The Hunt might be over, but my real problems have only just begun.
Torn from my mates and locked in an enchanted castle crawling with lethal fae, I’m expected to wait quietly while the corrupt Council dictates my fate.
My mates promised they would come for me, but I’ve never been the type to wait around for a rescue. I’ll escape the Council’s cruel hold, and when I do, they’re going to regret ever kidnapping a human like me.
Except the castle is hiding more than just secrets, and when I cross the wrong fae, I find myself entangled in something far more dangerous than imprisonment.
Because this place? It might be exactly where I’m supposed to be.
With everything I thought I’d lost.
Their Crown Jewels is the finale of the Monster Mate Hunt series, packed with fated mates, deadly fae politics, and a heroine who refuses to kneel. It is a fast-burn, why choose paranormal fantasy romance. See author website for series CWs. This series is set in the same universe as the completed Fae Mate Hunt series, with some crossover, but can be read independently.
Sakura Black is a British author who spends her days pretending to be a sensible adult. Most of the time, she gets to write steamy fantasy and paranormal romance, often dreaming up wild stories about frightfully sweet monsters and the women they’re lucky enough to fall horns over tail for.
Finally, Kelsea and her mates, all of them, come together. What a ride it was. This book continues with adventure, fun banter and scorching hot ODs. Each mate is never made to feel left out. The between banter between them speaks of their familiarity and caring for each other. Even the late to join them Rattle, the commoner, is quickly brought into the fold. If you like adventure, paranormal, why choose(Mmfmm) 🔥🔥🔥🔥 stories, you will enjoy this read.
As always check your triggers and know what you can handle because I and the author can’t decide what you can handle… mentally…psychologically… Physically? All of the above haha
We’re back and everything is finally tying together. We are finally back with Rattle… who is not in the best shape as he misses is heart mate who is currently in her own mess as always hahaha she and her other mates are still looking for Rattle, but can she find him when she has a her own issue of the fae deciding her fate. Her four other mates are telling her to wait for them but too bad that she doesn’t have time to wait… or the will power to wait. As the face their finale foe who is a corrupt head counselor of course this battle is a mess of all sorts of bodily fluids… especially blood just to get to freedom in the end.
If you’re looking for a good old harem with a happy ending that ends in spice and of course blood then this is series that will definitely deliver. Of course everyone in this couple does have their own turns in growing their bond after cleaning up this mess. So sad that this is the ending to such a great series.
I received an advance reader copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily!
We FINALLY get back to Rattle! He’s in rough shape, misses his ‘heartmate’. Kelse is desperate to find Rattle. In the meantime the connections to Haishe, Neiron, and Vrath weave closer together. Things get melt-your-Kindle-HOT between all of Kelsea’s mates—no barriers, no hesitations, no inhibitions, no boundaries, no fs given … well … there was lots of ‘giving’ 🥵 going on with those five lol There’s more than the steamy scenes going on here—lots more. But, man n n n n those steamy scenes are h o t . *** Recommended ***
I absolutely loved *Their Crown Jewels*—and honestly, this whole series has been such a wild, emotional ride for me. Knowing this is the final book is really bittersweet. On one hand, I couldn’t wait to see how everything wrapped up, but on the other, I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters.
Sakura Black did such an incredible job bringing everything together. The relationships, the tension, the emotional depth—it all hit exactly the way I wanted it to. I’ve grown so attached to this cast, and seeing their journeys come full circle was both satisfying and a little heartbreaking.
This book delivers on everything the series promised: strong character dynamics, intense moments, and that perfect mix of heat and heart. It felt like a true send-off, giving closure while still making me wish there was more.
If you’ve followed the *Monster Mate Hunt* series, this finale will not disappoint. I’m genuinely going to miss this world and these characters so much.
Their Crown Jewels gave me exactly the chaotic, spicy finale I wanted. Sakura Black throws Kelsea into an enchanted castle full of deadly fae and a corrupt Council, and instead of waiting around to be rescued she gets her hands dirty, and I loved that. It’s fast, furious, and full of steam.
The fae politics and castle secrets keep things interesting, and the tension between the rattle and Haishe is deliciously relentless. The book moves quick, which is perfect for this fast burn, why choose romance vibe. The supporting characters are fun, the stakes feel real, and Kelsea's backbone is everything.
A couple of plot threads felt a little hurried in the wrap up, and I wanted a bit more depth to the worldbuilding in places. Still, those are small gripes for a book that mostly hits hard emotionally and delivers a satisfying finish.
If you want fated-mate chaos, deadly fae drama, and a heroine who won’t bow down, pick this up.
We are back to wrap up this crazy series. Last thing we remembered was the FMC had not 1 not 2 but 4 mates who loved her and then she was flashed away from them. 1 of her mates had already been taken from her and she was desperate to get him back. Now all of them were desperate to get back to her. The journey to reuniting them wheeewww they definitely go through it. This final book is spicy, bloody and filled with action! I loved how each of her mates was accepting of the others and provided reassurance whenever any of them needed it. I also loved how they all of them match each others crazy! There is lots of spice but there is also plot!
Thank you so much to Sakura for the copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own💜💜
"Could a mortal really survive this many monster males? Maybe. Maybe not. But at least my tombstone could proclaim I`d died doing what I loved".
In this final book, everything finally comes together. But before that can happen, Kelsea and her four monster mates must face a corrupt Head Counselor, employ all sorts of "healing and recharging techniques" (lol), and fight their way to freedom through bloody mayhem. This book certainly doesn't skimp on bodily fluids (lol). - A successful HEA for Kelsea, Vrath, Neiron, Haishe, and Rattle.
I received an ARC from the author for an honest review.
I don’t like reverse harem books. I’ve never liked them. That being said, I love Sakura Black and was willing to give it a go. I read 1-4 and was absolutely enthralled with the writing, the world building, the characters. How Kelsea was able to maintain her sanity with such diverse MMCs I’ll never know. This whole series has been fabulous, but this book was by far my favorite of the 5. It was beautifully wrapped up. The ending? Chef’s kiss. Kelsea and her mates will stay with me for a long time to come. I still don’t like reverse harem, but I will absolutely read it if it’s written by Sakura Black!
Their Crown Jewels is the final book in the Monster Mate Hunt series. It picks up where Reeled In left off. Kelsea has been magicked to the Council's castle for the Claiming. Haishe, Vrath and Neiron have to get to the castle, find Kelsea and then find it where Rattle is being held in order to rescue him. That's a lot of saving.
There's a lot of action, as well as a lot of open door spice. (Monsters need love, too.) Will Kelsea get claimed by one of the other kings or noblemen? Will they ever find Rattle? Will Neiron ever stop ripping out hearts?
You gotta read to find out. Their Crown Jewels is A fitting end to a wonderful series.
Kelsea has had it with all this Fae Hunt madness. It’s time for her to get her mates and get the hell oot o’ there!
Across 4 books, Kelsea has been “Selected” by the Fae for The Hunt, run for her life, chased enemies, kicked butt, taken names, and met her four Fae Monster Mates. Now, in this final book, it’s time for her to fight her way out of a palace filled with political landmines, figure out who to trust, and wait for her mates to find her. Which of course they do, and how! They’re just as feral, loyal, and ready to burn the world down for her — and with her.
I had to wipe the steam off my glasses. The monster smut is strong with this one, with more than a little sword‑crossing, and a pace that never lets up. It’s an action‑filled conclusion with an HEA for everyone and a lot of fun for me. And special shout‑out to Jorah and Thalassa — small roles, huge impact.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I’m leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you to the author and BookFunnel for this eARC.
This is the 5th book and conclusion of the Monster Mate Hunt series by Sakura Black. As always, please read the trigger warnings so you keep yourself safe. With this story, Kelsea finally gets all of her mates together and they still manage to each get some individual time as well. We finally have Rattle back on the scene joining up with group. There is action, humor, and heat! The final book in the series does not disappoint. Yes I read this as an ARC, and yes I still still be purchasing it once it is released because I really loved it.
Whew! Talk about scorching hot! An excellent ending to the series, Their Crown Jewels has Kelsea and all her somewhat unhinged mates finally finding their way to each other and getting their HEA! Fast paced, full of danger, spice and heart, this story is perfect if you are not upset by a bit of gore and love morally grey characters who will do anything for their mate. The Monster Mate Hunt is a unique and highly entertaining series to pick up! I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a fun finale! This one tied up all the loose ends bringing everyone full circle. I received an advance reader copy and chose to review it. This one picks ip right from where the last one left off. You should definitely read these in order so that you can follow the story abd the characters through their journey. I highly recommend jumping in and following along with this band of mates as they romp their way through their adventure collecting their family members as they go.
Ms. Black's banter is a huge draw for me! I really think dialogue, can make or break a story for me! Ms. Black's…totally awesome and utterly satisfying!
The world-building! I love to be able to leave my world and enter into the author's! Ms. Black's world was written in technicolor! Totally immersive!
I truly wish the journey wasn't over, but I definitely enjoyed the ride!
I have been waiting for this book for so long! We have a Rattle sighting! He's in pretty rough shape and is trying to get back to his mate Kelsea, but we finally get an update! Please make sure to read the other books in the series first or you will not understand the dynamics of this group.
This finale to the Monster Mate Hunt series was everything I needed - action, wit, reunion - and I was alternately holding my breath and fanning myself.
I have loved all of her books so far. This was the last in the monster mate hunt series, so didn’t have as much story as the others, but it was a satisfying, if not too short, ending. These books are very different from most other fae stories, which is like a breath of fresh air ( and the sex is intriguing). I would love to see this as an animated series (although it would be x-rated). The monsters are so graphic
In this explosive finale, every thread finally tightens into place but not before Kelsea and her formidable monster mates are pushed to their absolute limits. Forced to confront a corrupt Head Counselor, they must rely on unconventional “healing” methods while clawing their way through chaos, violence, and relentless bloodshed in a desperate bid for freedom. This story holds nothing back and yet, through the madness, it delivers a hard-earned and deeply satisfying ending for our lovable characters!
This was probably the best most chaotic ending for the series. You literally every chapter of something different was happening and as soon as you thought it was working out then another problem popped up and intertwine with all of that with some really yummy spice today that's in totally recommend this series.
It starts right where the 4th book ends. Kelsea has to try and find a way to escape the Claiming and get back to her mates. Her mates work hard to get back to her. Rattle still needs rescuing. It was an emotional roller-coaster. I was worried for everyone the whole time as secrets were revealed.
So glad everyone is finally reunited. Yay!! The buildup was worth it! Loved all these books and so happy and sad that they’re done. Rattle is still my favorite. Great spice. 10/10.
Claiming the Prize Kelsea thinks her mates have deserted her, leaving her at the mercy of the Claiming. But they’ll do anything to reach her because she is their prize!
