A Coyote for Christmas

Rate this book
Blake wasn't expecting to be wooed by someone playing Secret Santa twelve-days-of-Christmas style, but he certainly isn't complaining. Presents are fun after all, especially when your Secret Santa seems to know all your favorites. Things get a little more mysterious when the gifts begin matching the oddly friendly coyote that's started hanging out on his porch. Blake can't help thinking fanciful thoughts, but shifters don’t actually exist...do they?

A cute, enjoyable short Christmas story. Mysterious packages with lovely gifts arrive on Blake's desk every morning, trying to figure out who is the secret admirer has him stumped and everyone else in the office so intrigued and amused.

3.5 stars. There's a gentle sweetness to this single-pov short story that I enjoyed. There's no heat, no real conflict, the reveal isn't surprising and Blake very much takes it in stride. With the HFN ending coming right after the reveal, we don't really get to see any on-page chemistry between them or why they're each so taken with the other, but the attention to Blake's interest shown with the gifts proves that it's there in a lovely, quiet, understated way.
