My first official day as Alpha started out amazing and I finally had the chance to tell my best friend how I felt about him. Finding him kissing my little brother was not what I had expected, and like any mature man, I ran away.
Cassian
There I was, finally free of my father and the big city, ready to live my life in a small town where I’d inherited a house. But on my way there, my life changed. Accidentally hitting a red wolf was the start of something beautiful. I’d just never expected the wolf I’d lovingly named Red to be a wolf shifter, or that shifters existed in the first place. It was a good thing Jeremy seemed just as intent on keeping me as I did him. Now we just needed to prove to his pack that a human being his fated mate, wasn't a mistake, and that I was somehow worthy of him.
Unknowingly Adopting the Alpha is a low angst paranormal romance with two men each longing for their happily ever after. One who escaped the life forced upon him and one freshly appointed Alpha. With kidnappings and pack members that disapprove, things are definitely not always easy.

〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
My God, reading her books is such an addiction! Once I start, I literally cannot stop until I'm finished.
I’ll always stand by the fact that Regitse’s prose is so effortless that you don’t even realize you’ve reached the end—her write and develop everything so beautifully. I have to say, this story really surprised me. I absolutely loved the characters. Jeremy is everything that is right in this world; the way he treats Cass from the very beginning made me fall for him even harder.
And Cass? I feel like he’s absolutely unhinged hahaha, but I loved the much-needed breath of fresh air he brought to the story with his antics and kindness. I’m so intrigued by Milo and Darius, but also Silas, Rowan, and Greg! I’m dying to find out if they’ll get their happy endings too 👀👀
The premise of this sounded so good! I will always pick up a fluffy werewolf romance 🥰
Unfortunately this was just ok/fine. 🫣 It was very surface level - no real depth to the characters or plot really. And I didn’t love the writing.
But it was still a cute fluffy time! Loved Cass (cinnamon roll incarnate) as one of the main characters. Jeremy was the predictable alpha type. I wish we had gotten more depth with Greg and that friendship - it was so cute!! 😊
A fun and lighthearted story with one human and one wolf shifter character! Jeremy is the new alpha of the Groove Vale pack, and Cassian is the new human in town, after inheriting a house from a grandfather and finally seeing this as his chance to get away from his father. They collide (quite literally), and Jeremy quickly discovers Cass is his fated mate… but how to broach that subject with a human, who doesn’t even know shifters exist?!
This is a quick read, fun and lighthearted—and I mean that in a way that not even being kidnapped is a scary or even stressful event for one of the main characters! There is some tension throughout the story, especially with a few of Jeremy’s pack members, but things get resolved… for the most part. And some things will definitely be resolved in the next book in the series, I’m sure!
While we have alphas and shifters and claiming marks and knotting, this is not an omegaverse story, as far as I can tell. But it’s a fun, small-town romance, and I look forward to the next story in this series!
I loved this low-angst, sweet, fated mates story! It started with a truly entertaining, rom-com “meet-cute.” I mean, if you consider getting hit by a car a meet-cute…
Cassian captured my heart immediately. I laughed out loud through the first few chapters. His innocent, no-filter, almost “himbo” thoughts were hilarious! I’m positive Jeremy fell for him in the same way. And I adored the way Jeremy’s “Red” rolled right over for Cass. Despite his past feelings for his best friend, he embraced his feeling for Cass and never looked back.
This series is certainly promising with a lot of lovable side characters I hope to see developed. Especially book 2, as I need to know about Milo’s issues like, yesterday!
Unknowingly Adopting the Alpha was such a cute comfort read for me.
I loved the dynamic between Jeremy and Cass so much. Jeremy’s protective energy mixed with how soft he becomes for Cass made their relationship really easy to get attached to. And watching Cass slowly find safety, comfort, and a place where he could fully be himself honestly made me so happy.
This book really shines in the quieter moments. The trust building, the care they show each other, and the little domestic moments all made the relationship feel genuine and comforting.
Regitse always does such a good job mixing emotional vulnerability with tension and spice, and this book definitely had both. But honestly, the emotional connection and devotion between Jeremy and Cass is what stuck with me the most.
Just an overall cozy, emotional paranormal romance that made me want to curl up with a blanket and stay in their world a little longer 🐺
The plot is 5/5 but spice is 2/5 but I love how the plot keeps you engaged. My poor Cass has to deal with a father like that but I’m glad he had 2 packs to back him up. I love how Jeremy was always trying to be honest but took to the name “Red” and let himself be kidnapped. I love these two but I can’t wait to see why Milo treated his brother the way he did in his book.
Little too sweet for me. I didn’t feel any connection to either character. It moved way too fast. Probably a good palette cleanser when you need something with absolutely no angst and minimal character growth. This author is more of a hit or miss for me this one just wasn’t for me.
Unknowingly Adopting the alpha by Regitse Liljadorff is the first book in her Groove Vale Pack series. It is the story of an Alpha wolf who stumbles upon his human mate and how he slowly acclimates him to knowing werewolves are real, being his mate, and life in the pack with some twists and turns along the way. Jeremy has just been named the Groove Pack Alpha by his father who wants to retire. He is happy with this and wants to be the best Alpha he can but he also knows his younger brother, Milo, really coveted the job and is sorely disappointed when he doesn’t get it. Jeremy has secretly loved his best friend, Darius, and goes to tell him that he wants him as his mate when he finds him kissing Milo so he runs away in wolf form and then gets hit by a car that is owned by Cassian Balone. Cassian has left the city where his father owns a large company that buys and sells big properties. But his father rejected and dismissed him and expected submission and loyalty that he couldn’t give him so when his grandfather left him his house in Groove Vale he jumped at the chance to leave the city and his job. He was horrified when he hit the wolf and took him to the vet, not knowing that he was Jeremy’s father, and didn’t like it when they laughed at him, since they knew who the wolf was all along. He decided to adopt him and took him home with him, calling him Red. When he got to the house it was a mess having been neglected for a long time and knew he had to spend some of the money he had saved to fix it. For some reason he felt very safe and protected with Red, which he knew was unusual for being around a wild animal but kept him anyway and even cuddled with him when sleeping that night. When he woke up Red was gone and he decided that maybe he had been a figment of his imagination. But Red had changed back into Jeremy when his father came for him and he realized that Cass was his fated mate. This led to a whole string of dilemmas such as how to tell him he can shift into a wolf, that he is the pack Alpha, what being his mate meant, and that there were two wolves in the pack, Marcus and his son Fillian, who would not accept a human into the pack, let alone as Alpha Mate. He also talked to Darius and tried to find out about his relationship with Milo and also that Cass was his mate. Then Cass was kidnapped by the nearby Brown Pack who had found out who he was to Jeremy but that turned out to be a fun time for him as he got to know Greg, Rowan, and their Alph Silas and that they didn’t mean him any harm but wanted to be friends with him. Jeremy rescues him and changes into Red and so starts Cass’s journey into learning about the pack. There are a few bumps along the road but Cass has felt something for Red/Jeremy from the moment he found him and those feelings are growing. They work together on Cass’s house, talk, and Cass learns how he could fit in with the pack. When he’s ignored at a diner while Jeremy is talking to Darius, he leaves and goes to a pet store where Greg works and gets a cat, Daisy. They make up after a horrible night alone, talk about being mates and the claiming ceremony. Meanwhile Cass’s father shows up with some demands, Milo is making family problems, and Marcus and Fillian cause a big scene after Cass has declared that he is Jeremy’s mate, where Cass gets hurt. This leads to them declaring their love for each other, having a hot love scene, and there is a surprise in the end that involves the Brown Pack so everyone can have their happy ending. I really enjoyed this book. Cassian has not had an easy life with an unloving father but relishes his freedom and living his life the way he wants to. He is immediately attracted to Jeremy, especially his wolf, but doesn’t know why. Jeremy has some family problems with his brother and Darius but knows he wants to be a strong a respected Alpha. Once he scents Cass as his fated mate, he has to figure out how to tell him about everything but it helps that Cass realizes he belongs with him. There is family drama on both sides and pack problems but together they overcome them. Both fathers, Darius, Milo, Greg, Silas, Marcus, and Fillian as well as the packs all play a big part in the story in ways that help the couple and also cause problems for them. I highly recommend this book, especially if you like stories that involve shifters and humans that don’t know they exist until one of them falls for the Alpha, families that help and hinder their relationship, and how they fall in love.
I was provided with an ARC by the GRR in exchange for an honest review. These are my real sentiments about the story and everything written here is respectful, without meaning to harm anyone, but to offer my opinion as constructive criticism/compliments. Thank you, GRR and Regitse, for the opportunity!
⭐⭐.75 / 5 - Rounded up to 3 🔥/ 5
Couple: Cassian and Jeremy.
Structure: 1st person. Past tense. Dual POV. First book in a series.
This was a really cute story. Cassian was the kind of innocent, ray-of-sunshine character I love, especially with his love and care for pets. Jeremy was the adorable wolf who completely simp to his fated mate. They were both really sweet together, and their story was a good pastime, especially after reading some heavier ones.
What made me not give this book a higher rating was just that there was SO MUCH potential to dive depeer into a lot of things that were just glossed over. It felt like it touched some subjects, only to retract and resolve it all in a way that felt a bit too simple for me. It all made sense, I'd just like to have seen more about the characters, have more complexity to their emotions and actions. I think it all came down to the pacing, maybe. It felt like everything happened a bit too fast and there were information missing that would've made the story and characters even more captivating.
I did like Cass' friendship with Greg a lot, it was entertaining. The Darius, Milo and Jeremy thing bothered me a bit, and I would not have been as chill with it as Cass was, but I guess he's a better, more mature person than I am hahaha I would also have liked to know more about the packs, their culture, formation, history, way of living. Also, to the ones wondering, this is not an omegaverse story! It's a shifter story, yes, but it does not use the omegaverse concepts and world-building.
Overall, I think this might be a nice story for those who want something extremely light and fast to read. It worked well for me in-between heavier books.
First of all, happy Release Day @regitseliljadorff 💗💗
I don’t know if you guys know this but I owe so much to my fellow Dane. Because Regitse taught me how to read romantasy! And to love it! And to write it too! What?! Yes!
I was fortunate enough to read an advanced copy of Unknowingly Adopting the Alpha, and here’s what I absolutely adored about this book!
🦊 Jeremy the Wolf shifter and alpha pack leader! (Yes, yes, I know this is the fox emoji but the Wolf one is fluffing creepy and Jeremy is not creepy. He is yummy-licious, sweet, and adorable!
🚗 Hilariously funny meet cute (this is so typically Regitse!)
🐻 Most adorable kidnapping scene EVER! Only Regitse can write a kidnapping-turned-slumber party scene like that 🤣🤣🤣
🦊 Jeremy! 😮💨😮💨🤤🤤🫠🫠🫦🫦
🪢 No, this is not bonding! This is to show how tight knit the found family is that Caspian gets! Amazing! Bye bye, evil city dad (damn, I loathe that guy!) and welcome extended (friendly for the most part) shifter family.
🔥 This is a book with a slow build-up and I love those. It’s not super steamy but the smexy times are super hot, sweet, and everything!
🦊 I feel like I’m forgetting something… oh wait! Did I mention Jeremy?! Book boyfriend extraordinaire!
😱 The drama! No Regitse Liljadorff book without a fair amount of drama, twists and turns, and a little blood and battle! Again written with such humor and sweetness (still gore though!)
💕 Intriguing side-characters! There is a side plot I’m dying to read and I hope we get it sooner rather than later! Cause those two are gonna kill me, I just know it! Bring on the pining 🥹🥹🥹💗💗💗
Overall this was a really great read that I highly recommend if you enjoy a huge dose of quirky humor with your romance. The banter is super cute and there are so many adorable details about Adopting an Alpha shifter Wolf 🤣🤣🤣 if you ever adopt one, use this book as a manual! 📖
And finally, did I mention Jeremy? I feel I have but not enough. I want you to understand how yummy and amazing he is, and I’m not sure I’ve made myself entirely clear, so here it goes: you can read the book, but he is MINE! MINE, motherfluffers!
Thank you Gay Romance Reviews and the author for the ARC
“Unknowingly Adopting the Alpha” is an adorable quick paranormal romance between a human oblivious that shapeshifters exist and a shapeshifter, who’s a total idiot! Seriously, Jeremy is sometimes so out of his element, not knowing what to do to make Cass happy, when all he has to do is be himself and love and cherish Cass! Jeremy has been elected alpha and now he wants to tell Darius that they should be mates. Little problem! Darius is sucking Jeremy’s face. Heartbroken Jeremy shifts and runs away, just to be hit by Cassian’s car. Cassian sees the wolf, panics and tends to the animal, not knowing that he just met his mate.
Cassian and Jeremy’s relationship is rocky at best! Cassian is really sweet and adorable, he’s trying his best to start over, and even when he's kidnapped, he has the nicest kidnappers ever! His POV really melt my heart because he’s really a good person who deserved everything good! Jeremy, while trying his best to take care of his mate, sometimes he’d be really stuck on the Darius thing and argh! You really just want to knock some sense into him! Darius is JUST A FRIEND, Jeremy! Cassian is your true love! He’s the one who deserves your full attention!
Of course, this is a romance, so everything will end well, but I still loved that Cassian had some self-worth and was not willing to take BS from his mate. Good for you, honey! You show that alpha who’s boss!
I’m really excited for the next book that features Darius and Jeremy’s brother! I feel it’s going to be really intense..
“Unknowingly Adopting the Alpha” is sweet, cute, low angst and really nice! I read it during my flight to the Azores, and it was the best thing to read on such a short trip. It was enjoyable, and it made me happy.
So, maybe it isn't the best way to meet your fated mate. A bit traumatic hitting a wolf and having him turn into a man. Then there's the Yes Virginia, wolf shifters DO exist. And hey, I'm your mate. This small town isn't a bad place. There's no friendly, helpful neighbors. Just a bit of denial. And an unwillingness to accept a human alpha-mate. A bit of angst and tension, a really bad kidnapping. Mostly, this was a fun quick read. Spice level was acceptable. We get claiming and knotting. It's not a new concept. We go solidly down the mating trope. But Regitse Liljadorff kept it lite and floofy. An enjoyable way to while away an afternoon. I received an advanced copy from GRR and this is my review.
is my review.
fun and lighthearted story with one human and one wolf shifter character! Jeremy is the new alpha of the Groove Vale pack, and Cassian is toverwhelminhe new human in town, after inheriting a house from a grandfather and finally seeing this as his chance to get away from his father.
So I actually love the concept of shifters, wolves and otherwise, but I'm also very peculiar about it. The blurb for this book truly captured my attention and I had hope I would love this book.
I didn't hate it. I didn't once think of DNFing. It was cute, sweet and low-angst with tons of cinnamon rolls who you can't help but want to wrap in a hug and pat on the head. It was a light and quick read. And for a palate cleanser this might work for you.
I also didn't love it. I get that it's a low-angst romcom, but the way some things were handled was a little cringey. I really didn't like the sexual relationship between the two MCs. I skipped over most of the scenes.
It was also pretty clear to me that this was one of those 'first of a series'-books that are used to introduce all the characters of the upcoming books. Which is fine in general. I love a series. But when you get introduced to new characters 80% into the book it gets confusing.
So my first read by this author isn't my favorite, but I would certainly try another book by this author when it crosses my path.
3 stars!
I received this book as an ARC through Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest review.
Cassian had big plans, moving to Groove Vale. He inherited a house and inventory from his grandad. He finally could escape his dad and the town he lived in. Nature and coziness were what he needed instead of the noise of a big town and a demanding father who wanted to use him for his own benefit.
Entering Groove Vale he accidentally hit a red wolf. The animal was hurt, Cass took him with him, and named him Red. Once recovered he’ll let him go back to the forest.
Jeremy is running away in his wolf form, in shock and with a broken heart. He’s the newly appointed alpha and wanted to open up to his best friend about his feelings for him. Instead, he finds him kissing Jeremy’s younger brother. Running and running and then hit by a car. Smelling delicious scents Jeremy realizes the guy who hit him and took him home is his fated mate. Only, the sweet man is human and probably doesn’t know about shifters, fated mates, or pack leaders.
Cass is a talker so Jeremy, still in wolf form, gets to know his mate better. He could watch him unashamed.
The story is fun, lighthearted, and low angst, a delight to read for sure! Cas and Jeremy are adorable, sweet, and easygoing, they even offer us some spicy moments. There are only a few nasty moments and even these were mild. A wonderfully written romance, where you can sit back and enjoy the show without stress.
I read the ARC at the right time after being emotionally brutalized by a prior book lol
This was such a sweet, low-angst wolf shifter romance with a delightfully chaotic start, because nothing says “fated mates” like accidentally hitting your future partner with a car. From there, it turns into this soft, cozy mix of small-town life, pack vibes, and instant “mine” energy between Jeremy and Cassian that somehow feels both fast and it was just so them.
Cassian is pure sunshine human energy, somehow lovable to everyone without even trying. While Jeremy is very much in his “I will rearrange my entire life for you” era, extremely protective, extremely gone for Cass. Their relationship leans into fated mates, but still gives them room to figure each other out and actually build something sweet, which I really liked.
The found family vibes and side characters make everything feel warm and weirdly comforting, and even the pack drama never really gets too heavy before it gets softened by fluff, food, or affection.
Overall, it’s a quick, feel-good read full of cuddles, humour, and soft romance. If you like fluffy shifter stories with bi-awakening vibes, devoted mates, and a cozy small-town setting, this is an easy comfort read.
Now I am in need of magical muffins, cuddles with Red, and a kidnapping movie night sleepover with friends lol
Jeremy’s first day as alpha did not go as planned. He wanted to celebrate with his best friend and hopefully share even more. Instead, he found him kissing his younger brother, Milo. He ran away and right into the path of Cassian’s car. Cassian had just left the city and was planning on moving into a house he inherited. Hitting a huge red wolf was not part of his plans. He decided to keep the wolf and named him Red. It turns out Red is so much more. He is a wolf shifter and knows that Cassian is his mate. Unfortunately, Cassian knows nothing of shifters and he is not sure his pack will accept a human.
It turns out Cassian is very good at reading people. He recognizes troublemakers, people with a grudge, and those up to no good. He had no problem accepting shifters for the most part. He was unsure about some other aspects. Jeremy had so much on his plate – a new alpha, a pack coming into his territory, losing his best friend to his brother, and a human mate. Your heart and soul will go out to these two as they muddle through everything. They will bring smiles to your face and also a few other thoughts, like “Oh, No”. All-in-all, this was a fun read with just the right touch of humor and calamity perfect for those of us who enjoy that. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
I never knew I would enjoy a shifter’s story as much as I did with this new to me author’s series!
“You saw the guy you liked kiss your little brother and then got hit by my car?!”
“Best meet cute ever.”
Meet Cassian Balone- a sweet cinnamon roll of a human that can’t help people falling for him, be it platonic or romantic such is his sassy, sweet, possessive personality!
Inheriting his grandfather’s dilapidated house brought more than he expected into his lonely life…
Meet Jeremy- Alpha Red Wolf Shifter of the Groove Vale pack unrequitedly in love with his best friend until fate steps in and sends him his fated mate- a human!
“Nope,” I declared. “He’s mine now. I’m adopting him and will heal him myself.”
This is their sweet, cute, adorable and quick love story about finding your perfect person and found family during kidnappings that turn into sleepovers, pack business trouble that gets gritty and a beautiful Main Coon queen called Daisy! 🐱🌼
You can’t help falling for these two characters as they are just relationship goals with Cotton candy sweetness and muffin licious magic!
The side characters- Darius(Jeremy’s best friend) and Milo (Jeremy’s bratty younger brother) will have their say next, I can’t wait!
I voluntarily received an ARC from GRR and the author for an honest non biased review.
UNKNOWINGLY ADOPTING THE ALPHA is the first book in the Groove Vale Pack, and if you're looking for a lighthearted, low angst shifter story, you've come to the right place.
It begins with Cass leaving the city for a new life, away from his cold father. He has all of these dreams, but running over a red wolf wasn't in any of them. Jeremy has taken over as alpha of the pack, when he sees his best friend, Darius, (whom he's 'loved' for many years) kissing his younger brother, Milo, who is also p!ssed that Jeremy got the alpha position. Still with me? Good!
This was a great story, with plenty of communication and the building of their relationship, before the s3xy stuff gets in the way. I found it to be hilarious in places, as well as sweet and heartwarming.
I think this was a brilliant introduction to the series, and I can't wait to continue it and see more of my favourite characters. Definitely recommended by me. 4.5 rounded up.
** Same worded review will appear elsewhere. **

Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books! May 5, 2026
There was so much potential in the story... That’s a phrase I don’t really like, because everyone interprets it differently. The story is good—let me say that up front—and sweet. In shifter romance, there isn’t much variation in how the couple’s relationship develops when it comes to fated mates, but this was still handled in a nice and sweet way. However, a lot happens very quickly.
While reading, I felt like I was falling from one action-packed scene to the next, and pretty much everything happened. Small town, meddling, magic or special healing abilities, the father who just happens to need his son to save the company, the brother who has completely different problems, and then the rival pack bordering their territory that first kidnaps the prospective mate and then falls in love with him—muffins and all. And that’s not even everything. In a very strange way, it actually works, but still, everything happens very fast. And there’s a lot of it. But it’s sweet. Anyone who loves shifter romance will definitely find plenty here, and Red is truly someone to fall in love with, but you shouldn’t look too deeply into the plot. Entertaining and a quick read.
I picked this up because the premise sounded fun and the start was great. Cassian leaving his father’s firm, accidentally hitting Jeremy (in wolf form), and then taking care of him like he’s a chihuahua? Hilarious. The whole “Cassian becoming a cat dad” vibe was super cute.
As the story went on, though, it introduced a lot of different tropes and plotlines, like pack tensions, family dynamics, past relationships, and outside conflicts. While these are all elements I usually enjoy in shifter romances, there were quite a few packed into a relatively short book (under 200 pages), which made it harder for each one to feel fully developed.
I also struggled a little with Cassian’s characterization at times, as he occasionally felt younger than expected.
The romance and spice also didn’t fully land for me. The combination of certain tropes like a bi-awakening alongside a more “virgin alpha” dynamic felt a bit hard to believe in the way it was portrayed.
That said, I do think readers who enjoy light, trope-filled shifter romances with fated mates might still have fun with this one.
I really enjoyed this story; the idea was so adorable. I couldn’t put it down. Even though this was my first time reading a book by this author, I feel like I might have missed something, even though it was the first in the series. Looks like my TBR is about to get even longer!
Jeremy is feeling on top of the world after discovering he is now the leader of his pack. He wants to share the big news with his best friend and also tell him that he's in love with him. But when he finds him, he realizes that Jeremy and his brother are hiding a secret. This makes Jeremy run away, and what follows is maybe the most unusual meet-cute ever—he gets hit by a human’s car! Don't worry, Cass is more than ready to take care of this wolf and keep him safe forever. Imagine a Disney Princess, but way cooler.
There was some tension within the pack, but overall, the story moved at a nice pace for anyone looking for a quick, sweet, and swoony read.
I got a free copy of this book, and these are my honest thoughts and opinions.
This book I ate up very fast. The author mixed MM romance, wolf shifter, paranormal elements, and fated mates, YES PLEASE!! This the first book in the Groove Vale Pack Series this book was about Cassian & Jeremy. Jeremy was A New Alpha to the Groove Vale pack. He found the man he wanted to be with kissing another and he ran away. While running in his red wolf form, he was hit by Cassian. Cassian was a new human in town who inherited his grandfather's house after he passed. This was Cassian way to escape from his Loulou father. One thing led to another, and Cassian took Jeremy wolf form home and named him red. Then Cassian figured out his red wolf was Jeremy and was a wolf-Shifter. It turned out that Jeremy and Cassian were Fated Mates That is when the fun began. They had to convince the pack that Cassian was Jeremy mate and that even though he was human everything was okay. Overall, this was an amazing book. I loved it and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series when it is released.
Unfortunately, this one just really missed the mark for me. When I first read what the story was going to be about, it sounded incredibly promising, and I was genuinely excited going into it. Even knowing this was a fated mates story where there’s supposed to be that instant connection, I still felt like there was very little depth between the characters. I never really got the chance to fully believe in them as a couple or see them truly fall in love beyond the bond itself.
The plot also felt very jumpy at times. Instead of flowing like a cohesive story, it often came across more like scattered thoughts being placed on the page. Because of that, it was sometimes difficult to stay fully engaged or follow along. Every time a plot point started to catch my interest, it felt like it was resolved within a page, if not less, before immediately moving on to something else.
Overall, I just wanted more depth, stronger development, and a little more time spent letting both the romance and the plot breathe.
Unknowingly Adopting The Alpha Groove Vale Pack book 1 Regitse Lilljidorf
Cassian & Jeremy
Paranormal Wolf shifter / Human Fated Mates Taking things in stride Found family Bi-awakening
Cassian is the greenest I have ever read. What a sweetheart of a man. He was so precious lol He literally made best friends with his “kidnappers” (there was no harm done to him) aside from a new favorite muffin recipe lol.
I just literally adored this book
I just adore the world building Reitse creates. This was such a fun book I read it in one day.
They were so sweet together. Oh, my heart. What a beautiful book.
We got a little action here too, with pack members and some family too.
Cass is so perfect, what a guy he is. I am so glad these two found each other.
What a wonderful book, I cannot wait to read more from these characters and this world.
This has to be the most adorable shifter story I have ever read!!,
Cassian’s just the biggest puppy dog I have ever met and he’s not even the shifter! He is this lovable soul who wants to see the best in everyone, but don’t assume that makes him naive! Life lessons have taught him how to read a person (or wolf’s) character swiftly and with surprising accuracy! He is the perfect alpha’s mate.
Jeremy is an alpha without being an alpha hole! It’s refreshing! He loves his pack, his family and his mate with a fierceness only an alpha can understand. For him to meet his fated mate on the same day his brother breaks his heart is a lovely twist and what a meet cute!
This story is both a delightful insight to Jeremy and Cassians relationship while gently introducing to the wider world of the Groove Vale Pack. And I’m looking forward to find out exactly what Milo has to say for himself in Book 2! Lucy, you got some splaining to do!!
This was such a fun and easy paranormal romance to sink into. Jeremy and Cassian were really sweet together, and I loved how quickly Jeremy went from dealing with Alpha responsibilities to trying to figure out how to explain “surprise, werewolves are real” to his human mate.
Cassian was easy to like as well. After everything with his father, watching him finally find somewhere he could belong felt really satisfying. His reactions to discovering shifters existed added some genuinely funny moments, and I liked that the story kept a lighter tone even when there was danger or pack drama happening in the background.
The fated mate connection was instant, but the relationship still felt warm and genuine as they learned to trust each other. There’s definitely setup for more conflict in future books, especially with some of the pack tensions, and I’m interested to see where the series and the characters go next. I received a free arc copy and this is my honest review
Unknowingly Adopting the Alpha was a cute fun fast paced read. This book fallows Jeremy and Cassian from strangers to Friends to lovers. Jeremy is running from his fellings of seeing his brother and best friend/cruch kissing and gets hit by Cassians Car. Cass is running from the everyday Slog of corporate responsibility and his idiotic Father when he hits Jeremy. Communicate was vary Key in this book and there relationship. I did feel like the relationship moved vary fast witch Cass states in the book he fells it is to. But Jeremy was Very persistent and pushy I feel. The relationship moved fast for example once Jeremy was hit by the car moved Cass into his house a week later under the guys that Cass house was being renovated. Over all I did enjoy the book and reading it and will keep up with the series to see what happens next.

“You saw the guy you liked kiss your little brother and then got hit by my car?!” Laughing even harder, I nodded. “Best meet cute ever.”
What a fun adorable read from a new-to-me author Regitse Liljadorff. This is book 1 in a new series, Groove Vale Pack. I can't wait for book 2, Unknowingly Being his Brat (Darius and Milo’s book).
I haven't read anything quite like this before. Parts of the book had me laughing out loud and smiling till my face hurt. Cassian had the sweetest personality and most everyone loved him. He rolls with the punches at every turn. I wish I had a friend just like him.
Human/shifter, fated mates, two competitive brothers, first times, a father with his own agenda, wolf cuddles are the best, being kidnapped is not as bad as you would think
Car accident meet cute anyone ? When Cassian inherent his grandpa’s house in a quit town away from home, he doesn’t hesistate and leaves his old boring dreadful life behind and moves in ! When he drives towards the town, lost in thoughts, he hits a giant red wolf who crosses the road. Feeling bad he gets the animal in his car and takes it home to take care of it.
What he doesn’t know is that he hit an alpha wolf shifter!!
Things get a bit crazy when Cassian is kidnapped ( by the nices kidnappers know to man) , and Jeremy , aka the red wolf needs to rescue Cas!
This story is low angst and even tho stuff happens , it’s never super heavy ! The spice was great and i just love a good knotting! (This is a shifter story, not omegaverse !)
Again, Regitse is the queen of low angst cute love stories and as usual it was adorable and i loved it!
Cass was such a fun mix of naive and a little sassy, and I’m a total sucker for characters who are clueless in the cutest way and adored by everyone around them. He was the perfect mate for Jeremy. This was a slow burn, but there was some spice.
The writing felt a little on the simpler side at times, but in a way that still let the heart of the story come through, and there were definitely moments I appreciated. Some characters completely won me over, while others had me wanting to shake them, which honestly made the story more entertaining. The angst level was just right, and it was satisfying to see certain characters get what they deserved.
Milo was a brat, but there were glimpses of something more underneath, and I’m really looking forward to the next book to see how he ended up with that brat‑like image in the first place.
