Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. The guy who wrote this did a lot of research and found a lot of interesting material, but had pretty poor storytelling abilities and so what could have been a great book ended up reading more like a string of Wikipedia articles on Berkeley chemistry.
Clearly a book by a scientist written for scientists, complete with recommendations for the future of the College. Super confusing footnote system. As a history of the College, of uncertain use. As a primary source on the history of the college, fascinating and rich. Very grateful to Dr. John Arnold for the recommendation.
