Rate this book
The Sleeping Dragon (Book I of The Sleeping Dragon Trilogy)

Revenge is personal. Catastrophe is what happens when personal violence scales beyond control.Kai's parents were murdered by an Imperial officer. For three years, he trained in isolation, perfecting the skills needed for vengeance. The assassination succeeded. The satisfaction lasted exactly ten seconds.

Then came the consequences.

Rescued by the Tiger Clan—warriors who possess supernatural abilities passed through bloodlines—Kai undergoes a brutal transformation that makes him something more than human. They send him on a mission to contact the last surviving dragon, a being who's been hibernating in magical stasis for seven hundred years.

What Kai discovers will challenge everything he believes about justice, power, and the true cost of violence.

When grief turns to rage and rage turns to massacre, Kai learns the hardest carrying the weight of catastrophe honestly is harder than justifying mass death through necessity.

Philosophical epic fantasy with permanent consequences. The Sleeping Dragon is Book I of a trilogy spanning 1,400 years, exploring what happens when consciousness tries to learn from catastrophe—and discovers that learning takes centuries most species don't survive.

Incredible

🐅👸🐉

This booked gripped my attention from the start. I don't think I've ever read a book this long faster.

The beginning gave the book purpose right from the start but also gave a sequel a purpose as well. This book itself can be read as a stand alone if you want; however there will be an unresolved story.

The complex world and complex magic building is fantastic. The story of revenge being enough or is there a purpose after is fantastic. The training and fighting scenes within the book.. you guessed it.. fantastic.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy and complex storylines, magic and worlds.
