If you’re looking for a unique read unlike anything you’ve read before, I highly recommend this fun, sweet romance. This book is full of amazing characters, both human and even a couple of inanimate objects (the Gown and Doris, the mannequin). This book is totally different than what we can usually expect from this author, sure there’s romance, but there’s no steam, unless you count from the steamer Violet uses in her bridal shop. Violet owns Merrin Bridal and it’s one of the businesses included to be done away with to make way for a grocery store. Ledger Vale, the developer, shows up in town to discuss her options. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say I loved the way this town came together to let it be known what they think about wanting to get rid of any of their businesses. Grab your copy and see what happens.

The Gown Theory by Kelly Moore

Simply brilliant! Another fabulous story from Kelly Moore. The Gown Theory is a little different from Kelly’s usual stories, but it still has all the emotional pulls and charm that I always enjoy from her books.

This novel is exceptionally well written. The characters have real charm and charisma, and the storyline—set in the small town of Everly Falls in Utah—feels warm and inviting. The town is facing change when a developer plans to tear down some of its historic buildings to make way for modern structures.

Violet, the town’s stress-free sweetheart, finds herself at odds with Ledger, the determined developer. Can two opposites find love? And what part does the pretty, enchanted pink bridal gown play in it all?

The Gown Theory is a magnificent story—brilliantly written, filled with Kelly Moore’s signature descriptive storytelling that brings this sweet romance to life. I highly recommend this book to all lovers of heartfelt, small-town love stories.

This book is very different from what Ms. Moore normally writes. She has a wonderful imagination that you will love. This is a small town that revolves around Violet’s bridal shop and the beautiful gown in her window. You will find innate items that seem to come to life, even Doris the mannequin that seems to talk to Violet and others in town. The people is this small town are all real characters that will have you laughing at times. I loved the crazy relationship Violet and Ledger ended up having. Ledger was sent by his company to tear down the Main Street that had so many fascinating stores and people to build a large grocery store. It was fun to watch Ledger fall for Violet without trying to show his feelings. Then when his company takes him away from this small town and sends in a stiff shirt to get what they want, the fun really starts on how the people treat the new businessman and his assistants. It was a lighthearted book that I encourage you to read.

One of the most unique books of the year!

This is a love story, of course it is. But more than that it is a story of community fierceness, with a cast of characters that will steal you heart in their quirkiness and zeal.

Violet, the dressmaker and Ledger, the developer are at odds about a Corporate renewal project in the making. But, the more time Ledger spends getting to know her, the town and it's unique people, the more he fights for what they need as opposed to what Corporate wants.

Take in the ambiance of hope shared with sodas, memories made with Rosemary and cones that keep you safe and signs that may spark a gavel strike. Get the full treatment of a legendary dress and a mannequin that will judge your actions even when you don't see it.

If you need a trip away from reality and a really fun book, grab The Gown Theory. It will give you vibes of happiness and joy through the windows of a Main Street.

What a magical book! It’s the story of Violet, owner of a bridal shop with a magical gown and a very opinionated mannequin named Doris. A suit shows up, Ledger, who works for a developer wanting to demolish part of Main Street for a new grocery store. The story unfolds with Ledger developing feelings for both Violet and the small town and funny cast of townsfolk. I so loved Kelly’s wordplay and highlighted a few that were so delightful. This book is truly a warm hug and a story you will truly enjoy. Thank you to Kelly for the ARC.

With a cast of characters that are out of this world, Kelly Moore will take you on a joyful journey filled with laughter, strength and love. Violet and Ledger might have started on opposite sides of the fence but even a little spark will bring them closer. I just adored that the mannequin and the gown had their own unique tale. I enjoyed each and every chapter.
