The summer Alanna Rodger turned eighteen, she thought it would be just like the rest of the summers spent on her parent’s farm in Amarillo Texas. That was until champion bull rider Callan James returned home.
Everyone in town knows about the James’ boys and why they disappeared four years ago.
Everyone but Alanna.
She’s warned to keep her distance but there’s something about Callan’s allure that has her wanting a closer look to unravel all of the reasons that he left — ensuring he stays long after his eight seconds in this town are up.
And when he finally does leave town, she knows exactly where to find him.
There’s nothing that can stop her from wanting him… even the four year age difference won’t prevent her from pursuing him. When Callan can’t get past the age difference, he does everything within his power to show her just how dangerous his lifestyle is.
Short read with cliffhanger.Part of American honey anthology.
Rebellious girl who meets a Cowboy who helps her see her worth.
No self worth only 17 and already lost her teen love in an accident Alana uses boys to escape no one sees this but Callan who's visiting town.
One night together with Callan opens Alanas eyes and she's determined to change.
"some may call me a slut. That's OK. I don't care what they say or think. I don't live for their rules or my dad's. I'm living for this moment, this day, because who knows what we are promised tomorrow"
Cliffhanger just as this short story started to get interesting.
This was fascinating. We have two people who have a past that is affecting the future. What makes it fascinating is that one Alanna has guilt over her boyfriend’s death because they fought before he died so she became the opposite of what she was on the inside so no one could get to her. Callan closed off love because of fear of being distracted from his career. Alanna breaks through his ice though and thaws him out. The two together sizzled. But both held back. Alanna made bad decisions when Callan tried to get closer or when he tried to be honest and responsible. Callan stayed away at first because of her lie. His past taught him to be wary and cautious. Over time he brokedown and let her in. When doing this though he got distracted because he was overwhelmed and didn’t know how to handle his feelings for Alanna. This caused a domino effect and Alanna transforms back to her old ways and this causes Callan to get possessive.
In turn they both realize they need to go slow and become who they are comfortable being. Callan believes in Alanna and is one of the few that believes in her this helps her gain the confidence to go on to do what she desires. callan continues his career and learns to balance work and life better.
These two start out as two hot messes. Callan you grow to love and respect from the get go. He is trying to do the right thing on so many fronts. His sister has a protective streak that is great to see. And Callan taking in the young man after he was ostracized was sweet and honorable. Alanna I didn’t care for at first but as we see her in Callan’s eyes she grows on you.
This is a sweet book on forgiving oneself and finding someone to help you by believing in you and supporting you no matter what.
On the brink of turning eighteen, Alanna Rodger has already made quite a name for herself among her peers in Amarillo, Texas. Champion bull rider Callan James left the city because of an incident and has now returned after a four-year absence. Looking for all the wrong things in the wrong guys, Alanna engages in a steamy one-sided instance with Callan. However, Callan doesn’t know of their age difference due to Alanna’s lie. Afterward, Alanna can’t get Callan out of her mind. But, is Callan willing to risk a relationship with her once he discovers the truth?
This is the first novel by Chelsea Landon that I have read. Everyone loves a hot cowboy who rides bulls, right?
My only drawbacks were at times there was too much telling and not enough showing. Because of the large amounts of narrative, the pacing is slow, and I found myself skipping ahead often. Also, there are many blatant editing errors throughout the novel, distracting me even more. Despite these weaknesses, it is a good story.
I have to give this one 5 stars. It is not very often that a book really drags up my emotions and this one did it. Holy hell for the roller coaster ride that is Callan and Alanna. I freaking LOVED this book!
“I’m never anything more than I am right now, in the arms of liars, doing things I shouldn’t and being someone I’m not. Liars who will tell me how beautiful I am, how amazing I am, how perfect I am just to satisfy their own needs. I’m a scratch to their itch and then forgotten until the next need arises.”
The story of Remember Tonight is not just one of finding love and romance, it's about healing the broken, learning how to accept the tragedies of our past in order to fully embrace our futures It's about finding someone who will look beyond the surface, to who you are inside and break through the hard shell that both Callan and Alanna have put around their hearts. They've been wounded, their souls crushed and they've been put into a box. A box where they're supposed to behave a specific way, say a certain thing and love a certain way, too, but with two headstrong people like Alanna and Callan they can never be kept in a box.
What neither of them expected in their little one horse hometown was to meet each other's eyes across that bon fire one evening. They didn't expect the other to be able to see more, feel more and understand more. They didn't expect to have to push each other or fight against what feels natural. They definitely didn’t expect to have an instant connection and feelings for more than just a night.
How hard is it to fall in love with a cowboy? Or a spitfire of a girl who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it? Callan and Alanna both grabbed my heart, I cried, I laughed and I got a little hot.
I recommend Remember Tonight to anyone who just adores a true love story - not one that's all sunshine and rainbows. One that's ugly, raw and gritty and real. It shows the strength of love - the strength of finding the other person who actually gets you and sees through everything. Remember Tonight is a quick read told in single point of view strictly from Alanna but the honesty and openness between her and Callan you feel as if you are getting snippets from him as well. This story although short grips your heart I couldn’t put it down and found myself hating that it was over. It would be wonderful to see her continue with the secondary characters so we can continue to have a glimpse into Callan and Alanna’s future.
“Because, I want tonight with you. I want to remember tonight.”
Well I have to say I really enjoyed reading this story from beginning to ending. It held my attention through the whole book and who doesn't love a book about a sexy Bull Riding Cowboy! I would give this book a 4 star and definitely recommend it to others. This book will touch on some very prominent things teenagers go through and how they survive. Of course its steamy read so I wouldn't suggest for 18 and under. The way Chelsea writes pulls you in and you actually feel like you can be apart of the story and live what they are living. You will connect with the characters and it will get your mind reeling when the bull ride scenes come into play because god knows I might love a sexy cowboy but have no clue what bull riding is about so I was intrigued to learn a bit about it... oh and I guarantee you that you wont look at a mechanical bull again the same way.
Alanna has been counting down the days until she turns 18. Her and her best friend would flee at any moment if they could. Alanna has lived through at tragedy that has made her do things with her body that make it seem like she doesn't care about herself.. but its all a front it helps her mask the hurt and pain she lives through every day because of her loss. Her dad is very controlling and she can't wait to get away from him either. When she goes to a party one night she will find herself instantly drawn the broody Callan who doesn't know well but knows that he has been gone for a long time. When they get a little intimate she finds herself wanting more.. but a little white lie could possibly destroy everything.
Callan has been bull riding for years and is at the top of his game.. but a scandal will break and a lie will turn his life upside down. So when he returns to his home town after many years because his father became ill he will make it his mission to focus on working off his fathers debt and getting back to making a life as a bull rider again. He doesn't do relationships he doesn't have time for them with his career and he certainly doesn't trust any woman after the scandal he went through. When he meets Alanna at a party when he is drunk they will share an intimate moment together... but the next will change everything because Alanna lied to him and it will only bring him more misery than its worth.
What will happen at the end of summer? Will Callan and Alanna be able to stay away from eachother or will one night change everything?
GO get this book ASAP! You will not be disappointed! Thanks for a great story and I look forward to so much more in the future.
I absolutely loved this book. The author has away with her characters. They are flawed, but those flaws make them real. This is everyday life. Bad things happen. Emotions that we didn't know we had come to the surface. Guilt is the hardest one to live with, but how you react is what starts to define you. Allana is that person her. Guilt builds her character, but it also tears down the person you are. That's what makes this book. Allana is such a good example of what guilt, love, redemption, and reentering the real world is. She doesnt know it at first, but she challenges herself, and that it what creates a great story. Now let's not take anything away from callan. He sexy as hell, a bull rider, and has demons himself. When you think love will interfere with your lively hood, you decide to let one of them go, but what he doesn't realize is that he can have both. Such a strong guy, but he needs to find his way. This book shows the struggle of how hard life is if you don't try to fix what is broken, but when you start healing things come together. Even the secondary characters help make this book and I think that is very important to make a book. Love is this crazy thing you can't control and you shouldn't want to,but it does give you a hell of a ride. I just loved that it kept you wanting to read the whole book and not set it down until you were done.
Allana has lost and now acting out. Sleeping with people is what she does. She is trying to hide all the hurt she feels. So what happens when you go to a party, looks across a fire and sees this man that she knows is going to change things. Callan is in town for a week. Get his dads things in order and to go back to pro riding. But this party he sees this girl and things begin to change. How do you know when its real? I think this is going to be a long eight second ride.
I love this author and I would recommend her, this book, and I would read this book again. Sent from my NOOK
If she writes it I will read it and love it !! Any book every time !! I need me a hot bull riding cowboy stat !!
I will say this book is so much more than that. I have a connection with this from my past and I could feel Alanna's pain when dealing with Jackson. Been there done that , although I dealt in a different way it is never easy going through that pain at a young age. Alanna is on the verge of 18 and since she suffered tragedy at age 14 she has made quite the name for herself. It is sad to see and hear about the way she has been acting and the disrespect she shows herself and puts up with. Things are about to change for her all in the name of the older HOT BULL RIDER named Callan !! He blows back into town and all bets are off.
Callan is back home to pay off a debt for his father. He and his brothers have been off winning all kinds of bull riding competitions but now since his dad died he comes home to tie up lose ends. Alanna's father is one of them. Alanna is warned to stay away from Callan but you know how that works !! It just makes her try harder !! Once he finds out her age it seems to be a lost cause. But little by little she wears him down !! Callan isn't weak by any means , Alanna is persistent and honestly they both need that one person to make a change in their thinking and help heal them from their pasts.
Alanna and Callan are great together , wow they heat up the scenes !! Barns , hay , mechanical bulls , trucks , rain it doesn't even matter it is all good and I could re-read all of it !! In the midst of them figuring each other out they are also trying to heal and create new lives. Alanna away from home for the first time and Callan trying to find a way to have it all. There are hurdles , heartache and real life struggles but we get some HEA going on and believe me it is sweet !!
Remember Tonight is an engaging story. It grabs your attention from the first page and keeps you drawn in until the very end. You know that there are secrets to be revealed, and the author goes a great job of keeping you guessing as to what those secrets might be. When they come out, they're not what you're expecting at all, which I truly appreciate.
My favorite thing about this book? One word: Callan. It was hard not to fall for this sexy bull rider. He was such a complex character. He had moments where he came across as the biggest jerk, but had such sweet, swoon-worthy moments as well. He wanted to save Alanna from herself, and make her see that she was better than the way she has been living.
Alanna was much harder for me to like in the beginning. Her behavior is almost cringe-worthy. She basically has no self-respect, and seems to be okay with being used, and with getting what she wants, even if it's only temporary. We learn that she has suffered a big loss, and has really never gotten over it, which is one of the reasons she behaves the way she does.
Remember Tonight is a story of healing, and overcoming the pain of your past to embrace your future. I would definitely recommend.
**3.5 Stars** I really wanted to like this story. I do like the story, but I don’t care for the heroine. Maybe it’s the fact that she’s just turning 18 and she’s still very immature, or maybe it’s just that I don’t understand her motivation. What I do like in this story is the hero, Callan. Love, love, love this sexy bull rider. Smoking hot, bad-boy, cowboy, bull rider? Say no more, he’s makes for a great book boyfriend and really someone that Allana needs.
Both main characters have issues, be it promiscuity or a past. They both have things to deal with and I just didn’t care of the way that Allana handles her issues. I just couldn’t connect, but the chemistry in Remember Tonight is outstanding. I could feel the pull between Callan and Allana, and Chelsea Landon doesn’t disappoint. Oh, that freaking belt buckle.
If you like reading New Adult/Contemporary Romance/Sexy-as-sin-bull-riders then you should pick this book up. It’s not a long read, has some great sex scenes and a hero that is absolutely swoon-worthy.

"I'm never anything more than I am right now, in the arms of lairs, doing things I shouldn't and being someone I'm not. Liars who will tell me how beautiful I am, how amazing I am, how perfect I am just to satisfy their own needs. They need me for that. I'm a scratch to their itch and then forgotten until the next need arises."
Remember Tonight was such an amazing book. But i'm not surprised because everything Chelsea writes is amazing. Alanna and Callan has to be on my list of amazing characters. I love how Chelsea writes her characters with flaws. There is no fake, sweet innocent characters in her books and that is what makes this story so good. Alanna and Callan both had issues and have had things happen in their past that made them who they are today. The characters are relate-able, the story is honest and real. Simply amazing!!!!
I absolutely loved and devoured this book. Chelsea did an amazing job, a lot of hotness mixed with some humor was a great combination. I loved all the characters. Alanna I wasn't too sure if I was going to like her at first, but she won me over. Now Callan, my word he was amazing!! There relationship was filled with everything, great chemistry, some drama and angst, and a over everything love! I would definitely recommend this to everyone! I can't wait for what Chelsea has for us next!!
Holy hot cowboy!! What a fantastic story about sweet, yet oh so naughty, cowboys and the women they love!! Alanna and Callan, both Texas natives, make a wonderful story come together. What begins as an almost forbidden love affair, grows to something that neither of them expected, but both cannot live without. I loved their story, and love the dynamic of all of the characters, so I kinda hope that Jessie and Ty might have something in the works- hint, hint, Chelsea!!!
Great book full of full of emotion and passion. Alanna is a small town girl trying to deal her past, And mouth watering bad boy bull rider Callan is trying to do the same. When their paths cross the connection is instant, but is it love and will that help them move on from their pasts? Not gonna spoil it so guess you'll have to find out on your own :) I so recommend this book. Great story awesome characters and honestly who doesn't love a mouth watering bad boy bull rider!
Landon brings us a great Texas love story about a broken girl who can't wait to get away she is running from her, family, her heart, and past. She is can't wait to get out of her one horse dirt town until one night with Bull rider Callan James has her hooked up and wanting a full ride. Read and fall in love with Chelsea Landon's word.
I received this for an honest review. First I have to say that this is the first I have read from Chelsea Landon. This was an extremely enjoyable read. I really enjoyed Alanna and Callans story. It has been a while for since I have read a good cowboy book and this one made me want more!! I really enjoyed the chemistry between these two..
3 1/2 stars this book was good I enjoyed the back and forth between Alanna and Callen but there was not much angst or drama and I live for that stuff LOL but it was sweet HEA with a wee bit of angst but not much so I'm in between 3-4 stars
Loved how this author tool a story plot and made it into so much more! Love, overcoming being broken and learning to move on. Wished there were more than 5 starts to give! This book keeps you from start to end. Amazingly written!
I’ve made it no secret that I am a huge fan of Chelsea Landon. I will pick up whatever she writes purely because I know that I’ll be transported to a different world with characters that I can’t get enough of. No matter what the subject matter, I am pulled in and completely invested, and her newest novel, Remember Tonight, was no exception to this feeling!
“We both have shit we’re running from and it seems that staying in this hell hole isn’t going to make it any easier. If we don’t leave, we’ll be here forever.”
No matter what the subject matter is, Chelsea Landon creates relatable characters that inch their way under your skin. Alanna was a girl who was unable to see what it was she could offer the world, especially because she carried a mountain of guilt. From the very beginning, the reader could tell that she was a shattered girl with so much depth. She had settled for less because in her mind, that’s what she deserved. When she meets Callan, the haze she has been living in begins to fade. He is a confident, at times cocky, southern gentleman that had every intention of leaving to catch his next ride. He had been burned in the past and wasn’t quick to allow others through his wall. Something about Alanna’s charm and dedication got to him in their time together, resulting in teaching each other how to heal. I loved the journey they each went on individually, resulting in such a strong transformation from beginning to end. At the end of the day, they were able to become a compass for the other, leading them in the direction of what each deserved.
“I don’t care what they say or think. I don’t live by their rules or my dad’s. I’m living for this moment, this day, because who knows what we are promised tomorrow.”
While the romance is a big draw, Remember Tonight was about much more than a girl and a guy who fall in love; it was about learning how to accept the tragedies of our past in order to fully embrace our futures. It wasn’t until both Callan and Alanna could face their individual demons that they could actually understand the other. This piece of the story struck so strongly in my bones. I’m fairly confident that everyone, including myself, is running from something. But much like Alanna and Callan figured out, there isn’t very far we can run when we’re too busy looking behind us. This sense of honesty and realism is what I’ve come to love finding in every single one Landon’s novels.
“Because, I want tonight with you. I want to remember tonight.”
When it comes to a Chelsea Landon book, she doesn’t pigeonhole herself into one genre, or even categorization of her characters. It’s always different worlds and the cowboy in this one brought on a whole life that I don’t often read about. There are bits of comedic relief, utter romance, and a very sexy steamy factor that kept me turning the pages and not wanting the story to end. Once again, I’m utterly impressed with this author’s writing ability in Remember Tonight, and I’ll be anxiously awaiting whatever it is she comes up with next!
