Broken Vows : Sapphic Toxicity Survivor

Rate this book
Angel thought escaping the clutches of her abusive baby daddy, Dalvin, would be the beginning of her healing. Trapped in a cycle of control and manipulation, Angel's world was suffocating—until Porsha swept into her life like a dream. Protective, nurturing, and everything Dalvin wasn't, Porsha offered Angel a chance to love and be loved without fear. For the first time, Angel dared to imagine a life outside the pain—a life shared with another woman.

But perfection has a price.

As Angel settles into what she believes is a fresh start, the mask begins to slip. Porsha's love turns possessive, her tenderness warped into tactics even more insidious than Dalvin's. Angel realizes too late that she's walked into another trap, one with velvet covered chains and a far more dangerous captor.

Broken Sapphic Toxicity Survivor is a raw and unflinching parable about the complexities of abuse, the deceptive faces it can wear, and the resilience of a woman who refuses to be broken twice. Using the lessons learned from her parents and grandparents, Angel claws her way out of darkness a second time. She harnesses her inner strength and transforms from survivor to warrior—this time, not just fighting for freedom, but vowing vengeance on the systems and people that nearly destroyed her.

This is not just a story of survival—it's a reckoning.

This Is A Lot

I thought this would be your typical man abuses woman, she seeks safety. Nope! This book took you everywhere and then some. It’s one situation right into the next.
Angel didn’t have time to clear her head or gather herself after fleeing Dalvin or being thrown out by him. Porsha was too forceful for me and Angel was too docile. She took so long before she dug deep for her survival mode.
These YCs are disgusting. The description of that campsite said before you meet them. Visualizing all the things that occurred did in fact affect my mental. I wanted these people to get their Karma.
Dalvin ink did what Angel enabled him to do. Once he’d get kickback, I think he’d no longer be a problem.
From the fedex center, homeless in her car, abused in the unalived girlfriend’s home, in the woods to Boss mode. All kinds of emotions and tons of characters.

Whenever you pick up a book by Mikah and Ernest Lee, you already know it’s about to be a wild, messy, emotionally packed ride—but this one? This one hit different.

Angel, our FMC, has made some pretty questionable choices when it comes to love and relationships, especially with men. When she decides to give a woman a shot, she’s hoping for something better… but instead, her pattern of heartbreak just deepens. Throughout the story, Angel has been selling herself short and overlooking her strength, but when tragedy strikes, it forces her to tap into a part of herself she didn’t know existed.

What I loved most is that this book wasn’t just about survival, it was about transformation. Watching Angel go from victim to powerful, vengeful, self-assured woman was such a satisfying journey. The trauma is heavy, the twists are plenty, and the grit is real. But so is the healing.

💥 Prepare yourself. This one is raw, emotional, and has a bite. But trust, it’s worth every single page.

A gripping tale of survival

READ THE TRIGGER WARNING

This story is a powerful one of survival that shows DV can show up in any vessel. Angel thought she was escaping a horrible relationship at the hands of a saviour only to realize she inadvertently walked into a worse situation. When faced with a life or death decision she leans on teachings from her childhood to live.

Loved it

This book had me on the edge of my seat. I really thought Angel wouldn't survive but she proved everyone including me wrong. She went through so much with Dalvin and Porscha. I am so happy that she has her son and she can defend herself to the fullest. Great Read!

Great Book!🔥🔥

I am so glad Angel came out on top and got her revenge against both exes. This book was a page turner but it made me sad at times because what Angel went through.
