A MOVING STORY ABOUT SALVATION AND TRUTH!💕
I really enjoy the Devine Temptations series and this one is more emotional and moving than the others hence my five star rating!
Jimmy Tanner- son of an evangelist preacher is sent to spy on a satanic church called The Satanic Temple, but instead of finding pentagrams and blood rituals he finds Lucien Perez- a very compassionate and caring man who leads the church and volunteers but most of all is also stunningly beautiful…
“We leaned more toward philosophy than performance art, more toward debate than blasphemy. Reason over ritual, though we loved a splendid spectacle now and then.”
Jimmy was raised in fear and shame that bring himself is a sin but with Lucien he finds his truth, courage and salvation with comfort , compassion and grace…
“the only sin was denying the truth of who I was and how I felt.”
A very emotional, compelling and moving story about living your own truth, finding acceptance and a love so profound that it makes you tremble!

I loved the premise of the story. I dropped an entire star because of a major issue with editing. Halfway through, Jimmy is under cover as Jimmy Harper yet Lucian refers to him as Tanner, multiple times. As both a first name and a last name. then suddenly they find out his is not Jimmy Harper he is Jimmy Tanner. This frustrated and distracted me so very much. How has this blatant mistake not been caught and corrected.

I've loved this series from the start and was excited for a new addition. I enjoyed this book. I loved both Lucien and Jimmy. I liked the way their relationship developed. This story was a journey for Jimmy- about being true to himself, and speaking his truth. About seeing beyond the constrictions he was raised with. 4 stars

Jimmy is sent to find the dirt on Lucien by his preacher father. He's told that Lucien is evil but all he find is someone who cares and loves. Lucien sees Jimmy and knows he has secrets but that doesn't stop him from wanting him but it's more than wanting. I really enjoyed this book.

Wow. Talk about moving. I have found each of the Divine Temptations books to be moving, but this one really spoke to me.
The story follows a Jimmy, a televangelist's son sent to spy on the Satanic Temple and bring back proof of their evil. However, evil is not what he found and instead is inspired to change his life. As someone raised in the church (though not one like Jimmy's, thankfully) and now a follower of the Satanic Temple, this could not have been more perfect for me.
The message of freedom and being true to yourself, no matter how difficult, are so important and the story was absolutely heartbreaking. The writing, as usual, was fantastic and poignant and I highlighted many quotes worth remembering.
