A Fiery Fall Love

Rate this book
One hometown return. One old flame.
A second chance waiting to spark.

Hazel Brennen never thought she’d be back in Autumn Ridge. But when her L.A. life explodes, the IT specialist returns home after eight years—determined to heal, help at her family’s coffee shop, and avoid small-town gossip.

What she doesn’t expect? Luke Harrison.
Her brother’s best friend.
Her ex-boyfriend.
The reason she left in the first place.

Now he’s the Fire Chief, stationed across the street, and impossible to avoid. Between her meddling family, his two matchmaking dogs, and a “volunteer” spot helping with Fall Festival decorations, Hazel keeps colliding with the man she swore off.

Pumpkins, fairy lights, and one firefighter she can’t resist.

Forced to work together, old sparks flare fast. With jealous exes, nosy neighbors, and wounds that never quite healed, this second chance may take more than pumpkin spice to pull off.

Hazel swears she’s only staying for a month. Luke is determined to make it forever.

Second chances are messy. Small towns are meddling.
And her ex? Hot enough to burn twice.

A Fiery Fall Love is a feel-good, small town romance, set against the backdrop of a cozy Vermont autumn. With enough spice to make your ears burn, this is the story of coming home—to your family, your heart, and the person who's been waiting for you all along.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶🌶

This book left me feeling warm, cozy, and smiling like an idiot.

The story begins with Hazel driving home after losing her entire life in the city. As she pulls into the driveway of her childhood home, she's anxious about showing up unannounced after running from her family and hometown for 8 years. Her family immediately absorbs her back in, carefully treading away from anything that might send her running away. Hazel agrees to help her parents in their coffee shop, updating tech systems and modernizing their business and while doing so, runs into her former flame, and her brother's best friend, Luke Brennan.
Luke and Hazel team up to coordinate the towns fall festival, but old traumas, drama, and heartbreak haunt every interaction they have. Will they decide to clear the air, or will it send Hazel running back to the city for good. Hazel is unsure about everything, but for Luke, there is only Hazel.

Hazel and her dynamic with her family was everything. So impossiblely healthy, with boundaries, loyalty, support, and love. Her relationship with her brother Sam is childish, but series and joking - everything a sibling relationship ought to be.

Hazel, as an MMC, was great. I liked that she found her confidence as the story went on, and her confrontation with her past was EVERYTHING. I was a little frustrated with her personality trait of avoidance, but I can't fault her. It's human, real, and honestly, and some things ARE hard to talk about.

Luke, poor Luke. For having such a tragic childhood, he is calm, emotionally intelligent, loyal, and romantic. The fact that he's yearned for Hazel for 8 years? Swoon. The things he had done, created, and held onto for her were just too sweet. Swoon. Black hair, blue eyes, fire chief? Swoon. Their relationship was a slow bloom, igniting to a full blaze, and the spice was SPICING! Everything about them seemed mature, confident, and adult. I love that we get his POV, his YEARNING, and commitment 👏🏻 🥺 and they way he babies his injuries for sympathy marks from Hazel? HILARIOUS.

I sat and read this in a day. I couldn't pull myself away as the story unfolded. As a person who is quite familiar with emergency rescue, I found the authors descriptions to be accurate and realistic. Nothing at all seemed cringe, and it was clear with Raffat's description of this and the IT world that the author holds familiarity with the subjects. Points.

Impossibly sweet, scorchingly hot, impeccable fall vibes - I am so glad I picked this up. I only hope this becomes available in paperback so I can add a trophy to my favorites fall reads shelf.

Thank you so much, RJ Raffat, for allowing me to stop into Luke and Hazels' story as an ARC read.

Thank you so much to the author for sending me an ARC copy of a fiery fall love! 🍂🍁

I could not put this book down! I finished this in less than a day. This is the perfect small-town romance for fall. Such an easy read and great for cuddling up in a blanket with a warm cocoa ☕️.

Hazel and Lukes back and forth teasing was hilarious to read. Also their chemistry?! Hell yes. These characters fit so well together, it just clicks. ✨

A Fiery Fall Love by KJ Raffat 4.5⭐️

I didn't know what to expect, as this is a new author, but I LOVED it. This book reads like a hallmark movie, set in a small New England town. Living in New Hampshire, it was easy for me to picture this small Vermont town of Autumn Ridge. I felt like I was there, seeing the town transform into a fall festival. 🧡

I loved the relationship Hazel (FMC) has with her family, even after being away for 8 years. The big brother perfectiveness was perfect and humorous. What I really liked was that it was technically an older brother's best friend troupe, but it didn't harp on it like this troupe traditionally does.

Who doesn't love a firefighter?! Luke (MMC) is fire chief, well liked in the community, not afraid to share his feelings, AND is romantic and generous. Yup, perfect book boyfriend.

The book was a wholesome, hallmark read... until it wasn't. The spice in the second half was only a few scenes, but rememerable. I was not prepared for it and couldnt tell if I loved it, or hated it. I think I ended up liking it, as it really drove home the physical spark that never went away between them.

Thank you @authorkjraffat for the ARC copy! PLEASE say that there's a second book coming for Sam and Molly!

Unfortunately, this book is NOT available on Amazon, but don't let that stop you. You can find the electric version at Barns & Noble, Kobo, Smashwords, Fable, Thalia, Apple Books, Vivlio, and Angus & Robertson.

I loved the setting, the characters, the plot and the fact that it wasn’t predictable the reason they have broken up in the first place.

The see each other again. Hw never got over her
She never got over him but she couldn’t forgive him.

I picked up this ARC not really knowing what to expect — I just saw a beautiful cover and a cozy fall theme and thought, perfect. Then I realized it’s about a firefighter and went, even better.

Let me tell you — from the very first chapter, I was hooked. The writing is amazing: simple, not overdone, but absolutely captivating. It drew me in instantly and felt just right. I found myself unable to put it down — something that doesn’t happen often with this kind of book.

Our heroine returns to her small hometown after eight years away, freshly fired, divorced, and a bit lost, trying to find herself again. There, she attempts to reconnect with her family… and to avoid her ex, Luke — the ridiculously handsome firefighter who once broke her heart. How well do you think that goes in a small town? Yep. Not well at all.

The characters are incredible — layered, emotional, and so relatable. I felt connected to every one of them and genuinely cared about their happiness. Even the side characters stole my heart, and I can’t wait for their stories too!

The spicy scenes? Dreamy. I loved that we got Luke’s POV — I always enjoy seeing those moments from the male perspective. Yes. Just yes.

Honestly, I could talk about this book forever… but I’ll stop here.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5 — absolutely worth it.

Luke officially enters my top 10 book boyfriends, so… you get the idea.
Huge thanks to the author for the ARC — I’ll definitely be ordering a physical copy for my collection!

This was such a quick, cozy, feel-good read, it had me happy crying! A small town fall romance about Hazel who has just returned home to Autumn Ridge after 8 years. She's running away from a bad situation back in L.A., only to find herself continuously falling into the arms of her childhood sweetheart, Luke, & not exactly happy about it. 🤔

From the first chapter, this book had me feeling homey with all the fall references, but completely invested in what was happening with Hazel & Luke. The past these 2 characters were recovering from & all the secrets being revealed had me on the edge of my seat wanting more, not to mention the haunting of L.A. still sneaking it's way back in. There were some shocking surprises that had me yelling at the pages while reading but the ending made it all worth it! It ended in the best way I could've imagined & had my heart so full. I loved every minute of this story & you should definitely pick it up!! Perfect for your October TBR! 🍂🧡

A Fiery Fall Love
Author : KJ Raffat

Well I'll be! KJ Raffat did it again! I definitely knew it from the start that I would love this book as much as the Silverbell Hollow Series I read last year.

The story begins with Hazel Brennen (Hazel-nut as what Tom, her father liked to call her), a Technical Product Manager at Airtel Tech, working in Los Angeles, California, suddenly got fired on the job. Yeah you heard me. And by who? Derek, her colleague & now ex-boyfriend who betrayed her & took every inch of her career from her. With nothing left in place for her in LA (including her condo because she was chased out of it by the same bastard), she decided to come home to Autumn Ridge & stay for a month to spend time with family after eight long years of being away from them. But there is something holding her back - she is dreaded by the thought of seeing her long-time ex-boyfriend back in the days who she was with before she accepted the job in LA. Tangled in thoughts, reminiscing the pain in the past accompanied by unresolved issues & no closure, she fought hard & decided to fly home anyways - & perfectly in time for the famous Harvest Festival!

The similarity in pattern of style & writing of interchanging POVs of the couple, is what I have loved from the first book I read from her, & I have loved it ever since!

The characters are especially loveable & cozy & I have resonated with each & everyone of them. I especially yearned for an older brother IRL like Sam (runs an auto shop business) who's a hardworking & protective sibling, that I was just plain jelly of Hazel. Not to mention her loving parents Tom & Linda (owners of coffee shop Brennen's Brew), who just welcomed her home with open arms & no questions asked - I was just touched & shed a tear as I read through.

To be honest, I was skeptical at first if the plot involved second chances, because imo, it is a hard take, especially when it involves immorality. But then in this case with Chief Firefighter Luke Harrison, it was never even about cheating or any of that sort to begin with. Plus I just love Hazel's character development; her genius & skilled traits with that matching strong resolve, despite what she has gone through. Atta girl! 💪

I was on an emotional wreck of a rollercoaster ride as I absorb every single raw & unfiltered emotion Hazel & Luke had. In the end, I was just so glad everything turned out like how I wanted it to be. Completely devoured the book in one go & never regretted it one single bit. 😏

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

P.S.

I am sensing Sam & Molly needs to have their own story. Lowkey shipping them both, Sam needs to get a life outside that auto shop.

Also good riddance on Brittany & her obsession. She should go to a mental health institution herself & get help. Same as Derek, with his sick delusions & Jessica's blind idiocy. Oh & Luke's uncle too. Hope none of them step their foot in Autumn Ridge ever again.

I want to thank KJ Raffat for the opportunity receiving this readers copy is such a gift!

Hazels life is falling apart, after eight years she’s returning home. She doesn’t know what awaits her but she has no where else to go. After a warm welcome from her family she seems to calm. She knows it’s a matter of time before she runs into the boy that broke her heart, the one that drove her away. Despite the anger between the two a connection is still there, frail but existing. Coming back home might be the best thing for Hazel and Luke but not before heartbreak hits them. When you hit rock bottom there’s only one place to go and that’s, up. Hazel picked herself up with the help of her loving family and support system something she’s been missing for eight years. Luke picked himself up and fixed his wrongs he fought for what he lost and no way was he ever letting go.

It’s been a while since I’ve stayed up reading a book. This story has stolen my heart and found a very special place in it. I’m not the type to read cozy reads- (I connect them as a fun fast read when I usually want an emotional roller coaster with pain that eventually gets a HEA ). But NOT THIS ONE, I cried and felt ALL THE hurt and fell in love with every single side characters and the main characters. I felt it all, sadness; happiness, humor and a sense of calm while reading. Despite what these two went through it was amazing to see their growth and see the mistakes be fixed.
Thank you KJ R, for the opportunity and the chance you gave me to fall In love with such an amazing read.

Also Sam is such a vibe. One of the coolest brothers I’ve read about. Also the slow burn in this book ✋ I usually don’t comment on the spice in book but I’ll say that this book made it worth it. It’s definitely a trophy read and one I will come back and do rereads. 🤍🧡

Thank you KJ Raffat for providing this ARC of A Fiery Fall Love in exchange for my review.

This was such a super quick and cozy read… A Fiery Fall Love wrapped me up in crisp leaves, hot chocolate, and small-town charm from the very first chapter. Autumn Ridge sounds like the kind of place you’d accidentally move to while “finding yourself” and then never want to leave. If it exists in real life, please point me toward the nearest estate agents.

Any book set during autumn or Halloween already has my heart halfway won, but the town festival really sealed it. Sign me up for the decorating committee, followed by a long walk and possibly a twirl or two around the festivities after a cup (or three) of hot chocolate.

Hazel and Luke were both wonderfully developed characters. I got such a strong sense of who they are and what shaped them. Hazel’s decision to leave LA made sense, though I did find myself wishing she’d brought a bit of that small-town fire with her before she left. Luckily, she found it again in her own time. Luke, on the other hand… our golden retriever of a fire chief. Loyal, patient, a little lost but endlessly kind. The way he waited and hoped? Let’s just say my slightly cynical and perpetually sarcastic heart melted a bit.

This book had me smiling, swooning, and daydreaming about crunchy leaves and second chances. I’d absolutely love to revisit Autumn Ridge again... perhaps with Sam taking the lead next time?

Truly honoured to get an ARC of this one!
If you’re looking for a cute cozy fall romance, this is it. It gives Hallmark movie vibes for sure, with a little bit of The Notebook. It was a fun and cute easy read with characters I liked.

There were some descriptor words that I found to be repetitive throughout the novel, enough that it was noticeable. There were also some words I felt were out of place or felt like it was described oddly. In the spicy scenes, the word “scream” appeared a lot and did not match what I felt was happening in the scene.

Scene transitions were a bit odd to me as well. For example, there is a very romantic date that seemed really special and sentimental, which led into a very assertive spicy scene. It’s not impossible, but it felt jarring.

There is also some physical “violence” like just hitting etc that I found a bit odd. It felt a bit out of place and happens more than once. First with Brittany and then with Derek and Jessica. One punch I feel like would have sufficed.

Overall the writing was good, the characters were loveable and the town was cute! I did like how we got to meet many characters in Autumn Ridge which I’m sure is a lead up to other books in the series. I look forward to those and would definitely put them on my TBR. It was a fun read when you’re looking for those cute small town romances with a happy ending.

I received an ARC of A Fiery Fall Love and am leaving my honest review.

In my opinion, this was a perfect cozy fall book. It's a fairly quick read and you are immediately drawn into the sweetest loving family. I honestly got teary in chapter one with the precious family reunion. I fully expected some grief from her parents and when they just welcomed her home I knew I wanted to keep reading all I could about this family.

Hazel is the extremely intelligent FMC who comes home after losing pretty much everything (including herself) to regroup. Her parents and brother, Sam, are still in her hometown of Autumn Ridge. We eventually find out why she distanced herself so much from the town and family once we meet Luke. Hazel and Luke were high school sweethearts who had an unfortunate falling out. I love how Luke worked to help bring back Hazel's spark. The process of rebuilding their relationship while also allowing room and time for Hazel to rediscover herself was very well done.

This is the kind of fall book I can imagine reading each October for the good feels. It reminded me of a spicy Gilmore Girls and all of the characters had me invested. I'm assuming we will get Sam's story next. I can't wait to see how he balances his job and his extremely protective side while in a relationship.

Thank you to KJ Raffat for sharing the ARC of A Fiery Fall Love!

A Fiery Fall Love By KJ Raffat ARC Review

Hazel, was a woman who tried her best and worked the hardest and I was loving this story because the amount of times I felt that the chemistry was beautiful between them and the way they lit up a room when they were together was just beautiful and desiring.

I was really interested in how the relationship between her family and her was so strong and something that was perfection I really loved how they all navigated their emotions and came back together in the end.

I think my favourite of their family’s relationship was the nickname they both at Hazel it was cute at times and getting dive into the volume of the story and plot. This second chance romance had my heart and it teared it right open and reopened new emotions I couldn’t explain.

Luke, had explosive chemistry with Hazel I thought the moments they shared between each other were sweet and how they reconnected was wonderful and also one my most favourite moments they had with each other alongside while falling in love with each other.

The epilogue was a masterpiece and I rated this book 5 stars because the amount of times I watched their feelings light up a room and the way they spoke was a constant reminder they didn’t give up on their relationship.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Fiery Fall Love by K.J. Raffat

If you’re looking for the perfect fall read filled with warmth, laughter, and second chances — this one absolutely delivers🍁

Hazel returns to her hometown to mend her broken heart, and of course, life decides to make things extra interesting by throwing her ex, Luke, right back into her path. He’s now a firefighter (wow🔥), charming, and still knows exactly how to make her blush.

What I loved most was the mix of small-town charm, funny and sweet moments, and just the right amount of spice. The story feels like curling up under a cozy blanket with a hot drink and a bit of emotional healing mixed in. Hazel and Luke’s chemistry jumps off the page, and the writing makes the setting feel so alive, you can almost smell the autumn air or the coffee in the coffee shop!!

I flew through this book in two sittings because I just couldn’t put it down. It’s tender, funny, and heartwarming: the kind of story that leaves you smiling long after you’ve finished. 💛

Huge thank you to K.J. Raffat for the ARC! I absolutely adored this book and can’t wait to see what comes next!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Autumn Romance

A Fiery Fall Love by K.J. Raffat is the kind of story that wraps around you like a cozy sweater on a crisp October evening. From the very first page, I was drawn in by the vivid descriptions, the emotional depth, and the undeniable chemistry between the main characters. Raffat has a gift for blending warmth and intensity — every chapter feels alive with passion, heartbreak, and hope.

The setting is absolutely magical — you can practically smell the autumn air in the small town of Autumn Ridge and hear the rustle of leaves as the story unfolds. But it’s not just the season that burns bright — it’s the characters themselves - Hazel and Luke. Their flaws, fears, and deep and intense connection make this a romance that feels truly real.

By the end, I found myself smiling. A Fiery Fall Love isn’t just a romance; it’s a story about second chances, healing, and the beauty of letting yourself be vulnerable again. K.J. Raffat has written something truly special — a perfect read for anyone who believes love can be as fierce and breathtaking as the season itself.

such a cozy, wonderful, hot fall romance!

A young woman got her heart broken, escaped to the city but after 8 years she lost everything and comes back home to nurse her wounds. She just wasn't expecting her childhood sweetheart to have become a hunky fireman, and that she would still be so attracted to him.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because i just loved it! the story is so easy to follow, good descriptions and funny scenes, and the plot is awsome and makrs sense!

I love all the personalities, the parents are really funny! a really funny quote "you keep your hands off my daugther or I'll hose you down like a stray dog"! and while reading the interactions with sam, fhe brother, i could really feel the childhood ease they had and still have, the easy going relationship.

I was chocked at how dominant Luke was in bed, sweet Jesus, i need a hose down! but it gave the better effect, even though i wasnt prepared for it haha. i also did not see the plot coming, i thought for sure i knew what would happen, but boy was it wrong.

I can recommend this book anyone whos in the mood for a funny, lovely fall romance.

rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for voluntarily giving my review. what a cute second chance love story. We meet Hazel, jobless, homeless and boyfriend less on her way home to Vermont from LA. she doesn't know what to do or where to go but she needs to be home. its been a yrs since shes been back but her parents are happy to see her. her brother is still mad that she dropped him from her life but even he is happy to see her. now all Hazel needs to do is not see Luke, the reason she left in thr 1st place. running into Luke 2 times in one day is not how Hazel planned to see him. Luke is shocked to see Hazel back in town. there is smtg different about her and it's not good. sam tries to convince Luke to get Hazel to help with the Harvest Festival. Hazel can't let go of the past but its hard to when Luke has gotten so damn handsome..stupid hormones. A Wicked storm leaves the town in a rough patch and Hazel jumps in to help out. Will Luke convince Hazel this is where she belongs and will Hazel confront her past?

“The best things in life are worth waiting for.”

KJ, this book was EVERYTHING & MORE! #THANKYOU for giving me the chance to read your book as an #eARC. I enjoyed reading it SO much! You had me going through my emotions as a child goes through a tissue box trying to show he’s an independent little boy who knows how to wipe his nose. You are so talented, and I look forward to reading more books written by you.

This book was so relatable because I too, at one point, would much rather run away & start over than confront people and get what I deserve.

A Fiery Fall Love is a second chance, small-town, fall romance, with forced proximity, and more. Hazel and Luke will make you fall in love with simple things.

Best adviced to read this book while sitting in a comfortable place, with a blanket & a warm drink, near a fireplace.

#AFieryFallLove will be releasing on: #AppleBooks, #BarnesAndNoble, #Kobo, #Everand, #Smashwords, & #Tolino.

I got the absolute pleasure of being picked to ARC read, A Fiery Fall Love and fell in love from the first line “I should have called.” I have felt that way before going home before. Our FMC Hazel hasn’t been home in 8 years, when our MMC Luke might have done something horrible. She’s finally coming home again. A second chance that may or may not work…. 2nd meeting has Hazel in Luke’s arms and demands to be put down, he refuses. So what is a girl to do… the always faithful T***y twister, works every time. Heartfelt reunions and some crazy banter, an older brother who is massively protective, 2 smart dogs and some Fall things thrown in. This story will capture your heart from start to finish.
One of my favorite chapters has, Dancing to Tennessee Whiskey and I can envision it and I love it!
Totally 5 star worthy and 🌶️🌶️🌶️ I’d also love me some Luke or Sam. I am hopeful there is a Sam book next!!!

I’m a sucker for some firefighter romance but love it even more when the FMC is a badass not a damsel in distress.

Hazel and Luke have a history, but due to a misunderstanding led them to 8 years apart. Hazel suddenly finds herself home after the 8 years and you’ll have to read the rest 😘

I loved the connection of these two characters but also hazels relationship with her brother and they quick wit banter. The car scene had me cracking up. I also loved the action scenes with the fire personnel and Hazel showing her badass skills to save the day.

I personally found myself in Hazel in the aspects of not having the confidence in the life and love she deserves, always waiting for the other shoe to drop and just not believing it’s real. It took a long time to have the confidence that I am meant to have this kind of love.

Also, the spice is 👌 makes me want a cozy cabin with a nice fireplace 🥵

Perfect fall cozy read with some action!

I have received the ARC and this is my honest review

What a cute fall romance ♡(˃͈ ˂͈ ). This is the first fall romance I have read as I thought I can't vibe with the fall season cause my country doesn't have fall season 😔. My first thought is I thought it's just a simple and cute romance but surprisingly this book has conflict and the details. OMG I love the details that the author put inside the book. I love how details about the cafe, the firefighter jobs and more importantly the details of Hazel jobs. I'm obviously not really smart so I can't really understand what her doing actually doing but I'm enjoying that. And I love what they are doing with Derek and I am really satisfied with that hahaha. Overall the plot, romance and characters are all good and I really enjoyed this. Big thanks to author cause putting me into the ARC team (ง ˃ ³ ˂)ว ⁼³₌₃⁼³

"Thank you to KJ Rafferty for the ARC. This is my honest review.

This book is such a vibe. I honestly love it so much. Hazel left everything behind 8 years ago and now is returning to her family home with nothing...no job, no home, no hope. Welcoming her home with open arms, Hazel begins to feel safe and heal from her past until her ex-boyfriend, Luke reenters the picture. Still incredibly close with her family, Luke is like apart of the family and Hazel wants nothing to do with him. But Luke doesn't know what he did to make Hazel hate him so much.

The perfect fall read, this book was so cute and adorable. I read the first 80% in one sitting and finished it as soon as I was able to the next day. The small town vibes, feel good story, and interactions between the characters were all amazing, and this story just feels like a warm hug. "

Oh my goodness!!! This is the most perfect and cozy fall book! I need to buy the physical book so I can cuddle up with it and read again (cuddling my iPad would be weird lol).

I love a good seasonal themed book and this was perfect!!!!! It had all the fall and homey vibes you could ever want! A spicy version of a fall hallmark movie :)

I don’t want to give spoilers but when “you know who” was arrested that was the funniest scene ever. I laughed.

The chemistry between Hazel and Luke is superb!!! I love them so much. Also Sam is a hoot. A great brother and just a funny well rounded character! If you need spin off ideas I would so read a book about Sam!

totally beware author to me but wow I loved the book.

shes come home after 8 years away to try and find herself again as her ex had not only done a number on her personally but professionally too. but what she wasn't ready for was the one she was hoping she could avoid but small towns you dont get that luck.

he was not ready for her return as he knew she was the one. but with urging of her brother he pulls her into festival planning. could they start over returning to what they were. Will she stay?

well there is other drama and healing they go through but to find out what exactly grab the book and take a read through the warm fall themed story. I hope theres more to come

Absolutely loved this book! A perfect brother’s best friend, former love, small town romance. Cozy up with a blanket and your favorite fall beverage and read this in a couple hours. It’s a perfect HEA with a great plot with “I never stopped loving you” vibes. If you’re like me, and you read a lot of hefty books, but just want something short and sweet to read, this is it!

Growing up in a small town, in New England, with a close knit family, this book makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. The scenery in Vermont in the fall months is beautifully written. I felt like I could see and smell everything, and I know it’s just a beautiful as it’s described to be.

How it starts with FMC becoming heart broken after 8 years has you questioning from the start what has happened, and who’s at fault.
Then MMC story of what had happened with FMC previously and still has you questioning what had been going on.
When exes are brought into the mix it brings a lot of tension and badass fire. It shows love may never die and you’re rooting for FMC and MMC to get together!
It touches on what abuse in relationships can look like and that after everything, happy endings can happen.
I was encapsulated from the very beginning! It makes you want to cuddle up in front of a fire with a hot chocolate.
Very spicy but not over the top.

I could not put this book down! It made me laugh and cry—both happy and sad tears. The character development was so strong that I felt like I really knew each one well. I'm eager for more! I want to learn more about Sam and the other residents of Autumn Ridge. I loved that the main female character feels so realistic. Her problems and reactions are incredibly relatable. She responds in ways that make sense, without being so irrational that the plot becomes unbelievable. I will be rereading this, at least a few times. It's my new comfort read!
