Hemingway at Starbucks: Musings from Literary Giants Sipping Lattes

Rate this book
It began as a journaling exercise for myself--could I write in the styles and voices of my favorite writers? So I began to write what I thought would be a reflection of Hemingway's voice and style. Pleased with my work, I began to think about others--Shakespeare, Austin, Wilde, Poe, Homer, etc... The results are in this book. They are my own musings and were intended for my own silly entertainment. However, if others have the same sense of humor and appreciation for literary giants, then perhaps others just might be interested in seeing this book too. Each literary giant, sitting in a Starbucks, contemplating the modern world in their own unique voice and style. Enjoy.

This book was a great read.

The author did an excellent job of expressing his concept of having classic writers describe a visit to Starbucks in their style.

He managed to keep each iteration fresh and not seem repetitive.

My favorites were Wilde and Vonnegut.

I hope to see future works from Terry Schwinge.
