This story picked up right where the first book Left off and it did not stop. It was a fast paced from start to end.
We see how Zellie has been navigating everything that she has gone through in the first book and really how hard adjustment has been. Zellie myself herself drowning in anger and really not knowing what to do with. This time we have the POV of her best friend Jada. And I really enjoyed Jadas POV and might I say just preferred her over Zellie. Jada brings balance to the story and to Zellies anger and rightfully so as a libra. I think it was really nice to see Jada grow into her own person, from being a people pleaser and wanting to keep the status quo she really deals with having to understand where she fits into all of this. She was a total badass with her choices and I was rooting for her the whole time.
I enjoyed all the side characters and especially getting to understand a little bit of the thought behind Leo doing what Leo did. I’d def curious to see what his storyline will develop into.
Really enjoyed reading this and can’t wait to see what happens in the next one!
This is more of a 3.5 for me, but Goodreads still doesn't have 0.5 star ratings.
The story picks up right after the cliffhanger ending in The Gemini Games, and the plot moves very quickly. Instead of focusing solely on Zellie and how the first book changed her, we are split between Zellie's POV and her bff from Lunara Jada.
The first 60% of this book was fast paced but it felt like nothing was really happening, aside from Zellie being too angry to listen to anyone and Jada being too excited about changes to think. The last 40% of the book was also fast paced, and this is when basically everything happened. I will admit that because of how fast the different plot points happened, I wasn't as invested because I didn't have time in the story to process.
I found myself liking Zellie a bit less in this book, and I didn't really like Jada much. I really enjoyed Seb, Brinn, and Orion though! I liked Elio, and I was glad that we got to see a bit of Leo for an explanation.
While I love Zellie and Orion, I felt like there wasn't as much of an emotional connection in this book as there was in the first book. But ooooh boy was there sexual tension!
Overall, this one was enjoyable but not quite my cup of tea.
Together, we rise. Together, they’d fall. And honestly? That line sets the mood perfectly. Jada’s pull toward the City of Wonder feels destined, glittering, and dangerous all at once. Astralis shines on the surface, but chaos lurks underneath...and Jada is determined to restore balance, no matter the cost. Zellie, still burning from the Gemini Games, brings the darker edge. Her thirst for vengeance and discovery of an ancient prophecy adds emotional weight and high stakes that kept me fully invested. What really worked for me was the friendship. As secrets unravel and the constellations shift, Jada and Zellie are tested in ways that feel personal, painful, and real.
A magical, star-soaked story about destiny, revenge, and whether friendship can survive the pull of the universe itself
The second in the Starborn Saga with Jada. She’s where she belongs ,she can feel it . But Zellie on the other hand is still reeling never mind feeling from the Gemini Games .A collision course is inevitable but are they together or poles apart? On the same quest or once upon a time friends at best. So pull up a pew and read to your hearts content ,it is great reading no contest. …Things come to light and the Kosmos isn’t right but are they at the end of the night? A delight to read at speed . Willa Hollis weaves the world well and the storytelling is compelling as well.
A solid 4.5 stars from me, only because I wish it was longer! I was so happy to have this book on deck after the cliffhanger in the first book. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to read this as an ARC and can’t wait for the next in the series.
Thank you to @Willa Hollis and BookFunnel for an ARC copy of book two in the Starborn Saga series. This picks up where book one left off, and I always appreciate that. I hate a significant time jump, but this was easy to get back into.
In this book, we follow Jada, who is worried about not having heard from Zellie, her best friend, since she was whisked away right in the middle of their conversation.
Her life itself is a busy and messy tangle of longing to know, worry, and concern for her friend, but also anticipation of her curiosity as she learns about the new world now open to everyone after the Gemini Games. After the big reveal and Pluto's and the Kosmos true colours showing, if only to Zellie and her gang of rebels. The old gang is back with a surprise addition - Leo - humbled and angry, longing for Zellie and trying to make things right. Orion, as always, is steadfast and fierce; his love and concern for Zellie are first in his mind.
We see the new experience through Jada's naive eyes - the rose coloured glasses firmly set as she learns about new worlds that have opened to everyone since the Games came to an end, and her excitement to learn about Astralis and all its nuances.
We are introduced to some new players - Elio, Torin, Faye and some old and friendly faces in Brinn, and Celeste, who we don't really hear much from and feels a bit like a filler character to segue into reminding us of what was lost in the Gemini Games.
Pluto takes a liking to Jada and offers her a job at the 'head office' where she can see how they work and presumably kindly give intel to Pluto about Zellie and what she is planning. This plot point doesn't really work for me, but either luckily or unluckily, there are a lot more ways this can play out. Zellie and Jada's first meeting happens 'by accident', and it doesn't go well. If I am going to be honest, it doesn't feel fluid to me; it's clunky and a bit vague, but it is built in to make the transition to Jada getting a job with Pluto's team and having her see the public persona that he and all the Kosmos falsely project to the world. Then a lot happens, some of it confusing and disjointed: the Children of the Constellation ramp up their timeline, a few plans are hatched and impulsively the gang go on a mission to find some stones or gems they think might help them defeat the Kosmos. To be honest, I got a bit lost here, and the subsequent capture of Zellie while the team gets away with some precious and helpful stones/gems feels a bit rushed and disjointed. Zellie is then tortured by Pluto to the brink of death, meanwhile, around this plot Jada gets a bit wiser to Plutos mechanations, Orion yearns, and the rebels happily realise that not everyone is on board with how the ruling body is...well...ruling. Again, this happens quickly- Elio somehow joins their cause (and while never showing any interest in Jada, appears to be a love interest for her going forward) and helps them find Zellie, rescue her, and find out Jada is one of the missing pieces, and a prophecy is unearthed. After rescuing Zellie, she is made to recover and ponders the prophecy linking Jada to the next steps. I think the flow with all these plot points could have been smoother but they get the last 1/4 of the book moving and from then on in we venture to another plane, glow up Jada and set in motion the rebellion to overthrow Pluto and the Kosmos, find out in the process that uniting humanity and their gods can truly change the world they are living in.
I know I am being purposefully vague, but honestly, there is so much going on that I don't know where to stop and start with this book. It would benefit from some plot point honing and a bit of clarity, but in the end, it got me to finish, and the last bit went so quickly. It sets up the next book in the series, as I assume we are going to go through all the star signs. It's a good idea, and I do look forward to who we will see next up in the order.

“No one prepares you for the crushing isolation that comes when your identity is torn apart”
✨ Book two in the Starborn Saga ✨ Dystopian fantasy, elemental magic ✨ Dual POV ✨ Found family ✨ Slow burn romance ✨ Destiny, fate, prophecies
Libra Legacy follows Zellie as she adjusts to her new reality, her powers, and the cost of everything that’s already happened. This instalment feels more internal, less spectacle, more consequence.
The addition of dual POV gives the story more depth, especially through Jada’s chapters. Being brought to Astralis and given a role in this world offers a new perspective, even as her initial naivety makes her growth all the more noticeable by the end.
“These worlds are cold and cruel. Seeking companionship and warmth isn’t selfish; it’s survival”
Zellie, meanwhile, is burning with rage. She’s harder, sharper, and deeply changed, especially as the rebellion against the Kosmos begins to take shape.
“Zellie had changed. Not only on the outside, but in her heart, too. She’s hardened and it hurts to witness”
The found family continues to be a grounding force, and the romance remains firmly slow burn. Orion is still very much a presence, steady and intense, without rushing the relationship.
“Do not think for one moment that I wouldn’t tear these worlds apart, ripping the fabric of our beings to shreds, if it meant having her safely back in my arms… without her, I have no tether keeping me in orbit.”
Themes of destiny, worth, and prophecy run strongly throughout, adding emotional weight to the bigger picture being built.
“Power does not distinguish our worth. Wealth does not distinguish our worth. Honor, bravery, and compassion do.”
This book expands the world, deepens the characters, and sets up book three with a satisfying, well-placed ending that makes the continuation feel earned.
Chaos, vibes, and opinions are all my own ✨ please give credit if you share.
Jada Bellamy is summoned to the City of Wonders to restore the balance that Zellie disrupted after the Gemini Games. While the city calls to her, she is unsure whether her friend, the one she lost so unexpectedly, still does. As Jada begins to understand why she was chosen and why Zellie has changed so drastically, she is faced with difficult questions. Will she accept Zellie for who she has become? And will she rise to the challenges placed before her to restore balance to the world?
Zellie and Orion stole my heart all over again with their banter, love, and deep understanding of each other. Zellie, the stubborn Gemini that she is, sets out on a single mission, which is to destroy Pluto, while Orion, ever the charming and devoted partner, stands by her side, even to his death. Jada, on the other hand, felt naïve and selfish to me at first, but once she truly understands what is at stake, she steps up, showing herself to be fair, compassionate, and deeply caring. One thing that truly stood out in this second book of the Starborn Saga was how the men treat the women. The women are the ones restoring balance and fixing what is broken, while the men support them effortlessly, backing them without hesitation and treating them like goddesses.
The world-building is just as stunning as in the first book, with the tension reaching new heights as fresh challenges unfold. The character development is exceptional, and the magical, celestial setting is utterly mesmerizing.
I didn’t find anything objectionable, and I finally got the closure I had been yearning for when it came to Zizi and Riri.
Overall, “The Libra Legacy” by Willa Hollis is a heart-touching, soul-searching fantasy and a powerful second installment in the Starborn Saga. A must-read for those who love seeing justice served and balance restored.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Libra Legacy by Willa Hollis — Book 2 of The Starborn Saga Release date: 6th January 2026
Ending my November with this ARC felt like being handed exactly the book my heart needed. Libra Legacy is powerful in its quiet ways: tender, fierce, political, funny, and devastating all at once, and it reminded me why I fell for this series in the first place.
🌙 Jada: My People-Pleaser, Soft-Hearted Queen Jada is honestly one of the most refreshing characters I’ve read this year. She’s not the typical powerhouse heroine; she’s anxious, soft, chronically accommodating, and loves with her whole chest. Willa flips every stereotype upside down and gives us a girl whose strength comes from compassion, not combat. As a recovering people-pleaser myself, I felt every ache in her chest like it was mine. Let’s not even talk about the way she attracts love interests like a full time job 😜
🔥 Zellie: Flawed, Furious, and Growing Zellie’s journey feels so real. She wins the Gemini Games… and instead of glory, she walks straight into grief, consequences, and the weight of expectation. Willa embraces Zellie’s messiness; the anger, the impulsiveness, the guilt and allows her to grow through it, not past it. She goes through so much trauma in this book that it hurts, but the way she learns to accept, slow down, and let people help her warms my heart. It’s raw. It’s frustrating. It’s human. And it makes her character so compelling; i can’t wait to see how she continues to develop in the series!
💞 A Friendship That Feels Like Home Jada and Zellie? Soul-level peak friendship. Their bond is the emotional core of this book: tested, stretched, bruised but always returning to something substantial and unshakeable. They feel like two halves of a whole navigating a collapsing world, and their love for each other made me tear up multiple times. This is one of the most authentic, resilient female friendships I’ve read and honestly made me feel a little bit jelly 🫣 and with the old and new characters coming together, I’m feeling this is only the beginning of one of the best found families 😏
⚔️ All the Things I Love in Fantasy… Packed Into a Shorter Read Despite being shorter than book one, it’s dense with feeling and worldbuilding: corrupt politics & rebellion prophecies shaping destiny new (and chaotic) characters explosive magic witty banter, betrayal, tears sprinkle of spicy romantic chemistry (multiple couples!) And a redemption arc that genuinely warmed my cold trauma-ridden heart (if you know you know 👀)
The pacing is fast but not overwhelming. It feels like a breathless continuation of book one, throwing us straight into action, consequence, and tension. Willa expands the world with political unrest, faction tension, new alliances, and a deepening sense of threat. You feel the weight of rebellion simmering under every page. And yes, more questions rise It’s layered without ever dragging, and the stakes feel higher than ever.
❗️A Certain Character I Am Physically Restraining Myself From Discussing… There is one character whose arc in this book nearly ripped the air out of my lungs. However, because I refuse to spoil anything… I am holding myself back with superhuman strength. All I’ll say is: Willa has hinted that Book 4 is when their storyline truly ignites. I am waiting. I am unwell. I will be seated the moment it drops; and when this book officially releases? Oh, I will be back with a dedicated rant, analysis, and emotional breakdown about this character. Consider this a promise.
Final Thoughts Libra Legacy is everything I want in a sequel: more heart, more danger, more character depth, and more emotional devastation wrapped in hope. Jada is the star of this instalment, Zellie’s arc deepens beautifully, and the ending lands perfectly, with a hint of a surprising character journey to come. Book 3 already has me in a chokehold and it doesn’t even exist yet. I’m fully invested. I’m hooked. And I’m not leaving this series any time soon.
I really enjoyed this book! It picks up right where book one left off and we are along for the journey of Zellie figuring out what her life looks like now that she has won the Gemini Games- it doesn’t look like it’s going to be an easy journey AT ALL. The huge thing is that she has her friends. Some old, some new. Some possibly getting some redemption? We also follow her bestie Jada as she continues to navigate her own journey now that the Gemini games are over. There is a lot of unrest happening all over, and of course Zellie needs to seek revenge for the losses that happened in the Gemini Games. Will a new prophecy be the way to start over and rid their world of the evil that plagues them? Will Zellie become too much of a target for Pluto? Whatever happens to Leo?
This book was a great read- it was interesting, with lots of political intrigue and a lot of new characters that made the story even richer! Don’t worry, we still see our favorites, and maybe not to favorites- a side in the “us vs. them game”definitely gets chosen and it is clear who can and cannot be trusted. Jada was an amazing addition and she had a critical role in this installment of the Saga series. Zellie had some major struggles in this book and the way her peeps rallied behind her was commendable. The redemption arc that happens put a smile on my face and I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to that particular character yet. They definitely need to be in book 3. The ending was excellent and there is a bit of a cliffhanger continuing the story. I’m excited to see where things go and I’m REALLY excited to see how our main character in the next book will grow because as of right now, the jury is out lol
I loved Gemini Games, so to be able to read this next chapter to Zellie’s story was great!
After everything Zellie has been through, she ends up being very angry. She has a hard time controlling and sharing her feelings, which results in a lot of outbursts. This is trauma and was totally understandable. People don’t recognize who she has become. Not even her best friend from her home planet, Jada.
Jada has her own POV in this book and we get to learn more about her. At first, I found her to be very gullible and trusting. Naive even. She definitely needed to open her eyes more to reality. But she got there eventually. She just needed the time to do so. Her story was epic.
The romance between Zellie and Orion was great. I knew in the first book they’d eventually end up together. Leo was too much of a bad boy for her and not a good fit. They had amazing sexual chemistry but lacked true connection. Zellie had more of both with Orion and I found that he grounded her more.
Overall, I really liked it! Excited for the next adventure!
Fave quotes: “There is no world where I can exist without you. If there is ever a point where it is your life or another’s, I will always choose yours.”
“You’re with me?” “Until the moons fail to rise and the stars burn out.”
“We will never be what we were. Maybe we weren’t ever meant to be. Perhaps he was solely what I needed at the time. But for this… for his part in rescuing me, I could find some forgiveness in my heart.”
“We are one; we are the same. Never again will we be apart.”
“I told you I would always choose you, and I’m still paying for those feelings.”
“Men like you don’t learn—enraging wild women only leads to your undoing.”
The Libra Legacy by Willa Hollis is an engaging, star-soaked adventure that blends prophecy, personal growth, and cosmic intrigue into a compelling installment of the Zodiac series. With two heroines pulled toward destiny from opposite ends of chaos, this book leans heavily into emotional stakes and shifting alliances.
Jada’s storyline immediately shines: her magnetic draw to the City of Wonder feels mystical and foreboding all at once. Her determination to bring balance—not just to a fractured city but to herself—grounds the novel with heart and purpose. The world of Astralis is vivid, gleaming with magic and menace, and Jada’s evolution within it is one of the book’s strongest elements.
Meanwhile, Zellie’s arc offers a sharper edge. Still carrying both scars and fury from the Gemini Games, her quest for vengeance pulls her deeper into dangerous truths. The ancient prophecy she uncovers adds delicious tension—not just for her future, but for the fate of the entire cosmos. Her anger, vulnerability, and grit make her chapters pulse with intensity.
Where the book shines brightest is in the bond between Jada and Zellie. Their friendship is tested by shifting constellations, buried secrets, and the heavy weight of destiny. Watching them move from trust to doubt to determination gives the story real emotional resonance. Though some transitions feel slightly rushed, the stakes remain high, and the themes—balance, justice, and choosing your path—come through beautifully.
With cosmic intrigue, strong character arcs, and a world that feels both enchanting and dangerous, The Libra Legacy delivers a captivating read that will leave fans eager for the next constellation to rise.
The Libra Legacy was a fun, quick read that leans hard into politics, rebellion, magic, and the eternal chaos of good vs evil. I'd say a solid 3.5 stars for me.
This book really shines in its found family dynamic. That bond feels like the emotional glue holding everything together while the worlds fracture around them. Each character has a role that actually matters, and I loved seeing how their individual strengths feed into the larger plot.
Zellie’s arc is especially compelling here. She’s angrier, sharper, and visibly changed as the rebellion against the Kosmos begins to take form. Watching that hardening happen hurts in a very intentional way. The romance stays firmly slow burn, which I appreciated. Orion remains steady, intense, and deeply tethered without rushing anything. The emotional restraint makes every interaction feel earned instead of forced.
The story expands the world, deepens the stakes, and leaves us with a cliffhanger that feels purposeful rather than cruel. The fight isn’t over, and it’s clear book three is going to matter.
Themes of destiny, worth, prophecy, and survival run strongly throughout, adding weight to the bigger picture being built. This installment feels like a bridge book done right. Not flashy for the sake of it, but necessary.
🔥“Do not think for one moment that I wouldn’t tear these worlds apart… without her, I have no tether keeping me in orbit.”
“Power does not distinguish our worth. Wealth does not distinguish our worth. Honor, bravery, and compassion do.”🔥
Thank you to Willa Hollis and Happily Booked PR for the ARC copy 💜
The Libra Legacy starts off where The Gemini Games ends. It's a cohesive jump from book 1 to 2 and takes you straight into the story with POVs from Zellie and a new heroine, her bestie, Jada.
Zellie struggles with trauma & loss as she comes out of the games and learns of her new abilities. She is determined to find a way to rebel against the Kosmos for what they put their citizens through and is surprised when her friend Jada gets thrown into the mix - invited by the Kosmos themselves with a job in Astralis. It takes some time for them to see eye to eye and Jada's early POV feels more naive, full of contemplation about her choices (both to visit Astralis and to decide between her love/lust interests).
I love that this book picked up exactly where the first left off and it keeps you from wondering what happened in-between. I enjoyed the new character POV from Jada most of the time. Sometimes it just made me roll my eyes and say to myself "yes, we get it. Just move on!" but other times, when she's working for the Kosmos I find she's more mature and it gets interesting! Without spoiling anything, I enjoyed her addition and felt like the story makes a lot of sense! This book kept my interest though it was less action-packed than book 1 and more into the political climate this time. It made so much sense and feels like a great setup for the next book in the series. I can't wait to continue on with The Starborn Saga!
3.5 stars rounded to 4.
Thank you Willa Hollis and Happily Booked PR for this ARC of The Gemini Games.
I have a little bit of a love-hate relationship with this series first of all I really do like the series I'm excited to see what comes next I love the writing style that the author has I feel like she does a great job describing all the characters and all the games and just everything that happens every single scene is beautifully described and is just written perfectly. I have loved seeing the character development I liked seeing the changes in the relationships overall some relationships the way they ended absolutely crushed me I can say what happened with Leo absolutely killed me I was rooting for him and his relationship with Zellie but he was never unfortunately redeemed for what he did It absolutely killed me the choices that he had made and I'm sure he really did have good intentions but just the way it all went down it absolutely crushed me but I love Orion And the relationship that developed throughout both books with ZEllie as well. The only thing that I wished was a little bit different was I didn't like how short some of the chapters work I wish that the chapters would have been just a little bit longer I do enjoy a good short chapter every once in a while but the whole book the chapters were just so short and so the numbers kept going up with the chapter count but I felt like I just wasn't making any progress and I was reading so many chapters so I do wish that was a little bit different but overall besides that I really did enjoy the book I liked the pace of the book I liked just everything overall and I'm pretty happy with how it all ended
This book gets 4.5 stars from me. While I did enjoy it, I enjoyed the first one more but I absolutely love this series.
This story leaves off where the first ends. Well kind of. It starts off more with Jada (Zellies bestie). We got our guy Orion.... And of course the bad guy is back in full force... UGH!!!! This story is about Jada and her coming to where the celestials are and understanding what happened while her bestie was gone playing the games. There is so much more I want to say but don't want to give away spoilers...UGH!! SPOILERS. So needless to say, we are introduced to a few new characters. We learn to what depths the evil guys are willing to go. Of course there is a great battle scene in the book... Will good win over evil? Or where does Jada fall in all of this? GAHHHHH! Again can't say too much without giving spoilers away.
So let me leave this here, The Gemini Games I couldn't put down. I had to read it in one setting. This was slower paced and not as much action packed story (still has action just not as much what the what scenes as the first) but still a fantastic story. There is some spice but not saying who spice is happening with.....
If you enjoyed the first one, make sure to read this second. I can't wait to see where the 3rd leaves off as there is a slight cliff hanger (but it's not a bad one like the first). Highly recommend this series by Willa Hollis. Thank you again for working with me and allowing me to read your book early.
Picking right up where The Gemini Games left off, we get quick resolution from the cliffhanger before diving into the rest of the story. The story includes most of the main characters from the previous book (Zellie, Orion, Pluto), though we don’t see much of the original side characters. That said, we do get some new people to help the story along (e.g., bigger focus on Jada, new people including Seb, Elio) and ultimately get the backdrop for a new story featuring Lando - with a tie in to Willa Hollis’ first book thus connecting the broader universe she’s created.
As I’ve come to expect from Hollis, The Libra Legacy is jam packed full of adventure, fast paced, and easy to get wrapped up in the plot. I enjoyed the plot and ultimately that is what kept me interested in this book.
I did struggle with this one a bit more since I found myself not liking nor understanding both Zellie and Jada. Zellie’s anger came across too out of control for me, driving her towards action that didn’t make sense, then not taking accountability for her actions. Meanwhile, Jada’s naïveté coupled with her quick changes in behavior made it feel more like a caricature than a fully logical character.
All in all I’m happy to have read this but I’m more excited for the upcoming book. 3.5 stars rounded up.
Thanks to Willa Hollis for providing me with an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
"I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.” The Libra Legacy. This book picks up immediately after the cliffhanger ending of book one, expanding the story through a dual point of view that follows Zellie and Jada. Zellie now possesses power originally meant for the Twelve Kosmos, and she intends to use it against them. Meanwhile, Jada, Zellie’s best friend from Lunara, is left grappling with unanswered questions surrounding Zellie’s disappearance, while also confronting her own lifelong habit of prioritising others at the expense of herself. When an unexpected opportunity to choose her own path arises, Jada is drawn into a much larger conflict. As the Kosmos Pluto opens portals allowing humans to visit Astralis, secretly manipulating them in the process, Jada becomes his first target. Zellie must stay ahead of those determined to destroy her, all while resisting the consuming pull of her own anger and darkness. A chance reunion in Astralis brings the two friends back together, but Zellie must now convince Jada of Pluto’s true nature and earn her trust once more. Both women struggle with self acceptance, fear of harming those they love, and the weight of making impossible choices. Unbeknownst to them, Jada holds the key to restoring balance and defeating the Kosmos. Together, they rise to the challenge only to be met with yet another powerful test and a gripping cliffhanger that leaves you eagerly anticipating the next book.💛
“Men like you don’t learn— enraging wild women only leads to your undoing.”
I honestly have no words. I devoured this book. Not in a way in which you read it in a day but it a way that I FORCED myself to not read it fast. I needed to savour the book and the story. I had to take my time and fall in love. And fall in love I did.
I love this series so far, it is honestly one of my favourite series EVER and I am beyond grateful to be apart of the street team in this book and The Gemini Games!
After finishing The Gemini Games I was in desperate need for the second book and now that I have read the second book I NEEDDDD the third 🤭
I loved Leo’s redemption arc. I hated him being the bad guy 😭. I’m glad that he has redeemed himself.
I went from wanting Leo to be the love interest in the first book to know wanting Orion. Orion and Zellie’s relationship is adorable and sweet. It is full of love and respect for each other. They both deserve endless happiness!
Getting to know Jada more and seeing her story was beautiful. I loved how she is a LGBTQ+ Queen, it made her so much more special as a character!
If I could rate this book more than five stars then I would. It is ♾️/10
Thank you so much for allowing me to be in your street team and ARC read this book! I am forever grateful for you and your amazing work!

The Libra Legacy is a stunning continuation of The Starborn Saga and a sequel that somehow manages to raise the stakes while deepening the heart of the story. Willa Hollis expands the world with confidence and care, delivering a book that feels richer, darker, and more emotionally charged than the first.
The character development truly shines here. Every choice carries weight, every relationship is tested, and the emotional growth feels earned rather than rushed. I especially loved how balance — true to Libra’s essence — is woven through the narrative, shaping both the magic system and the characters’ internal struggles. The themes of destiny, loyalty, and sacrifice are explored with nuance, making the story feel meaningful as well as thrilling.
The pacing is excellent, blending moments of quiet reflection with high-stakes action and revelations that kept me turning pages late into the night. The magic feels more dangerous, the conflicts more personal, and the consequences very real. This book doesn’t shy away from difficult choices, and that’s what makes it so powerful.
By the end, I was completely invested — emotionally attached, a little heartbroken, and desperately eager for what comes next. The Libra Legacy is a brilliant, immersive sequel that cements The Starborn Saga as a must-read for fantasy lovers.
Happily Booked PR send me a new book to review. This time: 'The Libra Legacy' by Willa Hollis. As this is book 2 in the series and I didn't read book 1, they also send me the first book (The Gemini Games).
When I started the first book, I really had to start reading without any assumptions. As I am not a frequent fantasy reader, I had some trouble understanding all kind of words and meanings (as English is also not my native language). But after a few chapters I was sucked in the story of Zellie. In this first book she receives magical powers after winning the Gemini Games and this book gave me Hunger Games feelings.
The story continues in the second book, but this book is slightly darker than the first one, as Zellie has all these powers but is so full of anger towards the Kosmos. And I really understood her anger! All this anger has its climax in the end of the book.
This second book sucked me in as well. I really like the writing of Willa Hollis, the short chapters as well as the change of perspective. I read the book within a day! As the first book gave me Hunger Games feelings, this book was a mix of Harry Potter (Deathly Hallows) and some twisted dark romance. (I'm quite a fantasy newby ;)). As Harry Potter is one of my favourites, you can guess what I thought of this book, right?
The Libra legacy is book 2 in The Starborn Saga, and picks up right where book 1, The Gemini Games, left off.
Like the first book, this one is fast paced, with little room to dive into the characters feelings. The first half of the book slows down a bit, and introduces a new POV. Jada gives us a different perspective on the whole Kosmos and Astralis business. There's not much really happening, but we get some world building and the aftermaths of what happened at the end of book 1.
The second part is where the action picks back up, and it really felt like a collections of stuff happening all at once, with little time to take it in and elaborate.
What really bothers me is that all characters feel rather flat, mono-dimensional. Each of the main characters has a distinctive trait, and that's it, there's little to no evolution, and if there's some change is barely analyzed.
While I think the concept is very interesting, and the world building super cool, I feel like these books could have been so much more, if slowed down a bit and given the chance to really connect with the reader. Fast paced shouldn't mean superficial.
The Libra Legacy was an interesting continuation of the universe, but for me it didn’t hit as hard as The Gemini Games. The focus shifts to Jada, Zellie’s best friend and I did enjoy watching her step into her role as the Libra Legacy, gaining the Starlight and actively assisting in the rebellion.
That said, her journey started off a bit slow. She was clearly tempted by Pluto’s attention, not realizing it was all part of a larger plot, which made parts of the story drag for me. Still, I was genuinely happy when she finally saw the truth for herself and stepped fully into who she was meant to be that moment was satisfying and well earned.
The world building remains strong, but the pacing felt uneven. Some sections lingered too long, while important rebellion moments felt rushed, which dulled the emotional impact. Overall, it’s a solid addition to the series, just not as gripping or intense as its predecessor.
Tropes: • Dystopian rebellion • Chosen one energy • Female friendship • Power awakening • Found family
Worth reading if you’re invested in the series and want more insight into the rebellion just temper expectations if you’re coming straight off The Gemini Games.

This was a really good read. And a great continuation of the series. After the cliff I was left hanging off of with The Gemini Games I was so excited to delve into this new chapter of the story. And I was not disappointed. The struggles Zellie faces, both physically and mentally (looking at you Pluto), made this book more intriguing and captured me from the very start. I wasn’t sure how I was gonna feel about Jada when we first were introduced. Zellie is conflicted with what she’s become and is fighting a battle within herself, and Jada was making that worse with her own struggle to understand. It made me unsure of her. But I eventually accepted her and understood why she was there. And of course my main love Orion was just the normal swoon inducing self. Wouldn’t change a thing. The spice we got in this installment was particularly tantalizing. The character development, both new and continuing, was outstanding. How Willa can get so much depth and detail out of so many characters and the intricate world that’s been built is absolutely exceptional. This book was truly an amazing sequel and I find myself immediately needing more.
This book picks up right where book 1 in The Starborn Saga series left off. Following our BA FMCs Jada and Zellie. It was fast-paced while never failing to give ample detailed world-building and character complexities. This book had everything I love about reading fantasy without it being so long, drawn out, and repetitive. I loved all the intergalactic elements that were woven throughout. One of my favorite things about Jada and Zellie is that they are amazing while still being flawed which makes them more realistic to me. The spice never takes away from the plot it only adds more juiciness to the story. There's never a dull moment, this book was an absolute wonderful ride full of action and I can't wait for the next/last book in this amazing series! I'll be here on the edge of my seat...

Thank you Happily Booked PR and Willa Hollis for the opportunity to read this book.
This second installment in the Starborn Saga picks up right where book one left off, and what a ride! After the chaos of the Gemini Games, Zellie is grappling with loss, revenge, and a prophecy that could change everything. Meanwhile, her best friend Jada is drawn to the City of Wonder by a pull she can’t explain, stepping into a world of Celestials, secrets, and political intrigue.
The story expands beautifully with new characters, redemption arcs, and high-stakes battles, while still giving us plenty of time with our favorites (and maybe not-so-favorites). There’s tension, betrayal, and a looming question: can Zellie and Jada’s friendship survive as destinies collide?
This book is slower-paced than the first, with less “what-the-what” chaos but richer world-building and character development. There’s action, spice (no spoilers!), and a cliffhanger that will leave you eager for book three.
I loved the depth of the plot, the prophecy twist, and the way loyalty and trust are put to the test. A solid 4.5 stars, only because I wish it were longer! Highly recommend this series if you love celestial magic, fierce friendships, and stories where good and evil battle on an epic scale.
After reading The Gemini Games by Willa, I was really excited to jump back into the world she has created. The Libra Legacy immediately picks up where things left off in book 1, making it a perfect continuation in the series! We get to see Orion and Zellie’s relationship continue to grow, as well as Leo beginning his redemption arc (which I love to see! I was really rooting for him). One of my standout favorites was the character Jada, though. I loved getting her POV and learning more about her, and I’m excited to see what’s to come for her specifically in book three. I also really enjoyed the introduction of the newer characters, and I’m hoping to see more of them next. This book has really solidified the series for me as a fun read. The overall plot of the series really took off for me with this next installment and was full of action, especially toward the end. It was easy to get lost in the world Willa has created, and after being left with a bit of a cliffhanger, I’ll definitely be picking up book 3.
Thank you, Willa, for gifting me an early copy and allowing me to continue on as one of your ARC readers for this fun series
Wow 🤩 I was so excited to read this after the way the first book ended and this was everything I wanted and more. Zellie grappling with her newfound powers on top of her constantly simmering rage at Pluto made this an extremely entertaining read. Pluto was being extra manipulative as usual and when he brought Jada into the picture I was honestly really disappointed with her at first but she quickly proved herself and her worth. Orion was just meltingly swoon-worthy at all times. I didn’t want to forgive Leo in the beginning but by the end of the book I had definitely softened up on him a bit. There were some surprising new characters like Elio who played a pretty pivotal role in everything and I’m excited to see where that goes. There’s not a ton of spice in this but there’s a lot of tension and the spicy scenes we did get were extra tantalizing. Pluto was actually truly horrible in this and just ugh. I do not trust Lando, but I did until the end of the book, kind of hope I’m wrong about it though. This was truly unforgettable sequel and I need another book ASAP!
This story picks up where Gemini games left off but adds the perspective of Jada. Everything is different now, with zellie having absorbed the power that wasn’t meant for her and nobody knowing what that means. Zellie’s training is far from over and the trouble is just beginning. All of the people from the 1st book are back with some new characters added in. Also Jada is on Astralis as a guest of Pluto which causes strife between the 2 friends. Zellie’s storyline finishes up and Jada’s seems to as well with a set up for the next book in the series. As opposed to the previous book, this one was a slow burn for the romance and there was only one spice scene. This book was more focused on the conflict and resolution (finally) of the first book and the new conflicts that arise in this one. I didn’t fly through this one like I did the other one, at first it was just moving along slowly but it did pick up when the action started. I am excited to continue the series and wonder how long the series will be.
