This isn't a Prey sanctioned mission.

Rose Gardner was quietly living the life she fought hard to claim when she's snatched from her bed in the middle of the night. Waking up in a concrete cell she quickly learns she's been taken as bait to lure in her brother. Too bad for her captors that her brother doesn't care what happens to her, which means she's on her own. If these men think she's going to cower before them they're going to be sorely mistaken, because she grew up on a steady diet of pain and suffering and she's going to find a way to escape or die trying.

Steel is the team leader of Prey Security's Delta Team, and he's already led his men into danger once before. It changed everything about them, and now they live in the shadows, too dangerous to be close to anyone. When an opportunity to get revenge on the man who destroyed them comes along there is no way he can't take advantage of it, the least he owes his men is a chance at vengeance. But the last thing he expected was to find that the fiery redhead he's holding captive is nothing like they thought she would be.

She's her own brand of messed up and her demons call to his leaving him in an impossible situation.

1st of all I want to point out that I'm a HUGE prey fan and have most of the books and some audios as well however I can not condone this book. The MMC and his team kidnap and innocent woman (theirs no mistake no she's my enemy they KNEW from the start that she didn't deserve their treatment) That alone would not be a problem but they t/ortu/red her anyway and Jane did her to be a strong character so she could handle it again that would have been emm but ok coz it was extreme temperatures etc but it moved to cross the line when they hang her up and W/I/P/P/PED HER! physically harming her! The MMC felt guilty but that's not good enough. Taking care of her after IS NOT good enough! I knew at that moment this was NOT going to be as good as other books I've loved but I stuck it out. I did NOT feel anything made it better at all. SHE didn't forgive him in my book coz despite saying she hated him she never did Jane relied solely on attraction to make everything ok for her. She likes him and want him regardless what he did to her. That didn't sit well with me especially as later in the book Jane makes it so he HAS to physically harm her AGAIN he p/u/n/c/hes her and b/u/r/ns her. AGAIN not ok. making him sick after Janes way of somehow try and make it ok but it felt like a plaster on a gun shot wound. TOO much of this book is on her being treated poor and h/u/r/t by these men. Its changed my view on a much loved character too Eagle Oswald. With Rose clearly accepting him regardless of what he does to her I had hope PREY would bring some accountability to Steel and his team but this doesn't happen and leaves me very disappointed in Eagle. Eagle doesn't move in after finding out what they have done in fact he seems to liken Steels actions to his own which makes me angry NO WAY is it the same he didn't not kidnap or t/ortu/re Olivia YES he put her in a cell (She WAS doing something wrong) BUT he couldn't even leave her with no food he gave her a sandwich and NEVER physically harmed her. This book is called "Perfect Revenge" this story is neither as its not remotely perfect with what they did and they don't get any revenge. I wish I hadn't brought this book but considering I love prey so much and hadn't expect this I can forgive myself but i am taking this author off auto buy and onto read 1st. I will read the next one coz I love the last series and want to see Cassandra story but i will read ONLY any physical violence from Dragon towards her then I will part ways with Jane. It will be sad and although I understand authors needs to change things up and branch out.. this is somewhere I refused to go. I understand some won't see any problems with this but this is MY review and this is MY views.

I was very much looking forward to reading this opening book in a new series and WOW! I am still reelig from this one a couple of days after I finished.

If you love a story that stays with you for days after reading, then this is the book for you! Steel and Rose’s story took me through a gamut of emotions!

Steel and his team have a very troubled past, and their actions are fall well into the morally grey zone
And this had me so angry at them at the first, that I wanted to bang their heads together. However, as they began to understand Rose more their behaviours adapted. I still would have like to see far more grovelling apologies from Steel especially, and his team also, albeit to a lesser amount.
Rose was resilient, feisty and forgiving. Steel was angry, remorseful and protective and this mix made their connection resonate.

I can’t wait to see what more this team has in store for us.

They've been broken by the same person....

....is it possible they can help each other put the pieces back together?

I love the Delta Team and my heart breaks for the pain and torture they have suffered, they think they are broken, no better than animals, but they have already proven themselves far better than they think. The protection and care they offered both Beth and Cassandra proves just how human they still are...even if they struggle to believe it.
As team leader Steel carries the guilt for them being where they are, as they are, he has convinced himself that Rose is the perfect revenge, but even as they act, his heart knows it is wrong. You cannot help but admire Rose, she is so much more than any of Delta expected, she is fierce, wild and a little broken too, but she understands the need for revenge, she even craves that revenge for herself. Revenge, and even death don't scare her. But if they succeed in killing her brother, is she brave enough to allow herself to live, to fall in love, to be....vulnerable?
Whilst I hate that Delta feels the need to kidnap Rose, I like that they struggle with their actions and feel remorse for her suffering, their mistakes show them they are human, their actions to rectify those mistakes are what show them there is hope, that they can be saved.
A brutal but brilliant book, I cannot wait for more from this amazing team of broken but hopeful warriors. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

I love starting a new series and just devouring the first book. Meeting Steel and the men who makes up his unit you can tell that their is more than meets the eye. When they go after who they think is going to be able to help them with what they've been trying to do for years they are in for a very rude awakening.

Rose show these men that all compassion isn't lost. She's stronger than any one of them gave her credit for from the start. She just keeps on showing them that they are different from what they thought also.

When Steel starts to have feelings for Rose he doesn't know what to do with them. He thought they that he was no longer able to have those kinds of feeling. With Rose though, it just happens. His emotions are high. There is serious chemistry between these two that they fight but it's inevitable that they give into it.

Even though they want the same thing are they going to be able to work through everything that has been thrown at them? Start this series and find out.

I always adore Jane’s books, I mean duh… what’s not to like? Witty dialogue, characters that are multi-faceted… and storylines that will keep you hooked until the last page (and then some! Because I often find myself going well what if we do another book in this series, I want to know everything about these characters and 15 generations later on….#sorrynotsorry)

I heard about a new series and it immediately triggered my bookworm Spidey Senses… you know that thrill you get about a new series from one of your favorite authors? Yep, it’s like that! And my Spidey Senses did not lead me astray in this choice.

Rose and Steel weren’t quite what I was expecting, and I loved that! With Jane she doesn’t play it safe, her books always have some unique twists and turns … and this one did not disappoint.

I am so excited to see where Jane takes the story from here!

What started out as a way to get to the doctor that changed Steel and his team's lives forever turned out to be more than he ever expected. Rose despised her brother for what he stood for and all she ever wanted was to get away. But Steel saw her as a pawn that would make her brother come save her and then they’d have him dead to rights, only that’s not how their plan played out. They weren’t expecting her to be as strong willed, full of sass and someone that will never break at any cost. Her brother would never come for and if this didn’t work then it was all for nothing. The one thing Steel never thought was that he could have feelings for Rose or that she’d feel the same way. This is definitely not the conventional way to start a relationship, but is there ever really a right way to start? Great read!

Perfect Revenge

Wow! Another great and intense story! This is about Rose and Steel. The beginning has an intense situation because we think the Delta Team was going to make a kill mission. Instead we get the team kidnapping an innocent woman, Rose. Steel gets an uneasy feeling when he sees her but the team sticks to their plan. Now Rose is used to this kind of treatment and she definitely surprises the team when she doesn't break with their tricks. This is basically where Rose and Steel start their unusual relationship. The main goal is her brother and he is definitely the hard devil to catch. So now the team need to go back to the drawing board but I am happy that Rose is able to find love with Steel. FANTASTIC job Jane! I would highly recommend this book! Can't wait for Dragon's story!

What a book! As the launch of a new series set in the Prey World, Perfect Revenge introduces us more deeply to the super-elite Delta team - characters we’ve only glimpsed before. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I should have known better than to doubt Jane Blythe’s talent for weaving together a gripping plot with a heartfelt love story.

As is often the case with Jane Blythe’s books, I found myself shifting from loathing to loving the main character, and this story was no exception. In the end, Steel redeemed himself enough to earn a well-deserved HEA with the fabulously independent and self-sufficient Rose.

This is a strong start to what promises to be an excellent series following the Delta team. Five well-deserved stars!

It breaks my heart to write this because I absolutely love the author with that said........

The second they physically harmed her I hated them. They knew they had another way to go about this and choose to do harm to an innocent woman. The said they would fix what they broke the trouble with that theory is you can break a glass glue it together, but the cracks will always be there to show what you did. They went too far when they physically harmed her and the fact one wanted to kill her was just too much. I do not think any of the men disserve a happy ever after.

the only reason I am leaving a three star and not a one it because even though I hate the men in this book, Jane is an amazing author.

Steel and his team had me starting out angry and confused, their actions hitting hard and leaving me reeling. But when the truth behind those choices surfaces, it breaks your heart wide open. Steel’s slow transformation is pure magic—I found myself grinning as he took possessive to a whole new, delicious level.

Rose is nothing short of awe-inspiring—fierce, frightening in the best way, and an absolute kickass heroine who shines brilliantly. The team delivers banter, laughter, camaraderie, and a deeply felt sense of family even through the pain. I laughed, cringed, and thoroughly enjoyed every burst of blazing heat and action.

What is the perfect revenge? Is it cold vengeance or is it overcoming dark pasts to find a happiness where you thought there was none? Jane Blythe gave me a captivating start to this new series about the mysterious Delta team. Steel and his team have decided to cross a line to get what they feel will bring down the man who destroyed their lives. Except their captive pawn ends of being stronger than anticipated. I loved Rose’s inner strength but my heart ached for her life of trauma. Steel’s realizations and growth was perfect. I enjoyed every moment of the tension, danger, team camaraderie, sizzle and heart of this story. Looking forward to the next book.

What a great start to this series. This is the first book in the Prey Security Delta Team series and was definitely riveting. Steel and his team are out for revenge on the Doctor that played with their DNA and then held them captive. They have been hunting him for years and finally decide to go after his sister to get their revenge. Little did they know they were in for a wild ride. Rose was definitely a spitfire. I loved Steel and Rose’s banter and relationship. I’m glad these two got their happy ending they definitely deserved it. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the rest of the series.

Its time to fall in love with another Prey team. The mysterious Delta team. Now we meet this team previously. They live off grid in a Gothic mansion amd keep to themselves. They have a secret and have vowed revenge.
However when they go against everything they fight for and kidnap an innocent their lives are forever changed. Are the thoughts they were fed a lie? Can they find love and nuture it? Steel and Rose learn that love is possible when 2 broken people are knit together with their broken peices. If their story leads to a HEA maybe there is hope for the other team members as well.

This book was thrilling, full of drama, suspense and heat.

Steel and team have had such a hard time, you could see how they lives felt so out of control, although they treated Rose so terribly initially you were able to understand their reasons.

Rose was so tough, the hardships she had endured meant that she was able to stand up for herself and prove that she was just as tough if not tougher than them! She rocked!

This series has me hooked from book 1 already and I just can’t wait to read more from Delta!

Rose and Steel were a different type of couple but coming from individual dark pasts.

Kidnapped from her bed to get revenge on her brother, Rose is abused by Steel and his team but things don't go as planned.

I loved how Rose was standing up for herself but her past was dark and brutal. Her present wasn't much nicer but the attention that came from Steel and the dynamic they developed was priceless.

Danger, darkness, suspense and extremely intense, i really enjoyed the different dynamic. This was the first book in the new series and I can't wait for more. Too good!!

This new Delta Team are something special and I couldn't wait to read their stories.
Rose was kidnapped from her bed and awoke in a dark basement. No one could break her, she'd already the survived the hell of her past.
Steel is the team leader and the main character of this story. These men are different and you'll have to read this story to find out how.
This story is a dark romance, although filled with light moments. These men are on a mission to right a wrong and Rose is expected to help them.
An action packed drama that might not go as planned, I'm already anxious for book 2.

Jane Blythe has a wonderfully devious mind and I am so glad that I get to enjoy her story telling in every way. This book was amazing and I loved each and every word. The story was powerful and the characters were all very strong and determined in their beliefs and the emotions were running high especially between Steel and Rose. This was a fabulous start to this new Prey series and I am so excited for the stories that are to follow. Jane Blythe certainly knows how to constantly deliver high quality amazing books and once you start you will never want to stop reading.

The team is on a mission for the perfect revenge. But what started out as simple turns into anything but. Rose, a romance book editor, has an inner strength that is amazing to see. Who will break first?

The team has such a close dynamic. I really enjoyed the depth of each of them. The two main characters had such a beautiful chemistry. It was so much fun to see them banter and the angst in their push and pull. Heated me up. The story keeps you on your toes wanting more.

*** This was my first in the series and it was easy to follow. Can't wait to see what happens next!

This is the first book for the Delta team. They all have enhanced powers thanks to an experimental program during their time in the military. Now after years of searching they are ready to seek out the evil doctor who ran the program. Their plan is simple- kidnap the doctor’s sister and lure out the doctor when he rescues his sister. Except the doctor is a psychopath and isn’t interested in helping his sister.

This is the story of Steel - Delta team leader and Rose - the crazy doctor’s sister. It’s a bit dark and if you want a light and easy read, maybe skip this one. I did enjoy the book, overall. But if the stories continue to be this dark, I might not continue the series. I’ll need another book or two to figure that out.

Wow! I don’t even know where to begin to describe how Steel and Rose’s story made me feel. Jane Blythe has again rendered me wordless with how she took two broken souls and brought them together to build something neither had even thought possible. It was heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. And this was just the first book in the series and as with all series the stakes will keep getting higher until Jane writes “The End” on the series finale. I’m totally here for this rollercoaster. Can’t wait to see how these men find themselves again.

Wow. In Perfect Revenge we get the first action packed and morally grey book of Preys Delta team! The men have been manipulated and are out for revenge.
They have kidnapped the sister of the doctor they want as bait.

Rose is not one to cower which confuses the Delta team. She is extremely resilient and strong. Can the team trust her? Can she trust them? What lengths will the team do to get their revenge?

This is a psychologically and emotionally packed romantic suspense book!

This was a great way to kick off a new and intriguing series by this talented author.
The only reason it wasn't a top read was more due to personal taste rather than quality of the book.
Every single 'good' character in this book has been through so much, that you'll feel a constant tug on your heartstrings.
I found myself unable to look away and can't wait to see what happens next.
Definitely recommend.

Wow! What a start to a new series. This series focuses on another division of Prey Security, Delta Team. This book lets us get to know the team a little bit, focusing on what happened to them and how they plan on getting revenge. Their plan doesn't work and Rose is not what they expected. Steel and Rose are drawn to each other. This is a bit darker than most of the other Prey stories, but it fits in with the storyline. Looking forward to more in this series.

Definitely one for the keeps. Going against logic and humanity, the new team does something they shouldn’t have and it all ends in chaos meaning Rose. The unexpected spitfire tilts their luve upside down and inside out and there is nothing they can do about it, especially Steel.
Welcome to the Delta Team Chaos.

I couldn't believe how this book started out. I was so angry how the Delta team treated Rose in the beginning. I was so glad that Rose is a survivor, stands up for herself, and doesn't put up with Steels chaos. This book is an emotional roller coaster, one minute you will hate, tear up, and you will be on the edge of you seat. Can't wait to see what the next book will bring. Highly recommend.

Rose is strong, stubborn, and refuses to be a victim, exactly the kind of female lead I enjoy. Steel is torn, conflicted, and clearly carrying far too much on his shoulders, which makes him interesting rather than irritating.
Plenty of action, good tension, and I really liked watching trust slowly build when it doesn’t come easily to either of them. Definitely one I’d recommend. 📖

I think this is my favorite Jane Blythe book to date. The new team is spectacular!

I'm not even sure how to review this one, the darkness was amazing, Steel was equally infuriating and swoony all at once, Rose was an absolute force, and I couldn't love her more.

Intensity, action, emotion and spice. A book you wont be able to put down

I love a new Jane Blythe Series and the Prey World is definitely one of my favorites. After the whirlwind that was the Charlie Team Series we got a glimpse of Delta Team and Perfect Revenge, the first book in this new series did not disappoint.

The first book centers around the Prey Delta Team lead by Steel and his need to help his team find revenge against the doctor who betrayed them by performing experiments that have forever altered their bodies and minds. When the team decides that the best way to get to the doctor is through his sister Rose, they decide to kidnap and torture her. They vastly underestimate Rose and her determination to survive.

This book definitely starts with a darker tone than the other series which I loved. It also lays out exactly what you want in a first in the series, it teased the storyline and pulls you into the dynamic of the team in the best way. Rose is a baddie in her own right and gives the entire team a run for their money. I loved everything about this book and the entire delta team. Grab this book and mark your calendars because if you are like me you will fall in love with Rose and Steel and be anxious to find out what happens next!
