Charge your batteries, grab a spare pair of underwear, a box of tissues, and pour yourself a tall glass of water—you’re going to need it after this one

This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. It’s a beautiful blend of passion, pain, and healing, wrapped in the kind of slow-burn chemistry that makes your heart race with added moments of humour for a completely balanced storyline.

Abigail and Grayson’s story is one of those rare romances that feels real, where love is messy, timing is cruel, and fate seems to enjoy toying with them. From their childhood friendship to the complicated tension of adulthood, every chapter had me completely hooked. You can feel their shared history in every word, every glance, every touch.

What I loved most is how this story captures the ache of second chances. That fragile balance between redemption and ruin. Grayson’s haunted past adds such emotional depth, and watching Abigail try to break through his walls was absolute perfection. There’s heartbreak, forgiveness, healing… and yes, some seriously scorching spice 🔥

It’s tender and raw in all the right ways, balancing emotional vulnerability with enough steam to fog up your screen.

The Depth of Gray is a beautifully written romance that masterfully blends friendship, heartbreak, healing, and passion into a deeply compelling story. Everleigh Aston creates an emotionally rich journey that captures the complexity of love, second chances, and the lasting impact of the past.

Abigail Henderson and Grayson Wright are wonderfully developed characters whose shared history adds depth and authenticity to every interaction. Their transition from longtime friends to something more feels natural and heartfelt, making it easy to become invested in their relationship from the very beginning.

What sets this novel apart is its emotional depth. Beyond the romance, the story explores themes of trust, personal struggles, forgiveness, and resilience. Grayson's battle with his past and the secrets that threaten his future add layers of tension and vulnerability that make the narrative both gripping and moving.

Everleigh Aston's writing is engaging and evocative, balancing tender moments, emotional conflict, and powerful chemistry with skill and sensitivity. The pacing keeps readers turning pages as the characters confront their fears and fight for the happiness they deserve.

The Depth of Gray is a captivating romance that delivers both emotional intensity and genuine heart. Fans of friends-to-lovers stories, second-chance romance, and character-driven relationships will find this book impossible to put down.

A memorable and rewarding read that lingers long after the final chapter.

holy shit….
I can’t believe I can’t read the depth of gray for the first time ever again. This books is a top 5 for me and everleigh has become my new favourite romance author. Firstly it caught my heart right for the start. The history between the two main characters is next level amazing! The story flows beautifully and I didn’t see the lead up to the ending coming but it sent me flying to the ending I had to finish it. The smutty parts are hot and beautiful written.
A fantastic romance novel.

Very enjoyable. A saucy little find indeed. I loved the way the book lets the reader experience the lusty push-pull dynamic between long-time friends Abigail and Grayson, and go on the journey from friends to lovers like they're in the room with them (a very steamy room or two, I might add). A very good first novel from Everleigh Aston, I look forward to more from this up and coming author! Bravo!
