I've learned to find beauty in brutality, to take pleasure alongside pain.
Power becomes an aphrodisiac. Trust becomes a weapon. Loyalty becomes a weakness.
When ancient blood feuds resurface and university politics turn deadly, I feel the foundations crumbling beneath us. Someone is playing a long game—and I'm no longer certain where the betrayal will come from.
They're about to learn why they call me the Red Reaper. Wrath isn't just my emotion—it's my promise.
This is a dark reverse harem contemporary romance book 2 out of 3 in a brand new series by USA Today Bestselling Author, Eve Newton. You will come across TWs so please see inside for details.
Eve is a USA Today Bestselling Author with a specialty for steamy romance with strong female leads.
She lives in the UK, with her husband and five kids, so finding the time to write is short, but definitely sweet. Eve has a number of series, both completed and on the go and hopes to release some new and exciting projects, both paranormal and contemporary in the future, so stay tuned!
Pride picks up right where Poison left off and doesn’t let you breathe for a second. Sorcha’s been taken, her men are out for blood, and St. Bart’s is more dangerous than ever. Every alliance is cracking, every secret’s coming to the surface, and everyone seems to have their own agenda, most of them deadly.
What I love about this book is how much darker and sharper it feels. Sorcha isn’t just surviving anymore; she’s adapting. Every time someone underestimates her she uses it as fuel. Ciar, Cillian and Axl are right there with her but their bond is changing too. It’s rougher, more intense, and built on loyalty that’s being tested from all sides. There’s this constant pull between love, control and survival that keeps you hooked.
The blood binding ritual was one of the most fascinating parts of the story. It fit the narrative perfectly and gave real weight to the connection between Sorcha and her men. I especially loved that she chose to marry Axl. Their relationship has always been my favorite.
Eve Newton does an insane job blending action, betrayal and heat without losing the story. The tension never drops. One minute it’s a gun to someone’s head, the next it’s pure obsession. You feel the “seven deadly sins” thread running through everything and it fits perfectly with how ruthless this world has become.
And that ending? I’m still not over it. It completely blindsided me in the best and worst way. I’m furious, shocked, and obsessed all at once and now I need book three more than I need sleep.
If Poison was the initiation, Pride is the reckoning. It’s darker, steamier and twice as savage. Sorcha’s not just playing the game anymore, she’s learning how to win it. Bring on the next book, because I’m not done living in this chaos.

Oooh where do I start. Sweet baby all that is holy book Gods!!! Firstly if you haven’t read Poison first, then stop and hold your little dark romance horses because you’re gonna need it for context. Pride picks up right where we left off. You remember that cliff hanger right? The one that left us hanging by a hangnail and we were ready to fly across the globe to figure out what in the holly monkey bells was Eve trying to do to us? Oka so, with Sorcha being taken her men are ready to rip the world apart to find her or in this case St Barts! Every secret is coming out of the closet and every bond/alliance is beginning to crack! Like our sanity! As we continue on the wild ride of St Barts and Sorcha and her Men, we discover our girl us made of tougher stuff than anyone knew! I won’t give away details because hello you need to read it but I will say there are parts of this story that bend and blend together in ways that only our Queen knows how to do. There is a perfect pull of love and spice, mixed with mystery , betrayal and of course action! Of course the ending has me once again questioning why I do this to myself but I know Eve will give us a perfect ending (atleast she better hehe) Poison is dark, it’s spicy it’s warm and in its own way inviting. However Pride, pride is its own brand of clever mastery. Buckle up smutter cups because St Barts is about to get bloodier(in the best way)!
Pride is the 2nd book in this series and it kicks off right where book 1 ended. Sorcha (FMC) finds herself stuck in the middle of lots people with their own agendas. Not all of them good. All this seemed to bring Sorcha and the guys closer together or so I thought. Plenty of great plot twists & turns, lots of steaminess and a cracking WTH cliff-hanger ending. Which completely threw me but was so bloody good. Bring on book 3 now.
Second in the trilogy and the hits just keep on coming! Literally. Sorcha and her guys seem to have to fight everyone just to be able to get through the day. Secrets and legacies abound, but who knows things they shouldn’t? And just when they think they might have the advantage, you get left on a doozy of a cliffhanger!
I have never read anything like this. The tension, the detail to everything while the story flows like a river. The characters and their growth, their love, their connection - it's everything you could ever want and more. And just when you think you might just have an inkling of what's going to happen - the author finds a cliff and throws us off it. I am STILL not ok after that cliff hanger. If any authors want a masterclass in cliff hangers then they need to read this story. Seriously, it's exquisite and I don't think I will ever be right again. Bring on the third book because this doesn't end in a hook - this ends in the mother of all hooks. Seriously this cannot be stressed enough, this book is blooming stunning. Grab it now and enjoy the rollercoasters of all rollercoasters, buckle up baby and scream if you wanna go faster!!
What did I just read!? This...this book right here was so twisted, so spicy, so action packed, and so PHENOMENAL! If you like a sassy baddie FMC, 3 psychotic sinful MMCs then this is THE book you need to read! I can't fathom or even try to explain how amazing this book was. I need more and some more after that! Definitely a must read!
I actually can't choose which MMC is my favorite, they all hit the mark for me. I am truly enjoying our FMCs character development.
Cian- love him...IYKYK!
UGHHHH this book needs to be re-read and re-read AGAIN!! I just know I missed some deep clues. Eve out did herself again! 2025 just keeps getting better and better!! I highly recommend this book and the author!! Check this shytteee out NOW!!
Man this book starts where it left off with lots of action. Sorcha is being taken and her men are fighting for her. I love the feel of the 7 deadly sins that is implied in these books. Love how strong Sorcha and her men are and the struggles that they face. We get another great book in this series that will have you on the edge of your seat and see what comes next. If you like a little dark romance and strong fmc and characters then you won't be able to put this down. Dive in and get sucked un to Sorchas world. Can't wait for more.
Whelp! This is so so good. Words can't even describe it and sing its praises I think. This starts right where the first book left so we aren't left hanging wondering what happened. Now that Sorcha was taken the guys do everything to get her back. In this case no stone is left unturned really. Love the combination of the action, the spicyness there is and mysteries to keep you happy. I can't wait for the next book really.
I kept going. I know, judging from my first review it boggles why I'd read book two and why stop so late in the book? Well, I couldn't get behind the story at all. It's a mafia version of the goonies, mystery treasure and all, with an FMC, Sorcha, who knows f*** all about the world she's trying to "make a name" in but she struts around demanding answers and people to bow to her every command like an entitled twit.
Wow, this book is action packed and twisted. If you are looking for a dark romance with psycho MMC's and a strong MFC then this is the book for you. Sorcha and her men Ciar, Cillian, and Axl are getting closer together. While everyone wants Sorcha, can her men protect her, can they stay together, or will someone else get to keep her. I can't wait for the next book!
You know, I should be used to the cliffhanger that Eve can end her books with but this one really tops that cake! I am still reeling. This is the second book in the Kings of St. Bartholomew's series which pick up right where Poison left off. Sorcha and herem have a heck of a wild ride that keeps you guessing. This is only the second book, and I can't wait for the next.
Back with Sorcha and her men and this book made my entire day. This is the second book in the series. Wow. Simply wow. The amount of action and steam kept me glued to the pages. From start to finish. Can I just say I want these guys all to myself. I really do. Absolutely loving this series. Does end on a cliffhanger. So yeah I desperately need the next book like asap. Highly recommend reading.
Um, wow. I think my brain is broken. So many twists and turns and things coming out of left field and smacking you in the face just to turn around and wave as it leaves you wanting more. So much happens in this book, that it's hard to say without giving away too much. Just know that it's hot, stabby and full of mystery.
Eve Newton shines again in book 2 of the "Kings of St. Bartholomew" series. Bonds strengthen, the danger intensifies and the 🔥🔥 between Sorcha, Ciar, Cillian and Axl jumps of the pages. I also love the relationships that are growing with Annastasia, Cian and Axl's Dad, very entertaining!
Sorcha and her men are facing new problems and enemies in Pride. But, they are facing them together. The devotion these MMC’s have for the FMC is swoon worthy.
If you are looking for a thrilling series with mystery, twists, turns and RH spice then look no further! Pride: Kings of St. Bartholomew Book 2 by Eve Newton checks all the boxes including an epic cliffhanger!!
What can I say??? This book was explosive. Sorcha and her men are "chef's kiss." The violence, spice and story line are fantastic. The cliffhanger at the end was enough to make me want to throw my phone! I need the next book, now, pretty please!!!!
Poor Sorcha. She is getting pulled in a million different directions. I want to see how this wild goose chase goes. I like this book but I feel like this is the calm before the storm. I’m hoping the next book ends in a bang.
You need to drop everything (well not if you are holding a baby, puppy or kitty-don't drop them). You need to read this book! Sorcha and her three men, Ciar, Cillian and Axl continue to have ups and downs and you are not going to want to miss this read!
-why choose -dark academia -arranged marriage -found family
This is book two of the series and im hooked. This book continues the story of Sorcha and her three guys. This book has twist and turns. With a side of romantic suspense and action.
I don’t know how Eve can mix all of my favorite things to read every time and just nail it. I’m so in love with this book! >.< spicy, twisty, unexpected. Gimmie more please!
Sorcha Gannon is back, badder than ever, and ready to make the world bleed. Pride is a dark, twisty continuation packed with mafia politics, betrayal, and our Red Reaper in full vengeful glory.
The stakes are higher, the enemies sneakier, and the plot twists? Chef’s kiss. It’s less spice, more stab the slow burn, and power games are everything.
Wrath-fueled queen and betrayal bombs for dark romance lovers who like their heroines lethal and unapologetically in charge.
