“This was just my luck. Some people inherited trust funds, and I inherited an old house and a ghost with a vendetta. But the ghost still had me to contend with - a touch starved, needy woman with apparently freaky, tastes in men. So maybe the ghost finally met his match.”
This book was such a pleasant surprise! I stumbled upon it by accident and picked it up out of pure curiosity, expecting a downright comical, poorly done retelling, but whoa, was I pleasantly surprised! Not only was the plot captivating, but the smut was spicy! Never did I expect to fall in love with an MMC who didn't have a head! And for a novella, I was pleased that this short story packed a punch. I felt my heart race with the FMC, the excitement of her bestie, and the longing and confusion of our paranormal MMC. Not much to worry about for trigger warnings: a slight reference to a toxic ex who is quickly pushed out of the novella by our heroic MMC is the most, which makes this a nice, safe book for most readers. If you know the tale of the Headless Horseman/Legend of Sleepy Hollow, then this smutty retelling will definitely please you!

This was really funny to me. It was like a twist on the headless horseman, which was really cute. So Clara is forced to come to Hollow’s ends after her grandmother dies and she inherits her house. The house has been empty since her family fled the town in the middle of the night. There is a horrible dark cloud going over this family, and when she uncovered the truth, it was, of course, down to men fighting for something. Honestly, I thought this was a cute, hilarious supernatural romance. At this point, I have read many different books, and I have never encountered a male lead who was a headless horseman who was really cute. And the way he became super protective of her and her time of need was really great. He even stepped up even the cute little horse. I recommend reading it. It's a cute and fun way to pass an hour.

The FMC returns to Hollow’s End after the end of a difficult relationship and the discovery that her grandmother left her the family house. It’s then that Clara finally finds the courage to uncover what really happened between the small village and her ancestors.
I’m in love with this story! Even though it’s short, it delivered.

loved it !! love Clara and the Horseman... this is their story... a fun fast paced shorter rom/drama... Clara is back home after that break up and her grandmother's death.. she doesn't believe in curses and whatnot... it's all just gossip, right ? well, the house maybe haunted but, maybe it has just meet it's match !!! so good !!!.

I love Halloween, Monsters and all things Sleepy Hollow so this short, spicy monster romance novella is right up my alley. This was a fantastically written retelling with a little twist. I was able to read this in one sitting and really enjoyed the characters - - Highly recommend for spooky season as it will make you happy that you picked it up.

This was a really quick read but a good read. Clara inherited her grandmother's house and land. But she also inherited the family curse. She set her mind to proving that there was no curse. But she soon discovered that there was. The Horseman Ansel had been tied to her bloodline from Black magic.

I was a little skeptical going into this book but soon found it enchanting. I liked the way the author retells the story of the Headless Horseman. The connection between Clara and Ansel was ethereal and alive. I really recommend this book to all romance readers.

This is a lovely cute paranormal romance, with a lovely twist on the headless horseman. Full of curses, fog, humor, romance, love, redemption and a HEA.
Clara comes back to Hollow's End when she inherits her grandmother's home and lands. It's been left empty since her family moved out years ago trying to escape a curse, and she's warned to not go out at night and keep a lantern with her. But she's curious to know the reasons behind the curse and learn more about the horseman she keeps seeing and who's started to save her.
I loved the humor and romance in this (the headless horseman is great, particularly when he starts becoming so protective of Clara) and would definitely recommend as a fun evening read with a touch of spooky spice.
