Book Two in the Little Nightmares Duet

The monster she feared is the only one keeping her alive.
But the real nightmare hasn’t even started.

Raven is forced back into the chapel where it all began—
into the arms of the man who broke her, built her, and claimed her.

Damien doesn’t share.
Doesn’t forget.
Doesn’t forgive.

The build up within the pages 📖

Damien believes he can cage her, lock her in, chain her up but he fails to realise his protection can only hold her so long, the safety she feels is not that it is a bind that will tauten before it starts to loosen and then his obsession will either wither or decide its own fate. The shadows talking to her, become clearer an outsider trying to insist she remembers her past, her darkness, herself….

𝑀𝓎 𝒷𝑜𝒹𝓎 𝒾𝓈 𝓁𝑜𝒸𝓀𝑒𝒹 𝒾𝓃 𝒶 𝓈𝓉𝒾𝓁𝓁𝓃𝑒𝓈𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒾𝓈𝓃’𝓉 𝓅𝑒𝒶𝒸𝑒—𝒾𝓉’𝓈 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓅𝒶𝓇𝒶𝓁𝓎𝓈𝒾𝓈 𝑜𝒻 𝒶 𝓇𝒶𝒷𝒷𝒾𝓉 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓇𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒶𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒽𝒶𝓌𝓀.

The tension that you feel reading this, the building blocks laid to draw you in before you are pulled into the psychological aspect of this story is great. You feel Raven’s emotions, her loss of self worth, her submitting to Damien because it feels safe, but the packages, the text for them both lead them down a path, one Raven willing takes. I can’t tell you who I was rooting for the most, and the sense of loss at the end 🤯

Calia Quinn has officially clawed her way into my top 10 authors of all time. I adored Little Spider, but Little Scream? That one slithered under my skin and made a home there. The eerie repetition, the slow‑creeping dread, the way my stomach kept dropping the deeper I went - Calia wrote this to make you uncomfortable, and she succeeded with malicious precision.

The Little Nightmare Duet is not for the faint of heart. It’s for the girlies who like their fiction unsettling, their men unhinged, and their sanity hanging by a thread. I had so many questions, so many theories, so many “WHAT THE F$&@” moments, but I refuse to spoil a single thing. Just know: you will never be prepared. Damien is deranged in the most delicious, terrifying way, and I devoured every second like a problem.

We’re barely into 2026 and this is already my favorite read of the year. I’ll be tagging every creator I love because I need a whole support group of unwell readers to scream with me.

And Calia…my beloved nightmare queen…if special editions ever happen for The Little Nightmare Duet, please remember me. Signed? Foil? Sprayed edges? I will simply combust.

Hello again, my dark little sinners 🕷️🕯️
It’s almost time to scream.

You thought Little Spider was twisted? You thought Damien had already unraveled her? Oh baby, that was just the web.

In Little Scream, the game turns brutal. The shadows crawl closer. And the screams? They're not just for fun anymore.
They're the soundtrack of obsession.

This isn’t a love story. It’s a descent. A spiral into the kind of madness that doesn’t end in happily ever after—it ends in chains, blood, and a choice you were never meant to make.

Damien’s web was only the beginning.

Now?
It’s time to bleed.

Obey. Break. Or burn.

Either way… he’s still watching.
And this time, you’ll scream for him.

🖤 Calia

⚠️ Warning!!! Please check TW/CW!!! Depending on the type of books you read, you may find this darker romance, or you may feel it's pitch-black ⚠️

Book 2 of the Little Nightmare Duet.

Wow, I'm not sure what to say as my mind processes this story! It psychologically messes you and once you finish the book, you'll need time to think about it. Just when I thought I knew where it would go, it didn't go there at all. I still have so many questions, but that's supposed to be the way!

This book starts off where we left off in book 1. Damien is still just as obsessed and possessive of Raven and is taunting the other person, who is hiding in the shadows, trying to prove that he has her and will do whatever he wants with her. And that she is only his!

As the story continues, we are brought into an even deeper mystery as we are slowly shown pieces of their past, and I couldn't put it down as I needed to know what happened.

The chemistry is strong between the MC's, and the spicy scenes were def spicing 🥵!!

I feel like the book follows psychology and sociology. Yes, there is trauma, and it is a huge part of it, but I feel like the web spins much larger in terms of human nature. It's a wild ride. There was a section of the book that felt repetitive but I think it was designed that way. I strongly recommend you keep reading, it really is worth it in the end. It's heartbreaking, cathartic in spots and such an emotional rollercoaster that this story may never leave you.

There is a love-triangle feel, which I don't usually read, but I do like Calia Quinn and how she writes. I felt really bad, but again, it goes to show human nature and the paths we choose.

I enjoyed the book and am so glad I read it!! The story was interesting and kept me curious, and I loved the characters.

Story 4.75 ⭐
Spice 4.5 🌶️

Little Scream is the pitch black romance sequel to Little Spider and the completion of the Little Nightmare Duet.

As Calia Quinn very thoroughly explains in the warnings, this book is designed to make you uncomfortable. Raven and Damien have very traumatic pasts which bleed into every aspect of their lives.

As long as you are good with pitch black books with stalking, captivity, dubcon, repressed memories returning, and a very heavy dose of church related trauma, you may enjoy this book.

I personally feel that the ending is not as unresolved as the warnings suggested it would be. It felt like a very appropriate ending for the story.

Raven spent the last book clawing for air only to end up right back in the same suffocating chapel with a man who thinks stalking is a love language. The plot hinges on a blood-smeared message from the past that feels like it was written by someone trying too hard to be edgy. Damien still possesses the emotional depth of a puddle but manages to be twice as dangerous. Raven’s supposed evolution feels more like a circular walk back into the lion’s den. I appreciated that the author didn't try to redeem the irredeemable but the constant "I hate him but I want him" inner monologue started to grate by the halfway mark. It is bleak and the psychological manipulation is heavy enough to require a spotter. The ending delivers the promised destruction without offering the easy way out.

The audacity of the author to state that the repetition is on purpose for the sake of the book (when all their books are exactly the same. Repetition) is laughable.

“If you don’t like repetition that’s on purpose this isn’t for you.”

How incredibly condescending. If every one of their books wasn’t repetitive, I would understand and agree. But it’s just an excuse for poor writing.

You can’t tell your audience that you produced a 450 page book in which only maybe 10 pages in the entire book aren’t just repeating the same thing over and over and tell your audience it’s on purpose and to get over it.

Maybe learn how to write? Lmfao. Doesn’t work when you do this in every book.

So so much.

This is crazy dark with delicious tendencies. You definitely need to read the first one.
Past trauma and drama plays a big part in this story. I mean i had to read read a few passages and was like did I really read that.
The baddie so dark and twisted and needy. Mostly focused... on her. Her the willing victim...I went through wanting to hug her and shake her. The big bad. Ugh... total mind #@#! In the shadows in the recess of their minds... a puppet master? Hmmm
The dirt is durty. The drama tense. The dark at its darkest. Enjoy

Book 2 of Little Nightmare Duet

After the complete mindmeld that was book 1 in this duet, I was left with so many questions and just conflicted and wrecked.
I was not expecting where this plot would take me. It was dark, I mean pitch black. This is not a comforting read it's completely unhinged and I couldn't get enough. If Damian is an illness I want to be infected. I am unwell and not sure I'll recover anytime soon.

I can't get enough of Calia Quinn's dark romances. I'm addicted to this darkness and obsession.

My mind is completely blown. I am so heartbroken and blindsided right now. There are no words that can explain how mentally twisted this book is. Quinn literally ripped my heart from my chest when she introduced River and destroyed every thought I had about how this pitch black story was going to end. My heart and mind is still trying to process what I just read.

If Raven thought her nightmares had eased shes not prepared for the past coming for her and leading her to seek safty in the one man who could destroy her completely, Damien. Well written book 2 in the series that concludes their dark and twsiting tale, dark themes, drama trauma and more!

The continuation of Raven and Damien's story is just as dark and unhinged as book one, if not more so. Just make sure you allow plenty of time and no interruptions whilst reading... now I need a break...

Book 2 of the Little Nightmare Duet

Book 1 in this duet, Little Spider, left me with so many questions and confusion. As dark and twisted as it was, Book 2 was even darker and more twisted.

This is not a warm and fuzzy read, it's completely unhinged and twisted. It sucks you in and has you holding your breath wondering what will come next.

Make sure to check the trigger warnings, but if you're like me and you have none, then welcome to this darkness and obsession.
