Cat has never been satisfied—not in her xenobiology work, and not in the bedroom. That’s all about to change.
The mysterious Mr. Sire invites Cat to his basement lab, with a job offer too good to refuse. But with each door Cat opens, she finds a terrifying new monster. Or… maybe they’re not so terrifying after all. Maybe these creatures can give Cat exactly what she needs.
Have you ever thought "I wonder what it would be like to become a shapeshifter so my body could accommodate increasingly larger monster schlongs and have free access to multiple supernatural species to handpick for my own personally designed orgies?"
No? Me either. Until now.
Cat lives an unful"filled"ife with these basic human schlongs. So when she is given an offer she can't refuse in the name of "Science!" she jumps head first into the opportunity. She is VERY eager to "test" each and every monster and can be very vocal and demanding. *You go Glen CoCo*
This book is 90% Smut. 10% story. And 125% "WTF did I just read?"
Read it. Just Do it. Someone else needs the image of a Centaur schlong going quite literally in one end and out the other, without killing anyone. YOU'RE WELCOME.
This Is one of the best off the wall smut I’ve read in a while. The writer is insane! How did she even think about 90% of this stuff! I couldn’t imagine half! The creativity knows no bounds. It’s a very good read if you’re into taboo, monsters, magic and sexy time 😮💨!
The writer wasted no time and jumped right into the plot! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Test Subject is easily one of the most ridiculous, entertaining things I’ve ever read, and Tami (the author) is genuinely hysterical. Her humor is so sharp and unhinged that I kept laughing mid-chapter like, “There’s no way she actually wrote that… oh wait. She did.” ("I feel like more cum than girl" is a personal fav lol)
The pacing? Impeccable chaos. Every door Kat opens is a new “surprise biology lesson,” and you truly never know what creature is waiting on the other side. The escalation is insane.
The final boss structure is honestly brilliant: she has to go in order because her body literally cannot handle skipping levels. Door 1 preps her for Door 2, which preps her for Door 3… all the way up to the Big Bad at Door 10. It’s like a monster-sex training regimen. Progression-based peril. I respect the vision.
And Kat is just out here doing her job like a pro. Clipboard in hand. Safety protocols ignored. Body being bent, stretched, and shape-shifted into configurations that aren't medically recognized (what do you mean she's being impaled and loving it?). Yet she stays committed to the work and making a difference.
In short: If you want something funny, fast-paced, a little feral, and unlike anything you’ve ever read - this is your book.
This one was… interesting. For lack of a better word. Definitely worth the read. I really enjoyed most of the smut except for that one wtf moment. If you read this I’m sure you know exactly what I’m talking about.
So much smut it was insane. It wasn’t the best writing in the world but what can you expect from a sex fest lol. Plot was alright and enjoyed how it all played out
The definition of monster smut - this is 1% plot and 99% massive penises. This book has made me realise one can ALWAYS be MORE imaginative - for example, there’s a chapter called “The Impaling” and I cannot over-emphasise how literal this title is. Unapologetically I would read this again 😂
This book is wild but boy it hit the spot 🤭 I’m usually a dark romance girl so this was actually my first monster romance and I figured, “why not, let’s see which monsters I’m into”… well goddamn 😏 I learnt some things about myself.
💦 Thoroughly enjoyed it! 💦
If you’re looking for plot or story, this one ain’t for you 😂 But I did find myself surprisingly attached to some of the characters and I’ve already started book 2 🤪
Monster Erotica 10 Monsters Huge size differences Size prepping Copious amounts of cum Long split tongue DP MFM MFMM Breeding/pregnancy HEA
I first caught wind of Test Subject back when it was exclusive to Galatea, released chapter by chapter, and I was unbelievably excited when I discovered it had been compiled into a full ebook. I’m a monster lover through and through, and I had a really good feeling about this one from the start. Monsters and spice are two very happy trigger words for me, and this book delivered on both in spectacular fashion.
I was sold immediately on the premise alone: “10 doors. 10 monsters. 10 sessions of interactive data collection.” SIGN ME UP. LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
An erotica that boldly shouts “for science!” as its driving motivation? Honestly, kudos. This is easily one of the most unhinged and genuinely entertaining reads I’ve had, and a huge part of that is the sharp, self-aware wit throughout. Cat’s inner thoughts are hilarious, feral, and weirdly relatable given the circumstances. The writing is solid, the monsters are imaginative, and while some don’t get much “screen time” (some of them aren’t exactly sentient), the ones who do absolutely make it count.
I’m a naturally curious girl, and I couldn’t wait to find out what was behind each door and what kind of monster Cat would be “studying” next. Reading this was an absolute blast. The novella strikes the perfect balance between plot and copious amounts of… spice. From start to finish, it had me in a chokehold; sometimes literally, just like Cat herself.
I was fully invested in the end goal of Cat’s data collection: helping the last and largest monster repopulate because he’s the final member of his species. The open/shared relationships that develop along the way are surprisingly sweet and feel intentional rather than gratuitous. And the progressive, video game style “boss” structure? Genius. Cat works her way through each door, leveling up monster by monster until Door 10: the final boss. The only way to be properly prepared is to go through the full gauntlet and let me tell you, the size prep training is NOT playing around.
The fact that Cat starts going feral for her boss before she’s even halfway through the doors is absolutely unhinged behavior. Girl, what do you MEAN you want him on top of everything you’re already getting? Greedy. Shameless. Relatable. Because honestly? If I were receiving maximum-level orgasms and elite training like that, I’d be feral too.
Special shout-out to the sheer creativity and imagination on display in this book. The fantastical anatomies, the outrageous scenarios, and especially the cleverly collected and crafted "potions" used to make it all possible were both inventive and wildly entertaining.
This book knows exactly what it is, commits fully, and has a blast doing it, and so did I.
🔥 BOTTOM LINE: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 🔥 If you love monster erotica, unapologetic spice, creative setups, gaming-style progression, and a heroine who leans all the way in to the madness, Test Subject is a must-read. Unhinged, hilarious, inventive, and deeply entertaining, this one earned every single one of its five stars.
Overall, Test Subject is unhinged, extremely spicy, and self-aware in the best way. If you love depraved monster sex and a heroine who fully commits to the madness, this one is absolutely worth your time.
Test Subject is a short, fast-paced fantasy novel that blends dark romance, smut, and magical experimentation into one wild ride. The story follows Cat, a xenobiologist who accepts a mysterious position in an underground laboratory. Behind ten doors await ten different supernatural beings—an incubus, a djinn, centaurs, and more—each encounter pushing her further into a world of impossible desires and dangerous magic.
The premise is bold: Cat must engage with each creature in turn, ultimately facing a dragon whose survival depends on her willingness to mate and secure the continuation of his species. The book spans just over a week in Cat’s life, told across 18 chapters, and focuses tightly on her daily research tasks and the increasingly intense, fantastical encounters she experiences.
This is not a story for the faint of heart—it revels in the bizarre, the erotic, and the downright impossible. But that’s also its charm. If you enjoy short novels packed with fantasy creatures, magical settings, and unapologetically smutty scenarios, Test Subject delivers exactly that. It’s quick to read, imaginative in its creature design, and unafraid to dive headfirst into dark romance territory.
For fans of fantasy, magic, and unconventional romance who don’t mind things getting a little outrageous, this book is a fun, indulgent escape.

Door 8?? had to cross my eyes to get through that part because I refuse to believe that that’s what I was reading, lol. The little bit of storyline that I tried to follow just showed her going along with anything her irritation or hurt with Des at the beginning was a bit unfair though. I did skim/skip over the part in the pool with the pink blob. Once I realized what was happening. But then having to deal with the dragon sons, who weren’t her sons like what ? Then deciding to go get the other monsters, I’m like WTHECK!! Ma’am everything is loose down there LOL!, Am I wrong for being disappointed at her experience with Richard?? LOL!! If it would’ve just ended with Des and a little bit of epilogue at the end, it would’ve been ok. But it kind of lost the little plot it had when they extended it. This isn’t even half of it, but it’s some, lol

I just read the book and the other reviews here and I completely understood why so many people praise it. It’s chaotic, entertaining, and full of wild monster-fantasy moments that kept me turning the pages. I loved how unpredictable it was. Every time you think I know what will happen next, a new “door” brought something surprising and fun. The book absolutely delivers on the spicy, bizarre energy readers talk about. At the same time, I personally enjoy stories that have a bit more depth and world-building. While the book was a great, guilty-pleasure read, it didn’t fully satisfy my craving for a richer plot. Still, I genuinely enjoyed the ride and would recommend it to anyone who wants something bold, fast, and outrageous!
And i was taking a look around, so I decided out of curiosity to choose Test Subject because of the cover. I do like tentacle monsters, but I was not prepared for the amount of monster ding dongs in this story.
First, it was the incubus, and i was like yay i love a story with demons, Next, it was the djinni Then it was a werewolf Pixie Ogre Stonetroll Centaur......and more.
All I've got to say is if you want a story full of monster ding dong well, pick this one up!
It was entertaining, crazy but entertaining. I was shocked for most of it and mind you, I am no stranger to monster romance. I guess I just wanted more romance. Thanks for leaving me, blushing, and shocking. ●
The book was well written, and if u like fantasy sex with gigantic cocks (unrealistically) (which is the point since its a human having sex with mystical creatures) and it’s consistent too, every chapter is a new sexcapade with mystical beasts. For me it was a bit much & at times a bit yuck, not enough to bother me though. Deffinetly not a book for close minded people or people who are very modest (mentally).
I guessed the ending probably mid book, it was pretty easy to see where it was going in that way (not bad though, just no surprise endings) and im glad I was right.
Entertaining for sure, with absolutely no regard for anatomy. I love the hilarity and ridiculousness of it all. But it was a little disappointing to see the love not combine with the science of it all at the end. Emotionally I just felt a major slap in the face that after having risked her life to bring his offspring into the world, he then went on to ensure that she isn’t genetically their mother at all just so she can procreate with them later as well. But it’s fiction and the main point was obviously the smut so it is what it is.

Actually interesting story, but I love RH & Monsters 💙💙💙💙 A nice mix of Monsters and their “features”, tricks, and perks 😈 My favs were 1, 2, 4, 8, and absolutely number 10, but if I had to only one to keep… it would be number 2 💙💋💙 There was a few oddball, WTF, or bits needing editing, otherwise 😈🍆🍑🥚💙🔥💋🐺 🖋️I enjoyed the writing and descriptions of the monsters and the insanity of the sexcapades 🥵 Book #1 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (FYI: 📖Read on Galatea but wasn’t too annoying as short chapters/book, and it stayed steady at 6hrs for each chapter to be released)
I read this book in two days! it started as just a curiosity... and developed into sooo much more. I wish it was longer and that Cat would have had more experiences and time to get to know all of the monsters or more of them. The only obvious point was that Mr. Des Sire was the final mythical monster... I wasn't expecting him to be a dragon but it made sense
My favorite monster passion scenes 😏😉 The Djinni 🧞♂️ The Minotaur 🐎(which 100% took me by surprise, NVR thought would do it for me) The Succubus 👹 The Pixies 🧚🏽♂️
the rest had hit moments but those were my favorite

Let's be real everyone wants to know about the monster stuff, and I can assure any interested reader that the spicy scenes in this book are earth-shattering, unhinged, wild romps of pure delight. I mean, there are acts described in this book that even a seasoned smut reader would be blush. There's a chapter called "The Impaling" that has changed my brain chemistry. But insane spice is not the point of my review--I am here to talk about how magic works in this series. Without giving any of the plot away, this book treats magic not like an outside force or something innate to a person, but rather treats it like a virus. Magic is something that can be acquired through physical contact and (like a cold or flu) presents slightly different in each person. I was quite frankly blown away at the creativity here--it takes something so basic to fantasy world building and opens it up completely. The world building that this implies and builds on keeps readers engaged and intrgued, on top of just being there for the monster sex. TLDR: Come for unhinged monster realtions, stay for the most innovative magic system.
It is…. different, but somehow similar to watching a train wreck it had me enthralled…. And it’s odd because nothing about the random and weird activities in this book would be remotely appealing had they not been presented how they were…. Had you not got to know Cat as an unfulfilled woman seeking something to fill the emptiness inside of her that was never quenched by the normal cures.
I read this on Galatea and it was really good! I wish there was more plot though, but good nonetheless! I’m reading the second book now.
Definitely be careful of the triggers though, cuz there is one chapter that can be really triggering to some… if you figure out the chapter tho, u can skip over it without it effecting the quality of the book.
The main character gets SAed and acts like it was completely fine. In the end it talks about her potentially ‘mating’ with what are basically her children (except they don’t have her dna?? She gave birth to them though?). Also the author has no idea how female anatomy works my bet is this is written by a man or most likely Ai. Overall disgusting and definitely not worth the read.
