BADEN: She’s too young, too reckless, and too tempting. I drugged and kidnapped Calla Reyes, forcing her into marriage to trap her desperation for money. She resists, but I feed the fire—joined by Eric, who craves her as fiercely as I do.
CALLA: Baden Weber is cold, cruel, and everything I feared. I can’t escape, and his commands ignite a terrifying obedience. Now his slave, and shared with Eric, I’m bound to them both.

3.75⭐️ 4🌶️ 🔥Dark Romance 🔥Forced marriage 🔥Forced proximity 🔥MMF 🔥Bi-Awakening 🔥Dub/NonCon 🔥Obsessive MCs 🔥Multi First Person POV
This is intense, dark, and at times uncomfortable, putting my triggers to a test. This is an erotic thriller with very little romance. Calla is working overtime to save her family home from forclosure. The only work she’s been able to find is as a waitress at a winery. Baden has been coming in to the winery every Tuesday for the past few months, dining with a different woman each time. He’s looking for the perfect submissive. But ever since he spotted Calla, he’s wanted her. He learns everything about her and decides to take advantage of the knowledge she needs money to get her to agree to dinner and offer a special arrangement. Baden isn’t a good man and when he wants something, he takes it. Baden dr^gs and kidn@ps Calla to his home, where he has her sign a contract (while still dr^gg£d) to be his submissive/wife for a year. He will provide for her, she’ll never have to work again, and he’ll pay her. As well as pay of her mortgage and help her mother. Calla experiences true terror when she realizes she’s trapped with man she doesn’t know anything about. He plans to take Calla to his compound in Germany once she’s better trained and marry her. Baden shocks his business partner and only friend Eric when he tells him that he wants Eric to be bound to Calla too. After their ceremony, their first night together is not only explosive, but Baden admits to himself he’s had feelings for Eric. This whole story is a study in DubCon/NonCon. Watching Calla waver between trying to fight and acceptance, left me reeling. There were a few things I thought deserved to be explained better about the plot and character backgrounds. Each of these characters felt surface level, lacking enough information to understand them. I just wanted more. Calla and Eric build a relationships, albeit a guarded one, but one with understanding. Baden knew he’d never be able to truly care for Calla, that’s why he wanted Eric around, but struggles when he sees them together. The ending is never the type of cliffhanger you want to read, with a character’s life hanging in the balance. The ending is a doozy of cliffhanger. The spice is heavy on control with a triple serving of DubCon/NonCon.

A Few Favorite Quotes: “No matter what happens, all I know is that this woman will be mine forever.”
“Calla and Eric are bound to me as I am to them. And nothing in the world will ever take them away from me.”
“How long has he been watching me? Wanting me? Craving me?”
“I didn’t ask for any of this. Why me? You could have any other woman.” “Because I wanted you. I’ve never wanted another woman as much as I wanted you. And you needed me. Whether you understand or not. One day I hope you will.”
I'm not sure how to even explain this one. I was kid#apped right along with Calla. this book grabbed me and pulled me. it told me when it was going to be finished with me. buckle up because this is one Hell of a twisted and dark ride. it was intense. i couldn't put this down. Baden was just wow. I'm not sure what to think of him. it was a serious love hate relationship with him. this book was chaos but in the best way. I didn't want it to end. I loved Baden and Eric. finally! this book is just straight up explosive
Crave me by quinn rivers is a dark erotic thriller that contains mature and potentially distressing themes, including forced marriage, forced proximity, dubious and non-con$ensual situations, d£ugging, obsessive main characters, emotional, physical, and psychological abu$e, kidn@pping, and depictions of PTSD. This novel is a work of dark fiction and explores intense themes, morally gray characters, and unhealthy or harmful dynamics. The behaviors, relationships, and situations depicted are not intended to be romanticized as healthy or acceptable in real life. If you dont like drugging, forced marriage and dominance. This isnt for you.
It starts with the FMC Calla, whos working herself to the bone to try and save her family home from repossession as they cannot keep up with mortgage payments. Ohhhh this could be interesting. Terry wants to help, and is going all out but damn.
Chapter 2 sees the MMC Baden! Offty a contracted wife?! Hot damn. So we are thinking full dom - sub BDSM relationship, do what you're told, when your told. Pure ownership. With a sceduled paycheck as a wife?
I sunk into this book - hook, link & sinker omg. Before I knew it i was like 50% in!.. damn... its brutal and savage and what some would class as pitch black with the d£ugging, and sex while d£ugged etc. Then the marriage to 2 men... like.. damn.
So much happens in this book its just 🥷🤯 .. mind-blowing but a good binge read.. i read it in 1 sitting, its hard to explain... but do be aware of triggers. Ive 0 triggers so it really didnt phase me. But for sensitive readers with triggers, it may cause effect.
The book is fast paced and im hoping with the ending there's a book 2. I read it in 1 sitting.

Crave Me is dark romance with its teeth out—intense, provocative, and unapologetically obsessive. From the very first chapter, it makes clear this is a story about control, power, and desire spiraling far beyond a simple contract.
Baden is cold, calculating, and morally gray to the core. He begins as a man who believes he’s orchestrating a transaction—marriage as leverage, obedience as necessity—but watching that certainty unravel is where the story gets its bite. Calla, meanwhile, is far from a passive victim. Her fear, resistance, and growing awareness of her own cravings add layers to what could have been a one-note dynamic. The push and pull between terror and desire is uncomfortable in a way dark romance readers often seek out.
The addition of Eric intensifies everything. The shared obsession, the blurred lines, and the escalating emotional dependence turn this into less of a romance and more of an addiction story—one where none of the characters walk away unchanged. What starts as survival slowly morphs into something dangerous, consuming, and deeply entangled.
This book is not about softness or redemption—it’s about crossing lines and realizing you don’t want to go back. If you enjoy taboo themes, morally questionable characters, and dark romances that lean fully into obsession and power imbalance, Crave Me delivers a gripping, unsettling read that lingers long after the last page. 🖤🔥
This book had a bit of a bumpy start, but it got better! It's short enough that the bumps smoothed out quickly and I couldn't put it down! The story and the connections between Baden, Eric, and Calla had me hooked. I can't wait for the next book!
Is it safe to say I'm concerned for myself? No? Good, because I loved this and am not ashamed! Crave Me is a damn rollercoaster ride! Quinn took me on a journey with so many thrilling twists, turns, and wtf moments, and I'm all for the emotional back and forth.
The way this book got me confused, angry, and happy all at once and seperately made me want to scream. At myself for reading this (even though I loved it), at Quinn for writing it (thank god you did), and at each of our MCs for their behaviour! 😭 But they wouldn't be who they are if it weren't for that and we have Quinn to thank. 🩶
The fact that I binge read this in a day and a half all while working, creating and filming posts for social media, sleeping, and gaming is a testament to how consuming this book was for me. Even though some parts confused me, I had to force myself to put it away because I couldn't stop myself from saying 'oh, just one more chapter'. 😂
I think, out of the three MCs, I resonated with Eric in aspects. Although I didn't have the past that he (and Baden) did, I connect with how he views particular aspects of his life. Especially with how he feels trapped, because in a way, I feel that way in my life too. We are both people pleasers when it comes to the people we love.
There were 3 chapters that confused the hell out of me a bit, they shouldn't have because I've read scenes like those before, but I think I had a different image in my head than what was written. That's really the only thing I disliked, even though it's not the author's fault at all. But my favourite part of this book was a certain scene between Eric and Callah! I don't like to post spoilers, so I won't, but it has such perfectly executed control, exactly what they both need. 😌
I want to read this again, maybe closer to when book 2 comes out, that way I can experience this world again without the hype I created in my head clouding everything, then I can give this a better, more updated review.
If you love a rollercoaster ride, but the dark, twisted, erotic type that will throw you through a loop and have you craving them more than they crave each other, then this one's for you.
Crave Me by Quinn Rivers is a masterpiece in dark romance, blending suspense with high-steam tension that gripped me from the first page and didn’t let go. Rivers crafted an intense world where the lines between danger and desire are permanently blurred.
The character dynamics are the heart of this why-choose MMF story. Baden is a formidable anti-hero—morally grey and unapologetically dominant. In contrast, Eric provides a different kind of intensity; he is deeply flawed yet his possessiveness and protectiveness add a layer of loyalty to the trio. Carla’s journey is particularly compelling as she evolves from a resilient survivor into a woman awakened to desires that she can no longer deny.
The chemistry between the three is explosive. Watching their connection evolve through the darkness is both gripping and boundary pushing. Rivers uses multiple perspectives to heighten the tension, ensuring every twist feels earned and every spicy moment carries emotional weight.
This is a must read for fans of dark romance who crave forced proximity, high stakes, and complex power dynamics. Quinn Rivers has delivered a standout dark romance that stays with you long after the final page.
I received an ARC of this book and am leaving this review voluntarily.
It's a dark erotic romance that, yes, GUILTY to say I LOVED it!!
MMC Baden kidnaps the FMC Calla Reyes, forcing her into marriage because she needs the money. There is a struggle on her role while with him, but she signed a contract.
Baden is cruel, cold, and scary, morally gray, but there is something about him. I will admit that at first I was like, I don't know how I felt about him. Then ad I read I became intrigued by his character. I really hope we learn more about him in book two. I need to question if something is wrong with me...NOPE ok now that I answered that. Hahaha
Then we have Eric, who is the opposite of Baden. He is soft and sweet. When Calla is now shared with him as Baden's slave and not something he chose to do, he struggles with this. I loved the tenderness his character shows. He is the perfect opposite of Baden and I ❤️❤️ him. Please give us more of his POV.
There is a twist in the book and that cliffhanger at the end. I need to have book two IMMEDIATELY to see what happens.
Plenty of spice. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I would recommend reading this if you enjoy a dark romance.
Please read the author's note at the beginning and pay attention to the themes.
Truthfully, I went in blind. I forgot what this was supposed to be about and went hopping right on in. I don’t have any triggers, so the trigger warnings didn’t scare me off. But for someone who has triggers, CHECK THEM! This book was definitely a great read, but what kept it from a solid 5 stars was that I didn’t get the full stalker aspect in the beginning. You get the beat around the bush, yeah I stalked her, and that’s it. I wanted more to build the story up into WHY he becomes obsessed with the fmc. But that’s really my only complaint. I could’ve easily finished this in one sitting, but ya know… mom duties got in the way, lol. I loved the storyline and the ending had me screamingggg for more answers. So yeah, can’t wait for the next one. Thanks to the author for letting me read an advance copy.
Three stars is being generous, I almost DNF this book and I never DNF books.
There is a plot …I guess. The character development isn’t played out at all, it just supposedly happens without any explanation. The book is on the shorter side so everything feels extremely rushed.
Despite reading trigger warnings beforehand I was still absolutely shocked and horrified by how absolutely morally BLACK this story is. Not even close to grey. I loathed the MMC, like I wanted him dead 100% of the story.
The book could have been worse, I guess. But my final verdict was lacking actual character development and explanations for the relationships supposedly deepening. It felt terribly rushed throughout.
Be warned, as the author advises this is NOT a romance book. Not remotely. Alternatively I don’t know what it’s truly supposed to be. Pure horror?
I did not realize that Baden was going to be so strict and sort of an a**, the way he was portrayed in the beginning I knew he was intense but not like how he ended up being. I was not of Baden at first but the more I read the more he grew on me. Eric was the softer of the duo but still has his intense moments. What I did not expect but freaking loved, was the longing between Baden and Eric that has been brewing for quite a while. And Calla is what brought them together, finally. But by being forced into the arrangement because of certain circumstances that she was in. I loved how their relationship progressed, from yearning to having with Baden and Eric, Calla’s anger and hate to affection to Baden, and her comfortableness with Eric. And I can’t wait for book 2!!!
WHAT?!? HOW!?! WHAT!?!? I can’t!! I can’t think!! My hands are sweaty, my heart is pounding so hard that it might leap from my body!! I need, NEED, the next book now! I’m so worried! Yes yes, Baden is morally grey, I know that. But.. I need everything to be okey. I need him to be okey. And Eric, he needs to be okey too.. Calla, she needs them and they need her! Everybody needs to be okey! Well not that one motherf***er… He should be send to moon, I can send him there. It would be my pleasure, really, not a problem.
Wow….this book…..started off reading it and wasn’t sure it was going in a direction I liked. I’m so glad I kept reading. The twists and turns were unexpected and kept me on the edge of my seat. This book sunk its hooks into me and did not let go!! The ending is killing me!! I canNOT wait for the next book!!
I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this review
I wasn't sure this book would really draw me in. I have no triggers, so I wasnt worried about any of the warnings. Just wasn't sure Baden was a character I could get behind. Adding in the rebellion of Calla, the tenderness of Eric, and the way Baden responded to them has changed my mind. Enough action and drama to make this an easy book to sit down and read in a single sitting. Now bring on the next one. You don't really think you can just leave us like that do you?

Honestly I’m not sure how I feel about this book. The dark themes are definitely dark. I love how fiery Calla is and how she doesn’t take shit from Baden. Eric is such a sweet soul. I love how he connects with Calla. I’m interested to see how book two plays out with the cliffhanger at the end.
was a good read. the build up and tension between the main characters is good. at first I was a little sus about baden but he slowly redeemed himself. I liked the character development of the FMC is csnt wait for book #2 I just know calla is going to burn the world for her found family

This book had me hooked! I loved the way the relationship between the main characters shifted as the story progressed. These characters are layered and intriguing. The cliffhanger has me desperate for the next book.
One star taken off because parts of the book were repetitive (like a character would say something and then the next page it would be repeated like it was new information) and it could use a bit more editing, but the story is fantastic!
This is book one of The Tormented Hearts Duet, so prepare yourself for a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more! This is a very dark romance with spice that is spicing. Be sure to check the triggers before you start, but if you are anything like me.. I skipped those pesky pages and dove right in.
This book didn’t just pull me in—it took possession and refused to let go. What started as a “one chapter before sleep” situation turned into a full-blown reading spiral where time stopped mattering. I *had* to keep going.
At the center of the story is Calla, a woman running on exhaustion and desperation, clinging to the last tangible piece of her past: her family home. She’s drowning under responsibility and debt, willing to sacrifice nearly anything to keep that foundation from being ripped away. That vulnerability is exactly what makes her collide with something far more dangerous.
Baden enters like a storm—wealthy, commanding, and fully aware of his own power. He doesn’t pursue; he claims. And what he wants isn’t just obedience or control—it’s permanence. A wife. Once he sets his sights on Calla, resistance becomes almost pointless.
Then there’s Eric. Baden’s closest ally and equal in every way that matters. Sharp-edged, morally compromised, and just as intoxicating. His presence warps everything further, turning the dynamic into something darker, messier, and impossible to categorize. Together, they create a pressure cooker of manipulation, desire, and blurred boundaries that constantly keeps you off balance.
The story thrives on intensity: coercion, proximity that suffocates, and a slow-burning hunger that eventually snaps. Each chapter tightens the grip, making it harder to look away even when things become deeply uncomfortable. This is not a gentle read—it’s ruthless, provocative, and intentionally unsettling.
And that final chapter ? Downright vicious. The kind of ending that leaves you stunned, frustrated, and already desperate for the sequel.
If you’re drawn to dark romance with erotic thriller energy, forced arrangements, power imbalances, and a why-choose structure that leans heavily into morally corrupt territory, this will absolutely hit the mark.
⚠️ Important note : *Crave Me* by Quinn Rivers is unapologetically dark. It includes themes that may be disturbing to some readers—non-consensual and dubious consent situations, drugging, obsessive and controlling behavior, kidnapping, abuse in multiple forms, and trauma-related responses. These elements are part of a fictional exploration of unhealthy dynamics and are not presented as aspirational or safe. If topics like forced marriage, dominance, or loss of autonomy are deal-breakers for you, this book is one to skip.
For readers without those sensitivities, it’s a fast, relentless binge. I finished it in a single sitting, barely realizing how far I’d gone until I hit the end. Brutal, addictive, and impossible to forget.
Our fmc, her name is Calla and I actually really like her. She is sweet, kind, loyal, ambitious and a little bit fiery.
Our mmc's are Baden and Eric. The jury is still out on Baden. He is very intimidating and dominant and kind of a jerk in my opinion and I hope he grovels to Calla a lot very soon because what he did to her was not necessary but at the same time, i do start to like him more as the book progresses. Eric, he is Baden's business partner but is very gentle compared to Baden, a bit of a ladies man and I liked him but I want to see more of him for sure.
The plot was amazing, yes extremely unhinged but amazing. Calla is getting a little low on money and enters a contract with Baden. Little does she realise he isn't after the relationship she is thinking, he's after so much more. Calla really struggles with the dynamic and at times Baden isn't very nice to her. On the flip side, you have Eric, who is Baden's opposite and kind of understands Calla in a way that Baden can't. Over time, Calla really tries for Baden but it's hard because Baden does struggle with what he yearns for versus what's he has been taught to need/want. Calla and Eric connect a little better which causes a bit of confusion with all of them. Baden does try for sure but it's hard. I really like Eric and feel like he is a little trapped too but he cares so much for Baden and Calla. I kind of want to see Calla truly come into her own and show not only Baden and Eric but everyone that she is a bada$$ boss and no one should mess with her. Not all is as it seems though, Baden and Eric are hiding alot more than what Calla initially thinks and it all comes tumbling down...
There is a cliffhanger ending so please be prepared for that. I was not expecting that and I need book 2 like now. I do have lots of theories and questions but i'm happy to wait for Quinn to answer them. I could go on and on but I won't because I want you to read this for yourself.
Please check your trigger warnings because your mental health matters 💚
Such an amazing read! Amazing, Quinn.
Thank you so much Quinn and your lovely team for the opportunity to read this story. I am forever grateful 🙏

Crave Me is a dark erotic romance—and it does not hold back. Read every TW/CW warning before beginning because this book leads readers directly into dark places which never release them.
I didn’t just read this book…I fell into it. I read the entire book during one night while my heart pounded with excitement. The first chapter of the story created an environment which trapped me inside its dangerous and distorted and hopelessly inescapable world. Quinn Rivers creates an unbreakable sense of tension in his stories which demonstrates how obsessive behavior and controlling actions and intense longing produce an unstopable reading experience.
Baden exists as a human form of complete disorder which makes him dangerous and ruthless while maintaining a completely unethical nature. Cold. Controlling. Unhinged. His presence on the page creates an intense feeling which resembles a dangerous explosive device. Eric displays a quiet storm like nature which produces hidden damage to others but his emotional pain matches the severity of Baden's. The relationship shows protective behavior while being possessive and it creates an intense obsessive feeling which penetrates through your body. Calla is strength forged in fire. The entire process of watching her experience suffering and fight back and break down and finally gain awareness was both intensely painful and completely captivating.
The relationship between them underwent a transformation which became the most damaging aspect for me. Their bond develops through intense and dangerous encounters which result in explosive and dangerous confrontations. The three characters create an intense chemical reaction which produces powerful energy. People experience tension during all their social interactions with each other. I kept my breath locked in place while I watched everything from her looks to her spoken words to the way she controlled the situation. And the spice?Blistering. Unapologetic. Consuming. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The last episode delivered an unexplained and unfair storyline which made for an excellent cliffhanger. I need answers. I need the next book. Immediately.
📚ARC REVIEW📚 ⭐️ no star rating simply because this book is just not for me (sorry)⭐️ I had to DNF this book at 28% Right now I can’t think about progressing with this book as I feel there was 0 easing into anything this dark. I did have some notes while reading that I will share: - How is a home still owing so much if it was bought over 24 years ago? Especially one of the people owning it being a nurse? - There’s not much description going on yet - “Being desired because I’m pretty is nice, but I like the money I make from being beautiful and attentive much more.” That doesn’t make much sense to me - How could a person think that it would be okay to offer up someone for something she has no idea what it’s for cause she heard it whilst eavesdropping on someone she was waitressing? Especially apparently her BOSS - Can’t place the smell of his cologne but literally just described it a couple sentences ago? And several times? - The reason he goes to the winery every week and he follows her home every night? Okay I’m interested 👀😂 - An owner of a buisness knowing an employees name isn’t that strange 😂 - Pretty shady Baden would let Calla get so drunk before showing her a contract😂 - HE SLIPPED A SEDATIVE INTO HER DRINK?! - “I slipped a sedative into her drink while she was eyeing the menu. She must not have had much to eat today if the drug set in so quickly. I wanted to be able to get her back to my place, have her hazily sign the contract, and she would be mine for the next year.” wtf - I don’t think this book is for me - How can he guarantee she will be safe when he’s killed his last couple of “wives” when he gets bored of them - Time of DNF 28% I knew there were trigger warnings but I do believe they should’ve warned us how instantly it was. I MIGHT revisit this later but the probability is low. The description of this book really interested me and I was really wanting to read it.
I am extremely grateful for recieving this arc. I don’t think this was written terribly. I just don’t think this book is for me at this moment.
this book was intense! I love a dark romance but this one had moments bordering on the pitch black spectrum so please check your triggers. I love a why chose romance, especially when her two boyfriends are also boyfriends, but in this case it’s her captors are also boyfriends. The plot was so interesting and super dark. He drugs and kidnaps her, like that’s one way to start a book. There’s also a noncon thing going on, and even a forced marriage. There’s also a large BDSM aspect at the start, as he trains her to be his submissive. However I am sad that it sort of fades after Eric is introduced. Calla gets kidnapped and if one forcibly married to one man isn’t bad enough, she has to marry two! Honestly I loved their whole dynamic. Yes, I feel it was deliberately sort of off, because both Eric and Calla are scared of Baden but when they start getting pumped up, all the bad tension is good, just the good sexual stuff. The one thing I can stand for is some good MMF smut! But later tensions arise and there were some pretty insane plot twists, as people are coming after Badens empire. This book ends off on a pretty brutal cliffhanger and l literally screamed when I flicked to the acknowledgements page releasing it was over. I can’t wait for the next in their story! The characters are amazing, yes Baden is pitch black with probably no saving, but I must be a terrible person if after all that, I feel bad for Baden because he’s just lonely. Near the end of this book his sadness is emphasised because the poor guy was just LONELY! And desperate. And I love how he and Eric kind of play good cop bad cop with Calla. They truly are adorable and I can’t wait to see what happens to them next! I give this a 4.5/5
What can I even say about this book… other than it owned me from the very first page. I told myself I’d read a chapter or two before bed and next thing I knew, it was far too late and I didn’t care. I needed to know what happened next.
Cella is a woman shaped by hardship, fighting to save the one place that still anchors her to her past—her childhood home. Then she crosses paths with Baden: arrogant, powerful and dangerously magnetic. He doesn’t just want control—he wants a wife. And once he decides, there’s no escaping his orbit.
Enter Eric, Baden’s best friend and business partner—just as morally grey, just as tempting and far too involved. Together, they form a dark, intoxicating dynamic that blurs lines and tests limits in all the best (and worst) ways.
This story is soaked in tension—power plays, forced proximity, and desire that simmers until it explodes. Every chapter drags you deeper, making it impossible to stop, impossible not to crave more.
And that ending? Absolutely cruel. The kind that leaves you staring at the last page, already counting down the days until book two 😩.
If you love dark romance, forced marriage, forced proximity, erotic thriller vibes and why choose, this book is made for you.
I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this one—and it left me deliciously ruined. 🔥🖤
Advanced Reader Copy this my own honest opinion and review of this book!!!!
** Forced Proximity **Forced Marriage **Kidnapping **MMF **why choose **Obsessive MC This book is a erotic dark romance, check your TRIGGER WARNINGS ⚠️
First off I want to start by saying thank you to Quinn River for giving me the opportunity to read this book in advance!!!
This book had me invested so quick I couldn't put it down. the dynamic between the characters was something else and it developed more and more as the book went on. This was intense and one hell of a ride with twist and turns. Baden was definitely dominant and overwhelming at times but in a good way, Calla was a sassy, feisty, strong willed FMC that definitely made Baden work for her submission, and Eric was the easygoing bridge in-between Calla and Baden but when they all three come together the fireworks are off the charts!! I did like that Eric was added into the relationship dynamic it giving Calla someone to connect with and trust as I feel Eric was also being dominated/controlled by Baden as well which in a sense gave them a bond quickier. I really enjoyed this book, devouring it quicker than i expected and it was over way to quickly for me and then the cliffhanger OMG!! All I can say is I can't wait for the next one to find out what happens next with Baden, Calla and Eric.
I enjoyed this book. It’s dark so check your trigger warnings! I was able to read as an advance copy. I wanted more. The main female character is struggling financially as she is the only one taking care of bills for the house that her and her mom share. The main male character is looking for a submissive wife. He becomes obsessed with FMC and wants her to sign a contract to be his wife. But the he just takes her. I feel like you understand that he had obsessed over her but it moved fast. I think a few more earlier chapters in his POV to beef up the stalking aspect would have made this a 4 star read. They also have the ceremony and the other MMC also weds to this woman and i feel like that came a little out of left field. Maybe more in his POV to strengthen that relationship would be good too. The MMC also is part of an organization that is considered “match making” in which they match more dominant men to submissive wives. This includes a compound that these couples can visit or live to feel more inclusive and less judged. I liked the overall idea of the story i just wanted more. This does end on a cliffhanger so also be prepared to have that WTF moment at the end. With that being said i do plan to read the second book and i look forward to more answers. The spice was good but as i said before TRIGGER WARNINGS. Please read them. Per the author this is considered a dark erotic thriller and not a dark romance.

WOW — in all the best dark ways. This is a deliciously dark and steamy read, full of twists that make you feel like you're on a rollercoaster. I genuinely couldn’t stop reading.
Before diving in, you might want to check the TW first.
At the beginning, I thought, “An older man interested in making a contract with a much younger woman? Is this going to be Fifty Shades?” That thought vanished almost instantly. O.M.G. This book makes Fifty Shades feel like a Hallmark story.
The author says this isn’t a romance — but how much of a dark-book fan am I if I still see it as a kind of romance… in a very unconventional and twisted way?
Our FMC, forced by life to grow up too quickly, finds herself in an unusual, unexpected, and unwanted situation. She must decide how to face it, while everything is at stake and her options are limited.
This is a why choose story, and our MMCs truly live up to the genre: unexpected, morally gray, and deeply twisted. As we learn about their pasts and what shaped them, they somehow become quite captivating. It certainly doesn’t hurt that they’re very attractive. I love dark stories with complex, gray characters.
And that ending? That cliffhanger killed me. I need more. I need answers.
Calla catches the attention of handsome businessman Baden but not in a good way, when he sees her he wants her and does everything in his power to make her his whether she agrees to or not.
“I’ve never wanted another woman as much as I wanted you”
Baden is looking for a wife but the catch is they have to give up their rights,he wants to train, control and own them.He makes Calla walk away from her life by giving her no choice but accept becoming his wife willingly or unwillingly.
He shows no softness to her, he sees it as a weakness. He wants to give her a life where she doesn’t have to worry about safety or money, she just has to give control over to him. Calla is never going to be able to escape, she doesn’t know if she’s going to be able survive him.
“He is breaking me slowly and I don’t know if I have enough will to stop him”
We also meet Baden’s business partner and friend Eric who becomes part of his plan to keep Calla, he can show her the softness that Baden can’t.
This is the first book I’ve read by Quinn Rivers and I absolutely loved reading this book, the captivating story, the morally gray characters and I feel for Calla her life taken away from her and she can’t go back to it, not while Baden owns her.
Well, you did it again, Quinn. Another amazing book! I flew through this in one day because I had to know what would happen next. There are definitely some dark and unsavory moments that add even more excitement to the story. These characters are imperfect and complicated, which makes them completely addictive to read. Calla won me over with her fierce determination and her selfless nature. Baden is all broody and guarded intensity (and yes, VERY), but there’s so much more beneath the surface. But Baden, tisk tisk, naughty guy, some of those things he was doing! And Eric? That softer, protective, thoughtful side had me loving his POV. Calla is one lucky girl getting the best of both of these men. The chemistry and tension between all three was delicious, and I loved watching their relationship grow throughout the story. There were some tasty, unexpected scenes for these characters. There wasn’t a single slow moment for me. I love Quinn’s writing style and now I’m impatiently waiting for book two because I NEED those answers!
