Blood & Snow is the first book in the Silent Nights, Sinful Nights Series. A dark steamy age-gap Christmas mafia romance filled with danger, devotion, and redemption. No Cliffhanger! HEA Guaranteed! There are some definitely intense, suspenseful and downright violent moments but I love it all. This thrilling story has non-stop action, secrecy and mind-blowing twists that captured my attention through to the achingly beautiful HEA. This is Xander and Nadya story which is told from a dual point of view. A brilliantly written story with world building individuals and a twisty and complex storyline that captures the reader attention from the start and keeps you transfixed and on the edge of your seat with it's pulse-pounding action, high-octane suspense, non-stop twists and turns and mystery. Immerse yourself in this tantalizing mind-blowing rollercoaster ride filled with heart-stopping danger, enemies, rivalry, attacks, tension and heart-stirring emotions and follow along as these two unlikely individuals fall in love with each other.

Leonid Markov the most feared, ruthless, cold-hearted and powerful pakhan in Moscow Russia. Markov built his empire on the understanding that fear properly applied becomes loyalty. And every man in his organization knows the price of failing him. Arkady Sokolov is the head of The Sokolov Brotherhood and have been trying to take over Markov's territory for a couple of months.They stole seven shipments in two months. In his eyes those were seven failures that point directly to Xander's operations. Twenty-six year old Yaroslav Sokolov who's in charge of ground operation became embrazen and burn Markov's trucks at Sheremetyevo Airport filled with forty kilo of heroin after stripping it clean. But not before someone spray painted Sokolov Brotherhood tags across the side. The driver was also shot execution-style with a single bullet to the skull. Needless to say that Markov was pissed and see it as a failure against Xander for letting it happen since he's responsible for the operation.

I had lots of issues with this book.
Firstly (and I admit I could have missed something here) why is Nadya
…looking for employment that wouldn't require extensive background checks or references I can't provide.
There’s loads of little things that didn’t make sense. But I don’t want to drag this out and make it a long review.
So I’ll just go with the thing that annoyed me the most and made zero sense.
The guy they’ve been looking for (Arkady). The one they have to kill ASAP kidnaps Nadya. Xander goes to Leonid for help.
So far so good.
Then Xander starts telling his Pakhan…
"She's been to our safehouses. She's seen our operations. She knows names. Locations. If they break her, she'll talk."
"If they break her, she'll expose everything. Locations. Names. Operations. They'll use her to destroy us."
…”She knows where you live, Leonid. Do you really want to have to move?"
"…..I didn't approve of your bringing a girl into our operations who could compromise me."
“She won't talk," I say.
What?
"If they break her, they'll come for you. They'll come for all of us. This isn't about me. This is about protecting the organization."
So now she’s talking again?
I mean seriously what an idiot. Xander is a battle hardened 40 year old Bratva enforcer. And this is the best he can do?
I mean he could have just told the truth. Arkady has kidnapped her. This is the perfect opportunity to find him and kill him. Information please. End of.
I know this is a Bratva romance and not to be taken seriously. But it could and should have been better.

3.5 stars for me.
I don't know if its me or this story but I felt like it was predictable. It is a good story but it could be from all the mafia romances I've been reading but this one seems more G rated then anything.

Nydya Korshin, 26, helping and living with her sister niece and nephew in a tiny apartment. Nydya is looking for work without a background check and one cleaner job doesn't care as long as she shows up and does the job. Little did Nydya know her 3 years of forensic science will instead help solve crime scenes now will help clean the scene so her new boss won't get caught.
Alaxander 'Xander' Morin, 40, enforcer for Leonid Markov and was ordered to clean out a large group called the Brotherhood and also needs to clean up his old cleaner. So he put a classified ad in the paper for a cleaner and didn't expect a very talented brainy woman. He grabs onto someone that's useful but also his weakness as the story grows but he will at some point weight the pros and cons of Nydya, rather taking her out will help and does think that sever times but his body and mind tells him she's to valuable to lose... I'm like okay even after their first night together. No protection in their times together so you can guess what that will mean and what will happen.

1. 12:45PM is not the middle of the night and the whole world is not asleep. They're awake (the majority, at least) because it's the afternoon. 12:45AM is the middle of the night.
2. So, after she says she has to stop things, the next time he needs her skills he leaves. Not ready to see her and do their usual she cleans, he watches routine. He doesn't send a car for her. Ivan and Igor don't stay while she cleans. Meaning she's there alone, doing a lot of cleaning by herself. Unprotected. Xander only refers to himself as a fool for not sending a car for her like normal. Not one thing is said to Ivan or Igor for leaving her alone? That makes no sense.
3. Arkady taunts Xander about Nadya's pregnancy -- which Xander didn't know about yet -- but when we get his POV immediately after that news drop, nothing is mentioned? Again, that makes no sense.
4. "Dmitri. Nikolai. Alexander." She counts names on her fingers, each one carefully chosen to avoid the letter I prefer (that being X). Uhhh...His birth name is Alexander. The name Xander, his preference, is literally part of that. And yeah, there's an x in it. Wow.
5. Feels unfinished. What did Leonid discuss with Xander regarding his role in the business? How did Arkady know Xander's endearment for Nadya?

This is the 1st story in the Silent Nights, Sinful Nights Series which takes place in Moscow, Russia where we Nydya struggles helping support her niece, nephew while her sister works long hours as a nurse. One fateful night Nydya goes interview for a cleaning job only to be held at gunpoint by Xander a Bratva Enforcer needing a cleaner. Xander gives Nydya 2 options and she picks survival and ends up earning blood money to make a difference in their lives. Xander is pleasantly surprised to learn Nydya has several years of forensic science studies helping her dismantle his crime scenes and lying to her sister about her job and wages. These two take their work relationship into something intimate with no promises of more by Xander. On the other hand Nydya has fallen in love and with her sisters pushing to know the truth behind her job, new clothes and money Nydya stands up for herself with Xander only to find out what his enemies are truly capable of when you become a captured victim. The length that Xander goes to protecting Nydya shows his true feelings that put him in a compromising situation. Nadya, studied forensic science for three and half years until her mother got cancer and she just couldn’t bring herself to finish the course. Trying to make ends meet in a small apartment shared with her sister and her two children, Nadya answers an ad for a cleaner. Upon arriving her senses alert her to it not being right, as she enters a room, she sees why! From the shadows steps Xander, an enforcer prepared to get what he needs by any means necessary. Nadya backed into a corner, cleans up the scene she has walked into from here on out her life will never be the same!

Xander and Nadya have no chemistry. No build up to the romance. More like they are connected because of sex only. I don’t think I see any part that any of them actually do something or talk to have connection to have the romance.
Also what threw me off is that, the author seems to insinuating that they are speaking English even though the setting is in Russia, specifically in Moscow. Both of the main characters are Russian. Logically they should be speaking Russian, and we read the book in English. Because there’s one part of the book where the Xander was torturing someone, and the person replied in “broken English”.

Nadya has a new job but not the one she ever expected, she's working for Xander Morin, enforcer for the mafia.
Part of the cleaning crew making sure all the blood disappears is her life now, either carry on or be killed by Xander.
More blood more killings but the money really makes a difference, just how much longer can she carry on like this and is her life in danger.
Feelings have a way of creeping up on you and he now has a big problem Nadya kidnapped and his pakhan won't help him rescue her.
Will he ever get her back in time when the plot is for him to die as well as her.

Nadya lands in hot water when she answers an ad for a job as cleaner. When she arrives, she is confronted with a terrifying scene and then encounters a man that is as dangerous as the scene she is witnessing. Given two options she takes the one that leaves her alive but close proximity with Xander has feelings sparking and Nadya facing two pink lines. Will she and Xander's relationship survive the circumstances she is faced with.

Xander needs someone to help with the aftermath of his job as an enforcer but the new cleaner is not what he expected. Working together in close proximity forged an unforgettable bond. Nadya needed a job to help her sister and neice and nephew an ad for a cleaner that paid well was to good to pass up if only she knew it was cleaning up after Xander the bratva enforcer who drawn to her and nothing will stop him from protecting her when his enemies close in. This was a pretty decent read. It’s definitely more Bratva romance than Christmas romance. I didn’t really feel the chemistry between the Xander and Nadya.
This is a fast burn. They hook up for the first time at 23%. Xander is definitely all “ you’re mine” after that.
There’s no OW/OM drama, no cheating. It’s a safe read in that regard.

Xander has been set a small task - eliminate the opposition. Simple right? He recruits Nadya as his new cleaner, but that is not all. A steamy action filled read with Bratva drama, danger and violence, and more.

This tantalizing read was dark and steamy. Nadya and Xander's story was abundant with intensity, thrills, action, tension, drama, emotions, heat and twists. This book held my attention well and read very smoothly.

This book may be set in December and there is a tree and presents, but it is hardly a Christmas story. It is extraordinarily violent and gory.

A good read
This book was a little dark with violent storylines, but written in a way that encouraged the reader to keep going until the end. There’s nothing I like more than a happily ever after and this book doesn’t fail.

What a great story
