Steele Sometimes it takes losing everything to figure out what’s important. I lost my marriage, but I’m determined to do right by my kid. I found a brotherhood when I patched into the Heller Raiders. After going through an ugly divorce, I didn’t think I’d want another relationship. My kid’s teacher is beautiful and hard to resist. I want her in my bed and on the back of my bike.
Jaymi Grief and betrayal have me locked in a box I can’t escape. I wouldn’t survive without the children in my class. One little girl has my heart. But her father is muscle and mayhem, covered in ink, and riding a Harley. He’s trouble and trouble always seems to find me. I know I’m not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but I know how this story will end.
Steele is a member of the Hellers Raiders MC and is going through a divorce and a fight for child custody. Lili is stuck in the middle but with Lili’s teacher, Jaymi, in her corner things take on a whole new look. Jaymi is going through something herself that was heartbreaking but she is coming out on the other side.
Steele and Jaymi definitely have an attraction for each other and their relationship had me rooting for them the whole way through. There was heartbreak, betrayal, and a chance at creating a family. This was a fantastic MC romance that was a huge page turner. I am going back to read more books in this series because this book has me hooked.
I love this series so much, and this book was amazing. Every single detail was perfect. I fell head over heels for Steele and my heart ached for Jayme. Despite coming from different worlds, they were perfect together. Lilly was absolutely delightful. Heartwarming, s3xy, and romantic! One of my favorite reads this year.
When Kyann told me she was ending out one of my favourite series of hers with Steele I knew I was in for a treat. These books are always packed with some of my favourite tropes but this one being single parent romance had me sold from the start, there’s nothing I love more than a tough exterior father who dotes on his little girl, it just makes my heart melt!
As per any book written by this author not only was there amazing chemistry between the two mcs there was also steamy detailed spicy scenes that keeps you satisfied. But don’t be fooled by this there is also a detailed plot that really takes you into the lives of these two, by the end of this book not only will you be rooting for these two but you’ll also feel like you’ve lived alongside them through their journey. I really can’t wait to see what Waters rights next because I know it will be another hit!
Loved this romance, two souls finding each other and filling those spaces that were lacking to make this happy person. The relationship started as a kindness and filling a need, then started growing till a simple friendship became everything. Humor as Steele and Jayme keep the romance private so the school board doesn’t find out or just a little girls chatter. Between court battles, late night rendezvouses, club problems and ex wife bitterness it’s hard to quite reading.

This was a really great story between Steele and Jaymi. Both of them having gone through difficulties in life. Him having a difficult divorce and her losing her family. I loved that they were able to connect on a more personal level. And his daughter Lili helped as well. She was a doll, ands Jaymi’s student. This story captivated me. It was sweet steamy and I truly entire the way these two came together.
The story is quite emotional, involving grief, fighting for what's best for an adorable daughter, forming new families, and enduring personal torments.

"He tasted of whiskey and sin. I wanted to be drunk and condemned."
From the blurb, you know that the MMC is trying to be a good father, is in a motorcycle club, and has the hots for teacher. You also know that the FMC is dealing with some heavy grief and betrayal, and that she has the hots for the tattooed, bad boy, biker and father of one of her students. First, let me tell you that the Jaymi's grief is so well-written and was tugging the hell out of my heart strings. Second, Steele's understanding of his flaws and previous mistakes, as well as his desire to do right by his daughter, Lili, is so well-written that you start rooting for him pretty early on.
Steele's story is 8th in the Heller Raiders MC series: you absolutely do NOT have to read the first 7 to read/understand this one. Sure, it may make keeping track of names/relationships easier, but at no point is that super duper important to the plot in this story. I haven't read any of the first seven and was perfectly fine throughout scenes where other characters/couples/dynamics were mentioned. There is plenty of spice, plenty of plot, and plenty of tension throughout the story. At no point did it feel like Kyann Waters was rushing to get to the next plot point or to finish the book. I would love to see an extended epilogue that glimpses another 6-12 months in the future. I also kind of want to see Holly's story, she seems fun as hell and a true "ride-or-die" friend for Jaymi.
If you’re looking for a classic biker romance with plenty of spice, emotional healing, and a protective single dad, this delivers an entertaining ride.
Steele is easy to root for. After a painful divorce, his focus is on being the best father he can be, making his relationship with his daughter one of the book’s strongest elements. His growing attraction to Jaymi, his daughter’s teacher, feels natural, and it’s refreshing to see an MC hero whose priorities extend beyond the club.
Jaymi brings plenty of emotional baggage of her own. Still reeling from grief and betrayal, she’s hesitant to let anyone in, especially someone whose outlaw lifestyle seems destined to bring more heartbreak. Watching her slowly lower her defenses gives the romance emotional depth beyond the physical attraction.
The chemistry between Steele and Jaymi is immediate, and the romance quickly turns up the heat. Fans of steamy MC romances won’t be disappointed, but the story also balances the spice with genuine character growth, family moments, and the importance of trust.
Overall, this is an enjoyable MC romance featuring a lovable single dad, a caring teacher, plenty of emotional healing, sizzling chemistry, and enough action to keep the pages turning.

Elevator pitch: This book doesn’t show the pretty side of an MC. It shows that there are also darknesses. One of the brothers is running illegal substances, and the whole club could be destroyed. Steele has worked hard to get away from that kind of thing. His priority now is his daughter. He and his daughter’s mother are going through a nasty divorce and Steele is only asking for one thing: joint custody. But Lili’s mother has hatred towards Steele, and will do anything, whether or not it’s ethical, to get Steele out of Lili’s life. Jaymi is little Lili’s teacher and is mired in grief after a tragic accident. She too is dealing with legal challenges because others believe they have a claim to her inheritance. She loves Lili, and can’t help herself when it comes to Lili’s father. When she gets unexpected news, can she give up some of her grief to make room for Steele? Thoughts: reading this made me glad that my ex-husband and I didn’t have children together. Hardcore stuff. You have to work very hard to want to erase somebody that much. The book had some things to say about grief, and I agreed with some of it but not all of it. I also think that all of the adults needed therapy. Sexytime was hot, explicit, and enthusiastic, which made it sizzle.

Steele is book 8 in the Heller Raiders MC series. I love this series, the characters, the drama and the spice. Technically this is a standalone story that can be read on its own and has a HEA but I absolutely recommend starting from the beginning. There are many characters, past events and locations that are reference or appear here in Steele and the entire series is too good to miss!
Steel is ultimately about found/formed family, brotherhood and relationships. Be prepared for some betrayal, trauma, grieving of lost loved ones, divorce, a young child caught in a custody dispute, PTSD and heartbreak so make sure you have some tissues handy because Steele and Jaymi’s story is intense.
There is also plenty of growth, healing, compassion, friendship and steamy attraction. This book is well written, has a strong storyline and I was completely entertained. The Heller Raiders is one of my favorite MC series and I cannot wait for more!
I also suggest KyAnn’s series, Initiation into Submission: High Protocol, and although this series can also stand on its own, it does at one point crossover with the Heller Raiders series so I recommend that too.
Jump right in these bad boys and feisty women are waiting!
This is Book 8 in the Heller Raiders MC series. I have not read the rest of the series (which I plan to rectify soon!), and did not have a hard time following along, as the book is an interconnected standalone.
The book is fast paced...Jaymi & Steele's story is very sweet, and emotional... with their ups & downs...Jaymi lost her husband & child and is still grieving. Steele has a daughter (in Jaymi's class at school, she's a teacher) & is going through a divorce........his ex is also trying to get full custody & that's a whole story.
I enjoyed their story... their interactions, and how everything played out. I love what Steele's brother in law ended up doing (no spoilers, read the book!), which was unexpected & a huge deal... There were several unexpected plot twists, which I enjoyed & appreciated.
Spice level: 3/5
*MC romance *biker romance *romantic suspense *he's going through a divorce & she's a widow *he's a single Dad *she's his daughter's teacher *he falls first *surprise pregnancy (after infertility). *There are many triggers, please read the TW list! (infertility, divorce, loss of spouse & child, custody battle, betrayal & more)
Thank you to the author (KyAnn Waters) & Booksprout for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
He made the mistake once of trusting the wrong woman, and now she’s dragging him through it while they’re in the midst of the divorce and fighting for custody. Even with that baggage, you can’t stop him from noticing his daughter‘s beautiful teacher, and seeing not only her incredible empathy, but also the deep pain she carries with her. She’s been hurt too, but hers is the kind of pain that doesn’t go away and you don’t get past. She’s been living by getting through the days, but when she meets him, he brings something alive in her that she thought was dead. The characters are well written and layered, there are two people who have both come out of the past of pain and betrayal, and are learning to trust again. Neither of them expected things to go anywhere between them, but it soon becomes obvious that there is more connecting them than they thought. This is a sweet redemption story that they really have to fight for their happily ever after.

Brett Steele is fighting to keep Lili his daughter’s life. Lets say the divorce is not finalised and its not pretty. Lili is a wonderful five year old, who loves her dad MC family and her just can’t understand why her parents fight. Jaymi is Lili’s teacher and is a woman full of love and pain. Oh her past loss will break you and see a woman full of love and strength. When Brett and Jaymi meet and he shows her a side of MC member has soul and redemption. These two are amazing, no secrets, just learning to trust that you are allowed to grieve and find happiness.
This book had me crying, laughing the MC family is amazing. The emotions are raw and full of passion. Family, love, steam, emotions and great characters.

Another great book for the MC series. Steele, Jayme, and Lilly are such wonderful and likeable characters. Steele is working hard to be the father to Lilly she deserves. Jayme is gun shy about being hurt again. Not to mention the fact that she's a school teacher the total opposite of this Motor Cycle dude, her favorite students dad. No matter how hard she tries not to be, she is attracted to him. The story is full of emotion, high's, lows, and ends before you're ready. KyAnn has many great lines throughout all of her books, but my favorite is: "Tattoos and temptation. Sex and sin. I was his, and he was mine." The one thing I took away was the fact these damaged and harden men and women have such a wonderful community and family. They're brothers and sisters of the heart. The story is well written, I highly recommend it.
Oh hell what a ride! What a story to conclude the series. I love Brett and Jaymi. Their path to happiness is so sweet but heartfelt. The ugly things in life and how to accept a second chance is just so real. I'm sad we are finished with the Hellers but excited to see what's next.

Book 8 of Heller Raiders MC. While it can be read as a standalone for maximum enjoyment read the books in series order.
'But her father is muscle and mayhem, covered in ink, and riding a Harley. He’s trouble and trouble always seems to find me. I know I’m not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but I know how this story will end.'
The characters were very appealing and likeable and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. All in all a great addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

This MC Romance by KyAnn Waters grabs from the first chapter to the last. The reader will ride the roller coaster of emotions with Jaymi, the grieving school teacher, as she tries to resist the pull of Steele, the biker who just wants to do right by his little girl. The juxtaposition of light and dark comes from the sparkles of a precocious six-year-old against the haunted patch brother who’s lost his way and drags Steele into his mess. Readers of spicy romance will love the connection between Steele and Jaymi. A five-star read from the beginning to the satisfying end.
Steele is determined to do right by his daughter, Lili, even though he wants nothing to do with her mother. He believes he is done with relationships since his divorce is ugly and he has no intention of going through this again. Best laid plans until he meets his little girl’s teacher, Jaymi. Jaymi has is dealing with the grief of losing her husband and daughter and only the children in her class are getting her through it. This an emotional story, with lots of reasons for wanting to smack his ex. This is a great addition to the series.

Really enjoyed this book. You really feel for Steele who has had a troubled past but is determined to put it all behind him, and be a good father and role model for his daughter. The trouble is that serious hurdles keep cropping up and he struggles to prove that he has changed and can look after his daughter, until he meets his daughter's teacher and she supports him.

I was properly gutted for Jaymi, but watching her heal with Steele and his gorgeous little girl completely melted me. Steele is pure muscle and mayhem, but he’s a devoted single dad who will do anything for his family.
The chemistry between the ink-covered biker and the sweet schoolteacher is utterly scorching.

I was completely drawn in from the start and the whole time just kept rooting for Steele and Jaymi. I had some emotional moments because I became so invested. I fell in love with Lili, Steele's daughter. You will not be let down and will want to go back and read the others in this series.

And his messy divorce has hi really focused on being the best dad to his baby girl.
This is the eighth story in the "Heller Raiders MC" series. It can be read as a stand alone read. The story is about Steele and Jaymi. These two are just made for each and compliment each other well. Both dealing with issues and some real life challenges. The story is heartfelt, emotional and extremely captivating with drama, action, suspense, passion and spice.
This was such a great book. Holy hell did I have several moments where I was so worried about what would happen next. I wish we got more from these two and their lives. It ended in such a great way.
If you enjoy MC romances, you need to read this one. This is book 8 in the Heller Raiders motorcycle club series. The MMC, Steele, is a single dad going through a messy divorce fighting for his rights to see his daughter. The FMC, Jaymi, is the teacher of that daughter who is struggling with loss and grief. I was consumed with this story right from the beginning. KyAnn brought these two together in the best way and they end up helping each other go through these difficult situations. Thank goodness they do get their HEA. Highly, highly recommend.
