Every artist needs different conditions to thrive. Discover yours through the metaphor of a natural ecosystem. Work your way through this 10 week creative retreat to discover how your mind, body, and soul's needs are interconnected with your art.
A while ago, I got the chance to work through Sarah Shotts' Discover Your Creative Ecosystem prompts, which unlocked little bits of my brain and got me feeling like maybe I am actually an artist, and that I needed to create to feel fulfilled, instead of treating creation and crafting as a reward. Working through the weekly prompts allowed me to understand myself and what I needed a little more, which was amazing!
Now, they have developed those challenges and prompts into a beautiful book (and workbook)! During the start of this year, I slowly worked back through it. I enjoyed creating a collage of my inner landscape in the, and all of the reflection and microadventure prompts.
Anyway, I loved it, and recommend for everybody, but especially anyone who wants to learn a little more about themselves creatively, in a peaceful, sitting-by-the-creek and listening-to-the-water-flow kind of way. Also highly recommend if you read The Artist's Way and felt that it was a little too demanding of you.
