Overall the story is really good… it’s just really sad that the last 5 chapters were rushed and it feels like it really affected the ending.

เป็นเรื่องที่ตัวเอกทั้งคู่ผีเข้าผีออกตลอดเวลา 555
ไม่แน่ใจว่าคนเขียนตั้งใจวางคาแรกเตอร์ซย่าถิงหว่านกับซูเหยียนเป็นแบบแข็งนอกอ่อนในทั้งคู่ไหม แต่ว่านิสัยตัวละคร ปูมหลัง การดำเนินเรื่องมันย้อนแย้งกันแบบสุด ๆ ตามปกติแล้วเวลาที่อธิบายเรื่องราวในอดีตเราควรจะเข้าใจตัวละครมากขึ้น แต่เรื่องนี้ดันทำให้งงกว่าเดิมเพราะมันไม่เป็นเหตุเป็นผลกันเลย 5555 เช่น ซย่าถิงหว่านที่มีพรสวรรค์ด้านการแสดงจนเป็นราชาจอเงินตั้งแต่ภาพยนตร์เรื่่องแรก แต่หลังจากผ่านไป 5 ปี กลับมีหนัง(ที่ไม่ประสบความสำเร็จ?)ต่อมาอยู่เรื่องเดียว เราเลยงง ๆ ว่าไหนบอกว่าซย่าถิงหว่านชอบการแสดงมากแต่ดูไม่อยากทำงานด้านนี้เลย หรือเรื่องปูมหลังของเจ้าตัวที่อ่านยังไงก็ไม่น่าเชื่อว่าจะไร้เดียงสาจนเชื่อใจคนอื่นได้ง่าย ๆ ทุกอย่างมันเลยดูย้อนแย้งกันไปหมด ยิ่งตอนที่ซูเหยียนหนีไป อ่านแล้วได้แต่เหม่อ มีแต่เครื่องหมายคำถามเต็มไปหมด 😂 ได้แต่สงสัยว่านี่เราอ่านอะไรอยู่นะ 555

และที่ค่อนข้างขัดใจคือเป็นนิยายที่ตั้งใจเขียนให้มันดราม่า บางทีเรื่องราวมันไม่มีอะไรแต่ก็ให้ตัวละครดราม่า (ซึ่งเราว่าบางทีก็ OOC) จริง ๆ สำหรับเราแล้ว บทสรุปที่เหมาะกับคู่นี้คือแยกย้ายกันเติบโตเถอะ 55 (เป็น toxic relationship ที่สงสารคนรอบตัวมาก) ตัวร้ายก็ไม่มีอะไร แบบ หืม? มาแค่นี้???

ที่ขัดใจอีกอย่างคือ เรื่องมุมมองของนักเขียนต่อปางช้างไทย ไม่มีใครทารุณช้างแล้วนะสมัยนี้อ่ะ

แอบหลุดหัวเราะออกมาเลยทีเดียว ตอนที่ซย่าถิงหว่านบอกว่าตัวเองเป็นรับตัวน้อยตั้งแต่เกิด 😂 ไม่คิดไม่ฝันว่าจะได้อ่านอะไรแบบนี้จากนิยายจีน 555

สรุป เป็นนิยายที่ตั้งใจขายดราม่าแต่ยังทำไม่ค่อยถึงเท่าไร

[4.5] i started reading the novel after listening to the audio drama, and while i’m not really the type to actively seek out celebrity stories because the convoluted logistics of fame and misguided/unwarranted gossip is frustrating to read about, 瓜皮太太 has such an alluring way with words 😍

i loved the incorporation of《寻》into the story so much, especially how some notable scenes were described and acted out by one of our MCs, Xia Tingwan (夏庭晚). the parallels drawn between the script and reality were incredibly poetic. and of course, i absolutely adored Su Yan (苏言)’s love letters. they were on another level of emotion, the most heart-wrenching pieces ever!

Xia Tingwan starts off irritatingly childish and immature (not entirely his fault as Su Yan basically puts him in a bubble to protect him at the beginning of their relationship so he never gets the chance to grow up), but watching him go from letting others clean up his mess to facing the consequences of his own actions and finally become a responsible adult was a delight. yay to character development!
