Junior readers will love the latest edition to the Bravepaw series.
Suspense and danger abound but bravery and kindness prevail.

Bravepaw and the Fangstone of Flintfall is a fast paced story about being brave, making hard decisions and trusting your instincts. The story has underlying themes of empathy and helping others.

I absolutely love this series and if you have a reluctant reader this is the series to give them. Guaranteed un-put-downable and sure to be read over and over. Bravepaw and the Fangstone of Flintfall will have your child hooked on fantasy.

Titch and her best friends Huckleberry and Dollop have been joined by Briar, a very brave, sword-wishing squirrel. Their quest is clearer now that they know they must find and and complete Titch's staff with the remaining Gems of Harmony.

They have found one called the Clawstone which they had to defeat a possessed turtle for, but still need the Fangstone, the Dreamstone and the Songstone.

They've learnt of a wise librarian who has knowledge of the Fangstone, but first they must fight off giant silverfish to meet him. With his advice they set off again and with the help of their Bear Eagle friend Earna, they find themselves on a very windy and rocky landscape, surrounded by sharp boulders like teeth.

A local discovers them and offers them help, which may not be the best idea after all. They don't have a lot of choice as they descend into the underground caverns that are said to hold the Fangstone.

It's not all they find deep below ground. Monsters, betrayal and a gut wrenching choice must be made. But Titch knows it's all part of the new legacy of Bravepaw.

This series just gets better and better! Monsters, menace and mayhem are all in the mix as Titch learns more everyday about being a hero.

Most of that is being scared but stepping up to her fears, believing in herself and doing what she has to do, anyway.

A comforting pat of her fluffy friend Dollop always helps, and the support of her bestie Huckleberry at her side.

One of the scariest things of this episode is the real possibility of losing Huckleberry's friendship.

Titch’s quest to find the Gems of Harmony continues in this third instalment in the Bravepaw series! We get a new adventure with some be friends and fresh settings (I loved the library!).

We truly love this series in my household. The pages are punctuated with delightful illustrations that help to keep younger readers engaged with the story. While Miss Ten may now be reading above the level that she was when we started this series, she still enjoys the storylines and spending time with Titch and her friends.

The large font also helps to make the stories accessible for younger readers and font is often varied to help add emphasis to phrases.

A gorgeous cosy fantasy series about friendships and believing in oneself. Perfect for the young reader in your life.

Thanks so much to Allen and Unwin NZ for gifting us this book to review!
