Expected 14 Feb 26Where has the time gone? I can’t believe I will be turning 44 this year. Middle-aged and divorced. I’m a walking cliche. Let’s add that my Ex left me for a literal barbie doll, wreaking havoc on my self esteem which was already quite fragile.
To pull me out of my slump, my girls coerced me to join them for a night out of drinks, fun and some great music provided by a cover band called Velvet Echo. Hot young guys as entertainment, what else could you ask for? An innocent exchange of eye contact with the lead singer will prove to be anything but, guiding my life down a path I never imagined.
At first glance, Lennon seems to embody all of the delicious traits that I devour in the stories I love to read, but soon I will discover that he is so much more. That is the moment I am faced with a choice. Follow society’s expectations or take a chance and let him be my Daddy.
