Amidst Azeroth's vast seas, islands and isles beckon, teeming with marvelous treasures-mighty artifacts, enchanted armor, and captivating stories from yesteryears. After years of delayed honeymoon due to duty, First Arcanist Thalyssra and Lord Regent Lor'themar Theron finally embark on a journey, searching for the ideal setting to celebrate their love. Accompany the couple as they venture to far-off shores, scouting for the perfect sunset and discovering that the journey and the companionship are what truly matter. From the splendid Suramar and Zandalar's lush jungles to Kul Tiras' rugged seas and the verdant Dragon Isles, 'Exploring Islands & Isles' is your next delightful step in a charming tour across Azeroth.
The exploring azeroth series has been largely hit or miss. That being said, I felt this was the best of them all, as it framed the book as a journey to find a honeymoon destination between Thalyssra and Lor’themar Theron, as they write letters back and forth to each other about what they have found. By the end, they come to a heartwarming conclusion to their journey, which I won't reveal. It brings a lot of life and personality into what could otherwise be another stale wiki article collection book.
Another very fun delve into the lore and geography of WoW, accompanied with gorgeous artwork. I enjoyed the framework of it being a sort of travel diary from Thalyssra and Lor'themar looking for a place to honeymoon, but that did get a bit stretched (and tired) when trying to justify exploring every nook and cranny from three expansions of the game within it.
