Power. Loyalty. Temptation.

As president of the Grave Prowlers MC’s Wisconsin chapter, Bone built his empire on control. Every move calculated. Every decision is final. But when Hazel walks into his world, all that control starts to crack. She’s bold, beautiful, and dangerous in a way he can’t ignore. One taste of her makes him question the one rule he’s never never mix club business with pleasure.

I love the first story in a new series. All of the mysteries and the start of the drama. Bone and Hazel are just right for each other.

This story kept me intrigued from start to finish. The mystery and danger surrounding this MC kept building in this first book of Winter’s new series. Bone and Hazel complement each other well. I really like them as a couple. The way they came together was perfect for them. I absolutely adore Pink, Bone’s mom, she has the best personality and I love her special relationship with Hazel. She could be my neighbor anytime. The banter between Pink and Hazel and Pink and the club is the best. The relationship Bone has as the Prez with the guys in his club is awesome too. I laughed out loud a lot during this story especially when she got them all cleaning. You can tell Bone is close to his mom and that makes me smile. Such a fantastic start to this series that’s filled with suspense, drama and love. Bone may not have been looking for his forever but if he has his way Hazel will definitely be his choice! I can’t wait for the next book!

This was so different to everything I’ve read in MC.
The prez was a man of little words, but when he meets his mother’s new neighbour, he’s enthralled. He doesn’t understand it but the story is actually more club based. The romance seems to be a sub story and it didn’t really take up many chapters which is what made it so different.

It was cute that the relationship wasn’t cliche, it had no labels and I loved that.

The ending was very unfinished and I assume it’s because the story will continue in the next book so I will be waiting for that one. The banter in this book is next level.

Unfortunately, this one didn't really work for me, and the biggest issue was something I was already noticing halfway through the book: I simply never became invested in the relationship between Hazel and Bone.

For a large portion of the first half, they barely spend any meaningful time together. They have a few interactions here and there, rarely alone and often incredibly brief, so I kept waiting for the story to give me something that would make me understand the growing attraction and connection between them. Instead, very little actually happens between them before their relationship suddenly becomes physical.

I don't necessarily need a slow burn, but I do need some kind of emotional foundation, and I never really found it here.

The dialogue was another major issue for me. Almost every conversation is made up of incredibly short sentences—sometimes only a few words at a time—and after a while, it started to feel almost robotic. It creates a very particular rhythm that might work for some readers, but for me, it made it incredibly difficult to feel any emotion coming from the characters.

And unfortunately, that remained an issue throughout the entire book.

That being said, the humor absolutely worked for me. There are some genuinely funny interactions, and Hazel in particular was probably my favorite part of the book. She's very much a takes-no-shit kind of heroine, and I loved that about her.

I also think Hazel is actually a really good match for Bone. She doesn't expect him to suddenly become someone he isn't, nor does she need constant reassurance or demand that they immediately define whatever is happening between them. There is something refreshingly uncomplicated about the way she accepts him and their relationship.

The problem is that while I could understand why they worked together on paper, I never really felt it.

There simply wasn't enough emotion or relationship development for me to become attached to them as a couple. By the end, their romance almost felt secondary to everything happening around them.

Surprisingly, I was much more invested in the mystery and the overall plot. That was what actually kept me reading because I wanted answers and wanted to see how everything would come together.

The MC itself also remained more in the background than I expected. The members are mostly involved in connection with the mystery rather than through a strong focus on the club and brotherhood. I did enjoy the glimpses we got of them, though—their interactions were funny, and I actually wish we'd gotten more of that dynamic.

Ultimately, there were elements I enjoyed. Hazel was great, the humor worked, and the mystery held my attention. But when I'm reading an MC romance, I want the relationship to be one of the things I'm most invested in—not something that feels like it's happening in the background.

I needed more conversations, more connection, more development and, above all, more emotion.

Equal Parts Hilarious and Thrilling: The Grave Prowlers MC Delivers!

What a wild ride Ms. Travers gives us in Bone’s Choice, the explosive first book of the Grave Prowlers MC (WI & MN) series! This well-written storyline delivers high-octane action, plenty of laughs, and gripping suspense.

Ms. Travers completely nailed the characters:
Bone: The ultimate alpha club President who demands total control.
Pink: Bone's bossy, stubborn mother who keeps everyone on their toes and is a total riot.
The MC Brothers: Alpha male tough guys who reveal a surprisingly hilarious side.
Hazel: A headstrong, independent heroine who takes life in stride and brings a sharp, laugh-out-loud wit. From the moment she moves to Wisconsin after inheriting her aunt’s house, she proves she can give as good as she gets—no matter who she's facing. You can't help but fall in love with her, especially as she builds chemistry with Bone and the club.

The story balances humor with real danger. The club operates a legitimate coffin-manufacturing business—with a lucrative side hustle shipping concealed firearms inside select models. But when one of their custom coffins is returned containing an unexpected body, the club goes into overdrive. Someone is sending a deadly message, leaving Bone scrambling to uncover who is behind it, why they're targeting the club, and who the body belongs to before everything he loves burns down.

While it doesn't end on a traditional cliffhanger, it leaves you with an absolute "OH MY GOSH, WHAT NEXT?" moment. Grab this series opener as soon as possible—you won't regret it!

OMG! I could not stop reading. Hazel is hilarious! She's like the next Meg and Alice without most shenanigans, at least so far. Loved her.
Hazel moves from Ohio to Wisconsin; unsure where she is in life but now owns a house and ready to start fresh. Meeting Pink, her neighbor brings her radar to Pink's son; Bone. Bone is the president of the Grave Prowlers MC. Living at the end of the road that both Pink and Hazel live on, the MC has their business of casket making and other things.
Bone is a serious man, he has a lot going on and likes things on his terms. He doesn't chase but finds himself doing that in a way. Hazel is Hazel, taking everything in stride and no drama. Trouble in the form of bodies in caskets (sounds normal, right but it's not) and mystery sets in with no ending.
Love the witty conversations, Hazel is fast thinking and ready with a come back. The whole MC is great. I can't wait to find out more about each member. Taco is hilarious. Ready, ready for more! Winter hit this out the park for a new series!

Bone's Choice is the first book in the Grave Prowlers MC and this one is a little more gritty than previous MC romances by this author. Don't take that as a negative in anyway as it was refreshing with a new series and a slightly different storyline. However, this author does not disappoint as she still manages to incorporate her laugh out loud moments and her quirky characters in what is a more MC driven storyline. There is still romance, passion and chemistry along with a side of heat to go with the suspense, drama and secrets. The story progresses giving us a little insight into all the members, however it is focused mainly on the Prez of the MC, Bones and the woman Hazel that he just can't seem to walk away from. You will find this story has you on the edge of your seat as you try to figure out along with the characters what is happening and who is responsible. The ending will leave you with more questions than answers but one thing is for sure Bone and Hazel are a thing.

Bones is the President of The Grave Prowlers MC, whose clubhouse is located 2 miles from his mums house. Hazel moves in next door to Pink ( Bone’s mum ), they have an instant connection. Then things start happening and the MC is stumped about the how and why.
Queen Winter has done it again. This new series is brilliant, it’s got mystery, intrigue, action, romance, comedy, all the components of a great story. I am so excited for the second book to come out. I highly recommend you read this book, and I give it 5 stars 🌟

Bone's and Hazel's story is a slow burn story that makes you understand what its like to be torn because you don't know what you are feeling or doing. I loved the story because of this.
Even though there is club business to be handled they still find ways to enjoy each others company. Club business is something that Hazel doesn't understand that well she is learning quickly with the troubles within the club.
I absolutely loved Pink, she made the story even funnier. The club brothers added to the comedy within the book.
Five stars for this one Winter. Thanks for a lovely book.

Amazing banter throughout this whole book. Hazel inherits a house from an Aunt she never knew and moves across country with everything she owns. She not looking for anything just seeing how the new place goes…she finds so much more than she ever expected in the way of friendships, and chemistry with her fabulous neighbors son. He just happens to be president of the local MC the Grave Prowlers. This one comes with so many good things. The character development is fantastic and they are so freaking funny! It does leave you in a bit of a cliffhanger I’m looking forward to book

Club Prez Bone doesn’t do relationships, so is taken by surprise when he falls for his mum’s new neighbour Hazel.

The club owns a cemetery and their business is to make and distribute coffins. They are all in shock when one is returned to sender.

A fantastic start to this new Grave Prowlers MC, Wisconsin series, it’s full of mystery, suspense, great characters, twists and an ending that has left me waiting impatiently for the next book.

A new series that starts off with a bang. I loved that this was the Prez's story, Bones. It was a fantastic read. I was drawn in from the first few pages. Hazel was the perfect match for Bones. These two characters complimented each other perfectly. And this book had me flipping the pages, needing more and wanting more of this story. It's an on the edge of your seat kind of read. Once it has you hooked you're not going to put it down till you finish it. I can't wait to see where the series is going to go next.

I love the dynamic between Bone and Hazel. I love that this was the first book in the series. The funniest thing is that the first character to grab my attention was Pink! Anyways, I am really excited to see what happens with this MC and where the books will go. This first book just got me so excited for everything to come! Nothing like a bunch of hot hardcore bikers to really rev your engine but you add in a good storyline and you are golden! Winter Travers never disappoints!!

Wow what a great start to a series! Bone is the president of the Grave Prowlers MC. Life is amazing and all is good. One drop from the trucks and life when down hill fast. Hazel had a surprise when she found out her aunt left her a home. She decided why not and packed up her life and moved. Bone came over to check on his mom and found her at the new neighbors house and sparks few before she turned around.

excellent read

Hazel has a home left to her by an Aunt she has never met, in another state. She packs up and gets on the road to her new home. Her neighbor is Pink, who is the mom of Bones, who is president of his club. There are some twists and turns. I highly recommend this.
