Run. Freeze. Surrender—because in the Mate Hunt, the cold always drives you into the monster’s arms.I signed the contract to wipe out my mother’s debts. The credits cleared the moment I agreed. Now I have thirty days on a brutal ice world—thirty days to keep out of reach of the predator tracking me across the frozen canyons.
The storms cut like knives. The air steals every breath. And the tonic burning through my body twists the danger sharper—because it makes me need him. Desperately.
Gorth is no ordinary hunter. He’s a towering beast of white fur and ridged strength, a veteran who has spent half a lifetime preparing for this moment. His lair is carved from fire beneath the ice, a hidden sanctuary waiting for the mate he refuses to release.
He doesn’t just want to capture me. He wants to break through every defense I swore I’d keep. And with every night I survive in his arms, the choice I thought I had begins to melt away.
A scorching sci-fi romance featuring frozen worlds, relentless hunters, and a heroine who must decide whether freedom is worth more than the mate who makes her burn.
Gorth has waited for 20 years for his mate. There had been others but for one reason or another they had not been his true mate. So he perfected his little bit of paradise and continued to ready his home for his love, for his true mate.
Then Amira showed up and he knew. She was the one. The only one he craved as a forever. Now he just had to show her that life with him could be beautiful. It will be a challenge but Gorth has waited for so long and he just wants to get this right. He needs her to choose him because he will never be his father. Choice matters.
Amira just needs to survive for 30 days. Thirty days and her debts are paid. Thirty days and she will be free...if she can resist the male who wants to keep her forever. Once she has got to know him however she isn't quite sure she wants to resist and he's not pushing the ways she feared. His goal seems to be to keep her safe and make her want him. You will have to beg he told her....
When an Orc chieftan chooses to take a human as a mate instead of a simple thrall things get shook up. Members of his tribe don't think this is a good idea but Gorth knows his own mind and soul and nothing will stop him from making her his fated mate. He knows she will be a strong and beautiful addition to his tribe and she has far more to offer than the others realize.
I absolutely loved this book! Short read, fast and easy to finish! His paradise is a gift any woman would treasure.
Amira finds herself at the agency ready to sign papers that will send her thru the portal to an alien world for the Mate Hunt. What choice does she have but to sign. She owes a staggering debt, which will be forgiven, because of the care given her mother, who died anyway from cancer. If she refuses, the amount increases just from the interest alone. All participants r required to drink a tonic before they leave to prepare them for the harsh environment of the alien world. That's a lie!! It actually prepares their bodies to undergo a transformation that changes them physically to survive n summit to whatever hunter finds her worthy of mating. Gorth has waited 20 seasons, preparing for his perfect match. When he senses her as she comes thru the portal he knows instantly that she's the one. But he has rivals, 4 younger ones n one other seasoned hunter, like himself, so he does not have the time to cultivate the mate bond like he wants. He needs to expedite the claiming n get her to the safety of his den so he can protect her. Another exciting story from the mind of the author. As I said in another interview, the transformation n the claiming goes into very graphic detail. It's spicy, racy n very sexual. If you're looking for something "clean", these stories r not it.
I am not usually one to enjoy Alien smut but I found this book to be enjoyable. Amira idrowning in debt after her mother dies of cancer. Earth has taken on a gray haze and there is not much left for her here. She signs up for the hunt. Spend 30 days on another planet to be hunted and bread. If she survives her debt will be wiped away. Gorth is our hunter on a very cold planet. He resembles an abominable snowman. He is extremely large but he is gentle with Amira. She is the first compatible female in 20 seasons of hunting. Along with the hunt comes competition for the female and territory. Amira is thrown into a harsh world but she soon finds out for Gorth has prepared for her. When you 30 days are up will she return to her gray planet or stay with Gorth? I love how possessive, protective and gentle Gorth is with Amira. He treats her with the utmost care. The author does a fantastic job of painting the picture of the planet. Add in the make fight for dominance and it keeps you guessing what happens next. Enjoyable read.
Gorth is one of the oldest in his world. He has the perfect home for when he gets a mate. He has looked for her but up until now he hadn't found the right match. That is until Amira. She is one of the highest possible mates he could have ever waited for. She will be not only perfect for him but they will have the best possible offspring too. Amira is not at all happy to be here but she takes it really well considering. After Gorth starts to show her his world she is finding that this new world has more beauty then Earth does or will ever have. The beauty he has cultivated is something to read. His world is ice and snow so to find a paradise at the center of his home is amazing. Many years and lots of work have gone into his home he built for his mate.
This story by Zara Crowe was an enjoyable read. This is a hunted mate, fated mate alien romance story that was entertaining and engaging. The frozen world that Amira finds herself on after signing up to pay off her dead mother's medical bills was quite descriptive and our characters - Gorth our yeti-like alien was easy to fall for as he courts our Amira in the style of his race were very likable. As the chase proceeds will Amira choose to stay with Gorth her hunter? I'd volunteer to read and review this copy I'd received. PS This was my first book I've read by this author, and I'd found this to be a well-rounded alien romance story.
He built a paradise for her before they ever met. He defended her without knowing her. She came to him out of mutual necessity. The battle for their home and the life they were building together was excellent.
This was the perfect amount of cheesey! I love that Gorth was a super protective gentle giant!! 20 years making the perfect oasis for a potential mate?! I loved it!
