Lily Goodwill is in trouble. She’s fired from her job at the Suicide Prevention Call Center. She’s drinking, doing brimstone and doesn’t care what happens.
Sebastian St. John is dying on the inside. He’s watching Lily fall apart and she won’t let him in. He’s aching to help, to love and to be by her side. Slowly. He must work slowly to win her back. If only he can keep a certain Demon out of her life.
Aidan is sick from watching his love crash and burn. So he rides the wind as any Djinn would do. It clears his head. When he isn’t expecting it, a light, so bright it could burn enters his life. What will this mean to Lilith?
Can Lily take her life back? Can she be stronger than she was? Will Queen Zoe leave them to live their lives again? Lives will be lived and lost and found in Suckers Bite Back.

Best S.F. vamps book yet!:)

I sincerely love following the group in this book. This series is beyond entertaining, and is just so much fun!
It truly is transporting to read books of this caliber. Ms. McBrayer is a wonderfully talented author who also has a terrific history of well written books. Anyone who has had to suffer through a great story with lousy editing will know what I mean, because there is a huge difference between a well written book and just a good story.
Thank you to her for sharing her talent with those of us who love this genre!! ;)

Excellent!

This was so well written! I came across this authors work due to the Audible Romance package, I'm so glad I did! I quickly worked thru the first few books there then continued my binge with the ebooks of the rest of the series and the text to speech option! I loved this authors work!

Since this was my first book in this series, I started out a bit confused. However, the author, Jessica McBrayer, really does a great job of giving you enough back story to figure out what is going on without retelling the entire previous books. I know if I have been following this series from the beginning, I would appreciate not having to re-read them all. I was able to quickly figure out the cast of characters – and boy are they characters!

This story is really about Lilith (Lily as she is known), Sebastian and Aidan working out issues they had in a previous story. Lily is a werevamp, Sebastian is a vampire, and Aidan is Djinn. Lily comes to grips with personal issues that inhibit her own growth. She learns to trust her feelings towards Sebastian and Aidan but it is a work in progress. ‘Bast and Aidan also have some growing to do and we get to follow each of their stories. Really, really good reading. Aidan’s journey continues so there is a bit of a cliffhanger-ish ending but I’m sure we’ll get to read about it soon. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion and I can honestly say I enjoyed it. You won’t go wrong by purchasing it.

Once again, Jessica McBrayer has written another exciting, hard-to-put-down story. It's #5 in this series and I've loved them all! McBrayer has a sense about her writing that is just complicated enough to keep you guessing yet not overly complicated so that you don't understand. I have found reading this series that I have appreciated the research that the author has obviously gone through in order to create believability in reading about vampires! Oh, yes, and she's a former student of mine! Nice job......
