currently reading at 58%. I may or may not come back to this and finish it. so I've seen social media ads for this book and decide to give it a try. the pot isn't a horrible one it's nothing special but it's not bad it's just almost 400 pages and almost nothing really happens. the timeline is also extremely short. they're also are very short time jumps from past to present. which kind of pull you out of the story. so far there's only a 4-day period from the beginning of start of the book. it also feels like you're kind of starting the book in the middle of the story and when you are given the bits of information it feels underwhelming and kind of confusing kind of like a tell me more scenario. there's also a lot going on in the story that kind of get glossed over. so from what a piece together I guess the FMC is a journalist I think. I'm not sure if it's for fun or for an actual job. he talks about how her dad used to treat her like shit and discipline her whenever her sister Julie would get in trouble. there was a lot of conversation about how the FMC was so plain but also good looking. there's a lot of other background characters that were being introduced for what I'm assuming is other books in the series that are running on the same timeline or similar timelines just based on conversations that they had with secondary characters in the book. from her sister running away with one of her dad's mafia members to her best friend who happens to be the maid's daughter meeting some other mafia guy who was mean to her at one of the galas. then I just feel like the whole reason for them to be mean to her really doesn't make a lot of sense like they want to degrade her because her grandfather and his grandfather where are Mafia together and stuff happens but now his family wants to treat her like crap and beneath them but they're doing weird things like hanging out her lingerie or after they had sex for the first time they came in to check the sheets and all this other stuff that just didn't really make a lot of sense in the grand scheme of the storyline. then they have this somewhat main storyline about girls going missing at a with a certain color wristband where she may be trying to write a story about it I'm not sure 100%, what she's doing there. again this timeline is like 4 days and there's still almost 40% of the book still left. it's boring.

Her sister was supposed to marry for alliance, but she ran. The alliance still needed to happen so her father drug her home as the stand in bride. She didn't want to get married and she didn't want to marry him. He doesn't want to get married either but he is fascinated by his little bride. She isn't the meek compliant bride he thought he was getting and that is very exciting. His family wanted the alliance as revenge on her family and wanted to humiliate her, but she is strong and won't bend for them, he admires his little bride and might just want to keep her after all. This is a well written story that unfolds nicely as their relationship grows. Their spice is steamy and passionate, and there is nothing like a strong alpha who will do anything to protect what is his. They have a happily ever after once they navigate the family and mafia drama.

This book had me on my seat for the entire plot. I loved it!! The plot is complex and twisty in the greatest way. The story will make you cringe, smile, feel deep feelings, smile, and even want to hug the characters. The entire book is built on strong characters, a great plot, lots of moments, and lots of feels. THe story of Adriana and Dante will stay with you for a while. The families arranged the marriage, for him to continue legacy, for her to humiliate her family, but what they did not count on was on them truly seeing each other and learning to trust. The twists in this story will make you gasp, but you will stay reading because it is that good. Highly recommended!!.

Savage Vows by Laylah Snow is a dark, addictive Bratva romance full of twists, heat, and heart. When Adriana’s runaway sister dodges her arranged marriage, Adriana’s forced to marry Dante Volkov—the ruthless mafia heir who was meant for her sibling. What starts as revenge and duty turns into fierce chemistry, danger, and unexpected love.
I loved the strong heroine, the protective alpha energy, and the nonstop drama that kept me glued to the page. Some emotional beats move fast, but the story’s passion and intensity make up for it. Steamy, suspenseful, and satisfying—definitely a must-read for dark romance fans.
Adriana returns home when she finds out her sister ran off. Adriana's father had promised her sister in marriage to Dante (rival Bratva), now Adriana will be forced to take her place. She continues with her journalist project after she marries endangering herself. Adriana is attracted to Dante but doesn't trust him as she saw Dante at the club before a woman is kidnapped and goes missing. Will Adriana be able to find her sister and the missing women? Is her husband involved? The steamy Bratva story is full of twists and turns and deception.

I enjoyed the captivating thrills that came with the forced relationship between the FMC and the MMC. The winding path of their love life together with the chills of a murder mystery. While finding her footing in her new marriage, Adrianna tries to solve the disappearances of several young women and the murder of at least one of them. Dante is at times cold and distant yet others he is caring and loving. This book is so enticing that it is hard to put down.

I really enjoyed the storyline. However, I will admit that I almost did not finish the book. I think it took about five chapters for me to get into the book. The MMC had me questioning a lot of things, but he redeemed himself. I have issues with the MFC. Her own sister almost sold her out and tried to take her husband and slot herself into her place, marriage and life. And that's after she married the MMC in her stead because she ran away. I'm sorry.... there's no way I would have forgiven her for that.
She finds herself going down the aisle in place of her sister who disappears a week before her wedding. She is not too thrilled about it whatsoever that her father has made her the bride in place of her sister. This exciting story draws you in and kept me all caught up in Adriana and Dante as their story unravels across the pages.

Adriana takes the place of her sister when she runs from her wedding to Dante, the most dangerous man in the city. What develops is a spicy, dangerous and overall exciting story that I could not put down. I absolutely enjoyed this book right from the start.

What a ride. Adriana/Dante are a perfect match. I love how she was strong and not whiny all the time. Oh and the possessive and protectiveness of Dante swoon worthy of a book man.

There's really nothing wrong with this book per se. It's just that I've read so many other books with the exact same plot. That there wasn't really anything new for me to enjoy.

I loved this book and that’s saying something. I’m not a fan of mafia books. I couldn’t put it down. “Possible spoiler” I was truly shocked who the bad guy was. There were many different twist to the story. Again, I loved this book!
She was the spare bride. He never meant to fall for her because this was about revenge and pay back. She became much more, if he could only admit it. This , however , is the Bratva!
I thoroughly enjoyed this read very realistic instant attraction, included a true plot/mystery, and a plot twist I did not see coming! Hope to see a book for Liam in the future!
I loved savage vows which was Adriana and Dante’s story. It was a steamy, and engaging read. I received an early copy. And voluntarily leaving this review.
So many inconsistencies that it made it hard to follow/enjoy this book. Not sure how this book has 4 star rating on goodreads. Did everyone else read the same book I did?
