I was meant to live quietly. Serve drinks. Finish my degree. Stay invisible.
Until I saw him kill a man. Until the shadows turned toward me. Until the devil himself came to save me.
He’s twice my age. A Pakhan. The Bratva’s ruthless king. And the only man standing between me and a bullet.
He says the FBI can’t protect me. He says I’ll wear his ring... or I’ll die without it.
But the moment I became his bride, I stopped being a target— and became his obsession.
Behind his dragon tattoo and cold green eyes lives the man who swore a blood oath— to protect me. To claim me. To own me.
He’s my captor and my savior. My forbidden Christmas miracle. And somewhere between his violence and his vow, I lost my fear... and gave him everything.
Now danger is closing in again— and this time, I’m not running.
Because I carry his secret beneath my heart. His legacy. His love. His undoing.
This Christmas, salvation comes wrapped in sin.
Author’s A dark, steamy age-gap Christmas mafia romance where a vow written in blood becomes a love that changes everything. No Cliffhanger! HEA Guaranteed!
Ooooo I am so suprised by how much I liked this book. I can’t wait to read the next one. I’m very mad that her mom is still estranged, and I do wish we knew more about the moms background.
The basics of the story were good, but there was so many inconsistencies it was annoying. Usually if they’re minor, I ignore them. But these were major. A lot of settings and events didn’t line up in the different POVs.

I tried. I really did. But DNF. First the author’s writing style was very difficult to read. For some reason she felt it was necessary to continually give us what I call background blurb. Describing how the wind blew against the trees, how fluffy the bread was, how tart the jam was. These things in of themselves are fine but when every other paragraph is littered with them it’s not.
It’s like what a rookie writer thinks makes a good book. However, this was bearable but what wasn’t was the major inconsistencies that should have been picked up by an editor.
FMC calls 911 and tells them she saw a murder. Cops arrive and they’re calling out for her by her name. How do they know her name? She never told the operator!
Another, she’s walking into the courthouse. We’re told she’s surrounded by FBI agents, she’s nervous and slinks back into the SUV. Very next sentence she walks into the courthouse. Eh? Thought she was back in the SUV????
Another, she’s having breakfast with the MMC. He tells her to follow him. We’re given a graphic description of the journey and all the turns he takes, all the rooms he passes as he takes her to the library. Last sentence of that chapter is her sitting in the library, agreeing to marry him. First line of next chapter, they’re sitting at the breakfast table!!!
At that point I lost it! 29% in. There’s a lot of chapters to go but I can’t stomach any more. Sorry. Luckily I got this on KU. if I had paid I would be extremely annoyed.
Ivy is working at a exclusive bar and going to college online for her teaching degree. She doesn’t seem to really notice many things going on around her, other than just struggling to make ends meet. That is until she witnesses something that will forever change her life.
Konstatin Mikhailov is a Pakham who has devoted his life to protecting those in his family. He lurks within the shadows of Ivy’s life, without being noticed. Not because she is family, but due to a Blood Oath he took at a time his life was on the line.
Vadim Antonov happens to have a lot of background with Konstatin and his family that is not favorable. Luck would have it, Vadim’s actions have turned to the worse, and Ivy happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, putting her life in imminent danger.
This is a tale of Mafia families, loyalty, dangerous situations and domination of Family names. I enjoyed the adventure, scandals, twists and turns of the storyline. The characters are well defined and active throughout. A real page turner for sure.

I had hopes for this one but it's just too corny for me. The timeline is collapsed. Within 3 days of being married, "what we have has evolved into something deeper." (They've had sex twice I think.)
Ivy's father was in the Mafia but she didn't know it. She has worked at a Bratva-owned restaurant for a long time, but somehow didn't know who owned the place. There is a silly error when the author moves them from their breakfast table to another room, only to say he's looking at her over their breakfast table. Somehow, Frank, her platonic BFF, is across the street from the bridal shop. Frank doesn't own a TV because he thinks it rots one's brains, so he hadn't seen any news overage about her. Then she tries to run away. Let's see if she gets another carved animal for this move. Of course there's another woman. Ivy wakes up to see her in her bedroom. Wow, so much for security,
It's ALWAYS this way in these stories. She learns an earth-shattering truth about her life, gets angry and hurt, so he kisses her to make it better. Of course she melts into him and they have sex on the desk. Dumb. DNF

The negative first- I am not sure if the author was writing several books at one time and got confused but there were several mistakes made such as our fmc had blue eyes but then Konstantine The mmc says she has brown eyes. He bought her an emerald green dress ( yes I went back and checked) but then he's looking for her at the party, said he's looking for her in the blue dress. This happens several times and is clearly a solid error over looked by the editor (if there was one). Sad because the book was Good, took off a star for those mistakes. The storyline was solid, pace moved along nicely. There was a solid climax and HEA. Spice 2/5 not the best honestly, no real detail,no actual spice you'd expect from Bratva men but it was still interesting enough I wasn't too sad about it.
Konstantin has been watching over Ivy for most of her life in fulfillment of a blood oath that he took on years before. To Ivy, and her boyfriend who is really just a friend, Konstantin is her stalker, always watching. When Ivy witnesses a crime within the organized crime circle that Konstantin is part of, he must do something dramatic to protect her and therefore fulfill the blood oath.
I read a lot of mafia romance, and more specifically bratva romance, and this book, while not bad, just did not quite do it for me. I like a decisive guy, especially when he is the pakhan. Konstantin sat back and watched things unfold a bit too much for what I expect from a bratva boss MMC. There also seemed to be a lot of mundane filler content in between the action sequences and to simply put it, I was bored with this.
This book is not terrible, just not what I look for in mafia romance.
Blood Oath Christmas is book 1 in the Blood-bound Christmas series and is Konstantin and Ivy's story. It's a great, fast-paced, intriguing story that quickly pulls you in. After witnessing something she shouldn't have Ivy finds herself in a bit of a mess. Though Konstantin has always watched over Ivy, he has to step his game up in order to protect her. This story changes paths fast and Konstantin has his hands full trying to "convince" Ivy what would be best for her. Blood Oath Christmas has lots of drama, intrigue and excitement not to mention chaos and danger. Absolutely recommend this read!
This was such a good read. It kept me in suspense from the very beginning. There is nothing better to have spicy romance with some action thrown in. This is a new to me author and I enjoyed this read immensely. After witnessing this man killing another he took her home and made her his. There was something about this woman that kept him fascinated and he wanted to make her his. The way their story unfolded was so much fun to read and the way this alpha man made this woman his everything. This is a must read!!!
Ivy is working her way thru college, she has dreams of being a teacher, she intends to stay under the radar and just serve drinks. But fate has other plans for her when she witnesses a murder. Konstatin Mikhailov has watched over Ivy from the shadows and knows the murder will be able to get her in protective custody. He has to convince her that he is the best person to protect her, as his bride.
He will have to protect her when trouble comes for her, this is dark, dangerous and steamy.

What an amazing book. The characters are real and three dimensional. As I read the book, I found myself feeling like I was part of the drama. The story will pull you in and have you sitting on the edge of your seat and/or holding your breath. The relationships between Ivy (MFC), and Konstantine (MMC), Frank (her “boyfriend”) Victor and Maxsim, (Konstantine’s right hand men) and her parents play a huge role in how she sees herself and how she relates to the world around her. A 100% must read again and again.
Konstantin had watched over Ivy for years, keeping her safe a blood oath between him and her father was a promise he could never forget. Watching a mafia killing and the killer looked straight at her put her life in danger. There is only one thing Konstantin can do is to kidnap her and make her his wife, getting her to agree will not be easy. What you have now is a mafia love story that will capture you attention throughout, traitors dealt with permanently, kidnapping and even a baby.
He swore a blood oath to keep Ivy safe and had been doing so but when she witnesses a killing and the killer looks right at her he knows he has to do something and fast to keep her safe. That comes by way of taking her and making Ivy his wife. This action-packed story is thrilling and had me all caught up in their drama.

Blood Oath Christmas is the first book in the Bloodbound Christmas series. This story is an adventure that I enjoyed a lot. It finds Ivy, a college student who is serving drinks , witness to a murder. Konstantin is the Pakhan of the Bratva and he ends up becoming the only one who can keep her safe and protected. But it does come at a cost to Ivy, be his bride, wear his ring, and then things turn sizzling hot and intense.
After Ivy sees something she shouldn't have, Konstantin comes to her rescue, proposing she become his bride for her safety. A steamy action filled read with danger, secrets, forbidden, OMYW and a surprise bay, this will keep you hooked to the end.

I like the action , steamy scenes , and twists in this story. I give this story three stars because of Ivy. Ivy does things she after she learns about the people and things that will harm her.
Okay so the plot twist killed me and then felt a little rushed to me once it dropped. I wish we got a little bit more insight and impacts from it. But I did enjoy this book. I mistakenly assumed this was a dark romance Christmas book lol and I’m glad I read it.
A very good read. I loved that she was precious to him from the start, unlike so many of the Mafia themed books I've read. These characters were easy to love and I enjoyed spending time with their story.

I enjoyed reading Konstantine and Ivy’s story. Ivy is a strong willed young woman who m as tired with grace and finding the love she desperately desired. Konstantine is a force to be reckoned with and a perfect match for Ivy.
