Gianna Moore, a cardiac surgeon in Chicago, is successful and independent. Until, her world is turned upside down. Her father, William offers her fiancé, Eric Garcia millions to walk away. If Eric refuses, William produces pictures of Eric cheating. When Gianna finds out, confronts her father, who still exposes Eric’s indiscretions.

William then arranges a marriage contract for business with Andrei’s son, Ilias. Gianna tries to refuse but to no avail. Gianna signs, it’s only for a year but will live in Russia.

Ilias is a widower, losing his wife, Valentina in childbirth and a sister who’s been in a coma for 2 years? So, reluctantly the two are wed. Ilias promises to be a good husband and Gianna will see to Jelena, sister in law’s health and little Ayona.

All kinds of surprises come to light! Ilias is hiding something from Gianna. Gianna discovers why Jelena is sick? Gianna discovers her father is very sick, and was kept in the dark about it!
