Sylvie Lainé is a native French language trainer, writer and translator. She is a graduate of the University of Caen (France) in Applied Language Studies and Linguistics and a graduate of the University Erlangen-Nurnberg (Germany) in Romance Philology. Over 15 years experience of providing language training to adults allow her to understand their difficulties and challenges. In february 2013 she created the “Easy French Reader Series for Beginners”.
She wants to create carefully written and exciting stories to help her students escape grammar and exercise books. She wants her students to enjoy reading and learn the language without the feeling of overwhelm and frustration that they get from many French books. As she found nothing especially written for beginners on the Internet, she came up with the idea of writing stories herself.
She was born in Normandy and lives now in the south of France.
Une lecture divertissante! Another fun, easy to read tale en français starring Louis with his fumbling French and his long suffering wife, Melba. This is the longest novella in the series by writer and teacher, Sylvie Lainé. Great for reviewing basic vocabulary and structure through narrative. A creative and productive approach to the teaching of language.
Finding stories for learners who are A1/B1 that are not too basic or too complex is difficult. Not to mention finding stories with accompanying audio. Sylvie Lainé story was an enjoyable little adventure with amusing charaters.
To read this you’ll need some French knowledge, but the way it’s written makes it perfect for the upper beginner learner. I had fun reading it and my reading ability improved too.
J’adore !I have been learning French for three months now, and this book gave me courage. I actually finished three French story book already! I want to thank the author for her effort :)))
Very nice book. But I read it under Kindle Unlimited subscription. And there was no way to listen to the audio. Therefore, pronunciation was not a help with this book. I could only read it.
My first French book! Very very good for beginners. Would highly recommend if you are starting out learning French - although it may be useful knowing a couple of grammatical structures and phrases.
