When I climbed into bed with the gorgeous biker from the bar, I didn’t know he was the VP of the West Coast’s most dangerous motorcycle club.
Or that I was accidentally getting caught up in a war.
Not until one night of bliss led to two pink lines on a pregnancy test.
Now I’m at Hayes Roman’s doorstep, asking him to protect his baby from my family. The same family that is trying to destroy his club.
Hayes is a flirt. He’s reckless. A heartbreaker.
The only commitment he’s ever made is to the patch on his chest.
But when he holds our daughter, I can’t help feeling like he’s ours. And when he touches me, all I want is to be his.
Hayes will do anything to keep us safe. He’ll go to battle if it means protecting us. But Hayes has no problem breaking the rules, and if I’m not careful, he might also end up breaking my heart.
Author's Note: Soul is a dark, surprise baby MC romance with a morally grey hero, heavy subject matter, mature content, and explicit scenes. Content/TWs (which contain spoilers) can be found on author's website. 18+ Standalone with HEA guaranteed
Eva Simmons is a contemporary and fantasy romance author, writing heartbreakingly dangerous love stories and falling for the anti-hero in all of them. When Eva isn’t dreaming up new worlds or devouring every book she can get her hands on, she can be found spending time with her family, painting a fresh canvas, or playing an elf in World of Warcraft.
Eva is currently living out her own happily ever after in the Midwest with her family.
Safety manwhore in the previous books, also quite a few dialogues for him about it. Luckily didn't have to see much of it in his book. (in highlights.) Virgin h. They met on New Years eve and had a one night stand. Neither were with others after meeting. From previous books (chaos') we were shown the other guys were wondering why he wasn't with anyone since NYE but we also saw Soul still be flirty, just never taking the women up on the advances. 10 month separation I'm not a fan of the ONS pregnancy trope. However he was celibate, and spent the 10 months searching for her without knowing she was pregnant. I also didn't like that he has 'been known as an exhibitionist' and then she said she wanted to try new things so she also does it infront of the club right after a club girl(reina) tries to tell her that hes always gonna like that. Idk I just don't like that. My biggest problem with this series is maybe that Reina is still there. (I'm at 77% so if that changes YAY, But I doubt it. I'm only writing this early because I'm on my computer.)
This was everything I wanted from the final book and so much more.
Hayes and Emery were such an easy couple to fall for, and I loved how a one night stand, a surprise baby, and plenty of danger brought them back together. Their chemistry was instant, but what kept me invested was how naturally they became each other’s safe place. From the moment Charlie entered the picture, I was completely attached to their little family.
Seeing a completely different side of Hayes was easily my favorite part of this book. Beneath all the reckless biker energy was a man who loved with his whole heart. Watching him step into fatherhood without hesitation and support Emery as she found the confidence to build a life on her own terms made their relationship incredibly satisfying. Emery’s growth was just as rewarding, and I loved seeing the Twisted Kings and the old ladies welcome her and Charlie with open arms. The found family dynamic remains one of my favorite parts of this series.
The romance, suspense, and action were balanced so well, and the final conflict delivered the payoff I’d been waiting for. While this wasn’t quite my favorite book in the series, it was a heartfelt, emotional finale that gave these characters the ending they deserved.
If this is the end of the Twisted Kings, they truly went out on the highest note.

Huge thank you to Eva Simmons and The Author Agency for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨
I am so thankful that I started this series when it was rec’d to me because I really enjoy MC romances and I really enjoy when they’re not pitch-black dark. There are elements inherent to the MC culture that will always make these stories range from darkish to pitch-black-dark, the choice is up to the author. This series as a whole has been steady in its darkness leaning more towards the light than not. Anywho, I appreciate that and it’s going to make it easier when I get my hands on the audiobooks and binge from the beginning!
Hayes aka Soul and Emery had a bang meet-cute (it sounds ridiculous to phrase it like that for an mc hook-up but *shrug*) that will change their lives forever, unbeknownst to them both. I really like that when they met, it wasn’t just a “wham-bang” kind of situation. I like that they sorta got to know each other a bit and laughed and made memories and I’m really glad for the last scene before “present day”. It was adorbs and thinking of an MC member doing that just gave me the giggles!
I also appreciate how the end of the series (but not the Twisted Kings) was also the end of a rivalry that has haunted the MC from the beginning. It’s one of those “full circle” situations that I appreciated it a lot. For that reason alone I shall repeat myself in saying these stories are not standalones and to fully enjoy them you should start at the beginning.
I can’t wait to see what Eva has up her sleeve for Venom and the Texas chapter of the MC! There’s nothing better than bikers, ranchers and cowboys coming head-to-head! Feel me?! LOL
What to Expect: Dark MC Romance One Night Stand Surprise Baby Falling for the Enemy Insta-Lust Found Family
We are back in Las Vegas with the Twisted Kings and I never want to leave this family. Eva has continued to deliver banger after banger in this dark MC romance and I cannot get enough. While most of the brother's have found their old ladies, this time around it's Soul's turn.
Soul has been looking for something for the last several months. Several of his brothers have noticed his drives lately, but so far his search has been fruitless. That is, until Emery shows up at the clubhouse doors and she's not alone. She has a newborn with her and she needs Soul's help.
Soul is the reckless golden retriever with a protective streak and I ate it up. I love how protective he is and how he fell for Emery. I love how Emery helped soften Soul's edges and how he gave her the space to finally find out who she wanted to be after years of imprisonment. I also especially loved how Soul fell for baby Charlie. Seeing him with his daughter had me melting and giddy.
The suspense and the final battle the Twisted Kings face with their rival was intense and had me turning the pages anxious to see what happens. And throughout all the battles they faced, the family came together and helped each other. The relationships between all the men and women is perfection.
Thank you so much to Eva and The Author Agency for the early copy of Soul! I am so excited to see what comes next with Venom!
Soul by Eva Simmons was an absolute wild ride. Wrapping up storylines that have been building for years, it was the perfect conclusion to the Twisted Kings series.
I’ve loved every book in this series. Each couple felt unique, with compelling storylines that kept me invested from start to finish. Eva Simmons has done an incredible job making every relationship feel distinct while still weaving them together into one unforgettable series.
Emery and Hayes (Soul) were definitely fighting for my top spot. Their instant chemistry was undeniable, and I loved how naturally they fit together. Getting to see a completely different side of Soul than we had in the previous books added so much depth to his character and made their relationship even more satisfying.
The spice was scorching, the characters were unforgettable, and the emotional moments landed perfectly. I’m already impatiently waiting to see what Eva Simmons writes next!
I was not expecting to love Soul so much but he rivalled Legacy for me (which is hard because THAT MAN!).
Soul has been shown off as a playboy. Many different women but no commitments. He puts his club first even when it’s reckless, he pushes the boundaries. However one look at Emery and he was gone. He waited 10 months to find her again and that alone made me swoon.
Soul is devoted to Emery and Charlie from the first time she steps foot in the club house. He gives them everything he has whilst also trying to give them space so Emery doesn’t feel trapped like she did with her uncle. I loved that he communicated even when that wouldn’t feel 100% natural to him with his family background. He told Emery exactly what he thought in their moments and damn it was so good!
Emery was a great FMC! She stood by for too long watching the evil that her uncle threw onto the world and when she gets her strength and her mumma bear senses comes out, she is fierce!!! She will do whatever it takes for Charlie.
I’m so sad this series is over but I cannot wait to head to Texas with Venom
I read this book much faster than I wanted to. I fell in love with Emery, this is a side to Hayes we have yet to see, together they were one. They each provided what the other was missing. To see Hayes settle, to love his girls. The way Emery was accepted by the club and the old ladies helped her to see she had made the correct choice. Found family has always been a strong part of this series.
The suspense and action was just enough and we resolved a lingering conflict. I am ready to see what the author brings us next.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
I didn’t want this series to be over with. I have loved this series since I first read Steele and this is one MC series that will always be top tier for me. Emery and Soul were everything I could have hoped for in ending the series. I kept wishing throughout the books for Soul’s book and I’m just so happy he got is HEA.
I can say without a shadow of a doubt if Eva Simmons writes it, I’m going to read it simply because every book she writes, the one liners and descriptions, are pure poetry. Sometimes when I read her books, all I keep saying is, “what do you mean?” because its that beautiful.
Another thing that is guaranteed is a found family. Like I said before, I’ve been reading this series since Steele and the building of this MC and the girls in these books were absolute chef’s kiss. I will never be over these women being there for one another.
Emery and Hayes (Soul) story was so freaking good, I read it in one sitting because I needed to know all the things. That’s also why I’m mad at myself, I didn’t savor it. These two are opposites of the same coin. They both need each other, in so many ways. And add in baby Charlotte, I was melting. Surprise/secret baby will always be up there for tropes for me. I love the connection of the child that both parents have. And for this big biker to be gentle with a baby, swooning.
Thank you to Eva Simmons and The Author Agency for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Tropes: ✨Dark MC Romance ✨ One Night Stand ✨ Surprise Baby ✨ Falling for the Enemy ✨"My Wife" ✨ Found Family ✨ His Kink is Her
4.5 Not my usual read but very romantic and sexy He has a past , he explains that too much but you don’t see it, he’s celibate since meeting her even when they’re not together
Mm mm MMMMMMM I am sad this series is over! Hayes (Soul) and Emery were the perfect ending chapter to the Twisted Kings world. Soul, you have been promoted to the number 2 spot (Steel is still number 1 sorry). Everything about Hayes and Emery’s relationship was just so fckin good, had me giggling and kicking my feet. Hayes’ willingness to be all in was so hot, and I loved that Emery finally found a place that felt like home where she had people to call family.
. . . .
Thank you to The Author Agency for the arc opportunity!
I already had a soft spot for Soul but he was even more perfect than I expected. This guy might be called chaotic but he is also the most respectful, caring, hot and protective biker ever! I loved him. Emery and Charlie are lucky with a guy like that, but Emery deserved it after what she had been through. I loved their little family and the glimpses we got of the entire Twisted Kings Family. Sad the series is over but excited for what is coming next..
Before I get stuck in, I need to own up, Twisted King's MC was my gateway to MC romance having come sideways from Mafia as my indulgence of choice.
Soul has been a live wire, popping up as the fxkboy, often reckless, VP throughout the Twisted Kings series. Soul presents as intuitive in the overall business of the MC but sensory seeking when off the clock. I've been looking forward to him finding the woman to curb his playboy ways. Emery was not the package I expected. A surprise baby? Always a chance with the lifestyle, I guess, but Emery and her ties to the villainous Rick Zane was tidy to say the least. I very much enjoyed that the storytelling motif leaned on the princess in the tower. Yet, Emery is her own hero and Soul/Hayes supports her at each step.
My gripe is the first 40% or so i felt we were dropped into the narrative. Not often I want an extra 50pages but Soul, Emery and Charlie could have carried them easily. I would have liked more of Soul well, soul searching. Having read Chaos (#5) and Havoc (#4) the timeline made sense but if you hadn't, the time Soul spent looking for Emery between New Years and her arrival at the clubhouse didn't carry quite the emotional punch it might have.
I was a little thrown by the portrayal of an isolated new mum in the world. I'd eat up any opportunity to amplify the hurt/comfort trope and the bad boy brought to knees by a baby scenes. The tropes were there but I was begging for more.
I loved seeing Venom stepping up and knowing in my waters that he will be the vanguard for the next series was tantalising.
I've loved The Twisted King's and knowing this is the end is sad. But I am clipped in and ready to go for the beginning of the next adventure, the Lanceleaf Valley Series.
With huge thanks to the author, Eva Simmons and The Author Agency for the opportunity to read this eARC ahead of publication.

💋Dramatic Thoughts💋
The last book in the Twisted Kings series and possibly the one I was the most excited for!! First and foremost, I love how tight Soul and Chaos are..but also how he’s insanely close with Steel too!! The found family bond that these guys all have is one of my favorite elements in this series and it shined so brightly in the 6th and final installment of the Twisted Kings series!!
What do you mean this perfect burly specimen of a man rode around Las Vegas for MONTHS looking for traces of our girl, Emery!?! I adored these two together from the start and the fact that not only did she get pregnant with his baby, but she showed up with the baby looking for protection!?! And my guy Soul just took her in, trusted her without hesitation and care for her and the baby immediately?! I mean come on!! I was a PUDDLE 🫠
I’m so sad this series is over! This was an easy 5 star read for me and I can’t wait to read Venom’s book!! I’ll forever be obsessing over the Twisted Kings!!
Obsessed from the start. I’ve loved this series from the first book. I loved seeing Soul and Emery connect from the first look at one another and seeing them be parents is everything. I loved seeing everyone from past books and how they are doing. I loved all the action, heartaches, laughter, spice, and family that came throughout the book. The ending was amazing and I can’t wait for the next one
Oh Soul! How you are so down bad when you find your girl! Even if she is the lost off limits you can get.
Soul and Emery meet and have a Wednesday night. The she disappears; only to turn back up with his baby!! And she is the enemy’s niece. How much more complicated can it get?! But souls knows his family whne he sees them. And he refuses to let her go for anyone!!
It was fine. Controversial — but Secret baby is my fave trope tbh I hate Mc books though. I come from an Mc family so I’m overly critical about everything and a lot of it makes me cringe.
I love being back with this MC family, and every book just makes me love them even more.
This one has a surprise baby, an age gap, found family vibes, and an MMC who is completely obsessed with the FMC… honestly, what more could you want? 🤭
I really enjoyed watching Hayes and Emery’s relationship develop. The chemistry between them was so good, and I loved how protective and devoted he was. He would have done absolutely anything for her, and I am such a sucker for an obsessed MMC.
I loved seeing Hayes and Emery navigate everything together. There were plenty of sweet moments mixed in with the steam, which made their relationship feel even more genuine.
While this wasn’t my favourite in the series, I still had a great time reading it and couldn’t put it down. If you’re already invested in the Twisted Kings world, this is definitely one you won’t want to miss.
✨ARC review✨ i say this will my full chest, this is one of my favorite series and i’m highly emotional that it’s over but thank god for Eva for keeping us on the Twisted Kings ride all the way to Texas with Venom 🙂↔️
Hayes and Emery were the perfect ending to this series! cause what do you mean Soul accidentally got the niece pregnant of their biggest rival who’s constantly trying to take them down?! but that’s exactly how this goes and Soul is as down so bad for Emery that he spent close to a year searching high and low for his girl of one night, only for her to walk onto the compound with a newborn 🤭
once they’re reunited and figure out what the hell is going on, Hayes becomes the best dad to little Charlie, Emery gets a gaggle of women to be her best friend and they love happily ever after with some insane sexual chemistry 🥵 and obviouslyyyy, some violence thrown into the mix, cause it’s a MC romance
if you haven’t read this series, i’m begging you to start! it’s now complete and it’s perfect 😭
I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the Twisted Kings MC series by Eva Simmons, with Soul as the last book, but learning about the spin-off makes me less sad. This series has been a favorite since I read the first book, Steel, and Soul is no different. It’s finally the VP’s turn to find his HEA. He meets his match when he meets Emery one night at a casino. They have an ONS, and afterward, he can’t stop thinking about her and is determined to find her again. Even with Ghost’s help, he can’t find the girl who changed his heart. When she shows up at his club one night unannounced, not alone, with a baby girl who looks just like him, Soul’s life is about to change forever. This is especially true when he realizes who she’s related to and why she’s there. Nothing will stop him from being with her and his daughter, not even his club, who don’t trust her at first. First, though, he has to deal with the person she’s running from, especially when he understands why he couldn’t find her before.
I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t believe Soul, known as a ladies’ man and the man Steel relies on to get things done, ends up a family man. He never expected it either, and if you read the series, you know why. He didn’t have a great upbringing because of his father. This dangerous man becomes different in this book, and I loved reading about his gentler side. But he will do anything to protect someone he loves, and he proves it often. I loved the scenes with him and his daughter, Charlie, because they melted my heart, just like they did for Emery.
I really liked Emery’s character and felt for her, especially after learning what she has dealt with since losing her parents. She’s been used and controlled by the family member who took her in after her parents died. When she ends up with Soul, she finds a true family not only with him but with his club, which will do anything to protect her. She seems meek at first, but toward the end, another side of Emery appears, surprising Soul. I loved how she fought back for herself and her daughter because she was fed up and didn’t want to be a victim anymore.
Soul and Emery’s relationship is memorable not only for how they met and how steamy it was but also for how protective they were of each other. Emery brought out Soul’s gentler side, and Soul brought out Emery’s strength. They were truly meant to meet in that casino that night. I’m happy Soul found someone to love and Emery found a family, even if the club didn’t trust her at first.
What I loved most about this book is the closure Emery gets with the person who has been controlling and threatening her. The Twisted Kings MC also finally has closure with the antagonist targeting them for a while. It’s about time that person is handled because the Twisted Kings deserve some peace, at least for a little while, with their loved ones.
The twists and turns in this book were predictable at times but still enjoyable. Overall, another fantastic read in this dark, suspenseful, and steamy Twisted Kings MC series, and I give it 4.5 stars. I look forward to the spin-off series, which will head to a small town. I’m ready for it. Venom finally gets his HEA too, and I can’t wait.
Standalone or Part of Series: Each book is an interconnected standalone in the Twisted Kings MC series. As someone who has read them in order, I highly recommend reading in order.
POV: Dual POV (First Person)
Would I recommend this book/series? Yes. If you are looking for a Motorcycle Club Romance series full of danger and suspense, with MC members falling hard and being very protective of their ladies, then check out the Twisted Kings MC series.
(One other thing is I loved a certain character from the Twisted Roses series appearing in this book. I’ve missed the characters from that series and loved how this person played a role in this book. If you haven’t read the Twisted Roses series, I highly recommend it. It’s one of my favorite series from Eva Simmons because it’s centered in a tattoo parlor, and the MMCs in that series are just as protective of the ladies as the Twisted Kings MMCs are of their ladies. Seriously, go read it now if you haven’t!)
What to Expect: 🖤Motorcycle Club Romance 🖤One Night Stand 🖤Surprise Baby 🖤Falling for the Enemy 🖤Found Family
I received a complimentary copy of the book from The Author Agency. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
5 stars for Hayes Roman and his freckles, Emery Roman and their adorable baby girl Charlotte Roman 🖤 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Don't mind me over here just bawling my eyes out that my favorite MC series is over 😭. Nothing I ever read will compare to the Twisted Kings MC series, it is the ultimate MC series. This series will always have a special place in my heart. I teared up so many times while reading Soul. I have been waiting for this man since he was first introduced in Steel. And God was I blown away. Hayes and Emery have both stolen my heart and I want them to keep it forever.
Emery Zane has never had the ability to choose anything she wanted. Being raised by her horrible uncle, Rick Zane, has left her with zero autonomy in her life and on top of that, he now plans to use her for his own personal gain. However, this all changes on New Year's Eve night. She decides to take a chance and sneak out for one last night of true freedom. She finds herself at a casino, close to midnight and in the arms of one of the most dangerous men in Las Vegas.
Soul aka Hayes Roman is the V.P. for the Twisted Kings MC, Las Vegas chapter. Soul is reckless, living everyday as if it's his last. There are only two things he cares about: protecting his club and f**king whoever he wants. But this all changes when a tiny brunette in pink marches up to him and asks for a kiss.
Soul lived up to every single expectation that I had. Hayes Roman has been my obsession since he first walked onto the scene in Steel. I have been down bad for this man ever since. In the past five books, every single time he's been mentioned I have been absorbing the info up like a sponge. To see this f*ckboy fall so hard for Emery was my everything. I loved seeing these two meet and getting to see Hayes slowly become obsessed with his mysterious lady in pink. The moment that Hayes set his eyes on Emery and Charlie, made my heart fill with endless love. Seeing Hayes with his baby girl, Charlie, put a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. I loved seeing Emery bond with all the old ladies. The girl gang is everything in these books 🥹.
One of my favorite parts was seeing Emery grow as a character. She starts off as this shy, meek girl but she blossoms into this bad@ss woman. Ready to protect her family at all costs. I love how supportive Hayes was and how much he trusted her. He helped set her free and it was a beautiful thing to read about. As always, Eva put my feelings through the wringer! This book was hot, sexy and the plot was so freaking good. I read this one as slowly as I could to savor it. I didn't want it to end ever! And seeing Mason again?! Ugh I loved that 🥹🖤!! The relationships between all the characters is what makes this series special.
Now the spice?! My socks were blown off! Good god, the mouth on Hayes. Him calling Emery freckles and my wife 😮💨. I can't pick a favorite moment at all. I say they're all the best. I will never look at a barstool the same way ever again 👏! Oh and chapter 31 will live rent free in my head forever 🙂↕️. Their chemistry was off the charts HOTT. And that epilogue scene was just perfection!
One of My Favorite Quotes: “You brought my heart to life.”
Soul was the perfect conclusion to the Twisted Kings MC series. The bonus epilogue was so good and I'm very hopeful for a second gen series. I was left excited and asking questions about certain characters! To see all the babies we met in this series get their HEA's would just be the cherry on top for me. Eva writes pure poetry. Her writing always does the job of putting a smile on my face, making me fall hard for her FMC's & MMC's, and making my heart feel whole. Half of me still can't believe it's over and the other half is ecstatic because this isn't the end. I cannot wait to travel with Venom/Shane to the Ironside Ridge Ranch later this year and see this sexy as sin biker fall hard for his girl in Rain or Shine 🖤!
Thank you to Eva Simmons and The Author Agency for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of Soul!!!
So I picked this up because I saw a lot of social media ads for it. I did try to read the first one it looks like but I never went back to complete it and it seems like this book also has some of the same issues that the other book did. This book is supposed to be a standalone but I feel like unless we read all the other books in the series we don't really get a good picture about who the MMC is. He does play a role in every other book and the old ladies do mention him being involved in their stories but you don't really get that connection if you're just reading it as a standalone. There isn't any dialogue or prologue that includes anything that makes us really care about the MMC or honestly the FMC in her uncle. We know that her uncle is in the flesh trade but there is absolutely no dialogue with the uncle or on page interactions with her actual Uncle at this point. They talk about how he was basically selling her off to the oil Mogul Eli and how when they found out she was pregnant and not a virgin he locked her in his casino and she escaped so there's a time Jump of 10 months and the baby is Charlotte is 5 weeks old when she finally escapes because of security guard created a commotion. But this is all relayed to the MMC after it's happened and I think if they had included her finding out she was pregnant and her uncle locking her away and then maybe her going into labor or the whole situation where she's trying to escape I think that whatever added a lot to the story because right now we're just being told things instead of actually seeing them on the paper. We don't know a lot of details at this point. We don't even know if she went to a hospital to deliver or how any of that went down. Then when she's on the compound at the mmc's house that used to be his dad's that he never goes to you don't really hear anything about it other than his dad was a bad person and I'm assuming his dad is probably in one of the other books since he was in the MC and I'm assuming it's now dead. Just like you find out that her parents died but it's just a passing dialogue it's not any sort of information about what happened it's just assumed someone. You're also told about past things that happened in other books about another MC that they took out that was helping the fmc's uncle but again you are emotionally detached from that scenario because we don't hear about it in this book. The author didn't do any sort of recap where you're in it and feel some type of way about it you're just kind of like okay that happened I guess and you're told very little about it.
Then there's things in the background going on where he is gone during the day and doing things but it's told from the fmc's POV so you don't really know anything that's going on with the MC once they found out that the FMC is the niece of the and guy they don't like.

Soul is the sixth and final instalment in The Twisted Kings series, and Eva Simmons, delivers an emotional, heartfelt conclusion that blends romance, family, and the chaos of the MC world. The story begins by showing readers how Emery and Soul first met. Then jumps forward ten months to continue the events from the previous book.
From the moment Emery reappears in Soul's life with an unexpected surprise, the tension is immediate. She finds herself in a situation where she needs help, and Soul is the one person she feels she can turn to. Their reunion is filled with uncertainty, emotion, and a growing connection that kept me invested from the very beginning.
Having followed this series from the start, I was happy to finally get Soul's story. He's been a significant presence throughout the series, and his book reveals a completely different side to him. Beneath the tough exterior is a patient, caring, and attentive man who is fiercely devoted to both Emery and Charlie. Watching him step into a protective and supportive role was one of the highlights of the book.
Emery at first appears quiet, sheltered, and uncertain of herself, having spent much of her life protected from the world around her. As the story progresses, she grows into a stronger and more confident woman. Her determination to protect her daughter and build a better future highlights both her resilience and her strength.
One of my favourite aspects of the story was the communication between the Hayes and Emery. Rather than relying on unnecessary misunderstandings, Hayes is open and honest with Emery, creating a foundation of trust that allows their relationship to grow naturally. Their dynamic felt authentic, and their emotional journey was just as compelling as the external conflicts surrounding them.
The was fast paced and it blended family drama, romance, and MC action. I especially enjoyed seeing how Eva balanced Hayes' two worlds. His life he was building with Emery and his role as Soul within the Twisted Kings. Neither side of his identity overshadows the other, making him feel like a fully developed character rather than simply a biker hero.
The supporting cast was another standout. After six books, these characters feel like family, and their loyalty to one another shines throughout the story as well as the series. The sense of brotherhood, found family, and unwavering support adds depth and heart to every chapter.
Overall, Soul is a satisfying and emotional finale to The Twisted Kings series. Filled with heart, growth, MC mayhem, and a reminder that family is often the people we choose. This book is a fitting conclusion to a series I've thoroughly enjoyed. While I'm sad to say goodbye to these characters, the ending leaves me hopeful that we may see some familiar faces again in future stories.
4⭐️ 2.5-3🌶️ ARC REVIEW: 📖 SOUL 📖 by Eva Simmons ✨ It’s the end of an era! This is the 6th and final book in the Twisted Kings motorcycle club (MC) series. I’ve come to love MC romance and Eva writes it so well. The love is BIG, the spice is HOT, and the found family vibes are STRONG. These guys are emotionally unavailable UNTIL the right person comes along, and Soul isn’t an exception with Emery. They find their match in each other. I love how he traces her freckles and calls her ‘Freckles’. He thinks he’s a monster, that he isn’t worthy of her. He thinks his upbringing in an MC has soured his ability to be a good father, but the love he shows Charlie is gentle and sweet. When he holds baby Charlie on his chest? Gah. 🫠 He thinks he isn’t good enough for Emery but she shows him that his sense of protection for those he loves means he is inherently good, and he deserves to be happy. It literally makes him happy to see her smile and be happy—he really just wants to take care of her. Seeing this tough man go gooey for his daughter and Emery was everything. 🥹 Emery was a strong FMC - sweet and shy in the beginning, a fierce protector of Charlie and Soul, didn’t let anyone push her around, and lovable. And the bond she formed with all of the other old ladies of the club was so special. Getting to see all of the couples together at the end was so good. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, Eva’s next series picks up where the Twisted Kings left off with Venom’s (Shane) story at Ironside Ridge in Texas. 🤌🏻
Hayes Roman (known as Soul) is vice president of the Twisted Kings MC in Vegas. He’s usually a one-and-done type of guy. He meets Emery on NYE and they have a ONS but she disappears the next morning. He’s been searching for her for 10 months, then she shows up at his club with a newborn baby in tow. He’s mad that he missed out on his daughter’s birth, first moments, first words, etc. but he understands why Emery couldn’t go to him. He’s going to move forward for them—with them, rather than be angry because he knows how that kind of anger can eat at a family and destroy you. He pretends he doesn’t care about people but he does. He tries to hide it but he has a big heart. With her he’s charming, playful and teasing.

Soul is the final book in the Twisted Kings series. Dean Hayes also known as Soul was always the kindest one of the men. When we first met him he always was the voice of reason for the guys. Throughout the series he is there for all his brothers and even the women in the series. He is the Vice President of the motorcycle club. He’s strong, reckless, and loyal. He would do anything for his club. He’s the charming one but he’s also a playboy. He’s usually the type of guys who enjoys casual hookups with no strings but he’s met his match with Emery. The moment they met, they felt the attraction. That chemistry led to one night of passion. Normally he would be fine to wake up and not see the woman ever again. However, something felt different with Emery and he’s disappointed when he wakes up and she’s gone. He wants her and becomes obsessed. He searches everywhere for her and refuses to stop until he finds her. What he is not expecting is for Emery to show up at the club and turn his world upside down.
Emery wants to escape her life. Her uncle treats her like a pawn and does not care about her at all. She meets Hayes and thinks to herself just for one night she could be someone else. She could have one incredible night before she returns to her cage. They had an instant connection, something she never felt. She does not want to give it up. So she stays with him. They talk, flirt, and give in to their desires. The next morning she leaves and doesn’t see him again. Until she hears her uncle talking about the Twisted Kings, she finds out he is at war with Hayes and his club. All she wants to do is warn him. What will he say when he sees her after all this time. Will he remember her and what will he do when he finds out she is related to the enemy.
Eva Simmons kept me on the edge of my seat. I felt bad for Emery, she felt guilty because of who her uncle was and what he could yet she wanted to stay with Soul. I was rooting for them since the beginning. I love how Soul was patient with her and vowed to protect her. Their scenes were so sweet during tender moments and hot during intense ones. This was an emotional and action packed rollercoaster. It was filled with drama, heat, danger, surprises, secrets, and crazy twists. This was my very first motorcycle series and I enjoyed it very much. I have loved this series since the beginning. I loved the bond between the club, the chemistry with the couples, the awesome girl squad and the kids. Every story has been special and unique. I will never forget Steel, Ghost, Legacy, Havoc, Chaos, and Soul. What a ride.
I genuinely don’t think Eva Simmons could have chosen a more perfect couple to close the Twisted Kings MC series.
From the very beginning, Soul had me completely hooked. Hayes and Emery’s connection felt instant, but what made their relationship so special wasn’t just the chemistry between them, it was the way they made each other feel free. Emery has spent her entire life being controlled and never getting to make her own choices, while Hayes has always lived recklessly, chasing the next adrenaline rush. Watching them become each other’s safe place was honestly beautiful.
Seeing a completely different side of Hayes was one of my favourite parts of this book. Throughout the series we’ve known him as the carefree, reckless VP who never seemed interested in settling down, so watching him fall so hard for Emery, and especially for Charlie, completely melted my heart. The way he instantly accepted his role as a father, without hesitation, showed a side of him I didn’t know I needed. Protective, devoted, patient… he was everything.
I absolutely loved Emery’s character growth as well. She starts this story feeling trapped by the life that was forced upon her, but little by little she finds her own voice, her own strength, and learns what it truly means to be loved and protected. I loved that Hayes never tried to change who she was, he simply gave her the freedom to become the person she was always meant to be.
One thing Eva Simmons never misses is the found family aspect, and I think this book reminded me why the Twisted Kings have become one of my favourite MC families. Watching everyone immediately embrace Emery and Charlie, seeing the old ladies stand by each other, and watching the brothers fight side by side one last time made this finale feel incredibly emotional.
The suspense kept me turning the pages, the final confrontation delivered everything I had been waiting for since the beginning of the series, and the epilogues were the perfect goodbye to these characters. It felt like a true celebration of everything this series has built over six books.
Closing a beloved series is never easy, but Soul felt like the perfect ending. It gave us action, emotion, romance, incredible character growth, and so many moments that made me smile (and yes… get emotional too).
Thank you so much to Eva Simmons and The Author Agency for trusting me with an ARC. It has been such a privilege to be part of this journey, and while saying goodbye to the Twisted Kings is bittersweet, I already can’t wait to see where Eva takes us next.

Eva Simmons has officially become one of my automatic-read authors. Every time I finish one of her books, I'm reminded that she doesn't just write romance. She writes characters that feel like they already had lives before you opened the first page.
Soul is Book 6 in the Twisted Kings MC series, and I don't think Hayes Roman's story could have been a more fitting addition to this world.
Ten months after one unforgettable night in Vegas, Emery shows up at the Twisted Kings clubhouse with a baby in her arms and nowhere else to turn. Charlie isn't the only surprise she's bringing with her. The people she's running from are the same people threatening Hayes's club, and suddenly the line between protecting his family and protecting his brothers isn't so clear anymore. From that point on, I honestly couldn't stop wondering how Eva Simmons was going to get everyone through this without breaking my heart a little.
Hayes was everything I hoped he'd be after getting to know him throughout the series. He's loyal almost to a fault, stubborn, protective, and completely devoted to the people he considers his family. But seeing him faced with something he couldn't fight or fix with brute force added a whole new side to his character that I absolutely loved getting to watch unfold.
And Emery fit so naturally into his story. She isn't trying to be fearless. She's simply doing everything she can to protect her daughter, even if it means putting her trust in a man she barely knows. That made every interaction between them feel important because so much depended on whether they could learn to trust each other.
One of my favorite things about this book was that the motorcycle club never faded into the background. The brotherhood, the history, and the war surrounding the Twisted Kings constantly raised the stakes, making it feel like Hayes and Emery were fighting for so much more than just their relationship.
If you've been waiting for Hayes Roman's book, it was absolutely worth it. And if you've never picked up this series before, Soul is a reminder of why Eva Simmons has become one of my favorite MC romance authors. She has a way of making you care just as much about the people as you do the romance, and by the time I finished this one, I wasn't ready to leave Hayes, Emery, or little Charlie behind.
*Thank you so much to The Author Agency and Eva Simmons for this ARC*
What an amazing book and the perfect way to wrap up the Twisted Kings series! Soul was everything I know and love about Eva’s books - full of humor, love, loyalty, friendship, and family while also adding in plenty of angst, twists, turns, and heat!
“A fucking angel in a city of sin. And when her eyes meet mine, I swear I see the only glimpse of heaven I’ll ever get.”
Hayes Roman (Soul), is a total goner and completely obsessed after one New Year’s Eve night wth Emery. She disappears and he spends ten months(!) looking for her only to have her appear at the Twisted Kings clubhouse with his baby. Hayes is all-in with his new family even with the complications that come with Emery’s family ties.
“He cradled me in his arms like he was going to own me, destroy me, and protect me all at the same time.”
Eva always writes the most amazing female characters! Emery has had a traumatizing and isolated upbringing but with the love and support of Hayes and the Twisted Kings family, she finds her inner strength, power, and voice. And the men Eva writes…whewwww…they are strong and steady, and once they know what they want there is absolutely nothing that will stand in their way or stop them. Hayes is a perfect example of that - he will do whatever it takes to protect his girls.
“She’s absolute perfection. Too good for me—there’s no doubt about that. But if she thinks I’m ever letting her go, then she’s wrong.”
What a journey it has been with the wild men of the Twisted Kings MC Club! It’s so heartwarming to see them all grown up and settled down and thriving. And yes, I’m talking about them like they’re real because that’s how phenomenal Eva’s writing is! It fully immerses you in the characters and their stories and feels like they’re really out in the world living their best lives.
“Family is more than blood or obligation. It’s respect, loyalty. Most importantly, it’s love. In how they take care of their families and sacrifice it all for each other.”
Thank you Eva for giving us these books. Soul and Hayes Roman are the perfect finish to this incredible series and even though it ending is bittersweet, I’m so excited to see where we’re going next!
“My whole life, I’ve always needed more. The next rush. The next addiction. Now I just need her.”
Phew, we finally made it to Soul’s book! This whole series has been fantastic, and this was such a satisfying conclusion.
We already knew from the end of the last book how this one was going to start and damn…
Emery and Hayes (Soul) meet on New Year’s Eve at a hotel. Out of nowhere, she walks up to him, asks if he has a girlfriend, and when he says no, she kisses him. The chemistry between them is instant, and she ends up in his hotel room. They have a super hot one-night stand, and he realizes she’s a virgin. 🫣 They only know each other’s first names, and that he’s part of a motorcycle club. The next morning, she slips away without a trace.
Ten months later, Soul has spent that entire time trying to find Emery, but he’s had no luck.
Then she suddenly shows up at the clubhouse with a baby in her arms, asking for his protection… and revealing that Charlie is his daughter.
We quickly learn that Emery’s uncle is Rick Zane, who’s been causing problems for the club since book one. Naturally, everyone is suspicious since she appears out of nowhere, but Soul never doubts her. It turns out her uncle kept her hidden throughout her pregnancy because he’d sold her off in an arranged marriage. Even after giving birth, the man she was promised to still planned to marry her. Both Rick and Eli are absolutely awful, and Emery knows escaping is her only chance to protect herself and her baby.
Once Emery and Charlie are safe at the compound, Soul immediately steps into the father role. He’s heartbroken that he missed the pregnancy and Charlie’s birth, but he never hesitates to love them both with everything he has. Watching him become such a devoted dad was one of my favorite parts of the book.
I also loved watching his relationship with Emery grow. This man has been celibate ever since that one night together because he never stopped thinking about her. He is completely gone for this woman, and I was eating it up.
There’s plenty of action, danger, and emotional moments as everything finally comes together, giving this series an amazing conclusion.
I’m so sad to see this series end, but I am SO excited that we get to follow Venom to Texas next!
