Getting caught in a grumpy spider's web was a total accident. Becoming obsessed with his masterful binding technique? Yeah, that’s all on me.
Riven has a serious online shopping problem, and I’m the only delivery driver crazy enough to bring him his impulse purchases of fuzzy slippers and odd kitchen utensils.
But when I walk straight into his web, I discover a few things...
My pulse skyrockets when he looks at me like I’m his next meal. He can sense everything about my body's reactions through the vibrations in his webs, and I mean everything. He thinks reality TV is a guide to "human courtship," and it's turning into the most disastrous, awkward, and endearing seduction I've ever endured. Apparently Vyders are legendary for their intense mating techniques.
I'm not even sure what that means, but I think I'm about to find out...
Delivered to the Vyder is a scorching monster romance featuring a grumpy arachnid with terrible social skills, extremely creative uses for silk, and a heroine discovering she likes to be caught. Perfect for readers who like their monsters possessive and their steam levels volcanic. Guaranteed HEA!
Ivy Sparks has a passion for romances that feature kick-ass heroines and the dark alpha males who love them. If not for her demanding cat, she'd probably have even more books out.
Apparently I love to torture myself with arachnids. however that being said this was a lovely story, and even I found Rivens tippy-tappy and mandible cracking adorable. I love he had to face his own fears. I appreciated the spell out of the time leaps.
Having been put onto loving any arachnid stories by another author, I'm always happy to read anything new and Riven was a fun character. Can't say I spend a lot online, but I do know folks who do. :) June was great in how she tried to help him but also discovered so much more. Thoroughly enjoyed and need more. :) I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really love Ivy Sparks and I adore this Monster Mates series. Only two other authors have made me enjoy Spider like lead characters! I'm happy to say she is now the third. I almost passed on reading this one but I'm so glad I didn't . Riven is recluse Vyder living on the mountain since the great unveiling. He huge and spider like with Predators instincts and creative and gentle with an artists eye for beautiful things. He has a friend who has finally brought him into the modern age with the internet and he can help but go crazy with shopping online. This is how he meets June. June has lived in the valley her whole life her mother has passed and is now just her and her dad. She's over him but he getting older so she's taken over the family business. Delivering packages to the most remote areas around the mountain to those in need and many are the Monsters that live among them. That's where she meets Riven. She should be nervous he's a 7 foot tall muscular spider man , but she's not. He makes he feel safe, secure someone she can share herself with. Someone who can relieve her of her burdens so that she can just feel. When a violent stops rages through the mountain and they are stuck together for several days . They spend the time getting to know one another each bringing the other out of their shells and into the light. They realize they are a compliment to one another and emotions become high. Can their relationship she I've post the storm? Can they overcome any obstacles in the path of their happiness? You must read and find .out you will not be disappointed it was a great story with characters you'll fall in love with. Sweet and Spicy it will leaving looking forward to the next book in the series! 🌟💖🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🔥🌟💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🔥🌟🌟💖🔥🔥🌟💖🔥🔥🔥
“I can sense the vibrations through my silk,” he continues, as if reading my thoughts. “Every heartbeat. Every breath. Every… shift.” His mandibles click softly. “It’s quite informative.” Oh god. If he can feel all that, then he knows. He knows my body is responding in ways that make absolutely no sense given the circumstances. “Your situation presents me with an interesting dilemma,” he says, setting the package aside and returning his full attention to me. “Social convention suggests I should free you immediately and apologize for the inconvenience.” “That sounds like a great plan,” I say quickly. “And yet…” He circles me again, each step deliberate and hypnotic. “Your body is telling me something quite different from your words.”
I loved this book so much! Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Riven and June. I definitely consider this a meet-cute... though I would have lost my mind getting in contact with- much less so thoroughly caught by- a web of any kind. I liked her reaction to him, and loved how he could sense her physical responses through the threads of his web. He was just as intrigued by her. The chemistry between them was hot! And I loved his calm tone and that he had no problem speaking openly.
"I’m going to give you exactly what you desire,” he says simply. “After all, what kind of host would I be if I left a guest wanting? And you, June of Hartwell Delivery, are clearly very, very wanting…”
I loved his shopping purchases, but sad to learn that he'd lived eighty years of solitude. I thought his personality was sweet.. and very seductive. I was completely entranced by this story and loved the dynamic between them. I hope and can't wait for this to come out in audiobook! 5 stars
Gleeful Goblin Review: If you are here then the assumption is that spiders and/or vyders aren't something that makes you run the other way. Which is great because this book will catch you up and hold you as tight as a vyder's web catches a certain unlucky delivery woman! This couple' meet-cute is courtesy of a Very Important Package: “You humans are fascinating creatures,” he says, reaching down to retrieve the dropped package with casual grace. “So determined to deny what your bodies clearly communicate.” “Can we just… focus on the delivery?” I ask desperately. “Ah, yes. My fuzzy slippers.” I blink, certain I’ve misheard. “Your what?” “Fuzzy slippers,” he repeats, examining the box with delighted enthusiasm. “Four pairs. With memory foam insoles. They received excellent reviews online.” The cognitive dissonance of a twelve-foot spider-creature ordering fuzzy slippers momentarily overrides my fear. “You ordered… slippers?” “Is that unusual?” He tilts his head again. “For a giant spider man? Yeah, kinda.” His mandibles click rapidly, then he squints at the nametag on my uniform. “We all have our indulgences, June of Hartwell Delivery.”
For how cute the cover of this book is (and to be fair, the whole series is similar) this book is SPICY. And it gets spicy right quick and in a hurry too! Our Vyder is an out of this world weaver, both of silk and webs to catch a very specific prey. This is a fast, zesty, shiveringly good time. 5/5 Stars
Second favorite of the bunch! (Not sure why it's a .5 instead of it's own number, but whateves!) June (Human Lady) is a rural delivery driver for her dad's tiny business in the middle of nowhere Montana, Riven (Spider Centaur Sir) is a reclusive artist discovering internet shopping and studying humans through reality TV. When June delivers a package to Riven's house things literally instantly get saucy. The underlying plot here is pretty good & the most realistic of the action-y bits for sure. Riven & June both feel pleasantly real and a bit weird which is just nice to see! In all a very fun and saucy read.
As per usual, spoilers cut for spoilering, grumbling, & general sauciness:
June is a determined delivery driver struggling to help keep her family's package delivery company running when she walks—literally—into the web of Riven, the grumpy, analytical 12-foot-tall Vyder. He is immediately intrigued by June as she brings out his mating instinct. His inquisitive nature compels him to verbally document her positive physiological reactions to being caught in his web.
Riven is definitely the star of the story for me. Watching him try to navigate human courtship using reality TV as his guide and his absolutely terrible social skills leads to some humorous and endearing moments. Beneath the grumpy exterior and the intimidating monster form is a male obsessed with his mate, which leads to some spicy displays of possessive affection and creative uses of his silk. The concept that he can sense his mate's every reaction through the web's vibrations is a creative, intense, and steamy addition to his monster abilities.
A great read for readers looking for a possessive but sweet monster, a strong FMC, and a lot of high-heat spice and low-angst fun.

June works at her father's delivery company and takes the parcels that no-one else will deliver up the mountain where she delivers mostly to the monsters that now live there. When she finds herself stuck in a spider's web when delivering a parcel to a new client, she finds out that silk is effective during seduction, especially when unable to move. Meeting Riven, a grumpy arachnid with a love for pink fluffy slippers and reality tv, changes everything for June, especially when she is stuck on the mountain with him during a massive winter storm. Riven is a grumpy hermit as experience has shown him that humans are not particularly friendly, but when the town below is threatened by a grieving monster, Riven knows that he will do anything to protect June and the people she calls friends and family, even if it means exposing himself to their fears. This is a beautiful story of understanding, acceptance and love. It is full of romance, funny moments, some heat and an appreciation of silk! I loved Gus and hope we get to see more of this town and it's residents, both human and monster.
There are some places delivery services won’t go and that is where Hartwell’s premium delivery service comes in, and why MFC June is currently driving over rough terrain off the beaten path. When she gets caught in her customers security web and he turns out to be a spider like monster known as a Vyder who calls himself Riven the situation turns interesting because that web June got tangled in is causing some very strange physical reactions in her, not at all unpleasant, and Riven finds very curious indeed. Loved this perfectly fun, hot little monster romance with an arachnid that finds his forever girl delivering his warm fuzzy slippers order. good writing, and characters set a nice pace in a story that had humor, spice, emotion, magic, a little drama, danger, and vulnerabilities which stirred up the romance in an entertaining read.

Dom/Sub elements! ✔️ Bondage & Rope play! ✔️ Interesting use of webs! Overworked Human FMC in desperate need of care and worship! ✔️ Sexy 12ft tall Arachnid MMC that wants to give her everything she wants & needs! ✔️
This book has all these elements and sooo much more. Spice LITERALLY within the first 3 chapters so its fast paced but still doesn't take away from the plot or complexity of the characters. The MCs relationship might've started fast but still you get all the warm & fuzzy feelings as well as wholesome moments between them as the relationship forms. Riven and June have such a primal yet tender love. Riven is such an adorable, doting, social anxious albeit grumpy arachnoid that's curious about Human culture and to better understand how to best serve June. June was so patient with him and like me found his obsession with reality TV as social documentaries freaking hilarious 😂. When I got to that part, I was laughing so hard...I couldn't breathe! I was so enthralled I finished in a day.

June is a delivery driver who is taking over her fathers routes. Several years pas the big unveiling where the monsters "stepped into the real world" Riven is a vyder ( spider monster) who has been a hermit his entire life. He is just stepping into the technological world and ordering things online, including pink fuzzy slippers for his 8 legs!
When June is caught in Riven's web, he immediately can tell shes into it, and him, despite his appearance. Just as they are getting close, something bigger, older and far more angry starts threatening their mountain home.
This is a great book. I love Riven's more stiff and formal communication style. It really makes you feel like he has been out of touch with the world for so long. And June's easy acceptance of him, bigfoots, mothmans and other cryptids.
Fun and quite spicy read!.

This was such a sweet and somewhat cozy read! Riven is very lovable, sweet and attentive. His character was very interesting, and I really appreciated the fish out of water (or spider out of web) trope for him. June is a fairly relatable main character, making it easy for readers to do self inserts, in my opinion. I really enjoyed the fluffy interactions between the two.
The beginning went by a bit quickly for me at first, but after the initial meeting, I felt like the pacing was good. I really enjoyed the forced proximity moments, and it was very hot and steamy. A part of me felt like the events were happening too fast, but I definitely understand why.
This is my first time reading an Ivy Sparks book, and I really liked the world building. I plan on reading others from this series in the future. Thoroughly enjoyed this book!
A delivery girl makes a delivery to a giant spider man and smut ensues.
Riven is an entertaining character, but the story is a bit dull. Maybe I’m just not turned on by giant spiders, because I didn’t find the sex scenes to be very enticing or interesting. But also, I think the author didn’t describe him well enough. Partway through the book, I still couldn’t figure out exactly what Riven looked like and I had to look at the cover art for that.
I knew he had 8 legs, and multiple eyes, and was very tall. But other than that… I just wasn’t sure how much of him was human-ish and how much was spider. He’s referred to as a giant spider multiple times, although the cover shows a sort of half man looking guy.
So… was she having sex with a giant spider or a spider dude? And where exactly did his penis come out from?
As you can see… I got bogged down in the logistics of this set up and that detracts from the sexy.
The entire concept is so fun. We have an urban fantasy, only the urban area is a tiny rural town in Montana surrounded by recently revealed monsters of all kinds. We have a delivery driver bringing said monsters their packages and wandering into a Vyder’s web. We have a 10-foot tall Vyder MMC with eight spider legs, six eyes, mandibles, bondage webs, and a vibrating peen. We have loads of web spice and a cowboy spider ride through the forest. We even have the first Vyder-human pregnancy in the epilogue, which I am sad to say we don’t see the results of. What do those hybrid babies look like?!
All good things, but I really struggled to buy into Riven and June’s super insta forever love. I wanted to see pushback from June on something, anything, related to Riven. Other relationships developed throughout the book, but our lovers were largely single toned after their initial meeting.
Thank you BookSprout, and Ivy Sparks for sending me this advance review copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book was everything I could have ever wanted in a monster romance.
It was so sweet and cozy, with a little bit of danger and tension thrown in for good measure.
June is so sweet, caring, and not afraid of her non-human delivery clients at all. She spreads joy wherever she goes. Riven is the sweetest of cinnamon rolls, with a strong protective streak. He has an innocence about him that is really endearing, especially his love for using trashy dating reality shows as mating ritual research.
The spice was fantastic, and really fun with the bondage aspect added in.
Overall this was a fantastic monster romance, and I can't wait to see what Ivy comes up with next. She never disappoints me!
This was a great monster romance and a fab addition to the series. I loved seeing how hard June worked and was so dedicated to her family's delivery service - and just how wild some deliveries were ;) Case in point, delivering to Riven and getting caught up in his web. Riven was very curious but had terrible social skills. I got such a kick out of him trying to navigate human courtship practices through reality tv shows when he realized June was his mate. As you may imagine, this had both humourous and endearing elements. Regardless, this is a monster that is totally obsessed with his mate and he sure brings the heat to the spice...yep, definitely some hot web work, in here ;P I found it super cool how he could use his web. Kudos to the author's imagination on that one! I really enjoyed how this one unfolded and read it in one go. Good fun!
I did not expect to fall for a grumpy spider monster with a reality tv shows and online shopping addiction but Ivy proved me wrong! He’s trying to learn human courtship from reality TV shows, she’s just trying not to lose her mind and somehow it all turns into one of the most weirdly sweet romances I’ve ever read. Riven is socially clueless but ridiculously endearing while June is smart, funny, and extremely open-minded, and the chemistry between them??? Of the charts!!!
Favourite quotes: 1. it’s exhausting being a predator with social anxiety 2. I’m impress you managed to burn water. That takes real talent.

I was not prepared for how absolutely PRECIOUS Riven was going to be. Trying to think of how to write this review without massive spoilers was actually trifficult because there's so much that I loved, but also if I talk about it you as a reader won't experience it authentically like I did... and this book is an EXPERIENCE.
I could not put it down and I had the best time reading this book. As much as I loved Ivy's Minotaur romance... this one is in a league of it's own and might be my favorite of the series. Because what do you mean Riven *redacted because spoilers* and it absolutely endears you to him for the rest of the book... Y'all absolutely have to read this book like yesterday.

June works for Hartwell Delivery Service in Montana. She took over the route when her dad couldn't do it any longer. So he stays in the office. Now she's on her way out to a remote location. The weather isn't looking too good but she's going. She knows it's far out which means interesting (aka weird) "people, especially since the great unveiling. Riven, a vyder or as June so succinctly says,a spider man. He is taken aback when her response after terror is one of responsiveness. Now he needs to make a decision on what to do? June needs to figure what is going on? Well this is a delicate situation!!.

Amazing short story love love love 4.5 out of 5 its a very cozy read and has all the elements you would want
Spice is ..spicy 4/5 definitely great for people who love rope play
Character development is actually not bad there was more of a development for the mmc than the fmc i would have to say 4/5
Story line is pretty basic but its something that doesn’t get old if told right. 4/5
Plot there isnt much in the way of plot again it is the basic premise of a cozy romance and little in the way of angst . 3.5
Character building… ummmm not much in the way of character building for the fmc tbh i dont really know what she looks like or even how long her hair is, but there is a bit of description for the MMC. 2/5
Ivy Sparks does it again! A great monster romance with the perfect amount of steam, spice, and plot. June was relatable and likeable, and Riven is sweet and clueless but also hot and possessive. This is a great short read. The side characters were also great - Dale surprised me. The pacing was great for a quick, cozy night read, and the chemistry between June and Riven was both sweet and sizzling. I loved the mix of humor and heat that Ivy Sparks always nails. A HEA read that I would reread again! Recommended for anyone who likes a spicy romance read on the lighthearted side of things.

The hero was a spider creature and he is such a sweet guy. He has been researching human behavior by watching trashy reality dating shows. It was so funny.
She delivers a package to his isolated mountain home and gets caught in his web. He is immediately interested and so is she. So he cuts off her pants and they fool around.
She goes back the next day and he courts her. He tries really hard to cook for her and burns it. He likes tying her up in his webs. She really likes it too.
He orders a gift for her so he has an excuse for a delivery to see her.
He was very into her. He uses his senses to monitor her heartbeat and breathing. So he knows exactly what arouses her most.
Ooh this was so cute, and I especially loved the epilogue that showed them a few years down the line since their relationship definitely starts on the fast track. I also HIGHLY reccomend getting the bonus epilogue from the authors newsletter as it is insanely heartwarming. I never thought I'd think of a spider monster as adorable but Riven is exactly that, a giant cinnamon roll but with social anxiety and utter devotion to his mate. 10/10. I also loved the chats June had with the other people along her delivery route and just the general atmosphere of the small town the author described. I read this after reading book 1-3 of the series, but this has easily taken the spot of my favorite.
DNF at 62%. Honestly, probably should’ve DNF’ed it sooner. But this just wasn’t for me. **slight spoilers** Ch. 2 was basically a carbon copy of Ch.1 just from Riven’s POV. They basically were jumping right to wanting each other and her getting eaten out by Ch.3. I didn’t really see any emotional connection, and Riven is like this is my chosen mate for all time by Ch.3 or 4. The getting wrapped up after sex like Frodo Baggins in the Shelob scene was a no for me. Lol And lastly, I started seeing some signs of possible AI influences in the writing. I obviously cannot confirm this, but I’m suspicious of it.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This was fun! A nice light read after my not so great last read. Now, It was kinda ridiculous how quickly spice happened but I’m all for arachnid smut lol. It got a bit repetitive with how they did it but it was still alright and spicy to read. I liked Junes character and the story of the town was sweet how it all came together and for Riven. However, I think I liked Kestra’s like.. background story more than Rivens. His kind of confused me a bit at times: one second he’s been alone forever than it sounded like he had multiple lovers. Idk. That’s maybe just a me thing.
Love the grumpy, articulate spider man. Just one critique. Descriptions of size differences were inconsistent or lacking. I wanted a better picture in my mind of exactly how their sizes compared. If he’s 12 feet tall and she’s an average height, she would have to reach up to hold his hand, but these details are never explained. It made me think that the author didn’t really know what 12 feet looks like, which was distracting. Otherwise, a good story. Reminded me of the weaver series.
This was the last book of the series that I read. I rather enjoyed the series overall for a few reasons. They are quick easy reads, and the FMC in most of them is independent and does NOT lose her independence once mated. I enjoy that this author has the FMC continue their work/businesses after finding love, even if their mate is wealthy. My issue is that the author tends to use the same "order of operations" when it comes to the spice scenes. Nearly every book has the same order of things, and often nearly entire paragraphs are word-for-word the same in different books.
Delivered to the Vyder is a light monster romance. June is a hard-working delivery driver who takes her job serious whether she's delivering to reclusive humans or monsters. I liked how strange and cool the author made the monsters. There is a little bit of humor with Riven's attempts to learn more about human culture. This story is pretty insta-love and any problems that arise are solved right away. This doesn't have a lot of depth but was enjoyable.
Riven gets more than he thought when he ordered his slippers. He finds the perfect mate along with getting very comfy slippers. So when he ordered again he puts thoughts into it and is aiming to keep June. June is happy to help her dad in the family delivery business. She doesn’t even mind all the monster deliveries. Or having to take routes that aren’t even on maps. She is on said route when she finds her future in one delivery.
