywhere and always have random bruises because I bump into things lol) and I really liked her as a character.
The MMCs were interesting and I loved getting a little glimpse into Jack’s past right at the beginning of the book. The storyline kept me hooked and I finished this book in one sitting. I really enjoyed the haunted feeling of the book. The ending was beautiful and it fit the story perfectly.
“Blood is blood. It doesn’t matter how I get it, as long as it hits my fangs, I don’t care much else about the details.” “May you survive the frights at Nightmare Acres, and if you don’t, then may your soul taste delicious.”” “She’s mine. She just doesn’t know it yet.” “You think you can use that hot mouth for something other than screaming?” “What’s the matter, little screamer? Catch some feelings for your one-night stand that you weren’t expecting?”
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
Lydia and her friends are on vacation at Nightmare Acres. They are attending “summer camp” with scare actors. Except they aren’t scare actors, they are real monsters.
She meets Maverick and Hendricks, vampire lovers, and Jack, the original owner of the land who turns into a Jack o lantern. When the witch who cursed Jack tries killing everybody, Lydia is turned into a vampire too.
The first book in the series was much darker, if I’m remembering correctly. This one was tame. Not much blood, guts or gore. One fight with werewolves. One fight with witches. One attack by a lake monster. And a bunch of sex, which was disappointing. There was no DP, which is a must with multiple partners. Especially when they are also partners! And there was no MM….
Also the book could use another edit. There are numerous grammatical errors.
This is book 2, but I believe you can read this book as a standalone. We have a group of friends coming to the nightmare acres for a week long halloween scream week of fun. What they don't know is that the people that live there are real monsters. We have the Australian couple and a frat boy who is × in the book. They got what came to them, and then some. We have lots of spice, witches, vampires, and more. We even get love and someone getting turn into a vampire. This is a cute halloween book!
This was a really great read, that once I started I could not put down. It grabbed me from the first page and did not let me go. It moves along at a really great pace making for an enjoyable and easy read. These characters are awesome and no matter what happens you want to see them overcome whatever may get in their way. This book needs to be on your TBR list, no doubt about it.
Can you say it getting out in here? Man, I want myself two vampires and man that shift into a pumpkin, and I want to go to Nightmare Acres to find me one, lol. I love this book as much as Hallows Fright. Even though these are different characters. I love all them, 😂 that bonus chapter had me melting over here 🫠🫠
Wow this book was absolutely freaking amazing!!! Maverick, Hendricks, Jack and Lydia did not disappoint their spicy, spooky adventure kept me immersed and I love every minute of this read. I loved seeing the characters from the prior book again and this was such an amazing concept it entertained me immensely.
I loved coming back to Nightmare Acres and all the ghouls that call it home. Book 2 def took you for a ride in the summertime x halloween vibes. the horror house was a summer camp for those who dare temp fate in the sun. Lidia and the Rick's hit it off pretty fast. but our sweet 🎃 Jack took the cake and sealed the quadruple deal. cant wait for more (maybe 👀) from this world!
Mmfm and spicy. Vampires-yes Jack-yes Besties on a scare trip. Lydia and her friends go on a scare trip. Scare actors( monsters ) She meets Maverick, Hendricks, And Jack. It’s spicy and really fun read.
I liked this! It's Lydia & her guys' story. She goes with her friends to a "scare camp", but none of them realize the "actors" are real monsters. This was the perfect Halloween novella! Loved the spice & the story! Recommend this book & author!
Had been impatiently awaiting this follow-up to Hallows Fright. It was well worth the wait and did not disappoint! Back to Nightmare Acres for spooky, Halloween based characters sand lots of spice. Lydia, our FMC is one lucky gal! 🥵🥵
This was a good short spooky read. I loved the whole setting of the book and the characters. I loved the why choose aspect with vampires and a man who turns into a pumpkin head. She really knows how to write a why choose
This was a quick, fun, spooky and spicy read. Maverick, Hendricks, Jack and Lydia are fun characters and make for a perfect spooky season read. I want to be able to visit Nightmare Acres. Now. 🖤
