After a brutal breakup leaves her questioning everything, Ollie Ashburn would rather collapse into herself like a dying star than go on vacation with her best friend, Vince Garrett, and his girlfriend, Kat Newton—the girl Ollie has been secretly in love with for months.
One plan-canceling text later, Vince and Kat are banging on her front door. Ollie is going on this trip, whether she’s willingly in the backseat or stuffed in the trunk.
The first night in the cabin took a dangerous turn, fueled by desperation and crisp mountain air, when a bout of lighthearted teasing ended with Kat kissing Ollie—spontaneous, reckless, and right in front of Vince.
Vince should be furious. But he isn’t.
One impulsive moment ignites a week of no boundaries and no holding back, as every desire is thoroughly explored—until there’s no going back for any of them.
Book three in the Disaster Bi Design series, Disastrous Desires, is a smutty Sapphic Bi-Awakening FFM Why Choose novella where a single impulsive kiss turns a cabin getaway into a life-altering tangle of desires that are just as messy as they are magnetic.
Darby Quinn writes spicy romances with heart, humor, and heat...emphasis on the heat. With a soft spot for morally gray characters, obsessive MMCs, and villains who get the girl, she crafts stories that will leave you breathless and begging for more.
When she's not writing, Darby is likely drinking a crisp Dr. Pepper, playing cozy video games, and wondering if the new story idea she just had is too wild.
Follow her for more stories that will make you laugh, swoon, blush, and rethink reading in public.
Oh, Darby Quinn, you have done it again. The second I think I am getting into a slump, you have an amazing book to pull me out of it, with yet another trio I fall in love with. Not to mention this book had me crying at more than one point, between the dedication, that one scene, and then the afterword, I was a mess. I see myself in each of these characters at least a little bit, and they were written perfectly. I love Ollie, and I love how she is basically the glue that holds everyone together. The way Kat was written is fantastic, and I love how bubbly she is. The way Kat and Ollie both attempt to make Vince more spontaneous is just perfect. This whole trio just works together perfectly, and God, I would take 17 more novellas of them just living their daily life.
Please go read all of the novellas in this series. They are all spectacular and hold a special place in my heart.

I honestly don’t know how to feel about this book. Think of it as paying for a full course meal, then the restaurant going out of business, closing up shop and taking away your food in the middle of a bite…..yeah, that bad. The book was going good and literally ends in the middle of a sentence (like who does that).
I had high hopes since the other two books were really good.
Darby Quinn does it again!! One of my all-time favorite quick and spicy plotline writers, and yet again, she provides the heavy spice nestled in nice and thick alongside a storyline that will give you all the feels for the characters! This 3rd installment to the Disasterous Bi Design collection is the first FFM set up in characters after her first two were MMF, and it didn't disappoint! She kept up with her big feels between characters and intense spice scenes as the simple nature of our relationship dynamic between all involved played out in a well paced, sweet story.
Kat and Vince may be in a relationship, but Vince's best female friend of 20 years, Ollie, holds a clear and devoted place in his life. So much so that any girlfriends of the past just can't hang with their loyalty to one another, and every relationship crashes and burns pretty quickly. Until Kat. Kat seems to find her own connection to Ollie as well as finds comfort in the deep love Vince has with his best friend which opens up a situation that all of them are about to be faced with together in a week get away to a cabin.
This close proximity set up has everyone chomping at the bit when Kat starts calling out signs of deeper connections between the three of them, some of which that could do more harm than good to the relationships at hand if not handled with the utmost care. The situation that plays out between these three is raw and open and shows how true care for another souls happiness can be split between more than two people and still create a whole heart. As they navigate the complex feelings and fears of the realities that come from walking your own laid path, they struggle with their heavy desires but can't seem to deny the pull they all feel for one another.
The week in the cabin becomes an open playground of freedoms in letting go of fear and grabbing what you want with both hands. This threesome sets a tone of taking such care of one another as they unwrap true feelings and embrace each of their independent needs that all together can be fulfilled in ways they have all needed for a long time.
The character identities in this book were fun and open and truly lovable. They all complimented each other so well. Each situation that came up carried its own emotion, and the emotions were definitely high within these pages. The depth of raw feelings interlaced with the raunchy toe curling spice was a pleasure to get lost in. Like always, Quinn writes spice that has you zoned out and lost within its depths of lustful desires. The dialog and back and forth during these scenes were some of my favorite parts as everyone shared nicely and ended heavily pleased. Including me.
This was an entertaining read with a well-balanced, lightly emotional plotline with fantastic spice scenes spaced out between the underlying situation at hand with our characters. The real fears and feelings of everyone felt so true and understandable, and the spice hit hard when it was its time to shine. There was nothing heavily complex or trying too hard, and in the end, I was left totally pleased like always with this author. If you are looking for a quick read that steams up your bedroom and has enough plot to make it feel deep enough that it isn't just spice driven even when it is, these books will do you good! Thanks, Darby Quinn!
I'm not going to pretend that this book didn't have a ton of spice, but if possible, it had even more heart. There is so much vulnerability in these pages, so much tenderness, and holding space for each other. The dynamics feel so real, and raw, and my heart ached for each of the characters more than once. How a book that is under 200 pages and is stuffed full of smut can have the emotional impact that it did, I can hardly make sense of.
I love how the characters talk to each other, how there is such trust between them even when they're uncertain or afraid. I love how everyone is an eager, enthusiastic participant. I love how Kat's bi-awakening is handled, it's not something done for Vince's enjoyment, it's not treated as a betrayal of her relationship, or some shameful experimental impulse. I love how Vince is emotionally grounded, he knows himself, he's very open and he doesn't center himself in moments that aren't about him, we love to see it. I love how Ollie is kind of a mess but we love her for it, she's not told that she needs to be different in order to be worthy, and even when she struggles, no one expects her to snap out of it, she's met where she's at, with love and compassion.
This is what a love story with three partners should be, everyone is engaged, everyone is connected, everyone loves and is loved. It's also a beautiful friends-to-lovers story, which is something I don't always connect with. I think Darby handled the nuance of this relationship with so much care, and yet you never feel like the spicy scenes are lacking. This book feels sweet, spicy, and healthy for what it represents, and I loved it.
This one was sweet. Cute throuple friends to lovers. The ending got me. As always, would read more on these characters. The look at their inner thoughts makes them all likeable in different ways, and their interactions are sweet and spicy. Favorite line was "Can hearts get a hard-on? Because my dick is no longer paying attention, but my heart is hard as fuck."
Absolutely loved this book! The chemistry between Ollie, Vince, and Kat was intense, emotional, and completely addictive. I didn’t expect to feel so much in such a short read, but it had the perfect balance of spice and heartfelt moments. The tension, the vulnerability, and the dynamic between all three characters kept me hooked from start to finish
I absolutely DEVOURED this novella and have zero regrets for the time I spent doing nothing other than turning pages. It was amazing, sexy, fun and I saw myself in the characters. I would 100% read any and every book Darby wrote/writes. And I'm on my way to do just that...
This would have been a four star read for the quality smut alone, regardless of how much I liked the characters, IF the author hired an editor/got a better editor. “Dammed” instead of “damned” nearly made me DNF, not to mention a “you’re” instead of “your.”
Not bad, but I really struggled to feel any chemistry between these three and it felt a little disjointed. I think the first book in this series remains the strongest in terms of character development and pacing.
Darby's done it again! I absolutely loved this story. is currently my fav from this series she's been building the characters are super relatable, the spicy is spicing great work
Darby Quinn does it again! This author KNOWS how to write a deliciously spicy yet sweet novella and has become my go to for those quick spicy reads that are just known to rip you straight out of any reading slump! I loved it and can't wait to read any future ones 🔥
I was waiting for this one after reading and re-reading and re-reading again the first two books. What can I say? I was and still am addicted🤭 I loved this story. It was funny, spicy, heartbreaking, healing and sweet. I want to bubblewrap all three of them and protect them at all cost. I can fight anyone🤺 I absolutely love how Darby writes. I’m hooked from page one and once I fiish readind I wish there was more so I don’t have to say goodbye to the characters.
