A must-read for fans of EMP survival and prepper fiction.
I'm so glad I decided to try the odd prep theory of a interesting story. I actually cried! I started reading a few pages to my husband and now he wants to read it. You will enjoy the action, the frantic atmosphere of desperation and fear from the people trying to grasp what is happening.
But it should have been shortened by eliminating repetition, not only of words and phrases but of entire paragraphs. The 1st time I read a new idea I was impressed. By the third or fourth repetition I was no longer impressed. By the seventh or eighth repetition I was bored.
Maybe the future will be like this. But forever, child and parent relationships are always complicated. There may never be a time to remember how things were and what it was like to respond to the past the way we want. Yet sometimes you have a chance against all odds.
It kept my interest fairly well, yet 530 pages was a bit much. I liked that it was a standalone. It was not very realistic though. There’s luck and then there’s luck. Many things were repeated quite a bit.
Apocalypse books are entertaining and can distract you from daily problems. Action packed and constant moving story line! A great read by a great author!
